I own nothing

Harald Karstark stood in the courtyard of Winterfell. By his side was his new wife Jayne formerly Jayne Poole. In her arms was a young son name Rickard after his grandfather. Rickard pulled on his mother's brown hair. Her warm brown eyes looked lovingly at him. By Jane were her younger sisters Gwyn, Lyra, Mira, and Alys. Alys was Rickon's age. Jayne's body still showed marks from the sacking of Winterfell. Standing in front of Harald was Rickon with Shaggydog by his side. Maester Luwin stood by Harald's side with a cane from his injuries from the sacking of Winterfell. The people of Winter town people that worked in Winterfell filled the courtyard. Rickon had sad look on his face. As much as he was told of his family's return, he could not believe it. It had been too long. He thought if they were okay, they would have come back by now.

A wolf howl was heard, throughout the courtyard. Causing Rickon to look up as Shaggydog returned the howl. Nymeria and Starlight lead the pack of wolves. They were quickly followed by Storm, Artemis, and Athena. Athena was followed by her larger brother Balerion and Achilles. At the rear was Greywind. Rickon's eyes went wide at the sight of them.

"Direwolves return to Winterfell, they are coming home," Jayne knelt to whisper in Rickon's ear.

"I know," Rickon said yet still not believing it.

A roar was heard then. Causing all eyes to lift skyward. Jayne stood up looking in awe of the large beasts flying overhead. The story of dragons was true. The last time a dragon was at Winterfell was when Alysanne came and charmed Alaric Stark with Silverwing. As Selaera, Drogon, Visenya, Rhaenys, Rhaegal, and Viserion flew overhead. She half expected one of them to land in the courtyard. They circled overhead, as horses two wheelhouses rolled into the courtyard. Rickon looked in awe of the dragons. Until he heard a voice that he remember talking, he looked over when he saw Robb ridding into the courtyard with Lord Jaime at his side with Ser Barristan on his other side. Rickon broke out of Harald's hold running over to his brother. Robb quickly dismounted caught Rickon in his arms lifting him.

"Robb you are alright," Rickon said in shock.

"Of course, I am, Rickon, look," Robb told him in his head.

Rickon looked over his shoulder as Arya and Ned rode in together. His eyes went wide as he quickly wanted down. Ned and Arya dismount. Arya looked around Winterfell so much had changed since the last time she was here. Catelyn disembarked from one of the wheelhouses. Rickon did not who to go to first happy tears course down his face. Robb placed him on the ground as Smalljon and Greatjon dismounted by one of the wheelhouses. Robb walked over to that wheelhouse opening the door he held out his hand for Rae to take. Rae took his hand on her hip was Torrhen. She was dress in a black northern style gown. She had a white fur line cloak a gift from House Reed. The clock was closed with a Direwolf clasp. Rae looked around Winterfell as she noticed the people in the courtyard were on their knees in front of her. Val came out next her eyes were wide this was the first time she saw snow in large amounts in her arms was Lyanna. Velella disembarked with Lilliyan in her arms. Robb led her over to Harald Karstark.

"Your Graces, Lord Stark I am happy to return Winterfell to rightful rulers," Harald stated looking at Robb, Rae, and Ned.

Ned was hugging Rickon. He handed him to Catelyn to reassure him. He made his way over to Robb and Raenera. It was so good to be back in Winterfell. He saw Jayne by Harald Karstark. At the same time, part of him was worried about revealing his sister's secret to Jon. Knowing his whole life was a lie as much Rae tried to reassure him that Jon would understand. She had gone through something similar with Jon Arryn where her life was on the line.

"Thank you, Ser Harald, may I introduce my wife and your queen Raenera," Robb said motioning for him to rise from his kneeling position.

"My queen," Harald greeted kissing the top of Rae's hand. He turned back toward his wife. He motioned for her forward. Robb smiled noticing Jayne Poole. It felt so be back home. Even he knew it would be short-lived. Part of him wanted Jon to take the Kingship. So, he could stay and just go back to being Robb, not be his grace King Robb first of his name and the rest of the long list of titles that went along with it. "Allow me to introduce my wife Jayne," Harald said.

"Lady Jayne" Rae greeted as one hand went to her belly where her child kicked her while adjusting Torrhen in her other arm.

Jayne gave her a knowing look. She shifted Rickard in her arms. She gave her a smile she moved forward.

"You must be tried come let me show you where the nursery is," Jayne said.

"Thank you, Lady Val, Velella, come with me," Rae said.

Daeny rode into the courtyard with Jorah by her side. She had a smile on her face as watch her dragons circle over Winterfell. Her smile slowly turned to a frown as she noticed the icy reception to her be here.
"I told you Khalessi the north does not like outsiders," Jorah informed her.

Daeny gave him an understanding look. Until her eyes fell on Rae as she was welcome into North with opened arms. What made her so different. Jorah caught her staring at Rae with questions in her eyes.

"Khalessi, She carries the future heir of Winterfell with any luck. She is of the North through her mother. She is an Umber, and all the North army knows this. The North named Robb their King when she married Robb, she became their Queen. It would be wrong for them to not welcome her. Not to mention, she has proven herself, capable of bearing children. And as much as you may not agree with it, she is the Queen," Jorah explained.

None of that matters in Daeny mind. If Rae was welcomed but Daeny had an icy welcome it only added to the questions in Daeny's mind; "What made Rae so different?" Oberyn rode in he had the same cold icy reception but took it all in strides. Nymeria came up beside her father, she pulled the fur line cloak closer to her body. This was nothing like the heat of Dorne. She too took the people's cold look. She looked over to her father, part of her was wondering if she made the right choice. Until she caught Smalljon eyes, the light the filled his eyes as he looked at her was enough for her. She smiled as he made his way over to her helping her down from her horse.

"How you are liking the North so far," Smalljon asked.

"it's different, a good different," Nymeria told him leaning up to kiss him.

Ser Davos and his crew made to Essos to the port of Volantis. His eyes looked at the place it was not that much different then Flea's Bottom, it was a bleak place. It was bustling with people he passed a red priest preaching the praises of the dragon queens. He covers the pin the held his cloak closed not wanting any more attention than needed. It was better to remain unnoticed then welcomed in open arms. He still had a distrust for the fate of R'hllor after Melisandre. Part of him trusted Rae with everything the other part of him still questions if she knew what she was doing getting a contract with the Golden Company a group of sellswords. Could a group of sellswords really be trusted to follow through? To him they would see a dragon as a dragon it would not matter which one would win. He and his crew made their way to the brothel in Volantis. He knew his crew needed some much drink and woman after so long at sea.

Once they reach it the rest of the crew went inside. Ser Davos leaned against the wall outside of it. He watched the people pass. It was amazingly easy to see who had money and who did not. He looked up at the sky. A woman with black hair dress like an extraordinarily rich woman walked pass him she caught sight of the sigil on his cloak. It was Melirah Vhassar. She made her way over to him with her two unsullied guards.

"You serve the dragon Queen?" Melirah asked.

"I do," Ser Davos replied. He brought his eyes to the person in front of him. The two unsullied guards had a tiger burned on their chest. There was something about her that reminded him of Rae and from what he heard Stannis talk about Cersei was like. There was intelligence in her eyes. But unlike Rae, there was a cunning devious nature to that intelligence. "Mi Lady, may I ask who are you?" Ser Davos posed.

"I'm Melirah Vhassar daughter of Nyessos Vhassar one of the Triarchs of Volantis," Melirah said with a smile. She looked at him for a moment. This could help her father if she played their cards right. "I wonder, what brings you, so far from your home to Volantis?" Melirah coyly asked.

"I seek the Golden Company," Ser Davos answered.

"Oh, I'm sure my father could help you. It will spare you the trouble of traveling to all of the free cities searching for them." She started. Ser Davos looked intrigued by that. The quicker he could get his task done the better. But he was not so naïve to think there would be something in return. She was gauging him. She knew what Daenerys had done in Astapor. "And in return, maybe you could put in a good word with your Queen about the willingness of Vhassar family and Volantis to fall in line with her point of view," Melirah suggested.

"I could do that," Ser Davos said.

"In that case, you and your crew will be welcomed at my father's home," Melirah stated she nodded to one of her guards to stay with Ser Davos, to lead them to her father's home.

The feast at Winterfell was one of great joy. Rae sat at the high table watching the happiness. She sipped on her northern wine eating the meal in front of her. Evaline and Jaime were dancing by Harald and Jayne. Smalljon and Nymeria were dancing. Rickard was talking with Ned drinking along with Greatjon. Catelyn was happy to have her youngest child by her side. Robb looked so free of the mantle he had now. It like seeing the boy he was before the war. Arya was near Robb laughing at something one of them said. Oberyn was near Daenerys who looked a bit out of place. Rae caught Daeny eyes. She motioned for her to come up to her. Daeny excused herself from Oberyn and made her way to Rae.

"Rae," Daeny greeted.

"Sister, I have something to ask you," Rae started.

"What is it," Daeny asked.

"As you know, we depart for Last Hearth and the Wall on the morrow. I like to ask you to stay here help look after my children… all of my children," Rae asked. She emphasizes the last part.

"You are not taking the dragons," Daeny asked disbelievingly.

"It is not a show of power, we are traveling lightly. Once, Jon knows the truth then we can introduce him to dragons," Rae said.

"Your Grace," Val said coming up to Rae.

"What is Esme and Syvina cannot seem to get Prince Torrhen to sleep. They were hoping maybe you could try," Val told her.

Rae nodded to Val. Lady Val moved back but stayed close in case Rae need help getting up since she was so heavily pregnant. The music stopped as Rae stood up.

"Excuse me, Daeny, Good Night I believe after I get Torrhen to sleep I will retire for the night," Rae stated motioning for the music to continue.

"Of course, good night Your Grace," Daeny said.

Rae made her way over to Robb whispering in his ear that she was retiring that Torrhen needed her. He nodded kissing her softly. She returned the kiss. Daeny eyes stayed locked on Rae depart with Ser Barristan and Lady Val following behind her. Ser Jorah came up to her.

"Khalessi," Jorah started.

"I think I should send for my second sons. If nothing to help with the great war to come," Daeny said.

"If you think that is best Khalessi," Jorah said hesitantly he was not sure what war Daeny was talking about, the War with the Great other or one between herself and Raenera.

Esme handed a had a fussy Torrhen to Rae. She had apologetic look on her face. Rae took Torrhen in her arms slowly started to sway with him. His little fist closes on her gown. His face buried in her neck. As she started to hum a tune that nursemaid. She made her way over to the window in the nursery. Her eyes went to the dragon flying overhead in the night sky. She closed her eyes praying to every god that could hear her prays that she was wrong. But the more time on this trip with Daeny the more against her Daeny seemed to become. Tears filled her amethyst eyes as saw Drogon and Selaera dance together. She hoped she would not see them dance in a battle against each other like the history of the dance.

Triarchs home was nothing short of ornate. Tiger statue guarded the door. Ser Davos hoped he was not making a mistake. He was led inside to meet Nyessos he was talking with two men that looked more like they were from Westeros than Essos. Nyessos had long dark brown hair with the same dark piercing eyes that his daughter had. He had a dark olive skin tone he motioned for Ser Davos forward.

"I am Nyessos Vhassar. Welcome to my home. This is the Captain of Golden Company and his second. I believe you wanted to meet them," Nyessos said in High Valyrian.

Davos looked a little lost. His Valyrian was limited. One of the two men took pity on him. His hair was golden blonde his eyes like emeralds. He reminded Ser Davos of Tyrion and Jaime Lannister.

"He welcomes you to his home. And told you we are the captain and his lieutenant. I am Gerion, and this is Captain Harry Strickland," Gerion said his hand went to his sword with the pommel of a lion head.

"I have a message for you from Queen Raenera Stark first of her name, first of her name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms; Protector of the realm and Mother of dragons, The unburnt." Ser Davos said.

"And what does your Queen want," Harry asked.

Ser Davos moved forward to hand him the sealed message. Harry looked at it before, breaks the seal. He read the letter handing it over to Gerion. This would be one of their largest contracts.
"We agree," Gerion stated turning to Nyessos with taking a goblet of wine.

Nyessos motioned for unsullied servants to bring wine to his guest. Ser Davos took the wine. He did not know what Rae promised. But whatever it was it was enough.

"The Golden Company has once supported a Dragon it will honor to serve a dragon again," Harry stated.

Rae by Robb side rode into Last Hearth. Greatjon looked so pleased to be able to show his niece her mother home. Oberyn and Nymeria looked around this bleak wasteland of the north. They said the deserts of Dorne were bad nothing could prepare them for the snow and cold of the North near the Wall.

"My Lord," Maester Dran Snow said.

Maester Dran Snow's eyes caught sight of Robb and Ned but quickly fell on Rae's form. As she looked around her mother's home. It was like seeing his old charge again, Lady Lilliyan. He was lost for words.

"Later Maester Dran Snow, my niece is tired from her journey," Greatjon stated.

Greatjon was by Rae's side and took looking after her on this long journey even more so than before because she was so heavy with child. Everyone on this journey was very watchful and careful with her. Starlight and Greywind stood guard by her horse. Robb helped her down and stood by her other side. The cart that carried her clothes and supplies and Vellella came into the courtyard of the castle.

"But my Lord," Maester Dran Snow continued.

Smalljon helped Nymeria down checking that she was alright. Knowing she has never really been this weather. Snow started to fall. She pulled her cloak closer. He kissed her softly. She returned the kiss. A clearing of the throat caused them to break apart. They looked at Oberyn with a guilty look.

"I cannot wait to place a true northern cloak on you," Smalljon whispered in her ear.

"It will be later tonight it will not be long," Nymeria told him.

"You are alright being married in the way of Old Gods aren't you," Smalljon asked.

"As long as I married to you nothing else matters," Nymeria reassured him.

Smalljon took note of the worried look on Maester Dran's face. Whatever it was it was not good. Rae noticed then the worried looked on her cousin's face.

"Smalljon what wrong?" Rae asked turning toward him.

"It's the look on Maester Dran's face something I believe is wrong," Smalljon replied.

"Uncle stop, I think your Maester has something important to tell you. Me standing here for a few moments more will not hurt me," Rae said.

Robb had his arm around her to help her and support her. He had little doubt that now that his child will be born in the north. The question was just now where it will be, the Wall, Last Hearth, or Winterfell.

"Maester Dran allow me to introduce my liege lord, Lord Eddard Stark and his Son King Robb Stark and his wife and my niece Queen Raenera Stark. Along with my son soon to be wife Lady Nymeria Martell and her father Prince Oberyn Martell. As you can clearly, Rae is heavy with child I have little doubt she would like to rest. Has my wife Lady Meerna prepared chambers for them?" Greatjon asked. He stopped for a moment to let Maester Dran greet each person. He bowed before Robb and Rae. Greatjon at that time noticed the worried look on Maester Dran's face. "What has happened Maester Dran," Greatjon asked.

"A huge group of wildings and giants are let south of the wall. It looked like it was every person of the realm of men that lived north of Wall They had have settled in the Gift," Maester Dran told him.

"Good," Rae stated overhearing the news.

"Your Grace," Maester Dran questioned.

Quick Question where should Rae have her baby? Let me know in the comments. Thank you all for your continued support. And I am sorry for the long lack of updates. My life has been crazy.
