"Your brother tells me your strengths are athleticism and mechanical work." I give him a nod of agreement.
"There is a lot of work to be done on this base, I understand you are injured but I will expect you to help out as soon as possible." I straighten out my back a little more now a few inches taller than the man in front of me.
"I am good for any work you have for me now I don't need anymore time to heal sir." Richard raised an eyebrow at my response before his expression quickly changed back to emotionless. He hands me a computer chip.
"Plug this into your tablet and it will update your watch and tablet with the jobs you will have to do each day and weekly and goals long term for this group. Work starts at 0700 each morning" I take the chip. Then start to walk to the doors following where everyone else went.
"And son" He calls out after me "I'm sorry about your parents" I give him a slight nod before walking out.
I find my way back to my room and insert the chip into my tablet. I read my watch. It is already 30 mins past 0700. I follow the new map that is on my tablet which leads me to a ship bay. I open the doors and inside is a large room with a circle of water in the middle with a chain above it that is empty and there are parts of different machines all around the room just on tables and the floor, some tables are tipped over. It looks as if they just threw in everything they didn't know what to work with.
I put my tablet on the wall where there was a slot for it to be held. I look over my task for today.

I sigh and look around for a welder and a tool box, I put some tools into the box and start to head off to my task. It took me several hours to fix most of the holes I'm the middle of fixing C7. My watch buzzed loudly telling us it was time for lunch, I looked at the time, it was 1200. Not feeling hungry I continued to finish my holes marking them off on my watch as I finished them so it was acknowledged to the base.
After I finish the rest of the holes I take back the tools to the room with my tablet. It is 1400 when I get back to the ship bay. I head to the kitchen and grab some of the food that was in mostly empty containers. I grab a sandwich and a water and quickly eat then head back to the ship bay.
I made sure all of the holes were checked off my list then started to head off to fix some of the electrical problems that were marked. The first few were in the bedroom wing, a few lights broken, some outlets not working, and some shelves getting stuck causing peoples belongings to be trapped.
I knocked before each door making sure to wait a little bit before letting myself in to fix the problems. I only ran into a few people that were stopping by their rooms between jobs. I knock on the last room in the bedroom wing. I have to fix something and have no answer. I sigh , waiting a few more seconds then letting myself in, announcing that I was coming in.
The room was very similar to mine. It had a lot more books on the shelves and an opened book with a pen on a desk that was in the corner. Some clothes were thrown across the bed with the bed being messy and unkempt. Realizing this is clearly a girls room I stop myself from looking around too much . I fix the outlet and make the closet open more easily so it doesn't have any more problems. After I finish all the tasks in this bedroom I quickly head out and on the table that is right behind the door lays a fire extinguisher.
I leave the room closing the door behind me a little too hard and hurry up to the next place I had work. "That was Charlotte's room" I say to myself while hurrying to my next task.
After finishing some of the wings with their listed problems my watch buzzes again calling for dinner time. I once again pass on the dinner just continuing working. I finish a few more wings but I'm getting tired. I start to head back to the ship bay. When I get there I realize how covered in oil and grime I am. I drink some more water from the bottle I had earlier finishing it up then shooting it into a barrel that was close by.
I pick up a few tool holders, put them back how they belong and then put away the tools I used today after I cleaned them off. I hung the rag I was using over a table nearby.
I grab my tablet from the wall, it now has a strap on it. I put it over my head and held the tablet like a laptop bag would sit. I head to the caferitera and all the food is already cleaned up and the lights are off. I head to the kitchen which I see the light is on hoping to be able to get some food before I head back to my room.
