A/N: Anyone who wants to do a story where the characters read 'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes' series is allowed to do so as long as they tell me before hand.

I don't own Percy Jackson series or Naruto series, or any of the characters of either series. Nor am I the writer of the Son of the Huntress series

Warning: Read these stories if you haven't before reading this story:

'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Lightning Thief'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Sea of Monsters'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Titan's Curse'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Battle of the Labyrinth'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Last Olympian'
'The Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Staff of Hermes'
'The Legacy of the Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero'
'The Legacy of the Heroes of Olympus: The Quest for Buford'

I'm going to make this clear to those who don't approve the idea of legacies in Camp Half-Blood.

One: If you actually looked into Greek Mythology you know there been plenty of Greek Legacies. Heck Frank's ancestors were Greek legacies before they joined the Romans.

Two: Time and time again in the Percy Jackson series they mention many famous names Rick Riordan used as demigods Greek Demigods reaching adulthood-George Washington, Amelia Earhart, F.D.R., General Sherman and many more-many of which had children of their own which would make their kids legacies.

Three: About Naruto not being wise enough to be a Legacy of Athena, keep in mind in future reference for any sequel fanfictions of Percy Jackson that when Percy and Annabeth have kids, if they have any of Percy's personality they might not have much interest in school and thus not show much of any of Athena's wisdom. So I should have a pass on the matter with Naruto because of that fact.

Four: Since I made Naruto a legacy of Athena through Minato, he can't have any connections with the Romans as for any god/goddess, Olympian or Minor to have a legacy they must have children who later grow up to have children of their own. Minerva doesn't have kids, and it been clear before the return of Athena's Parthenos the idea of the matter was saw as a disgrace to the Romans as it meant Minerva broke her vow in their eyes. Not to mention the fact that the feud between Greek and Romans was kept alive for so long because of Athena.

Also for anyone who thinks it be okay having a child/Legacy of Artemis or Hestia to meet the romans, although Diana or Vesta wasn't treated any worse from their Greek counterparts as the comparison of Athena and Minerva, keep in mind they also made a vow to not have any kids, and since Romans take their vows so seriously they have their own god whose domain is over vows I think they would frown upon the idea of Diana and Vesta breaking their vows. Although I did enjoy The Son of the Huntress series, even though Naruto saved Reyna and Hylla the fact any more Romans would accept the idea there being a child and grandchild of two virgin goddesses feels a bit far fetch.

Heads up, Sheffinator has posted the reading of fanfiction for The Legacy series called 'Reading of the Legacy of Athena and Hermes'. I have gave them permission and the first chapter is posted.

I started it 'Reading of the Legacy of Athena and Hermes: The Lightning Thief as part of my youtube channel of me reading fanfictions and actual books. I can't send the link because of course fanfiction site won't let me, but just look it up under my name Ashleigh Stratmann.

Yugito Meets Harpy Obsessed with Books

Percy took a bowl of what looked to be noodles, cheese sauce, and a tubular pastry that looked like a combination of burrito and cinnamon roll as Yugito lead her friends across the street. Phineas didn't seem to care about Percy doing that.

"That man..." Hazel smacked the side of the bus-stop bench. "He needs to die. Again."

Hazel's long curly hair was plastered down the side of her face. In the gray light, her gold eyes looked more like tins.

"We need to figure out how to kill him first," Yugito said. "I'm guessing that harpy he wants might know something that can help us do so."

"What makes you say that?" Frank asked.

"He wasn't telling us the whole truth," Yugito said. "He wants that harpy for more than revenge over some scars."

"And you think it might be a way to take Phineas down?" Hazel asked.

"It's worth to check," Yugito said.

"How do we get her to talk to us?" Frank asked.

"I got an idea," Percy said has he lifted the food he took. "We can use this as an offering."

"Since it came from Phineas' table, it might work," Yugito admitted. "Let's go Harpy searching."

Percy uncovered the food and fragrant wafted into the air. Even Yugito had to admit it smelled good but she Hazel and Frank kept their guard up. The harpies fluttered after them, perching on trees, mailboxes, and flagpoles, following the smell of food.

Yugito had learned about the Mist from Lupa and knew it worked like Genjutsu on mortals and demigods. So what they saw were harpies, mortals probably did see pigeons as Phineas said. She don't know what mortals see the weapons as though, but hopefully not as weapons. Either way Percy kept a grip on his peace offering.

Finally they spotted the red-feathered harpy, circling above a stretch of parkland that ran for several blocks between rows of old stone buildings. Paths stretched through the park under huge maple and elm trees, past sculptures and playgrounds and shady benches.

They crossed the street and found a bench to sit on, next to a big bronze sculpture of an elephant.

"Looks like Hannibal," Hazel said.

"Except it's Chinese," Frank said. "My grandmother has one of those." He flinched. "I mean, hers isn't twelve feet tall. But she imports stuff from China. We're Chinese." He looked at Yugito Hazel and Percy. Percy and Hazel looked like they were trying not to laugh. "Could I just die from embarrassment now?" he asked.

"It's not the silliest thing I ever heard," Yugito admitted.

Unless he turns it into a rap lyrics, Matatabi added.

Percy raised the noodles and fan the smell upward. The red harpy circled lower.

"We won't hurt you," Percy called up in a normal voice. "We just want to talk. Thai noodles for a chance to talk, okay?"

The harpy streaked down in a flash of red and landed on the elephant statue.

She was painfully thin. Her feathery legs were like sticks. Her face would have been pretty except for her sunken cheeks. She moved in jerky birdlike twistches, her coffee-brown eyes darting restlessly, her fingers clawing at her plumage, her earlobes, her shaggy red hair.

"Cheese," she muttered, looking sideways. "Ella doesn't like cheese."

Percy hesitated. "Your name is Ella?"

"Ella. Aella. 'Harpy', In English. In Latín. Ella doesn't like cheese." SHe said all that without taking a breath or making eye contact, Her hands snatched at her hair, her burlap dress, the raindrops, whatever moved.

Quicker than they could blink, she lunged, snatched the cinnamon burrito, and appeared atop the elephant again."

"That's as fast as Lord Raikage," Yugito said in awe.

"I think I seen faster," Percy muttered but still impressed.

Ella sniffed the burrito. She nibbled the edge and shuddered from heat to foot, cawinng like she was dying. "Cinnamon is good," she pronounced. "Good for harpies. Yum."

She started to eat, but the bigger harpies swooped down.

Yugito made a series of hand signs and blew .blue flaming rats at the harpies. They hit and the harpies. It didn't destroy the harpies but it scared them off and kept them away until Ella finished eating.

"Girl with Blue flames let Ella eat Cinnamon." Ella said "Others won't let Ella eat Cinnamon. Only cheese. No cinnamon for weak Ella."

As Yugito heard that, she felt a pain in her heart as she remember growing up a jinchuriki, how she was forced to eat scraps by those that hated her for being a jinchuriki-how she was outcasted.

"Ella, I help you because my friends and I want to be your friend," Yugito told her. "We can get you more food but-"

"Friends," Ella said. "Ten seasons. 1994 to 2004." She side glance at Yugito and Percy, then looked in the air and started reciting. "A Half-blood of the eldest gods, shall reach sixteen against all odds. As the Flames of Willpower shall be tested, as a once great warrior shall be bested. Sixteen. You're sixteen. Page sixteen, Mastering the Art of French cooking. 'Ingredients: Bacon, Butter. Girl with fire. Firestarter by Stephen King fiction horror. Publish September 29th 1980."

Percy suddenly looked like he was shellshocked. "Ella... what was that you said?"

"September 29th," she caught a raindrop out of the air. "Butter."

"No before that... those lines... I know those lines."

Hazel shivered. "It does sound familiar, like... I don't know, like a prophecy. Maybe it's something she heard from Phineas say?"

At the name Phineas, Ella squawked in terror and flew away.

"Wait!" Hazel called. "I didn't mean-Oh, gods, I'm stupid."

"It's all right," Frank pointed. "Look."

Ella wasn't moving as quickly now. She flapped her way to the top of a three story-red brick building and scuttled out of sight over the roof. A single red feather fluttered down to the street.

"You think that's her nest?" Frank squinted at the sign on the building. "Multnomah County Library?"

Percy nodded. "Let's see if it's open."

They ran across the street into the lobby.

They jogged thethrough the spacious brightly lit lobby. Sudden;y Percy froze.

"Percy?" Frank asked. "What's wrong?"

Percy looked as if he was trying to concentrate on something. THen Percy scammed his fist into side of the bookshelf.

"Percy?" Hazel asked gently.

"I'm-I'm alright," he lied. Just got dizzy for a sec. Let's find a way to the roof."

Yugito could sense Percy was lying but didn't push it.

It took them a while, but they finally found a stairwell with roof access. At the top was a door with a handle alarm but someone propped it open with a copy of War and Peace.

Outside, Ella the harpy was huddled in a nest of books under a makeshift cardboard shelter.

Yugito and her friends advance slowly, trying not to scare her. Ella didn't pay them any attention. She picked at her feathers and mutter under her breath, like she was practicing lines for a play.

"Hey, sorry my friend scarred you back there. We didn't mean for that. We still want to help you, but sadly we don't have any more food from his table." Yugito said. "Is there anything we can do to help?"

"Photosynthesis," Ella muttered. "Noun. Biology. The synthesis of complex organic materials. 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness...'"

"What is she saying?" Frank asked.

Yugito, look at her nest, Matatabi noted.

Yugito did and saw it was a mound of old and mildewed books. SOme had prices written in marker on the covers.

Percy must have looked too because he guessed, "She's quoting book."

"Farmer's Almanac 1965," Ella said. "'Start breeding animals, January twenty-sixth."

"Ella," he said, "have you read all of these?"

She blinked. "More. More downstairs. Words. Words calm Ella down. Words, words, words."

Yugito decided to test something, and picked up a tattered copy of A History of Horseracing. "Ella, Do you remember the third paragraph on page sixty-two-"

"Secretariat," Ella said instantly. "'Favored three to two in the 1973 Kentucky Derby, finished at standing track record of one fifty-nine and two fifths."

"Word by word," Yugito said closing the book.

"That's amazing," Hazel said.

"She's a genius chicken," Frank agreed.

Percy looked uneasy about something and Yugito got the feeling it got what Ella said earlier-and it might have to do with why Phineas wants her.

"Ella," Percy said. "We're going to find a way to break the curse. Would you like that?"

"It's impossible," she said. "Recorded in English by Perry Cómo, 1970."

"Nothing is impossible," Percy said.

"Percy is right. Listen to me, Ella. I'm going to say his name, and I don't want you to run away," Yugito told Ella. "We're going to save you and the other harpies from the curse. We just need to figure a way to beat... Phineas."

Fortunately to Yugito's relief, Ella didn't bolt. SHe just shook her head vigorously. "N-n-no! No Phineas. Ella is quick. Too quick for him. But he wants to ch-chain ella. He hurts Ella.""

She tried to reach for the gash on her back.

Yugito took off her pack and grabbed her thermos of nectar. She tried to scoot closer, but Ella recoiled and started shriek. Yugito manage to get some nectar on Ella's back. The wound began to close.

"See, it's fine," Yugito said. "All healed up."

"Phineas is bad." Ella insisted. "And weed whackers. And cheese."

"It's fine, we won't let him hurt you again," Yugito said, "But there must be something you know we can use to trick him."

"N-no," Ella said. "Tricks are for kids. 50 Tricks to Teach Your Dog, by Sophie Collins, call number six-three-six-"

"What about weaknesses?" Yugito asked.

"Blind. He's blind."

Yugito, ask about addictions or something like that, Matatabi said.

"Does he have any addictions or something?" Yugito asked.

"Chance," she said. "Games of chance. Two to one. Bad odds. Call or fold."

"You mean he's a gambler?" Percy asked.

"Phineas' sees things. Prophecies. Fates. God stuff. But small stuff. Random. Exciting."

"Of course, why didn't I think of that," Yugito said. "One of the sins a shinobi can commit is gambling."

"And he's blind." Ella continued.

"You mean you understand that?" Frank asked.

"Yeah. Phineas must not be able to see small random stuff so gambling must be exciting to him," Yugito.

"So if we get him to make a bet..." Percy said.

Hazel nodded. "You mean if he loses, he has to tell us where Thaatos is."

"And free Ella and the other harpies," Yugito said. "Even though those harpies were mean to Ella, they don't deserve to starve either."

"We'll free them too," Percy reassure Yugito.

"But what can we wager?" Hazel asked. "What kind of game do we play?"

"Something simple, with high stakes," Percy said. "Like two choices. One, you live, one you die. And the price has to be something Phineas wants..."

"Besides you Ella," Yugito reassure Ella.

"Sight," Ella muttered. "Sight is good for a blind men. Healing... nope, nope. Gaea won't do that for Phineas. Gaea keeps Phineas b-blind, dependent on Gaea. Yep."

I like this harpy more and more, Matatabi said.

Yugito Frank and Percy exchange meaningful looks.

"Do you have them?' Yugito asked.

"I do," Frank said.

"What?" Hazel asked.

"Gorgon's blood. When Yugito and I destroyed the gorgons we got two vials of it," Percy said. "One is poison, the other is a cure."

Frank brought out two ceramic vials. "Ella's a genius." Frank said."Unless we die."

"Don't worry about that," Percy said. "I've got a plan."

A/N: Make clear Yugito is sympathetic with Ella because of the hatred and mistreatment she most likely went through because she is a Jinchuriki. Killer Bee went through it despite being the adopted brother of the 4th Raikage, so I'm sure that even if Raikage was kind to Yugito (in his own way) she would have gone through the same thing.
