Chapter Eight
I ran through the woods unsure. Who was I looking for? What was I looking for? I stopped in my tracks, seeing my aunt Kate standing inches away from a beautiful white wolf. She had her bow and arrow drawn, ready to let go. I glanced at the wolf and instantly felt a deep connection with her.
"Kate don't!" I shouted running up behind her as she looked back at me smiling. She turned her attention back to the wolf, "You can't do this! Think of your daughter!" I pleaded with her. She just laughed at me and said,
"Allison, just because I gave birth to a wolf, doesn't mean I don't hunt them anymore."
"What about the code!" I yelled, but she just shook her head.
"I go by my own rules. There's no code." She spoke before she let her arrow go.
"No!" I screamed as the arrow hit the wolf as everything changed. Kate vanished as the wind picked up. I stared at the wolf who now had a bright glow around her. She lifted into the air, stopping in front of the little ball of sunshine left in the woods. I covered my eyes as the light got brighter and brighter.
After a minute, the bright light fades into darkness. I uncovered my eyes and saw the one white wolf is now a teenage girl. She had dark brown hair and glowing blue eyes. She looked to be a little taller than me and wore a white as snow long dress. She slowly was guided back to the ground as I slowly stood up, then carefully tipped toed over to her.
"Malia?" I questioned, standing two feet away. Her head popped up at me, seeing her eyes now dark brown.
"Who are you?" She asked, staring back at me. I opened my mouth and said-
"Allison. Allison wake up."
My eyes slowly opened, staring up at Scott, "Come on sleepily head." He giggled.
"What?" I replied confused.
"Come on." Scott laughed. "We still have one more day of school before we graduate." He kissed my lips. "I'll see you downstairs." He whispered. He stood up and left the guest bedroom. I sighed and sat up in bed. My hand rested on my stomach for a minute. I was now seven months pregnant. I was surprised that I didn't gain that much pregnancy weight.
Yes, it looked like I have a baby belly, but it didn't look like I was gonna pop in two months.
I slid myself to the edge of the bed and got dressed.
"How'd you sleep last night?" Scott asked as he drove us to school. "Are you still having that dream?" My eyes flickered over to him and nodded.
"I don't get it tho." I sighed. "Right after she asks: 'who are you?'. I wake up." Scott chuckled at me. "It has to mean something. I've been having this dream for a month now."
Scott shrugged. "Maybe it means someday, you'll meet her." I smiled over at him. "What?"
"Maybe you're right." I replied. The car fell silent for a few minutes. I glanced down, rubbing my belly. "You know, we still need to decide on their names." My eyes flickered over to Scott again. "We were going to put them over the cribs." Scott nodded agreeing. I took out my phone and opened the notes app.
"The top four names for McCall baby #1 are Chloe, Emily, Robin, and Emma." I read from my phone. "The top four names for McCall baby #2 are Dani, Chloe, Quinn and Tori."
"We seemed to like the name Chloe." Scott commented. "I mean we have it listed under both." He smiled.
"So the name Chloe is for sure." I said, checking off both boxes in the name lists. "What about a second name?" Scott shrugged his shoulders.
"Which one do you like the most?" My eyes scanned through all, now seven, names.
"Quinn." I smiled. "Quinn McCall. It's different."
"Quinn and Chloe McCall?" Scott said out loud. He thought for a moment, then nodded. "I love it."
My lips peered into a grin. "Me too." I giggled, then took his free hand. I held it the rest of the way to school.
We pulled into the parking out of Beacon Hills High School. I could stop thinking about how our lives were about to change in just a few months. Once the McCall Twins are born.
Honestly, I was worried about money. I mean, Scott got a huge raise a few months ago and I was still doing my babysitting gigs. But I kept thinking what if:
What if something goes wrong when I give birth? What if we can't support them? What if we have to give them up?
"Hello, earth to Allison!"
I snapped out of my thoughts, staring blankly at Lydia and Stiles.
I shook my head. "Sorry, what?" Scott looked over at me as Lydia said.
"You've been zoning out all day."
I didn't realize I was wrapped up in my thoughts for so long. Scott and I were now at lunch, sitting across from our two best friends.
"Sorry." I apologized. My checks blushing from embarrassment.
"Have you guys decided on their names yet?" Stiles asked, changing the subject. "We're dying to know." My eyes shifted over to Scott.
"We decided this morning on the way to school." He told them. I could tell Lydia was getting excited, she was about to slip off her chair.
I smiled. "Their names are Quinn and Chloe." Lydia and Stiles smiled at our names choices..
"Quinn and Chloe MCall?" Stiles said in a questioning tone. "I love it." Lydia nodded agreeing. Scott and I looked at each other for a moment.
We turned our attention to our best friends again as I spoke, "There's something Scott and I wanna to ask you guys."
Scott sighed, smiling. "We want you guys to be their god parents. You know, if anything happens to us." Stiles and Lydia stared at me in shock.
"Are you guys serious?" Stiles asked after a silence. We nodded yes. Stiles and Lydia glanced at each other for a moment.
My eyes flickered up my best friend. "Lydia?" She looked back at me and smiled.
She shook her head, smiling. "Of course I will, Allison."
"Stiles?" Scott looked at his best friend. Stiles heavily sighed glancing at Lydia.
"You guys are insane." He looked back at us. "But I love you guys. So I'll do it too." Scott and I smiled happily at them.
SCOTT'S POV
"Hey, we should all hang out tonight?" Stiles suggested, once again changing the subject.
"Yeah!" I smiled. "We haven't done that for a while since... you know." I looked over at Allison. She grinned at me, her cheeks blushing.
"It will be fun to do something teenageray again." She commented.'
"Well, how about a movie?" Lydia suggested. Stiles put his arm around her as Lydia moved closer to him. "I heard The Maze Runner came out last weekend. It's suppose to be amazing."
"Sounds great!" Allison smiled.
"Cool." Stiles commented. "Sounds like a plan."
"Wait, do you guys have lacrosse practice after school?" Allison asked realizing. Stiles and I both nodded.
"We'll go after then." I shrugged.
Honestly, I really wanted to hang out with our friends again. Ever since Allison and I told everyone, we've been distracted with worrying about money, finding our own place, work, and... of course, getting ready for the McCall twins.
Recently, I've been thinking about asking Allison to marry me. We've both of legal age and we were starting a family. How could we not get married? Even Allison refers to the twins as 'The McCall Twins'. I knew she was thinking about it herself. I don't know if our close friends or even our families would be supportive of this decision or not.
They were supportive about the twins. Why not us getting married too?
"Scott?" Allison's voice said, snapping me out of my thoughts. My head turned to her as she giggled at me. "Come on, we're going to be late for class." She stood up and held out her hand for me. My hand slipped into hers as I stood up and the two of us walked to our next class.
