Chapter 49

Later that morning, Stephanie and Tiegan are hanging out at the Bayside Diner.

"So, I had a dream about Louis and he was telling me to move on with my life, but never to forget the memories we shared." Stephanie said.

"I had a similar dream about Corey, too!" Tiegan said. "That's crazy."

"I do miss them, though."

Tiegan gave a sympathetic look to her best friend before saying, "So do I, Steph."

"What's the time, Tiegz?" Stephanie asked.

"It's nearly 11 o'clock." Tiegan replied.

"Good. I'll be home in time for Ricki Lake."

"I love that show." Tiegan said. "Pity it's on while we're in school. I love the school holidays."

"Me too!" Stephanie said.

Sonia and her bitchy friends enter the diner and immediately see Tiegan and Stephanie.

"Look who it is, girls." Sonia barked. "The self proclaimed loser friends of Selina Roberts!"

Tiegan just rolled her eyes, while Stephanie shook her head in disbelief.

"And it's the bitch from Summer Bay High herself!" Tiegan responded in a sarcastic tone.

"Watch it, Tiegan!" Amy warned.

"Or what? You'll all beat me up?!"

"Listen, go and annoy someone else." Stephanie told the three bullies.

Sonia glared at the two girls before turning to face Amy and Kim.

"Let's go, girls." Sonia told them.

"See you later, bitches!" Tiegan said, waving dismissively.

Sonia and her bitchy friends then walked out of the Diner.

"Don't they know when to quit, Tiegz?" Stephanie asked her.

"Beats me." Tiegan replied.

Meanwhile, Pippa was doing the washing up in the kitchen when the phone rang. She took off her rubber gloves before answering it.

"Hello, Summer Bay Caravan Park?"

"Pippa, it's Helen James." said the voice on the other end of the phone.

"Oh, Mrs James. How are you?"

"I'm well, thank you." Helen replied. "Listen, are you able to foster two teenagers temporarily?"

"Who are they?" Pippa asked.

"Ryan Scheppers and his sister, Anita. They'll be staying with you for two weeks at least. Their mother, Hilary, had a heart attack and she needs surgery."

"I'll more than happily take them in." Pippa said. "When can I expect them to arrive?"

"Sometime this afternoon." Helen replied.

"No worries, Mrs James." Pippa said. "Thank you and I'll see you this afternoon. Alright, bye."

Pippa hangs up the phone before continuing to wash the dishes.

That afternoon, Selina is getting ready to leave the Gold Coast. She is not happy about it.

"This is totally unfair, Irene!" Selina whinged. "You came here just to drag me back to Summer Bay!"

"Running away isn't the answer to your problems, Selina!" Irene snapped. "You can always see Jerome again, so stop whining like a toddler!"

Jerome enters through the front door, having returned home from school.

"You leaving, babe?" Jerome asked Selina.

"I don't have a choice." Selina said, looking at Jerome sadly. "But I'll come back and visit soon."

"I love you." Jerome said, before hugging Selina tight.

"I love you, too." Selina said, choking up.

Jerome then watched Selina and Irene leave before sighing sadly. Outside, Selina stormed over to the taxi and got in the front seat, slamming the car door as she got in!

"Don't slam the car door, girlie!" Irene said angrily.

"SHUT UP!"

Selina gazed out the front window, tears streaming down her face as she looked at the passing buildings.

My life is over! I hate you, Irene! she thought to herself.

Back in Summer Bay, Ryan and Anita Scheppers have arrived at Summer Bay House.

"Now, I'm sure you'll get used to this town in a matter of days." Pippa said to them. "I hope that your mother will make a speedy recovery."

"We hope so, as well." Anita responded.

"Is there anything to do here?" Ryan asked Pippa.

"Well, there's the beach, the diner, the surf club, an RSL and a fish and chip shop." Pippa replied. "Nearby Yabbie Creek is the main commercial hub for us Summer Bay locals."

"Neet and I will have to check it out."

Tiegan arrives back from her outing with Stephanie and is shocked to find Ryan and Anita standing there.

"I don't believe this." Tiegan said.

Anita notices Tiegan and gave her a smile.

"Hey there, Tiegan." Anita said. "Long time, no see."

Tiegan just stared in shock.

- Selina gives Irene the silent treatment, prompting Finlay to tell her off
