Hello, hello, hello! The 3rd dragneel has appeared to give all of you a new chapter of Pokemon: Clover!
Man, it has been a while, hasn't it? Sorry for the long wait. But considering the new job I have, my writing schedule has been somewhat affected. But, now that I've gotten the hang of things, I can start writing again, so don't worry about it.
I hope everyone is hyped for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl cause I'm… curious. I mean it sucks we might not get any new Mega Evolutions or anything, but the fact we're getting a remake of one of my favorite Pokemon games is great. Maybe when I get a Switch, I could get it. But for those who do, let me know how it is.
But forget about all that for now. ONTO THE REVIEWS!
Messiah of authors: Trust me. When Hydreigon fights, there won't be anything left.

To recap: Asta, Scorbunny and Rookidee started to get used to things at their new base, with Magna and his Pokemon as their guide. However, they were soon confronted by the new recruits Noelle Silva and her partner Piplup. Despite their efforts, Noelle coldly shut them off and even quit the squad, though Piplup was much kinder. Later, Asta and his Pokemon found that Noelle struggled with magic control and when this was discovered, she went on a rampage. Thanks to Asta Anti-Magic and kind words, he was able to break through to Noelle and become her friend.
How will this change affect her? And what new challenges await our heroes? Let's find out...
Calmness. Serenity. A fresh breeze. These are the best words to describe the coming morning. The sun rose from the peak of the mountains as the birds and Pokemon alike flew in the air, ready to scavenge for the day ahead.
And on top of the Black Bulls hideout was none other than Mimikyu, who had decided to take a break from his guard duties to enjoy the nice morning.
"(Sun… so warm)..." Mimikyu commented, his black eyes watching the distance with a look of peace. Truly, the mornings were always his favorite part. And today was even better. Do you know why?
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A battlecry could be heard from inside the base. It was so loud that even the birds outside were frightened by it. Running through one of the many hallways was Asta, who was cleaning the floor with a wet rag while passionately yelling, as he normally would. "HURRY UP, YOU TWO! THESE FLOORS AREN'T GONNA CLEAN THEMSELVES!" Asta called to his Pokemon, who were also cleaning the floor, though not at the same speed as him.
"(Why… are… we… cleaning… so… EARLY)?!" Rookidee called out to Scorbunny as he tried to clean the floor as best he could.
"(I know the feeling. But after a while, you get used to cleaning up early. Plus, that means we get to have fun all day)!" Scorbunny told his fellow Pokemon with a smile as he rushed to catch up to Asta by surfing on his rag.
"Nice one, little buddy!" Asta yelled with a grin as he saw his partner surfing through the hallway. However, before they could continue, the two were suddenly surrounded by a blue aura as they were pulled in the air. "Hey, what the?!"
"(No running in the halls, please)!" Mr. Mime called out, using his powers to hold the Magic Knight and Pokemon in the air. Once he put them down, he took out a rag and showed them how to properly scrub the floor. "(Like this! Strong, yet thorough. Otherwise, nothing will be clean)!"
"Ohhhh… I get it!" Asta realized as he and Scorbunny started copying Mr. Mime. All while Rookidee was watching with a sweatdrop.
Next, he and his Pokemon began dusting off the books in the library, though some started to fall due to Asta's strength. Luckily, Kadabra was there, using his telekinesis to catch the books and return them to their proper spots.
"(Hmmm. Energetic, isn't he)?" Kadabra said to himself as he sipped on his tea cup while using his psychic powers to turn the page on his next book. What can I say? Readers always gotta read.
"SCRUB, SCRUB, SCRUB!" Asta then started scrubbing the clothes of all his squadmates outside, with Scorbunny handing him the dirty ones while Rookidee placed the washed ones in another bucket. However, Asta then grabbed one of Vanessa's purple bras, which resulted in him getting a nosebleed.
Later on, Asta and his Pokemon stood outside of Hydreigon's room, each carrying a large piece of meat. "Okay, on three, we go in and throw the meat. Got it?" Asta asked his Pokemon, who nodded bravely. They knew if they failed this mission… they would be covered in saliva. Asta raised three fingers, causing his partners to tense up.
He went to three.
Then two…
Then one.
"GO!" Asta quickly opened the doors as he and his Pokemon rushed it to throw the food.
However… They failed to comprehend one simple thing.
"(MEEEEEEAAAAAAATTTTTTT)!"
Hydreigon… was much faster.
Asta, Scorbunny and Rookidee's screams echoed through the halls, sending chills down the other Black Bull squad members' spines.
Mission Failed. We'll get him next time.
And the last chore of the day was much harder than even feeding Hydreigon. One chore that caused everyone member of the Black Bulls to shake in fear.

….
Waking up the captain.
"Ummm, captain?" Asta called out while knocking on Yami's bedroom door. However, he got no response. He then tried knocking again, to no avail.
"(Maybe he's not there)." Scorbunny thought while rubbing his chin. Then again, Yami didn't seem like the morning kind of guy… or late morning… over even an afternoon kind of guy. At most, he seemed like a sun setting kind of guy.
"Captain, sir! It's morning!" Being kind of the idiot he was, Asta yelled while knocking harder, in hopes of waking up his captain.
Unfortunately… It proved to be a success.
"Shut up now, or I WILL kill you." Came the irritated voice of Yami Sukehiro. The gravity of his voice caused Asta and his Pokemon to flee in terror, not wanting to die at such a young age.
"WE'RE SORRY!" Asta yelled in fear.
"(And HE was the one who told us to wake HIM up)!" Rookidee shouted, not understanding the logic in Yami's request.
Then again, this was the captain of the rowdiest squad in Clover. So logic was the last thing they had in mind.
'Blackk Bulls Hideout dining hall, sometime later'
After running as far as they could from Yami, the trio ended up in the dining hall, where breakfast was being served. All the Black Bulls, human and Pokemon, were all enjoying their meals, which consisted of mostly meat and wine(most likely from Vanessa).
'First thing in the morning: Meat, meat and more meat.' Noelle thought to herself as she ate said meat with a disinterested look in her eyes. Not that she was against meat. But eating so much of it in the morning was odd. She glanced over at Piplup, who stared at his plate with a conflicted look. "Are you okay, Piplup?"
"(I… have mixed feelings)." Piplup confessed while gulping at his dish. He wasn't the biggest fan of meat, with the exception of a fish now and then. And having cooked meat in front of him wasn't something he would eat so early in the morning.
"(You're not gonna eat that)?" Timburr questioned while walking up to Piplup, carrying a new log under his left arm. When Piplup shook his head, Timburr grabbed his plate and ate all the meat on it, patting his stomach. "(If you wanna grow to be strong like us, you gotta take a chance with meat)!"
"(If he doesn't wish to eat meat, we shouldn't force him too, Timburr)." Leavanny scolded the fighting Pokemon, who merely scoffed before joining Carkol.
"Say, Noelle?" Asta said to his fellow rookie, who turned to him. "How come you haven't been helping out with the chores?"
"The cleaning? I'm royalty." Noelle pointed out like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"(Yeah. A royal pain in the)-" Carkol was struck on the head by Altaria before he could finish his curse, much to his annoyance.
"So what?! You're a new recruit, so you should be helping!" Asta countered, though Noelle waved him off.
"I've never done any cleaning or laundry in my life. Why would I start now?" Noelle questioned with a shrug.
"Don't brag about being lazy!" Asta called her out.
"(Even me and Rowlet had to help out with the cleaning. I guess that's the difference between us and her)." Scorbunny said with a sigh before he saw a shadowy hand appear in front of him, making him jump. He turned to see Mimikyu, who was hiding behind one of the table legs while using his shadowy appendage to offer Scorbunny candy.
"(Candy, new friend)?" Mimikyu offered the fire Pokemon, who slowly shook his head.
"(You get used to it)." Purrloin told Scorbunny with an uncaring tone.
"(Trust me, when I got here with Luck, I almost had a heart attack. I swear, Mimikuyu looked like a dead Pikachu)." Pikachu commented as she ate her meat without a care in the world.
"Hey, Magna sir?" Asta suddenly spoke up to Magna. "What does a Magic Knights squad actually do?"
"Huh?" Magna stood up from his seat and marched over to Asta. "What do you think we do?!" He then grabbed the new recruit by the robe and pulled him close. "We protect the damn country! Keeping the people safe is the manliest job in the world! Why'd ya even join if you were so freakin clueless?!" The others watched as Magna scolded Asta on his lack of knowledge, with the younger of the two trying to defend himself. After a few minutes, Magna scoffed and let go of Asta, allowing him to breathe. "Can someone tell this idiot what a Magic Knight squad does?"
"Well, we like… safeguard the safety of the citizens and whatnot. That sort of thing." Vanessa started, though judging by how red she was, it was clear she was drunk. "And you get to meet some very marvelous gentlemen every now and then."
"Okay. I think I'm getting it." Asta nodded while listening in.
"You also get to fight a lot of strong people while on duty. Not to mention finding strong Pokemon in the wild." Luck added in while leaning towards Asta. "You can spend hours beating up a criminal and no one would be bothered by it!"
"More than anything, it's an excellent career that makes my sister proud. See her?" Gauche chimed in while showing the picture of his sister he had, resulting in a nosebleed than Mr. Mime quickly cleaned up. "But remember this: if you do anything to her, you die!" He said the last part in a deadly serious tone.
"(He really does have what the humans called a 'sister complex,' if what we witnessed is of any indication)." Kadabra said with a calm tone.
"And what about you, Finral?" Asta asked curiously.
"For me, it's about saving women left and right. What more could you ask for?" Finral told him with a wink. Gordon tried to tell them his reason for being a knight… only, he spoke so quietly, it was hard to understand.
"NNNNOOOOOO!" Charmy suddenly let out a scream, getting everyone's attention. However, instead of it being a cry of pain… it was a cry of hunger as Charmy had finished ALL of her food.
"(Oh no. She did it again)." Scolipede sighed, much to the confusion of the newbie Pokemon. Charmy's Grimoire, which was glowing white, suddenly floated in front of her as she donned a determined expression.
"Cotton Creation Magic. Bring on the Sheep Cooks!" Charmy declared as three balls of cotton floated into the air before transforming into three large bipedal sheep, each wearing a chef's hat. Soon, the Sheep Cooks started cooking, using various ingredients in the base. "Alcreamie, your turn!"
"(Right)!" Alcreamie yelled as she suddenly shot a stream of cream into a bowl, which the Sheep Cooks used to make a large cake with several Oran berries on it. Surrounding the cake were multiple meat dishes and some side desserts.
"(... I have no words)." Rookidee spoke up while blinking in confusion.
"Alright! That's more like it!" Charmy cheered before she took a piece of the cake and ate it, moaning at how sweet it was. "MMMMMM! Delicious as usual, Alcreamie!"
"(Stop. You'll make me blush)." Alcreamie told her while swaying left and right in an embarrassed way. However, she let out a yelp when Snorlax scooped up some of Alcreamie's cream, licking his hand. "(Snorlax! That's so rude)!"
"(Hmmm. You taste good)." Snorlax admitted as he licked his fingers, not realizing how dirty his words were.
Grey suddenly walked behind Asta and Noelle, getting their attention. He then took out his aqua blue Grimoire and was engulfed in a puff of smoke. A moment later, Grey emerged as an exact clone of Asta, who gave him and Noelle a smile.
"It's just a good job, ya know?" Grey Asta said while putting a hand on the real Asta's shoulder.
"A clone?" Noelle muttered in genuine surprise.
"(Can you tell who's who)?" Piplup asked Scorbunny, who stared at both Astas with a serious look.
"(Hard to say. They really look alike)." Scorbunny told him before pointing at his nose. "(But I can tell the one on the right is Asta due to his scent)."
"I'm really looking forward to working on our first mission together." Grey Asta told them with a smile before he transformed back into Grey.
"That was… strange." Noelle admitted to herself before she felt someone tap her shoulder. Looking back, she gasped in shock as she was looking at herself… or rather, a somewhat perfect copy. The only giveaway were the dot-like eyes on the other person's face. "Wait… Ditto?!" The other 'Noelle' nodded eagerly… before cupping their breasts in a mocking manner. "Hey! Don't do that!"
"Woah! Don't stop!" Finral called out with a nosebleed, obviously enjoying the show. Out of embarrassment, Noelle aimed her hand at Finral and fired a ball of water… only for it to completely miss and end up hitting a hanging Crobat.
"(OI! I'm trying to sleep)!" Crobat shouted with an irritated tone.
"Man, this place is full of weirdos." Asta commented with a surprised look.
'What am I doing? This is insane. Should I even be in this squad?' Noelle thought to herself, trying to process the bizarre personalities the Black Bulls had to offer.
*SLAM*
The room was brought to silence as the door was kicked off its hinges, courtesy of Yami.
"Magna, we're going." Yami commanded with a serious tone. Magna and his Pokemon all got serious as they started to walk towards the captain.
"What's going on?" Asta questioned in confusion.
"There's a mission." Magna simply told Asta before he and his Pokemon went over to Yami.
"A real mission…" Asta muttered to himself, slightly jealous that Magna would be the only one going with their captain while he was stuck at base. He then stood up and looked at Magna. "Hang on. Me and my Pokemon will go too!"
"No way." Magna immediately shot him down. "Can't bring a couple of kids along."
"(This is a serious mission)." Carkol told Scorbunny and Rookidee with a serious look in his eyes.
"(Only grown ups and experienced Pokemon can go, kiddies)." Timburr bragged while putting his log on his shoulder.
"Kay. We're off." With that, Magna, Yami and the Pokemon left to do their mission, one where only the strong will survive.
"(... Fifty Yul says they lose it all)." Purrloin called out to the Pokemon, much to the newbies' confusion.
'A few hours later'
"Okay… let's do this again." Asta told Scorbunny and Rookidee with a nervous gulp as they stood outside of Hydreigon's room yet again, each carrying his daily meat. However, unlike before, Noelle and Piplup were actually with them, though the former had a bored expression on her face.
"And why are you shaking?" Noelle couldn't help but ask. The way they were acting, it sounded like feeding Hydreigon was a harder chore than anything, which didn't make sense to the noble.
"Trust me… it's hard." Asta admitted to her, making her raise a brow.
"(When we go in, Hydreigon just… charges us. We barely have time to think)." Scorbunny told Piplup with a shudder, the memories of earlier still fresh in his mind.
"But, it's our job. And we can do it!" Asta declared, regaining his confidence as he opened the doors to Hydreigon's room, poking his head through. Much to his relief, it didn't seem like Hydreigon was waiting for them. He gestured to the others to follow as they all entered the dimly-lit room.
"Why is it so dark in here?" Noelle asked, though Asta didn't answer as he stood in front of the broken cage where Hydreigon slept in. Slowly, the group noticed movement within the shadows before Hydreigon's main head popped through, followed by a yawn.
"(Mmmmm, what)?" Hydreigon groggily asked. It was clear from the way he was acting that he was napping.
"Hey there, Hydreigon. Time for lunch." Asta told the Dark/Dragon Pokemon while showing him the meat. "Meat treat?"
"(Don't eat us. Don't eat us. Don't eat us)." Rookidee chanted to himself in fear as Hydreigon sniffed the meat in Asta's hand. Slowly, Yami's Pokemon started to reach out, opening his mouth…
*Chomp*
… Before completely biting both the meat treat and Asta.
"(IT ATE HIM)?!" Piplup shouted in pure horror. He expected a lot of things, but Hydreigon trying to eat Asta was not one of them.
"WWWWWWHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY?!" Asta yelled as he flailed his free arm, trying his best to escape. However, he grabbed Hydreigon's jaw and forced it open, trying his best to escape. "A little help would be nice!"
"Do I look like I feed large Pokemon?" Noelle bluntly asked, not even a hint of concern on her face. "You're lucky I even came down here."
"(Y-Y-Yeah! You look like you g-got this)!" Piplup cheered on for Asta… while hiding behind Noelle out of fear.
"Scorbunny! Rookidee! Do something!" Asta commanded his Pokemon as he felt his arms slowly giving in.
"(Right)!" Scorbunny quickly jumped up to Hydreigon's level and delivered a mighty Double Kick… which literally did NOTHING. However, Hydreigon released Asta and looked to the right, as if something caught his attention.
"Woah… I thought I was a goner." Asta panted in relief before he looked at his partner. "Thanks, pal."
"(I don't think it was me)." Scorbunny countered as the group heard a familiar pair of voices down the hall.
"It's Captain Yami and Magna." Asta realized in surprise. He was shocked to hear them return after leaving just this morning.
"They must have completed the-HUH?!" Noelle was unable to finish her words as she blushed heavily at the attire the senior Black Bulls wore.
Or rather… lack thereof.
Yami and Magna were conversing with themselves while wearing nothing but their squad robes.. JUST their squad robes. Carkol and Timburr were following them, laughing at whatever transpired in the mission.
"That old man actually pulled a Royal Flush on us!" Yami told Magna with a laugh.
"We didn't even stand a chance against old Seihi! Should've known!" Magna added in with a grin.
"(Man, I thought they would've won! Now we owe Purrloin and the others Yul)." Timburr told Carkol while shaking his head.
"(I have a feeling Seihi was just playing around and wasn't serious at all. Just what you'd expect from an old human)." Carkol commented with a chuckle.
"He was motivated to beat us today. That's for damn sure." Yami finished with a big laugh.
"(... Okay, I am officially scarred for life)." Rookidee blunted said before he started to fly away. He was officially done with Magna and Yami's shenanigans. Noelle quickly turned away to avoid seeing their family jewels while Asta and the other Pokemon looked in bewilderment.
"(YAMMMMMIIIIIIIIIII)!" And to add on the bizarre situation, Hydreigon suddenly flew out of his cage and towards Yami at high speed, actually catching Rookidee in the backdraft as he flew into the back of Asta's hard head.
"WOAH!" Seeing this, Yami opened his arms and actually caught Hydreigon, though the force still caused him to be pushed back a few feet. Clenching his muscles, Yami slammed Hydreigon on the ground, causing it to shake. Asta, Noelle and their Pokemon all watched in shock as Yami…
… Began to scratch Hydreigon's stomach while pinning him down.
"Missed me, didn't ya? Big jackass, you." Yami told his Pokemon with a grin as he continued to scratch him, making the large dragon-like Pokemon laugh at the attention. "You're never gonna catch me off guard, hear me? Never!"
"(HAHAHAHAHA! I won't… SUBMIT)!" But no matter how loudly he roared, Hydreigon couldn't help but laugh as Yami scratched over a certain tickle spot.
"... Okay, what?" Asta asked Magna, bewildered by the Pokemon who tried to eat him now laughing on the ground like a child.
"(I… don't know anymore)." Scorbunny commented, utterly lost by everything that was going on.
"Oh. That's just how Yami and Hydreigon are. Whenever Yami comes by, Hydreigon tries to tackle him and prove how superior he is. But Yami ALWAYS knows when he's gonna attack, so they end up wrestling." Magna explained like it was no big deal before he smirked at the rookies. "But you two better get ready, Rasta and No-No. Cause it's time for your first mission."
This certainly caught their attention now.
'A few minutes later'
After changing into their usual attire, Yami and Magna brought Asta, Noelle and their Pokemon back to the main room.
"Like we said before, we're gonna put all of you on the field." Magna reminded them with a smirk.
"Our first mission…" Asta muttered to himself in excitement. He was ready to go out there and kick some ass. "So, what are we doing?"
"I assume it's something befitting royalty?" Noelle questioned in her usual stuck up tone.
"(I hope it's in water. I could use a swim)." Piplup thought out loud, imagining a massive pond just for him and Noelle.
"(Not exactly, junior)." Timburr immediately said to ruin his dream.
"Oh, it's a real honor, all right." Magna told them as he leaned in. "Go to Saussy Village… for some boar hunting and Bouffalant wrangling."
"(... that was not what I expected)." Scorbunny confessed in surprise. Of all things, he didn't think they would be fighting Pokemon or hunting animals. Not that he minded, of course.
"Bouffalant wrangling? Boar hunting?" Noelle repeated, trying to understand what Magna said. "That sounds like a terrible mission."
"No it's not! You take it back!" Magna shouted at her in anger.
"Easy! I can bring down a boar with my bare hands! Plus, Scorbunny can knock them down with a kick to the head!" Asta declared with a confident tone.
"No, you can't!" Magna shouted at Asta this time. "Boars are pure evil! Not to mention how tough and fast Bouffalants are!"
"(Think of a Bouffalant like Yami's Tauros, only bigger and having poofy hair)." Carkol told the Pokemon to give them a better description.
"We lost to the chief of Saussy Village." Yami explained while blowing some smoke. "Now we gotta pay the price."
"You two lost a fight? There's no way!" Asta told them, not believing that tough guys like Yami and Magna could ever lose in a fight.
"How powerful was this man?" Noelle added on.
"We didn't fight him. We lost to him at Poker." Yami simply told them, much to their confusion. "He literally stripped us of everything we had."
"Including half a year's wages." Magna chimed in with a laugh as if it was nothing.
"(And they're bragging about it)?" Rookidee asked with a sweatdrop, along with Scorbunny and Piplup.
"We also promised to do any one thing he wanted, and he wants us to do this job." Yami told them with a shrug.
"Apparently, the boars and Bouffalant are causing a lot of trouble: destroying fields, attacking people. So they want us to get rid of them." Magna added.
"But what does it have to do with us?" Asta asked while raising his hand.
"You were the ones who lost! Not us! If anything, you sho-" Noelle was about to finish, only for Magna to cut her off.
"You expect YAMI to clean up after himself?!" Magna called out while gesturing towards Yami, causing the rookies to stop arguing since… It sadly made sense. "Yami doesn't deal with this shit, so that's why he has us!" Yami stood up and gave his rookies a look of killer intent.
"Either go or die. Your choice." Yami told them in a coldly serious tone that sent shivers down their spines.
"WE'LL GO/(WE'LL GO)!" Both humans and Pokemon shouted in unison. Yami seemed satisfied by this and left the base without saying another word.
"I can't believe it! Our first mission!" Asta cheered in excitement before he crouched down to his Pokemon. "Are you guys excited too?"
"(Heck yeah! Now we can explore more)!" Scorbunny cheered as well, happy to get out of the base for a while.
"(I could always stretch my wings. And hopefully, I will find my darling out there)~" Rookidee sighed at the thought of that beautiful anti-magic bird from the Entrance Exam.
"I still don't understand why he'd be sending me." Noelle thought out loud, something that didn't sit well with Magna.
"Come on! Do you do anything but complain?!" Magna yelled at her in annoyance.
"Actually, that wasn't a complaint." Noelle explained, surprising Magna and Asta as she looked down. "Given that I can't control my magic power, should I really be going out on a mission?" The others realized what her intent was and they couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for her. It wasn't a secret that she had a hard time use even a bit of her magic, but it didn't mean they weren't going to trust her.
"(Oh Noelle)..." Piplup frowned, hating how hard Noelle was being on herself. If anything, Asta could simply cancel out her magic if it went crazy.
"You dummy!" Magna suddenly yelled out again, catching Noelle off guard. "That's the whole point of sending you out in the first place! How do you expect to get any better if you're stuck in here all day?!"
"(Same goes for you, kid. Staying in the base all day won't make you any stronger)." Carkol told Piplup in a serious tone.
"(Exactly. You need to fight real bad guys and wild Pokemon if you wanna protect her)." Timburr added with a smirk, making Piplup blink at the surprisingly good advice.
"Besides, we aren't just sending two rookies with no experience and their baby fresh Pokemon out there." Magna told them.
"(Baby what)?" Scorbunny questioned, feeling slightly offended by the comment.
"Me, Timburr and Carkol will be going to make sure everything goes fine." Magna finished before giving them a grin. "So don't worry about it."
"You're such a manly man, Magna!" Asta complemented his senior with a big smile, happy to have a Magic Knight come with him and Noelle.
"Well… if you insist, I would be willing to accompany you." Noelle finally relented with her arms crossed, though inwardly, she was happy.
"Really? Well thanks." Magna gave Noelle a bow before realizing what the tone of her voice suggested. "Wait a minute, are you looking down on us again?!" This caused Asta and their Pokemon to simply laugh in amusement.
'Several minutes later'
The trio of Magic Knights, as well as their Pokemon now stood outside of the hideout, ready to go on their mission.
"Man, it's too bad Finral couldn't use his magic to take us there." Asta spoke up with a sigh. It turns out that Finral can only open portals to places he had already been to, which was a very big inconvenience.
"Now we have to fly on the same broom. How annoying." Noelle commented with her own sigh. Given that she and Asta couldn't use a broom, they had to resort to sharing one with Magna.
"(Is this your first time using a broom)?" Piplup asked Scorbunny out of curiosity since Rookidee can simply fly with them.
"(Kind of. Father Orsi used to take me, Asta and Yuno on his broom whenever we went shopping. Asta almost fell off every time)." Scorbunny told him with a laugh at the memory.
"(Trust me. You haven't seen anything like this broom. It's one of a kind)." Timburr told his Pokemon with an arrogant tone.
"Sorry to keep ya waiting!" Magna called out from above, prompting everyone to look up as he began to land his broom. "Say hello to my baby: the CRAZY CYCLONE!" Once Magna landed his broom, Asta and Noelle were able to fully see what it was and needless to say, it was… unique.
Unlike normal brooms, this was tricked out to the point it didn't look like a broom at all. It had a bull skeleton, with a sunglasses-wearing skull as its headpiece. Furthermore, its shaft is shaped like a spine with a semi-circular saddle, which has four pairs of ribs on the sides and a pair of purple fur balls at the base of the saddle. At the end of the broom, Crazy Cyclone has a bundle of bristles as commonly seen on a broomstick. Additionally, it is also installed with a pole from which a flag with the Black Bull insignia flutters.
There were various reactions to Crazy Cyclone's debut.
"WOAH! SO COOL!" Asta yelled with stars in his eyes, amazed to see something so cool in front of him.
"... What?" Was all Noelle said as she stared at the broom with blank eyes.
"(Okay… that's… different)." Scorbunny confessed while trying to take in the broom's appearance.
"(It's ugly)." Rookidee bluntly admitted.
"(Hey, show some respect! The Crazy Cyclone's one of the best brooms in Clover)!" Carkol yelled at him, offended by such a comment.
"(No. it's just… crazy)." Piplup said before he realized how he used the word 'Crazy.'
"Amazing, I know. I thought my broom needed a bit more flare to it. Trust me when I say we'll get to Saussy village in no time with this baby." Magna told them confidently while patting the skull on the front. "Okay, let's put everyone back in their Pokeballs and get going." Taking out two of his Pokeballs, Magna aimed them at his Pokemon before a red beam shot out, hitting them and absorbing them into the magic spheres. Once he put them back in his belt, Magna noticed Asta and Noelle hadn't returned their Pokemon. "Ummm, hello? What are you waiting for?"
"It kinda doesn't feel right to have Scorbunny and Rookidee in their balls while on our first mission." Asta confessed as he smiled at his Pokemon.
"Agreed. Piplup goes with me everywhere." Noelle chimed in with a tone that held no room for arguments.
"Fine. They're small anyways, so they should fit." Magna relented with a shrug.
"Oh yeah, Noelle?" Asta suddenly said to his fellow rookie. "I saw you had two Pokeballs on your belt." He then gestured to the second Pokeball next to what he assumed was Piplup's. "You have another Pokemon?"
"Ummm… well…" Noelle suddenly felt embarrassed by Asta's question, surprising him and the others. However, she felt Piplup rub her knee, giving her a supportive look as she sighed. "Okay… I do. Just… don't laugh, okay?"
"Why would we?" Magna asked with a raised brow. Yeah, he would give them a hard time, but he didn't outright hate Asta and Noelle. So, he had no reason to make fun of them now.
Taking a deep breath, Noelle brought out her second Pokeball as her Grimoire began to float in front of her, allowing her to create a sphere of water. "Come out!" Noelle called out as she threw her Pokeball in the air, allowing it to open as the energy hit the water sphere.
"(WATER)!" Called out the new Pokemon as she swam through the water. Inside the water sphere was a shabby, old-looking, fishlike Pokémon with a light brown body covered in dark, irregular spots. It has large, deep-set eyes and big, pink lips. The tail and pectoral fins are dull blue and tattered in appearance. The dorsal fin is triangular with a hole in the middle.
Asta, Magna, Scorbunny and Rookidee looked at the new Pokemon with surprised eyes.
"Ummmm… you have a Feebas?" Magna questioned with a flat tone. "You, miss royalty… have a Feebas?"
"Y-Yes, I do." Noelle told him with an annoyed tone, though her red cheeks indicated that she was embarrassed. Asta took this chance to take out his magic mirror and point it at Feebas.
"Feebas, the Fish Pokemon. It is a shabby and ugly Pokémon. However, it is very hardy and can survive on little water. I mean seriously, who would want a Pokemon like this?" The magic mirror bluntly said.
"(Ummm, hi)?" Scorbunny greeted the new Pokemon while waving his paw. However, this caused the opposite effect as she yelped and swam in circles.
"(I'm not a fighter! Don't hurt me)!" Feebas shouted in panic as she continued to swim around Noelle's bubble.
"Feebas, stop! You're gonna-!"
*Splash*
Unfortunately, Feebas' frantic movement caused Noelle's bubble to go unstable, causing it to burst and for the fish Pokemon to fall on the ground, gasping for air. "(Water! Need water)!" Feebas cried out while hopping off the ground.
"Feebas, return!" Noelle quickly used her Pokeball to return Feebas before she suffocated. Letting out a relieved sigh, Noelle opened her eyes to see the looks on her squadmates' faces.
"That's a surprise Pokemon for you." Magna admitted with a raised brow.
"Shut up! I didn't ask for Feebas!" Noelle blurted out before she realized what she said, causing her to frown deeply. "No… that's not what I meant…"
"So, how did you catch… her?" Asta couldn't help but ask, curious to hear what the story was with Feebas. Noelle held her right elbow while looking away.
"She was a 'gift' from my brother, Solid." Noelle told them with a bitter tone. It was clear that the way she used 'gift' was meant as an insult.
"Here. You can take this pathetic piece of trash." A taller shadow told Noelle as they threw her a Pokeball. "It reminds me of you: ugly and weak. You two are a match made in heaven!" With that, the large shadow laughed arrogantly while Noelle simply stood in place, staring at the ball with a frown.
"I thought of letting Feebas go, but… I couldn't. It just wouldn't feel right." Noelle continued as she prepared to hear Asta and Magna mock her decision.
"Wow… that's good!" Asta suddenly said, making Noelle look at him in shock. "I mean it's not cool your brother made fun of you, but you're still willing to keep Feebas around." He then gave her a grin and a thumbs up. "I bet one day, you'll help Feebas grow to be a strong Pokemon! Then you can show her to your brother!"
"Rasta's right." Magna commented with a smirk. "Just cause Feebas might be weak now doesn't mean you can't train her. If you want, me and my Pokemon might be willing to help you train."
"(And we can help too)." Scorbunny told Piplup with a smile as Rookidee nodded in agreement. Noelle and Piplup were surprised to see just how supportive their squadmates were actually being. If it was anyone else, they would've laughed at her for having Feebas around. Then again, the Black Bulls weren't normal.
"W-Well… I suppose I'll accept your help. If you can be useful." Noelle, being the tsundere she was, told them while flicking her hair and looking away, though she did have a small smile on her face.
"Okay. Enough touchy crap. Let's get going!" Magna called out before he hopped on the Crazy Cyclone. Piplup sat behind Magna, followed by Noelle, Scorbunny and Asta. Rookidee decided to rest in Asta's head. "Here we go!" Magna then began to infuse the Crazy Cyclone with his magic, causing the back of it to start glowing. Soon, the Crazy Cyclone suddenly began to launch forward at high speed, making Asta cheer in joy.
"(Too fast! Too fast)!" Piplup shouted while holding onto Magna tightly. Noticing they were close to hitting some trees, Magna pulled the handles of the Crazy Cyclone up, allowing it to fly upwards.
"There! How's that for broom flying?" Magna asked his rookies with a grin as they were now flying in the air, passing some small clouds.
"Will you be careful?! We could still fall!" Noelle berated Magna while holding him to prevent herself from falling. Feeling some shaking on her stomach, Noelle looked down and noticed Piplup was hugging her, comedic tears running down his eyes.
"(Are we dead yet)?" Piplup whimpered as he kept his eyes closed, refusing to look down.
"Hey, quit with the shaking!" Magna yelled as the Crazy Cyclone began to sway a bit. It seemed like it wasn't handling the current weight as Magna predicted.
"(Never knew you'd be scared of flying)." Scorbunny confessed, surprised to see Piplup acting the way he was.
"Oh yeah! This is awesome!" Asta cheered, unaffected by the swaying. "Now I know how it feels for Yuno and Rookidee to fly!"
"(Yeah. it's an amazing feeling)." Rookidee commented.
"You trying to die or something?! Stop moving and hold onto something!" Magna once again yelled as he looked back at Asta.
"Oh, right." Asta responded before he grabbed the closest thing he could.
Which turned out to be Noelle's stomach.
"H-Hey! Watch what you're grabbing, idiot!" Noelle shouted before she backhanded Asta, causing him to fall off the Crazy Cyclone.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Magna called out, having witnessed Noelle smack Asta.
"(ASTA)!" Scorbunny cried out, having witnessed what happened.
"(What happened?! I can't see)!" Piplup shouted as he kept his eyes closed.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Asta screamed as he fell towards a lake below. Fortunately, the Crazy Cyclone flew down and caught him before he could crash. "I… I… thought… I was… gonna… die…" Asta admitted, his eyes white as snow. Rookidee flew out of Asta's hood and into Magna's.
"(Yeah, I'm gonna stay in here if this is gonna keep happening)." Rookidee told them bluntly before glancing at Noelle.
This was gonna be a LONG trip for the group.
'Saussy Village'
Saussy Village wasn't anything special to anyone. It was just a simple village that existed in the Clover kingdom, though their citizens were just as important as everyone else.
However, it would also become the battlegrounds for a serious battle. A single magic portal opened in the middle of the woods, with four people walking out of it. They all wore light blue cloaks, white pants and black boots. Three of them had hoods over their heads, but the fourth was different. They were an adult male with short gray hair, matching colored eyes and a scar on the top right corner of his face. Taking out a pocket watch, the fourth man looked at the time.
"Right on time." The man said out loud before he looked up. In front of him and his allies were several large boars, as well as a Bouffulant, all of which were glaring at him angrily. Without saying a word, the man took out his Grimoire, allowing it to open and flip through some pages. The boars noticed this and charged towards him in rage.
However… before they could reach him… they were frozen solid.
The Bouffalant noticed this and began to drag their hooves through the ground, with their heads glowing a bit.
"... Brick Break." The man casually took out a Pokeball before throwing it in the air. The Boufallant all roared as they began to charge in via Head Charge.
*BOOM*
However, before the leading Boufallant could even have a chance to strike, a large being came down and slammed their arm onto the Pokemon's head, causing it to crash on the ground with enough force to leave spider web cracks. The attacker was an ursine, quadrupedal Pokémon capable of standing on its hind legs. It has bluish-white fur with a shaggy tuft at its rear. Three spikes of ice hang from its lower jaw, forming a beard. Its face consists of a long snout, beady black eyes, and rounded ears. Its large forepaws have black claws and paw pads.
Frightened by the new Pokemon's appearance, the remaining Bouffalant all began to scatter, leaving the group alone.
"Good, Beartic. Come." The man told his Pokemon as he and his men all moved towards the edge of the cliff, with Beartic scoffing while looking at the now defeated Bouffalant. Soon, their eyes all laid on Saussy Village. "So, it's here. The Magic Stone." The lead man then looked at his hooded allies. "Find it."
"Yes." The trio of hooded men said in unison before they turned into water, disappearing. Taking a deep breath, the lead man blew icy wind, slowly causing a mist to form. "In the mist, be lost."
Little did the man know, he was also being watched from the trees.
'With the Black Bulls trio, sometime later'
After some time flying(and the occasional stop to grab Asta when he was knocked off), the trio and their Pokemon were finally able to reach the forest where the boars and Bouffalant were located.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
However, the job was not as easy as one might think, especially for a rookie like Asta.
Currently, the loud mouth rookie of the Black Bulls was running through the forest as fast as he could, running away from a wild Bouffalant.
"These things are way bigger than I thought they'd be!" Asta shouted as he looked back, only to see that Bouffalant was getting closer to him.
"Carkol, Body Slam!" Magna's voice was heard in the distance. A lone figure could be seen from above before it crashed on top of Bouffalant, causing it to fall on the ground. The force sent Asta flying away, with him rolling like a barrel before he eventually stopped in front of Noelle.
"Are you just going to lay there all day?" Noelle asked with a blunt tone before Asta raised his head, his nose red from the fall.
"Oh… hey Noelle." Asta greeted her before standing up, dusting himself off before turning towards the Bouffalant.
"(How'd you like that)?!" Carkol gloated as he jumped off the unconscious Bouffalant.
"You see that, No-No? That's the result of manly training!" Magna told Noelle with a grin as he walked over to Carkol, patting his head. "Nice one, pal."
"(You too)." Carkol added with his own smile. Rustling could be heard from behind, causing the group to tense up.
"(YEEE-HAWWWW)!" Emerging from the bushes was a large boar, with Timburr riding it like it was a horse. "(That's it! Giddy up, you stupid boar)!"
"Is that even safe?" Noelle asked Magna, who just laughed in amusement.
"For sure. Timburr's got this." Magna informed her before he cupped his hands around his mouth. "Show them who's boss, Timburr!"
"(Right)!" Timburr called out before he leaped off the boar, clenching his left hand into a fist as it began to glow. "(Rock Smash)!" With that, Timburr punched the boar with as much strength as he could muster. The force actually caused the boar to stagger as it stopped, launching Timburr forward. Unlike with Asta, Timburr used his log to slow down his descent before he landed on his feet. "(Now rookies)!"
"(Ember/Bubblebeam)!" Jumping out from the branches was none other than Scorbunny and Piplup, who unleashed a barrage of embers and bubbles down onto the boar. The barrage of attacks weakened the boar enough for Asta to attack. With a battle cry, Asta summoned his Anti Magic sword and slammed it onto the boar's head, knocking it out.
"Alright! Nice work, everyone!" Asta complemented the Pokemon with a smile.
"(I didn't think that would actually work)." Piplup confessed as he let out a tired sigh.
"(True. But we still got him. Nice work on that Bubblebeam, Piplup)." Scorbunny complimented his fellow Pokemon while patting his back. This seemed to boost Piplup's ego as he puffed his chest while lifting his head.
"(I WAS pretty strong, wasn't I)?" Piplup cockily said, making Scorbunny sweatdrop at the attitude change.
"(Say that when you fight a boar on your own, rookie)." Timburr told them while putting his log on his shoulder.
"Okay, that should be about all of them." Magna informed everyone with his arms crossed as he looked at the unconscious boars and Bouffalant they had encountered. "I think we can head back to Saussy Village. Pretty sure they'd like the meat."
"Do they… eat Pokemon?" Noelle couldn't help but ask.
"Well, some Pokemon can be eaten. But don't worry. Bouffalant are actually good at guarding crops." Magna reassured her as he prepared to pick up a boar. However, he spotted something nearby, causing him to walk away.
"(Magna)?" Carkol called out in confusion. Curious, Carkol and Timburr followed their partner.
"What's wrong with them?" Noelle asked with a raised brow before she, Asta and their Pokemon followed. They soon found what Magna was looking at in the distance.
Standing on a rock while pecking at some berries was a small, avian Pokémon similar in appearance to a robin. It has a reddish-orange head with a triangular yellow mark on the back of each eye. Its body and wings are gray, and there are white tips on the wings. It has a long, black tail with a white V-shaped marking near the tip. The tail ends in two points and has two feathers sticking out at the base, resembling the fletching on the end of an arrow. Its legs, small beak, and eyes are black. The legs are thin and spindly, with two toes facing forward and one facing backward on each foot.
"A Pokemon?" Asta said out loud, only for Magna to shush him.
"It isn't just any Pokemon. That's a Fletchling." Magna whispered with a grin. Curious, Noelle reached into her pocket and pulled out her own Magic Mirror, though this one seemed a bit more fancy compared to Asta's.
"Fletchling, When this Pokémon gets excited, its body temperature increases sharply. If you touch a Fletchling with bare hands, you might get burned. I do recommend wearing mittens to prevent any burns." The Magic Mirror said in a rather sophisticated, yet oddly bored tone.
"Okay, so why are we looking at it?" Noelle asked, though internally, she was awwing at how cute Fletchling was.
"Simple." Magna took out a spare Pokeball. "I'm gonna catch it."
"Woah, really?" Asta asked with a surprised tone. He never expected to see a Magic Knight catch a wild Pokemon so soon.
"(But why a Fletchling)?" Scorbunny questioned.
"Why catch one now?" Noelle repeated Scorbunny's question, though only the humans understood.
"Cause of what it becomes." Magna started as he raised a finger. "Fletchling isn't a strong Pokemon now. But when it evolves, it gets even stronger." He then raised a finger. "Fletchling evolves into a strong Fletchinder." He then raised one more finger. "And when Fletchinder evolves, it becomes a badass Talonflame. Have you ever seen a Talonflame fight? They're freakin' manly. And I want one."
"(Oh. I guess that makes sense)." Piplup realized with a nod.
"I think it's time I showed you newbies a cool little trick only Magic Knights can use." Magna told them, catching their attention. Taking a deep breath, Magna tightened his grip on the Pokeball as it began to glow the same aura as his Grimoire.
'What is he doing?' Noelle mentally questioned as she saw Magna infusing his Pokeball with his magic.
"Alright." Magna opened his eyes as he got into his pitcher stance, pulling his arm back. "Here's my special Magna Pokeball Slammer!" Slamming his foot on the ground, Magna threw the Pokeball as hard as he could, sending it towards Fletchling at high speed.
"(Wait, what)?" Fletchling turned his head…
*Smack*
"(OWWW)!" Only to get hit by the magic infused Pokeball. It soon opened up, absorbing the small Pokemon in an orange energy. The Pokeball landed on the ground before letting out a 'click.'
"Woah! You caught it without a fight?!" Asta asked loudly with wide eyes. He was always told that a Pokemon needed to be weakened before a fight. Then again, Yuno apparently caught Cutiefly without a struggle.
"Like that? That's called a Critical Magic Throw, or C.M.T for short." Magna explained with a hand on his hip. "See, Pokeballs are magic tools, but there's a small little detail they don't tell you. If a Magic Knight or anyone with strong magic control puts their mana into their Pokeball, like you would with a broom, you can make it stronger. It basically makes it easy to catch Pokemon when you don't think you or your team can soften them up."
"I see. So if you transfer mana into the Pokeball, you're guaranteed to catch the Pokemon it absorbs." Noelle repeated in surprise.
"Well, not exactly." Magna cut in. "Even if you use the Critical Magic Throw, it still won't catch a Pokemon when they're at 100%. Fletchling was easy cause it's not exactly a strong Pokemon. But if you tried what I did on something like Bouffalant, who are crazy strong, then they can still get out." Magna then grinned while raising a finger. "So keep that in mind, newbies. This might make catching Pokemon a bit easier, but don't get lazy. That's not manly at all."
"That's so cool! Magic Knights are the best!" Asta cheered, excited to learn how to use the C.M.T.
"You do realize you have no magic to actually USE that technique, right?" Noelle shattered Asta's reality with her logic, making him freeze.
"Oh… that's right… Well, who cares?!" Asta shouted with a determined tone. "I'll just find my own way of catching!"
"That's the spirit, Rasta!" Magna wrapped an arm around Asta's neck and ruffled his hair, making him laugh.
"(You know, for a wild guy, Magna's pretty smart. In a way)." Scorbunny admitted with a smile.
"(He's always been a crazy guy)." Carkol fondly said. "(But… he's still a good human)."
"Let's get going. I'm sure the old man's looking forward to the boar meat." Magna told the group as he walked over to get Fletchling's Pokeball.
However… he failed to see the attack that was coming.
*Splash*
"AHHHHHH!" Magna suddenly let out a yelp as he covered his face. Something that caught everyone off guard.
"(Magna)!" Both Carkol and Timburr shouted in unison as they rushed over to him.
"Are you okay?!" Asta asked Magna with heavy concern as he and the others joined Magna's Pokemon.
"GET IT OFF!" Magna turned towards the group… and revealed what looked like white bubbles on his eyes. The flame user grabbed at the bubbles and started to rip them off his eyes, though it seemed to be difficult.
"What are those?" Noelle questioned as she grabbed one of the bubbles off of Magna's face, examining it.
"(They look like… bubbles)." Piplup said as he noticed the familiar orbs.
"(Look out)!" Scorbunny called out as he leaped up and launched an Ember attack on a nearby branch, causing the attacker to leap out and land on a nearby rock.
The attacker turned out to be a quadrupedal, frog-like Pokémon. It has light-blue skin, white hands, and a dark blue stripe from the center of its oval head to its nose. It has three fingers and two toes on its hands and feet. Its eyes, which have yellow sclera, black irises, and white pupils, protrude vertically from its head due to their size. It seemed to produce a large mane of bubbles from its chest and back and had two small bubbles on its nose.
"(Get out of this forest. Now)." The frog-like Pokemon warned the group with a serious tone.
"That's what attacked you?" Asta questioned before he took out his Magic Mirror.
"Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokemon. It protects its skin by covering its body in delicate bubbles. Beneath its happy-go-lucky air, it keeps a watchful eye on its surroundings. Never EVER let your guard down around these guys." The Magic Mirror informed the group.
"I-It's… cute…" Noelle muttered with a slight blush, in complete awe by the cute little Pokemon in front of her.
"(He's not that cute)..." Piplup said with a pout. Noelle always told him how cute he was, so seeing her star struck by a wild Pokemon.
"(Hey, what's the big idea)?!" Carkol shouted in anger.
"(You're all trespassing in Saussy Forest. Only those who live in Saussy Village can be here)." Froakie told them with narrowed eyes. "(I won't ask again)."
"That little…" Magna finally freed himself of the bubbles and glared at Froakie. "You wanna fight, little toad? I'll give you a fight! Timburr, Rock Throw!"
"(Got it)!" Timburr slammed his log on the ground, causing a sizable rock to fly up. Gripping the log with both hands, Timburr smacked the rock towards Froakie.
"(Fine then)." Froakie said before he leaped in the air, dodging the Rock Throw.
"Carkol, Incinerate!" Magna ordered as Carkol unleashed a stream of flames towards Froakie. However, in response, Froakie opened his hands as two spheres of water formed. Slamming them together, Froakie launched the large water sphere towards Carkol's attack, causing a large amount of steam to emerge. "Damn. It knows Water Pulse."
"Man, that Froakie's pretty tough." Asta admitted out loud before a smile grew on his face. "I want it!"
"(Really? Well, I guess it wouldn't be bad to have a Pokemon like him with us)." Scorbunny admitted with a nod before he got into a fighting stance. "(Let's do it, Asta)!"
"Flame Charge!" Asta ordered as Scorbunny was engulfed in flames before he hopped towards Froakie.
"(Don't get in the way)!" Froakie pulled his right hand back as it began to glow. Soon, he and Scorbunny collided, neither giving an inch. As they fell, both Pokemon realized the other was just as strong as they were and quickly jumped away from each other, landing on the ground.
"Double Kick/Body Slam!" Asta and Magna shouted in unison as their Pokemon rushed towards Froakie.
"(Not this time)!" Much to their surprise, Froakie grabbed the bubbles from his neck and began to throw them at the Pokemon.
"(What the)?!" Carkol called out as he was hit in the stomach by the bubbles while Scorbunny got some in his legs. Once both Pokemon landed on the ground, they suddenly found that they were stuck.
"(What kind of bubbles are these)?!" Scorbunny questioned as he attempted to free himself, to no avail.
"(Now you're done)!" Froakie called out as he prepared another Water Pulse, throwing it towards Scorbunny.
"HAAA!" However, Asta ran in front of his Pokemon, summoning his sword before using the blunt end to block the Water Pulse. With a simple push, Asta threw the Water Pulse away, allowing it to hit a nearby tree. "You okay, buddy?"
"(I'm fine. Just a little stuck)." Scorbunny told Asta, happy to see that he helped out. Froakie noticed this and frowned a bit.
'(The human jumped in to help his Pokemon. Just like that old human)...' Froakie thought as he lowered his guard a bit. There was just something about seeing a human protecting a Pokemon that made him feel somewhat conflicted.
"Smack Down!" However, the moment was ruined when Magna ordered Carkoal to attack, to which the Rock/Fire Pokemon launched a glowing rock from his mouth. Froakie was quickly to dodge. However, he failed to notice Timburr jumping from behind.
"(Rock Smash)!" Timburr called out before he struck Froakie from behind, causing the frog-like Pokemon to crash on the ground.
"Hey! Be careful!" Noelle spoke up, not wanting to see such a cute Pokemon get hurt.
"Okay, little punk. Give it up!" Magna told Froakie, who began to push himself up while holding his arm.
"Hang on, Magna sir! I still wanna catch Froakie!" Asta quickly told his superior as Scorbunny finally freed himself.
"(Damn. I'm surrounded)." Froakie said to himself in frustration. He was willing to fight them all, but even he had a limit to how much damage he could take. Still, he wasn't gonna let anymore of those humans-
*BOOM*
Everyone suddenly tensed up when they all heard an explosion in the distance, a small amount of smoke going up in the air.
"(Woah! What was that)?" Piplup questioned while looking at the smoke.
"Was that a Pokemon attack or something?" Asta asked out loud before he looked over at Magna, noticing his widened eyes. "Magna?"
"That explosion… it came from Saussy Village!" Magna yelled in realization, much to everyone's shock.
"(Old man Seihi)!" Carkol shouted in shock.
"Come on! We gotta go!" Magna told the others with urgency.
"Hang on! What about Fro-?" Before Asta could finish, he turned back and noticed Froakie was gone, using the explosion as a distraction to escape.
"Who cares?! Seihi needs us!" Magna yelled before he and his Pokemon began to run towards the village. Asta, Noelle and their Pokemon looked at each other before they quickly ran to follow Magna
However, what the group didn't know was that Froakie was also making his way towards Saussy Village.
"(Seihi, hang on)!" Froakie said with a determined tone as he continued to hop from branch to branch.
The simple mission just got complicated.
PHEW! Finally finished the chapter in just four days! Good thing too since my current work schedule keeps me working for five days every week. Still, returning to fanfiction is fun and I hope I didn't disappoint.
So this chapter pretty much went the same way it did in the anime, just with a few new scenes, which isn't bad. Still, this arc will have a major change I think you guys will like and it will involve Magna. I also have a little more for Froakie since he is one of my favorite Starters(next to Charmander, Treecko, Cyndaquil, Chimchar, Rowlet and Sobble). You guys will like how he grows. As for Noelle with Feebas instead of Magikarp: I just feel like Feebas fit more with Noelle since Nebra always called her ugly and her having an ugly Pokemon would fit. But Feebas will get some good development.
I can't wait to show off the other Pokemon for the characters and I will take suggestions.
