Author's Note: Hello, hello, my readers, welcome back to The Many Adventures of Iron Dad and Spider Son! Like I said in the last note, this chapter is strictly fluff before the next bout of angst. Here in this chapter, we are tackling MOVIE NIGHT! Tony and Peter have a little conversation as they settle down to watch a movie! It's a little shorter, but only because the last one was so long. Think of this as a little breather! I hope you all enjoy it! BUT…before we get to that…REVIEW REPLIES!

Sillysammijo: HECK YEAH! 50 CHAPTERS! Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed how this ended because you are right. Toomes was not an all-evil guy. At the end of the day, he was trying to protect his family, but he still did wrong and needed a wake-up call! I hope you continue to enjoy the rest!

Wandamarie: You're welcome! And thank you!

Movie Night (March 2017)

It had been a long week after Peter told his mentor about the warehouse incident on Homecoming Night…and after Tony confronted Toomes…without Peter or even May knowing, but nevertheless, both Peter and Tony were looking forward to their Lab Day that Friday. After what happened last week, Tony decided it was best to also include a movie on this Lab Day as well. As much as he and Peter enjoyed working on their suits, Peter's webshooters, and the nanotech project, the billionaire knew his intern could use the break. So, after working on the nanotech project for a couple hours, Tony and Peter managed to pull themselves away to go have dinner in the penthouse.

"So, what are we having tonight, Mr. Stark?" Peter asked as he watched Tony turn off the lights in the lab.

"Well, I figured we could have some good ol' Italian tonight, kid," Tony said wrapping an arm around Peter's shoulders as Peter returned the gesture while walking to the elevator. "How does that sound?"

Peter's smile widened. "Sounds good," he said. "I've been craving some pasta." They walked into the elevator before the doors closed. "You sure you won't burn it this time?"

Tony couldn't help but laugh as the teen's comment. That was something he had been noticing between him and Peter. Ever since they started seeing each other every week, the billionaire found that he and Peter were becoming more and more comfortable in joking around with each other. They had made comments here and there before, but now, he was noticing that they could genuinely joke around with each other. It brought that same warm feeling in his chest, and it was nice to see that they were becoming closer. He had to wonder if it was also because Peter opened up to him about the warehouse incident just the week before, but he didn't mind. Whenever he knew that Peter was happy and calm, he was happy. "I'll do my best, kid," he said patting Peter's shoulder.

Peter couldn't help but chuckle at their little joke. "Well, I trust that you," he said, "but if you do need help, I would love to."

"Tell you what, kid," Tony replied as the elevator door opened up in the penthouse, "how about you set the table? Just get some plates, utensils, the usual."

"Sure thing," Peter replied with a smile.

"Any chance you can teach Aunt May how to cook?" Peter asked as he sat back in his chair feeling full. "Because you've had an amazing streak so far since that breakfast incident?"

"You trying to butter me up now, Parker?" Tony asked raising an eyebrow at the teen sitting across from him. "Because it's possibly working."

"I wasn't intending on it, Mr. Stark, but…sure!"

They both lightly chuckled as Tony himself sat back in his seat.

"Seriously, Mr. Stark," Peter said, "it was delicious, thank you."

"You're welcome, kid," Tony said. "It was my mom's recipe. She and Jarvis—the butler, not the AI taught me, and I would always help her make it when I was a kid."

Peter gave him a sad smile. He had come to like hearing Tony talk about his parents, especially his mother and former butler. "I wish I had a chance to learn something like that from my mom," he said after a moment. "May has tried to teach me, but…like I've said…not exactly like Gordon Ramsey."

Tony nodded as he watched that look come over Peter's face—the same look he had when he explained that he didn't learn how to tie a tie when his father and uncle weren't around anymore. "You know," he finally said after a moment of silence, "if you're ever interested, whenever you come over for dinner, I could always teach you how to cook. That way you can take it home and show May."

Peter widened his brown eyes as he stared at Tony in shock. "R-Really?" he asked. "Y-You don't have to, sir. Really, you don't have to."

"I'm well aware I don't have to, kid," Tony said with a smile, "but I want to. I want to teach you, Peter. Besides, if I don't, who will?"

Peter beamed from ear to ear as his heart swelled with warmth and happiness at the fact that his mentor was so willing to teach him how to cook…how to tie a tie…how to be a superhero. He was really…truly enjoying every minute of it, and he couldn't help but wonder if this was something long-term…or if there was an expiration date. He didn't want to think about his time with Tony Stark coming to an end after this school year or…if it was supposed to last forever. He wasn't sure how to bring it up…or if he wanted to bring it up.

"So, what do you say we clean up and settle down on the couch and watch that movie?" Tony asked unknowingly jolting Peter out of his thoughts.

The teenaged superhero smiled. "I say that's a good idea," he said. He decided to bring the other topic up another day. For now, he was going to enjoy the night with his mentor.

It didn't take Peter long to decide what movie he wanted to watch with Tony, and of course, it ended up being a Star Wars movie. Tony smiled and relented once his intern made the selection. The billionaire gladly sat next to his intern as said intern pressed play on the remote.

"So…how have you been doing, kid?" Tony asked Peter after a moment as the movie began.

Peter furrowed his eyebrows together as he looked at Tony. He had a feeling as to what Tony was asking him, but he didn't know precisely what he was referring to. "How've I been doing?" he repeated. "Doing with what?"

"You know…with…what happened last Thursday," Tony asked raising his eyebrows.

Peter felt chills go up his spine as the memories from last Thursday night—when he was trapped under rubble yet again and when Tony answered his calls for help and came with Rhodey to rescue him. "Oh, I've been okay," he replied after a moment. "I mean…I had a couple of nightmares this past week, but…nothing too bad." It wasn't a lie. Unfortunately, reliving the warehouse incident resulted in a few nightmares this past week, and they seemed to revolve around Toomes trapping him in the collapsed building and being unable to stop him from…killing May, Ned, and even Tony. Somehow, his subconsciousness included Tony Stark—his mentor and hero—as someone Toomes could've gone after if he went through with his threats. Another one involved Liz being mad at him for putting her father in jail.

"Are you sure?" Tony asked after a moment. "Because…I talked to May today, and we said that…you know…we know this whole thing has been rough for you. So…if you ever feel like you want to talk to a professional…that's perfectly fine, bud."

"You mean…like a psychologist?"

Tony nodded.

"W-Well, I mean…how could I do that when I want to keep Spider-Man a secret? I can't exactly lie to a therapist."

"We would take care of that. I could find someone you, May, Pepper, and I all trust and make them sign a non-disclosed agreement to make sure they keep your secret."

"Those usually work?"

"You'd be surprised," Tony replied chuckling, "but again, it's only if you want to. I just want to make sure you know that that is an option if you feel you need it. God knows it sure helped me after the whole thing in New York, and I know from what you've told me…the whole thing with Toomes has been tough to deal with. I just want you to know that…it's okay to want help. All superheroes need help sometimes…whether it's in the field…or in the mind."

Peter smiled. "Thanks, Mr. Stark," he said after a moment. "I-I really appreciate it, but…I-I don't really feel like talking to a therapist—not right now anyway. If it's all the same with you, I'd much rather talk to just you and May about it, especially you. I-I like having you around to talk about all the superhero stuff with…and the other stuff, too, the big and small stuff, and I know that I can trust you and want to talk to you about it if I ever need to."

"Oh yeah," Tony said wrapping an arm around Peter, "absolutely, kid. You can always talk to me about anything—superhero-related or not. I'll always be there to listen, no matter what."

Peter's smile widened as his heart swelled. "Thanks, Mr. Stark," he said, "again."

"You're welcome," Tony replied, "again."

With a chuckle from them both, they both turned back to watch the movie. No one could know for sure what was to come for Tony and Peter, but for now, that was a question for another day. For now, they could just enjoy the movie.
