Chapter Eleven:

Dinner proved itself to be a pleasant experience for all four of what some people might consider a slightly odd bunch that was Izuchi Midoriya, Mina Ashido, Nemuri Kayama and Yumi Balalaika. Especially for Mina, who had a particular liking for fish thanks to her Quirk, and what was served for dinner was fish. Izuchi certainly wasn't complaining about the kind of food either, though considering that she didn't particularly care about things like actual taste, just being grateful to be able to eat, it was quite understandable.

Deciding to have a little fun and simply goof off a bit before going to bed, Nemuri booted up a dancing game after finding it on her gaming console (surprising Yumi regarding the fact that Nemuri still had the game installed and hadn't gotten a later entry, implying that it was comparatively old). During one of the songs, 'an immortal classic from the pre-Quirk era' as Nemuri and Yumi called it, Mina took the role of the main dancer with the other three serving as her background dancers, which were represented by a trio of zombies on the screen. And while the dancing game was definitely fun, it burned quite a lot of energy out of the kids to the point where they were very tired after a couple of hours.

Which prompted the start of a debate regarding where Mina would sleep (there wasn't one regarding Yumi as she and Nemuri were planning on sleeping together (in the most literal sense of the phrase) from the start), who (much like Izuchi, for similar but still different reasons) wasn't really picky where to sleep, just being happy to not have to sleep on the streets (especially after the most recent nights where she took shelter from the cold rain inside a rather large (and thankfully empty) trash container). The debate was eventually settled when Izuchi asked Mina if her sharing a room with Izuchi (and possibly a futon as the possibility of Izuchi seeking out and clinging onto Mina in her sleep was something that could actually happen) would be a problem. After some thinking, the very blunt answer was no, Mina wouldn't have a problem sharing a room and possibly a futon with Izuchi, despite the holder of the Rathian-Quirk admitting to (/warning) Mina that she could be clingy, was a hugger and preferred sleeping in her birthday suit. While Mina was surprised by the other girl's blunt admission, blushing slightly, she ultimately didn't care, stating that she'd be a hypocrite if she had a problem with other people preferring to sleep naked as she preferred to do the same (not her exact words but the message still there).

About an hour or two into the night, Izuchi was awoken by the sounds of what was without a doubt Mina thrashing and talking incoherently in her sleep. Turning towards her… roommate, the reptilian girl was greeted by the sight of Mina thrashing in a way that made it rather obvious that the literally pink-skinned girl was having a nightmare, which immediately prompted Izuchi to leave her bed behind, envelope her roommate in a hug and pulling the covers over the two with her tail while carefully making sure she didn't accidentally prick Mina with her poisonous quills. Upon receiving the hug, Mina seemed to calm down, say something about 'her, Miss Guacamole and a tomato forming a Hero-team called the Taco-squad' and subsequently laugh quietly in her sleep, not that Izuchi really paid attention to the second one while finding the sound of Mina's laughter a rather pleasant sound before joining the literally pink-skinned girl in the realm of Morpheus.
