Chapter Fourteen:

The first few days after the trial of Inko Midoriya and Izuchi's goodbye was quite the blurr for the holder of the Rathian-Quirk. Mostly just going through the routine until the weekend after the trial until Nemuri presented something that would once again change Izuchi's life. Adoption papers.

When Nemuri explained that, if she signed the papers, she and Izuchi would legally become mother and daughter, a revelation that prompted Izuchi to, quite literally, leap into Nemuri's arms, hug the dark purple haired woman and start crying tears of happiness. Nemuri suspected however that it wasn't just happiness behind Izuchi's tears, as the holder of the Rathian-Quirk seemed to have been trying to hide her emotions for the past few days, which was something that was almost going against the nature of people in possession of Animal-classed Mutant-Quirks. While it wasn't particularly well known by the general public, holders of Quirks under the same classification as the Rathian-Quirk had been documented to be very honest people, be it in regards to their opinions on something or in regards to their feelings. The fact that Izuchi had managed to keep her emotions in check for this long was actually quite impressive, displaying a surprisingly high amount of willpower (or stubbornness) for a nearly ten year old kid.

Once Izuchi finished crying, she managed to get out that she already considered Nemuri her Mama, which made the dark purple haired woman both blush and smile as she proceeded to sign the adoption papers. Legally making the two mother and daughter. Something that Nemuri naturally asked Izuchi was whether or not the holder of the Rathian-Quirk wanted to change her family name, to which the reply was positive. Which meant that Izuchi Midoriya was now Izuchi Kayama. Something that prompted to give her now legal Mama another hug.

While the pair of now legal mother and daughter were caught up in the moment, Mina and Yumi were pouting and looked at the two in a fond manner respectively. Mina was pouting because she wanted to give her roommate a hug, even if she was happy for said roommate. Yumi was having a fond expression on her face due to being reminded about the time when her then-friend-with-benefits-now-girlfriend comforted her when she got her burn-scar and lost sight in her right eye. It hurt like hell and neither Yumi nor Nemuri would forget nor forgive the Villain response. A Villain that went by the name of his Animal-subclassed Mutant-Quirk, Glavenus (real name: Unknown), who both professional Heroines had a personal vendetta against. According to the government however, Glavenus hadn't legally existed until the day of his debut where he served as the muscle for a bank robbery, the remnants of what appeared to be a branding on his face suggested however that he had been connected (most likely as a victim) to an infamous criminal organization known for kidnapping holders of Animal-subclassed Mutant-Quirks and forcing them to fight in underground cage matches, sometimes to the death. The following rampage through Esuha City, resulted in many injuries, permanent maimings and the deaths of several Pro-Heroes.
