The Book of Sam
I
I, your friend, and teacher Sam, known as the Wielder of Earth and a disciple of Samson of Fire, present to you a complete and factual account of all events that took place after June 15th. I assure you that this record is truthful, impartial, and contains only the dire facts.
As a result of the decision made by the disciples' gathering, Gareth the Fire master, who was once the greatest servant of Light, left the followers of Seamus due to his enormous ego. He and his followers, starting from Boston, travelled north and reached the region of Maine, where Sylvia of Wood and her followers, including the powerful Zeke, had also gathered.
At the border of Maine, the two groups encountered each other, but due to Gareth's fear of attacking his former friends, who outnumbered his forces, he stood off. Sylvia spoke to Gareth, offering him peaceful passage in exchange for a vow never to return, as his presence caused division and inequality amongst them.
Sylvia said: "Gareth, though I shall allow you to pass peacefully, you must vow to never return. For your presence, it would seem, causes division and inequality amongst us."
However, Gareth became angry and with a burst of flame, he attacked Sylvia and her followers, killing Connor of Earth and injuring Sylvia.
Gareth said: "You fools! Do you think you can stop me? I am the greatest Fire-Master! I will not be stopped by the likes of you!"
Gareth and his minions then passed, leaving their former allies to die, but they failed to realize that Sylvia and Zeke were Earth-Masters and healers. Soon, Sylvia and Thomas of Water, her other follower, were healed, and they mourned the loss of Connor.
Sylvia said: "We must mourn our fallen comrade, but we cannot let this defeat us. We will find a way to stop Gareth and his minions, for the sake of all that is good and just."
Meanwhile, Gareth and his followers had already fled to Nova Scotia, where they established their new base named Gehenna.
II
Sylvia, the Master of Wood, stood before her followers, her eyes filled with determination and her voice ringing with authority.
Sylvia said: "My friends, we have been through much, and we have lost much. But we must not give up hope. We must not let the evil actions of Gareth and his minions define us. We are the servants of Light, and we have a duty to protect the world from the forces of darkness."
She paused, letting her words sink in, before continuing.
Sylvia said: "We must not let our powers be used for selfish gain, as Gareth has done. We must use them for the greater good, to heal and protect those in need. And we must work together, as a team, to defeat the evil that threatens us. For it is only through unity and cooperation that we will overcome the obstacles in our path."
Her followers listened intently, inspired by her words. They knew that Sylvia was a wise and just leader, and they trusted her completely.
Sylvia said: "So let us make a vow, right here and now. Let us vow to use our powers for good, to work together, and never give up in the face of adversity. For as long as we stand united, there is nothing that can stop us."
With these words, Sylvia lifted her staff into the air, and her followers followed suit, creating a circle of light and power. They had made their vow, and they were determined to see it through, no matter what obstacles lay ahead.
III
It was a warm summer evening in Boston, and the followers of Seamus had gathered in the city square to hear what news Rebecca of Ice had to share with them. Harold of Lightning had arrived from the West, Samson of Metal from the South, and Sylvia of Wood from the North. The followers of Seamus were all masters of the elements, and their powers were greatly respected throughout the land. They had all been summoned by Rebecca, who had remained in the city, to hear the news that she had to share with them.
Rebecca stood in front of the group and addressed them. "Masters of Metal, Wood, Lightning, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, I have gathered you here today to address the growing threat that is Gareth. His minions are numerous, and he has converted many more in Canada, and now he intends to use them to destroy us."
The followers of Seamus were taken aback by Rebecca's words. They knew of Gareth and his power, but they had never thought that he would turn against them. Rebecca continued, "The only solution to this problem is to unify. Sylvia here has already tasted his fearsome glory and knows just how destructive he can be. Only my powers can defeat him, for I am the greatest Water Master. I need your help to defeat him."
Rebecca's words were persuasive, and the followers of Seamus were willing to lend her their powers. They agreed to lend her a bit more of their strength to fight Gareth's evil. However, they were all soon to be deceived, for Rebecca's sweet words would ultimately lead to their downfall.
As Rebecca was taking the powers from Samson and Harold, a shout came from John of Water, one of Rebecca's followers. "Stop! You are deceived!" he yelled. "Rebecca wants only the power to rule alongside Gareth. She desires him more than she desires our safety!"
Rebecca's rage was palpable, and she struck out with all her might, destroying everything in her path. John's words had incensed her, and she struck him down on the spot. With her powers now greatly increased, Rebecca fled the city, followed by Milo of Water and Frederick of Air, who remained loyal to her, perhaps out of fear or perhaps out of love. Rebecca's beauty and power were unmatched, and many of their followers of Seamus were drawn to her.
But the others who had stayed behind mourned the loss of John, who had given his life to warn them of the danger that Rebecca posed. They knew that they must band together to stop her and Gareth, but they were now weakened, and they did not know where to turn.
As time passed, the followers of Seamus continued to gather, and they began to see a glimmer of hope. They had heard rumours that there was a Water Master who was greater than Rebecca, and who had the power to stop her. They began to search for this Water Master, and after many months, they finally found him. His name was Thomas, and he was a follower of Sylvia of Wood. Thomas had the power to heal, and he used it to revive those who had been weakened by Rebecca. He then joined forces with Sylvia and the others.
IV
Sylvia stood before her followers, tears streaming down her face as she thought of the loss of John and the betrayal of Rebecca. She raised her arms and began to speak, her voice ringing out across the room.
"My friends, my disciples, today we gather to mourn the loss of John, one of our own who was taken from us by the hand of Rebecca. Her actions were not those of a true disciple of Seamus, but rather of a power-hungry individual who sought to rule over us all.
"Rebecca's actions are a reminder that the thirst for power can cloud our judgment and lead us astray from the path set forth by Seamus. It is a warning to us all to be vigilant in our pursuits and to never let our love for power outweigh our love for our fellow disciples and the teachings of Seamus.
"Rebecca has shown us the dangers of unchecked ambition, and it is our duty to make sure that such a tragedy never happens again. We must stand united and strive to live our lives in accordance with the teachings of Seamus, for only then can we truly call ourselves his disciples.
"We must also remember that even in the face of evil, there is always hope. John, a true follower of Seamus, was brave enough to stand up against Rebecca and her actions, even at the cost of his own life. It is through acts of bravery and selflessness like his that we can combat the darkness that threatens to consume us.
"So let us not falter in our resolve, but instead let us redouble our efforts to follow the path set forth by Seamus. Let us remember the lessons of today and always strive to be the kind of disciples that he would be proud of. Let us honour John's memory by continuing his legacy of bravery and selflessness."
As Sylvia finished her sermon, her followers stood in silence, each lost in thought about the events that had transpired. The room was filled with a sense of determination and resolve, as the disciples pledged to never let another tragedy like this occur again. They would work together, stand together, and fight against the darkness that threatened to consume them. And with Sylvia as their leader, they would emerge from the shadows stronger and more united than ever before.
V
Following the shocking revelation of Rebecca's true intentions, the followers of the Light were left grappling with the aftermath. Harold had lost his Firepower and was back to being just Harold of Air. Samson had lost his mastery over Earth and was once again only Samson of Fire. Sylvia, the only one of the group who remained unscathed, now found herself leading the small group of true followers.
The remaining followers consisted of ten individuals - Harold, Trevor, and Katherine of Air, Zeke, Prudence, Sam of Earth, Thomas of Water, Leah, Samson of Fire, and Sylvia of Wood. They held a meeting and decided to wait, with Harold and his followers travelling back to the West, Samson heading South and Sylvia remaining in the North, closest to Gareth and Rebecca.
Sylvia continued to convert more followers in her area, while Samson did the same in his. Meanwhile, Harold was secretly plotting with Rebecca. She had stolen much of his power and weakened him so much, that her dark spells had easily taken control of his mind, turning him into her willing slave.
Harold abandoned his followers, Trevor and Katherine, and fled to Nova Scotia in the East where he joined forces with Rebecca and became her vassal.
The followers of Seamus were small compared to those of Gareth and Rebecca, but they continued to grow, converting those who were willing to fight against the corrupt and evil ways of the latter. The ways of Seamus were on the verge of dying, and the servants of Gareth and Rebecca lived in fear of their masters.
With a heavy heart, Sylvia bid farewell to her students, her brothers, and sisters and warned them of the dangers that lay ahead. "Beware of those who follow the twisted path," she said. "Be cautious of those who claim to follow Seamus, but in reality, only serve their own dark desires."
Sylvia's words were a warning, but also a call to action for her followers. They needed to stay strong and united in their beliefs, to continue to spread the teachings of Seamus and to bring light to a world shrouded in darkness.
So, my friends, this is where our story ends. Of the journey of Harold and his descent into darkness. Of the bravery of Sylvia and Samson as they continued to spread the teachings of Seamus. And of the rise of Gareth and Rebecca and their reign of terror. But this is not where our journey as followers of the Light ends. For as long as there are those of us who believe in the true way of Seamus, we will continue to spread the teachings and fight against corruption. So let us carry on the legacy of Sylvia, Samson, and those before us, and may we never forget the lessons learned from the story of Harold and the others. May the Light guide us always.
