Something that both Izuchi Kayama and Mina Ashido knew was going to happen sooner or later, was their return to school. Which was also something that made the two girls nervous, mainly because they weren't particularly fond of the possibility of the two ending up in different classes, having grown quite attached to each other, but thankfully not in a way that was unhealthy. Thankfully for the two girls though, they wound up being in the same class, which was quite the relief. It didn't stop them from fidgeting with both childish and animalistic impatience. Something that was put on display in the form of Mina repeatedly tapping her foot, occasionally switching which foot, and Izuchi's tail twitching in a rather cat-like manner.
After what felt like an eternity, the two girls were finally called into the classroom, earning the attention of the entire class. Not only because they were new, but also because of the obvious signs of their Quirks, namely their abnormal anatomy and animalistic features. While most of their new classmates seemed rather indifferent about their Quirks, one particular exception was a fellow holder of an Animal-subclassed Mutant-Quirk. The student in question was male and sporting features that reminded the two girls of the Bird Wyvern nicknamed the Poison Bewitching Bird, Pukei-Pukei. The holder of the Pukei-Pukei-Quirk wasn't the only holder of a Quirk under the same classifications as Mina and Izuchi, but he was the only one besides the newcomers that had Quirks giving them traits of creatures from Monster Hunter, the others had Quirks giving them the traits of more normal animals, like a brown haired guy with mouse-like features who was rather quietly bickering with another grey haired guy who had cat-like features. After some prompting from the teacher, the two newcomers proceeded to introduce themselves.
"Hi everyone. Mina Ashido is the name, my Quirk is called Acidic Mizutsune and my favorite food is fish." Stated Mina with a grin on her face, showing off her fangs.
"And I'm Izuchi Kayama. I like pork. Hope we'll get along." Greeted Izuchi in a tone that sounded confident, but the way her tail was twitching gave away that she was feeling nervous, not that anyone but Mina could tell. "Oh, and the name of my Quirk is Rathian."
"Thank you. The two of you can take the seats behind Yūdokuna-kun." Replied the teacher before gesturing towards the two empty seats behind the holder of the Pukei-Pukei-Quirk, Yūdokuna apparently, who didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about his fellow Mutants' presence. If anything, he seemed downright upset about it, if the frown on his face was anything to go on.
While the majority of the class seemed intrigued by the newcomers, the cat- and mouse guys on the other hand seemed somewhere in between relieved and nervous in regards to the newcomers. Most likely because they were in the presence of a pair of Animal-classed Mutants near the top of the food chain. A pair with the potential to surpass their limits and achieve the state of Apex, a state only a few Animal-classed Mutants could accomplish. Needless to say, things were definitely going to change.
