The Book of Thomas

I

As Thomas of Water, I recall the preparations we made to fight against Rebecca's army. Sylvia called for a meeting, which was held in the secure environment of a subway station. Those who attended included Sylvia of Wood, Samson of Fire, Trevor and Katherine of Air, Prudence and Sam of Earth, me, Thomas of Water, and Leah who was not a wielder of the light but joined us, nonetheless.

Sylvia, with determination in her voice, stated that we must overthrow Rebecca and Gareth. We had received news that Harold, who had caused us trouble, was no longer with them as he had passed away.

Samson asked, "With only a few of us, how can we defeat Rebecca's formidable forces?" Sylvia responded, "I have reached out to those in Lake City, Chicago. They will be arriving by midnight tomorrow. Unlike here, their community has not been compromised. Although they are small, they can assist us greatly. As the 'Book of Sally' states, 'It is better to have something than nothing at all.'"

Although the Californians did not respond to our call, we forgave them as they too faced their challenges. We then retired for the night, as the long and arduous battle awaited us.

As Sylvia led us in a chant, "Moonlight be upon me, guiding me to wherever I want," we reminded ourselves of the strength of our belief and the favour the light had upon us, even though we were few. The others, who followed blindly without belief, merely converted through force.

And so, under the cover of a moonless night, we retreated to our hideout to rest and gather our strength for the battle ahead.

Before retiring for the night, Sylvia delivered a powerful sermon to our group. She spoke of the importance of our faith and the light that guided us. "Do not be fooled by those who chant with empty words," she warned. "Our chant is full of effort and conviction. Many may follow those who lead without belief, but we, with quality in our beliefs, have the light's favour upon us."

She reminded us that we had a great responsibility, as we were the chosen few to fight against evil and restore balance to our world. "Remember," she said, "the light shines upon us because of our unwavering faith and the strength of our beliefs. Let us embrace the light and use its power to overcome the darkness."

Her words filled us with courage and a sense of purpose. We left the meeting feeling reinvigorated, ready to face the challenges ahead. With Sylvia's sermon ringing in our ears, we retired for the night, knowing that the light was with us and that our battle was just beginning.

I had a profound vision from Seamus, the great leader of our ancestors. In my dream, Seamus appeared before me, his aura shining brightly, and he spoke to me with a voice like thunder.

"Thomas of Water," he said, "you have been chosen to lead the fight against evil. The light has chosen you to restore balance to our world. Do not be afraid, for the light is with you and will guide you on your journey."

I felt a surge of power run through my veins as Seamus continued to speak. "You must be brave and steadfast in your beliefs. The road ahead will be treacherous, but remember, the light is always with you, guiding you towards your destiny."

As I awoke from my vision, I felt a deep sense of purpose and newfound confidence. Seamus' words echoed in my mind, reminding me of my calling and the important role I played in the fight against evil. I knew that with the light by my side, I could overcome any obstacle that lay ahead.

As Thomas of Water, I was present at a meeting between Sylvia of Wood and the reinforcements from Chicago. Sylvia addressed the new arrivals, including Quintana of Earth, Zaid of Earth, Pedro of Earth, Masami of Water, Davy of Water, Richmond of Water, Zima of Water, Matthew of Air and Mikey of Air, and spoke about the importance of freeing those who have fallen under Rebecca's control.

"Rebecca has tried to bring the homeless into houses, but this goes against the teachings of Seamus, who said 'Being homeless means you're free,'" Sylvia declared. "We must free them from the slavery they now face and let them know the light."

As Sylvia spoke, the group began to chant, "Like we are, the light is with us. In its brightness, we are healed and made strong again. And let all who do not know, we are of the light. May they all know the light, for the light knows us."

With a sense of purpose and a deep connection to the light, the group set out on their journey to the north, towards Nova Scotia. As I write this, I want to remember and honour those who bravely fought in the name of the light, for all the books may not have a complete list of the fallen. The light will never be forgotten.

As Thomas of Water, I walked with my companions on the journey towards Nova Scotia. The chanting from before echoed in my mind, reminding me of the strength and purpose that come from being a believer in the light.

Along the way, I had a vision of Seamus himself. He appeared to me in all his glory, shining bright with the light. He spoke to me, his words filled with compassion and encouragement. "Thomas, my child," he said, "you are on the right path. The battle ahead will be difficult, but the light will be with you. Remember why you fight and let the light guide your every step."

The vision left me feeling empowered and strengthened. I knew that with the light by my side, I could face any challenge that lay ahead. And so, with a steadfast resolve, I continued on with my companions, determined to do what I must to overthrow Rebecca and Gareth and restore the freedom of those who have been enslaved.

III

As we marched towards our destination, I took comfort in the knowledge that Seamus was with us, guiding us and watching over us. The journey may be long and the battles fierce, but I have faith that in the end, the light will triumph. And so, I pray that the light may continue to shine and that its wisdom and guidance will never be forgotten.

As we journeyed north, we talked amongst ourselves. Quintana of Earth spoke of how she was once a slave to the system, just like the people we were fighting for. She talked of how she was taken in by a kind soul who showed her the light, and how she will never go back to the way things were before. Zaid of Earth agreed and spoke of how he was once homeless and alone until he met Sylvia and the others who showed him a new way of life.

Pedro of Earth spoke of the courage it took to stand up against the mighty forces of Rebecca and Gareth. He spoke of how he was scared at first, but then he remembered the words in the Book of Sally, "It is better having something, than having nothing at all." And with that, he mustered the courage to fight for what he believed in.

Masami of Water and Davy of Water spoke of their love for the light, and how it gives them hope and comfort. They spoke of how it gives them the strength to face any challenges that come their way. Richmond of Water, Zima of Water, Matthew of Air and Mikey of Air all agreed, and spoke of their own experiences with the light.

As we talked, we felt the light shining upon us, guiding us on our journey. We felt strengthened by each other's words, and we knew that no matter what obstacles we faced, we would face them together, as a team. The light was with us, and we were with the light.

Our journey took us many days, through forests and across rivers. The terrain was rugged and difficult, but we pressed on, driven by our commitment to the cause. Along the way, we encountered others who were also on their own journeys, and we shared our stories and offered comfort and support to one another.

As we drew closer to Nova Scotia, we could sense the tension building. We knew that the battle ahead would be intense and that there would be great sacrifices to be made. But we also knew that the light was with us and that, with its guidance, we would be victorious.

We arrived in Nova Scotia at the break of dawn, and we could see the forces of Rebecca and Gareth waiting for us. But instead of fear, I felt a sense of calm and peace. I knew that the light was with me and that it would protect and guide me through the coming battle.

And so, I stepped forward, my companions at my side, and I faced the enemy. The battle was long and brutal, but with each passing moment, I felt my faith in the light grow stronger. And in the end, we emerged victorious, our enemies defeated and the people of Nova Scotia free once more.

It was a great victory, but it was not without sacrifice. Many of my companions, brave believers in the light, fell in battle. But I know that they did not die in vain and that their spirits continue to shine brightly in the light.

And so, I write this account of our journey and our battle, so that future generations may know of the sacrifices made in the name of the light. May the light continue to shine and guide us all, now and forevermore.
