Abe remembers back in 2002 that he had owned a special VCR that responded to him whenever he would speak to it.

Despite it being advanced for its time, he had to accept the fact that video cassettes are now a thing of the past. That past was pretty much his present for most of his life, he reminded himself.

The Digital Versatile Disc, or DVD as it's more commonly known, is the more widely used piece of physical media. Those were Confucius's words. Not his.

With his first week back to school now behind him, Abe is now hanging out with his new set of friends at Confucius's house enjoying a movie night.

For him, it now seems like nothing's changed as he's used to having those with Gandhi and Joan. He had tried to invite Gandhi over, but he declined. Saying he had some of his own stuff to work out.

Tonight however, the group had a surprise in store for their newest friend. It turns out that back in 2012, Steven Speilburg of all people had directed a movie centered around the original Abraham Lincoln himself.

If Abe never had been frozen in that ice box, he would have had to wait a little less than ten years to watch this film. He would have been twenty-six years of age if all went well enough for him.

And the fact that it was Steven Speilburg that directed this film had made it far more exciting for him as he's a huge fan of Indiana Jones. (Dante did tell him that the one made in 2008 wasn't all that good. He'll have to see for himself at a later time.)

Back then, he bought several biographies of Abraham Lincoln. All of them were published in the 1980s and the 1990s. He had told himself that he was going to find the time to read them but it never came.

He simply let himself get distracted as his junior year at Clone High was hectic to say the very least. Cleopatra Smith had her way of grabbing his attention. Now, he can only hope she's doing well as he now has his new friends getting him back on track.

Today, he now feels more closer to the original Abraham Lincoln than at any other time during his life. It's something he couldn't put into words just yet, but given enough time he doesn't doubt that he'll find them.

Right now he'd been sitting down for a little less than two and a half hours, however with the content of the movie, he felt like he just sat down.

It was almost ten o' clock when the last scene of the movie was shown to him:

Abraham Lincoln passes away with a peaceful expression on his face. Having relentlessly fought over the course of his presidency only to get killed just five days after the south surrendered.

Noticing his expression, Confucius spoke to him. "Even when you knew it was coming, it still gets you, doesn't it?"

"Oh yeah." Abe nodded. "Everything I thought I knew until now is nothing compared to this."

William Wilberforce, who had been watching alongside his friends, took the time to stretch his arms before speaking.

"Well, now that you've seen what we wanted you to see, what'll you do now?"

Abe sighs. "I don't know. This is… all so much to take in. I know I've said it before, but I'm really struggling here. I know I'm really lucky to have you guys to help me out with adjusting to this world, but I can feel that there's still so much that I need to know."

Now it's Dante's turn to speak. "Hey, we all know how you feel, Abe. We've all been there. Clones of philosophers, poets, warriors…"

He points at Nikola Tesla. "Geniuses… but we make the choice to move forward together."

Confucius nods. "It doesn't matter how slowly we move forward as long as we don't stop. That quote always helps me get through my day if I ever find myself going through a tough time. Can I ask you a question, Abe?"

His friend's sudden request was enough to shake Abe to his core. He wanted to know if it was okay for him to ask a question?

Abe exhaled, which didn't go unnoticed by Confucius. "Sure dude. Go ahead. Ask me anything."

Confucius then stood up and moved directly in front of Abe. Looking down at him as he spoke.

"After having seen this movie for yourself, can you describe to us in your own words: What was the original Abraham Lincoln fighting for?"

Abe exhaled again. This time, it was a sigh of relief. The question seemed simple enough. He should have no problem answering it.

He opens his mouth to speak, but is surprised when he discovered he wasn't able to talk. This should be an easy one for him, yet he is unable to answer it.

The reason why: He had never asked this question to himself. There was just no reason to. Abraham Lincoln was a good guy and everybody who stood against him was pure evil. There wasn't anything more to it.

Confucius, noticing Abe's struggle to speak, eases his tone a little.

"It's okay Abe. Take your time. We're not in a rush."

After racking his brains for what seemed like an eternity, Abe gives Confucius his answer.

"Abraham Lincoln… fought to preserve the United States. Abolishing slavery as he did so. He led the north to win the Civil War."

Confucius looked at his friends before looking at Abe again. It's clear that the answer he was told wasn't what he wanted to hear.

"Well… that is an answer alright. It's not the one I was looking for, but it isn't wrong. I was expecting something a bit more… simpler… But I'll let you go for now."

Abe breathes out another sigh of relief, but he knows he isn't out of the woods yet.

What exactly was Confucius Foster seeing that he wasn't seeing? Something tells him that he has a lecture coming his way in the future and he better pay attention if he knows what's good for him.

Confucius claps his hands. Snapping Abe out of his thoughts.

"WELL… I think we can all watch one more movie before I turn in for the night! The night is still young."

He points to a nearby shelf where he keeps all his DVDs.

"I think it's best if you'll make the choice for us, Abe. What'll it be?"

Abe stood up from his seat and made his way towards the shelf. "Well… I don't know exactly what I want to watch. There are just so many… Hold on!"

He grabs a movie and looks at it.

"There's a movie where Abraham Lincoln hunts VAMPIRES!? Oh, I GOTTA watch this!"

The other four guys chuckle to themselves as they see Abe rush over to the DVD player.

"I told you guys he'd be blown away." Said Dante.

Monday came much quicker than Abe thought.

In addition to watching his new favorite movie, he spent much of his time looking into the new world.

He still had some time before homeroom so he went straight to his locker. As he was putting in the combination to his lock, he got lost in his thoughts as he usually does since being unfrozen.

He was in the middle of reciting a song he was obsessed with when he heard a voice from behind him.

He turns around to see Principal Scudworth with a big smile on his face.

"Principal Scudworth, uh… You said you need to see me? Is there anything wrong?"

Scudworth doesn't stop smiling. "No no. There's nothing wrong. Quite the opposite actually. Listen, the Gen Z students. I've noticed they've taken a liking to you!"

Abe couldn't help but smile back. "Well you know. I try my best when it comes to meeting new people. I try to stay positive and…"

"Yeah yeah. I get that." Interrupted Scudworth. "That's not why I'm talking to you. You know the millennial students; the ones you originally grew up with, a lot of them aren't acting as friendly as you are and I was wondering if you could… try to soften them up a little?"

Abe's smiles faded and so did Scudworth's. After a bit of time, he spoke.

"Well Scudworth… I can't really.. Make them LIKE the newer students… But I'll see what I can do. I mean… there really is no place for hate in Clone High."

Scudworth's face lit up. "That's exactly what I've said to… Well who they are isn't important. Just keep up the good work and I'll be sure to help you out whenever you need it. Okay great. Thank you!"

As Scudworth walks away, Abe couldn't help but think to himself.

Who exactly are 'they?'
