A/N: I didn't really make a Valentines fic 'cuz I didn't anticipate writing for this ship again. But as thanks for the warm welcome back, consider this my early Valentine's Day gift—it's just fluff.

I'm gonna republish this and my other works in another site AO3, since I understand the formatting there better. Also, the words won't just randomly disappear on me, if you wanna read the edited versions I'd say to go there instead. Maybe even read my other fics in other fandoms if you're interested (GojoxUtahime from JJK). Anyways, enough shameless self-promotion —

About last chapter (Defeat) I was originally planning to make that one longer actually but then I started getting other ideas and chose to write those instead :P. I might write a second part, but since I have another angst fic ready (It's multiple parts will be posted next week) I won't make any promises.

Can I just say just how much I love Liebe? Like he could be an asshole but he is also wholesome at the same time? HE'S SO CUTE I CAN'T—I WANT A PLUSHIE OF HIM. Since he's been in the grimoire this whole time, I've always wondered what he thought about Asta's harem. And of course, which one he was rooting for ;). There is only one correct answer, any other will be seen as traitorous (You know which XD). So here is Astelle in his POV.

C10: Blind

It's funny how a demon living through another person is capable of seeing more than his host but he supposes that was because his adoptive brother is an idiot. So, if you asked Liebe what he thought about the multitude of women pining for the dumbass' affections he would only say one thing.

It was cringe.

No one else will ever understand the painful experience of sitting through awkward interactions whenever a girl tries to make a move on the oblivious antimage. Meanwhile, his dense brother just carries on to treat them as friends while simultaneously winning them over even more.

Tsk. Smooth bastard.

It was incredibly unfair and really, he ought to smack his adoptive brother upside the head. A good hit for every time he was blindsided to notice romantic tension, that was at least 15 strikes, who knows maybe the impact would shuffle his brain enough to revive a couple brain cells.

You didn't know that the girl flaunting her boobs was flirting with you? Smack. You weren't aware that signing off your body to let her "experiment" on you might be an innuendo? Smack. A girl kissed you on the cheek during your date but she's really just good platonic company? Smack.

See what Liebe has to deal with on a regular basis? No? Of course not, because everyone else finds it, oh so hilarious, but he's not laughing dammit!

Seriously, how can Asta not see that Noelle, Mimosa, Rebecca, Sally and Nero (actually that last one is a maybe—the bird was harder to read) have a crush on him? These women are all completely different from one another as well, some even fitting certain archetypes!

Noelle (tsundere/himedere)- the one that is stuck in denial

Mimosa - the nice one that is too shy to admit

Rebecca - the relatable one that is aware of her feelings but doesn't pursue

Sally (yandere)- the creepy obsessive one

Nero (kuudere)- the stoic one that is hard to read

Hell, did Asta keep a checklist or something? Is it his goal to make every type of woman fall for him? Regardless, the demon will forever question the tastes of those whose hearts were conquered.

If you asked Liebe which of his brother's admirers was most foolish, he'd already have an answer. And that title was most appropriately deserved by one Noelle Silva.

Maybe it was a bit of a biased judgement considering that compared to everyone else, she was with the antimage the most and therefore also the closest to him by default. You would think that was an advantage for her but that was exactly why she was so stupid. Rather than making the most of her convenient status as one of Asta's closest friends, she'd prefer to hide her feelings behind nonsensical insults, annoyingly obvious demands to catch his attention and random acts of violence.

You know what, on second thought perhaps Noelle was already doing the smacking for him.

It's ironic how in her effort to prove that she wasn't interested, it only made her crush more glaringly obvious.

What was even more frustrating is that his brother has no clue even though she tried catching his attention in the most absurd and roundabout ways! Surely, he would've questioned the number of times he just "happens" to stumble into her during his mixer dates when she most definitely just followed him around, right? But no, Asta doesn't even suspect it and Liebe can only rolls his eyes at her terrible excuses.

He even remembers that one time she wore a bikini to impress him, while his brother just regards her with this confused blank look. One cannot explain just how badly Liebe wanted to smash his head against a wall; repeatedly until a crater formed or he died from blunt force trauma, whichever came first. And yet there were also times that the demon couldn't help but want to applaud his brother whenever he "won" someone over, even if Asta unknowingly did so. But not because it served as dramatic entertainment for a passive observer like himself — don't ever assume he likes trashy romance stories (he definitely does). No, it's because sometimes there were glimpses of reciprocation from the magicless boy.

Perhaps this would be ridiculous to conclude, but Liebe believes that his brother is so unbelievably dense to the point that he is not only oblivious to the number of women vying for his attention but he was also unaware of his own budding attraction to one of said women.

So, if you asked Liebe which one had the greatest chance to win his brother over, he'd answer the same person, Noelle Silva.

It's amazing how subtle and slow that development was as well. If one didn't take the time to observe and analyze their every interaction, you would barely ever notice. Sadly, as much as he wouldn't want to immerse himself in his brother's life, a demon sealed within a grimoire literally had nothing else to do, thus he had plenty of time to witness everything and ruminate on it. Not to mention due to the nature of their power Asta's emotions sometimes leaks onto the demon - so in a way they were kind of sharing the same experience. Yes, it is weird - it's best not to think about it.

It was a little unnerving at first whenever his host paid a little too close attention to the water mage, not by sight mind you, his brother found a crafty way to observe her.

Asta had a habit of scanning the Blackbulls members' ki, perhaps as a means to assess everyone's general state of mind. And guess which member he just happens to observe first out of everyone else? The princess, of course! Every day right after his morning routine, he opens the door and immediately anticipates the Silva sitting on the couch. Then they all go and get breakfast. Most of the time her mood was neutral, or mildly intrigued. Noelle would either be talking to Vanessa or reading a book, so she doesn't really notice. Not that she could tell if Asta was reading her ki or not, Liebe kind of wonders if doing that was an invasion of privacy. Anyways, that could have been just a coincidence, maybe Asta just got used to seeking her out first, habits can't be controlled after all. But then other coincidences came up that made it more and more difficult to justify that his actions are nothing but platonic.

His brother was naturally enthusiastic and supportive of his comrades, Liebe however was kind of suspicious of the frequency of this when directed at Noelle Silva. His encouraging words were always effortlessly told, laced with warmth that provided people comfort. For a person like Noelle that had been deprived of such kindness, (hence the low self-esteem issues behind her false arrogance) it means a lot. Maybe Asta only did it more to make her forget all the bad experiences she had before? They were close friends after all, and more than anyone, shorty was the person that can understand her pain. Liebe himself faced gruesome discrimination but he can't say he would ever do the same thing. Asta constantly reaffirmed it too, always calling her amazing or impressive, during training or amidst intense situations, even in front of the enemy!

Have you seen what he did during the fight with Vetto? Who else would affectionately ruffle someone's hair like that just before heading into battle? Seriously who? And for whom? If you found anyone else other than Asta, he'd like to ask them a few questions.

That's not all, he goes even beyond that. Whenever she demonstrated her power there was always this impressed or dare-he-say love sick admiration on Asta's stupid face. Granted, his brother always had a dumbass expression whenever he witnessed incredible magic but now that Liebe can sustain a chibi form in the real world, the demon realized there was a subtle difference when it came to her, specifically.

There was a sense of pride beneath his green eyes of enthusiasm and a brimming happiness with her every victory. More than amazed, Asta was proud of her achievements because he could tell that the Silva girl was regaining her confidence and reestablishing the self-esteem that her family had broken down. The antimage may have been blind, but eyes were the windows of the soul for a reason, so even if his brain was slow to comprehend, his body language expressed more than enough to compensate. He was star struck so often because of her. It pretty much confirmed what Liebe had thought.

They only grew worse in the Heart Kingdom.

Although the pair were already training partners before, as rookies they had this unspoken promise to improve and get stronger together. During their stay in Heart, Asta basically had Noelle in his mind 24/7 and spoke of her even during times that she would otherwise never be mentioned. It would be impossible to count how many times Liebe internally groaned whenever Asta had the princess as a passing thought.

Liebe didn't have to be in union mode to know where Asta's thoughts drifted to once they reunited with Luck, after defeating Dante. In fact, he grew even more certain of who he thought of when they headed towards her general direction. No doubt his brother was already tracking her ki in this huge ass palace. Whether he knew it or not, Asta felt something for Noelle, while it may not be outright romantic, he definitely values her. Which is why Liebe is sure that his brother loves her but not exactly in the way you would immediately assume.

Asta loves Noelle as a person, as his precious comrade, as his partner in gaining strength, and that was more than what any other woman had that was currently inlove with him.

Trust what the demon literally named "Love" says, don't laugh he's serious. Oh, you didn't know that's what 'liebe' means in German? Nevermind—as he was saying, he had experienced that same deep affection from Lucita. It was the kind of love that cherishes comforts and nurtures the recipient. Just knowing that someone out there values you makes you want to love yourself as well. And as the recipient, you'd naturally want to return that favor to the best of your abilities.

This wouldn't be the first time that he admitted Asta had taken well after his mother.

So if you asked Liebe who he'd want his brother to end up with, he would choose the tsundere.

Was it cliche? Maybe. Kind of annoying? A little bit. Did he see anyone else that made his brother this happy? Not sure. Besides, the princess isn't really all that bad if she learned to be more honest. In fact, her soft side that she seldom showed were oddly endearing, like that one time she gushed over Nero. Now that he thought about it, Noelle would probably gush over his chibi form too, crap — he better make himself inconspicuous.

It was like clockwork when they arrived to find her mid-battle against Megicula, in a cool new transformation to boot even if she was horribly injured. Asta shows up and cheers her on (by tagging her hand out of all things), Noelle gains hope and gathers enough strength to fight even harder, the enemy gets defeated then they all celebrate blah, blah, blah. Same old, same old, but then something extra happens.

After three days of not seeing each other in preparation for the war against Spade, the two instinctively went to hug each other the moment they got reunited. It would've been such a cute moment, even Liebe wouldn't have minded. Unfortunately, the princess just couldn't help herself and hit Asta as a reaction instead. It left his brother questioning her actions as he flew away. Sure, it was the same pattern of the water mage getting flustered and pushing him away but nobody can deny the fact that she ran towards him. If only that split second of hesitation didn't come, Noelle would've definitely hugged back. And since when did Asta ever initiate to hug the others for a tearful reunion? It goes to show just how much he missed her, after three—Liebe would point out—only three days.

Ugh both are such incredible fools.

In conclusion, Asta and Noelle are a pair of idiots. It was only a matter of time before either of the two would realize how they feel. It may have been frustrating on Liebe's end but he knows they shouldn't rush it. To be fair they were only teenagers. 17-year-olds had plenty of time to digest and realize their feelings, they had more pressing matters to deal with anyways. The problem however, is that based on the Wizard King's predictions his brother could die any time now. So Liebe wonders just how much time these two truly had.

Rereading the manga once more, I have come to realize that they were not in fact about to hug in Chapter 304 like I originally thought, but their sprites looked like they were about to, so I'm going with it. XD reality can be what I want it to be.
