Chapter 50

"Oh my god!" Tiegan exclaimed. "Ryan and Anita Scheppers from my old high school are here in the Bay?!"

"That we are, Tiegz." Anita said.

"It has been a long while!"

Tiegan then gave Anita and Ryan a hug.

"So, what are you guys doing here?" Tiegan asked.

"We've come to stay here for a few weeks." Ryan replied. "Mum had a heart attack and she needs surgery."

"Oh my god, that's awful!" Tiegan said, looking sad.

"Aren't you going to introduce me, Tiegan?" Stephanie asked.

"Oh sorry, Steph." Tiegan said, laughing. "This is Stephanie Mboto. Stephanie, Ryan and Anita Scheppers."

"Nice to meet you." Stephanie said.

"Likewise." Ryan said.

"Well, Ryan and Anita." Pippa said. "Let me show you to where you'll be sleeping."

Ryan and Anita followed Pippa upstairs.

"They seem nice." Stephanie said to Tiegan.

"Yeah, they're nice people." Tiegan stated.

That night, Selina and Irene return home after getting a train back to Yabbie Creek from Sydney Airport.

"I see you brought Selina home, Mum." Finlay said, glancing at Selina.

"Yes, finally!"

Selina rolled her eyes and threw her headband on one of the dining room chairs.

"Darl, how about we have some pasta dinner?" Irene suggested to Selina.

Selina ignored Irene and sat on the armchair watching Prime Local News.

"Selina, I'm talking to you!" Irene snapped.

Selina pulled a sarcastic face at Irene, which caused Finlay to look annoyed.

"I better go freshen up." Irene said before making her way upstairs.

After a few seconds of silence, Finlay decided to tell Selina off about her behaviour.

"You know you're being really selfish treating Mum like that!"

"Who asked you?!" Selina asked angrily.

"So what if Jerome moved to the Gold Coast, Selina!" Finlay snapped back. "It's not as if you'll never see him again! You have no idea how worried Mum was about you running away!"

"Poor diddums to her!" Selina shouted.

Finlay slapped Selina very hard across the face!

"You are lucky to have someone like Mum caring about you!" Finlay continued saying. "So, I suggest you stop treating her like crap!"

Finlay then stormed off upstairs as Selina held her cheek with a scowl on her face.

At the Bayside Diner, Nicholle was having a milkshake when she decides to call Stuart on her phone.

"Hi, Stuart." Nicholle said. "It's me. I've been meaning to talk to you and I just felt that you should know that it's over between us."

Nicholle happens to see Curtis walk in at that moment.

"Look, it's not working out okay. It's over! Goodbye!" Nicholle said before hanging up the phone.

"Hey, Nick Knack." Curtis said.

Nicholle smiled at Curtis before saying, "Hey there, stud muffin."

"Mind if I joined you?" Curtis asked.

"Sure."

Curtis sat next to Nicholle, who was finishing her milkshake.

"Is everything okay?" Curtis asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Nicholle replied.

"Come on, you can tell me."

"Oh, it's Stuart." Nicholle responded. "He, uh, dumped me."

"I'm sorry to hear." Curtis said.

"No, the best thing about it is that I get to date you." Nicholle said with a smirk.

Curtis and Nicholle then kissed each other.

At Summer Bay House, Ryan and Anita are settling in.

"I like it here, Neet." Ryan said. "Why don't we check out Yabbie Creek tomorrow?"

"Okay." Anita said softly.

"Neet, Mum will be alright." Ryan reassured his sister.

"What if she dies, Ryan?" Anita said, a tear falling down her left cheek.

"She won't die." Ryan told her. "Trust me on this."

Ryan then hugged Anita as she started to cry.
