Penny stood next to the bleachers at the side of the field, waiting for Levi's coach to release the team. Sending a text to Amy that the game was over and Levi's team won and that she should be returning the boy home soon, she slipped her phone into her back pocket when the group of seven-year-olds scattered towards the stands.

"Hey, Levi!" she waved to get his attention, watching him trail behind his teammates across the field. "You were great out there today. You ready to go home and tell Amy and Sheldon all about how you made a run today?"

Dragging his feet, not racing toward the blonde with his usual excitement after a game, Levi shrugged his shoulders. "I guess."

"Let's go." Penny led the way back to her car, tossing his bag in the backseat while he buckled himself. Pulling out of the parking lot of the baseball field, Penny's feeling of something being wrong grew stronger as Levi was silent in the backseat and wanted to do something to perk the boy up before returning home.

"Why are we stopped here?" was the next thing Levi said after Penny parked the car outside an ice cream shop near the apartments they used to live in.

Penny glanced over her shoulder, explaining, "I thought you'd like a treat to celebrate winning your last t-ball game. If you don't want ice cream, I can take you home."

Levi's mood immediately changed as he threw open the door and scrambled from the back of the car. He excitedly bounced from foot to foot, waiting for their turn to order. After ordering, Penny directed him to an open table while she paid for their treats. The pair enjoyed most of their ice cream in comfortable silence, with Penny finally bringing up, "You know, I brought Sheldon here once. He and Amy had just started living together and he was scared. I'm pretty sure he got strawberry with sprinkles, just like you."

"It's both our favorites. Why was dad scared because he started living with mom?"

"He was worried he was going to disappoint her, but we talked and he was feeling a lot better." Penny took this as her chance to see what was on the boy's mind. "You're quieter than usual today. Is everything okay?"

Swirling his spoon through the melted remnants of his ice cream, Levi quietly shared, "Today was our last game and mommy never got to see me play."

"Oh," Penny remembered Amy and Sheldon sharing that Levi had been having more of these types of moments recently. "But she is so proud of you."

"How do you know?"

"I met your mommy a few times. The last time I saw her was when she came to Sheldon and Amy's wedding. She never stopped talking about you. She would love that you love playing t-ball and how great of a big brother you are to Theo and how helpful you are with Melissa and Sadie. It's okay to miss her, but also remember that she's always with you. While she can't talk to you, you can talk to her whenever you're missing her."

Levi stared at the empty dish resting in front of him on the table. "I feel like sometimes mom and dad don't have time for me since the babies came."

"Come here, sweetie," Penny held her arms out to hug the boy. "I know things have changed a lot for you, but I promise you, they will always have time for you. I know it might not feel like it right now, especially since I've been taking you to t-ball every week, but that's only so Amy doesn't have to bring the babies to your game. It's too loud and crazy for them, right?"

"Yeah. Me and Theo have to be quiet when they're asleep so we don't wake them up. I don't think I'd want to play t-ball with them crying the whole time."

Penny loosened her embrace, sharing, "It's hard for Amy to leave Melissa and Sadie at home right now. I don't think I went anywhere without Maya for months after she was born. Amy has two babies to take care of, so it's even harder for her. There will come a day when she's able to leave the babies for longer than a few minutes at a time and she can take you to do things or she'll be comfortable with taking them out more. Until that happens, you call me if you ever want some one-on-one time with Aunt Penny. Even though today was your last t-ball game, that doesn't mean we can't hang out, just the two of us."

"Aunt Penny?" Levi asked, turning to face the woman.

Suddenly second-guessing herself, she asked, "Do you not like that? I thought since Amy and Sheldon refer to me and Leonard as aunt and uncle to Melissa and Sadie, you might like to, too?"

"Since Aunt Amy is my mom now, I don't have any aunts. I like you being my Aunt Penny. Are you gonna let Theo call you Aunt Penny, too?"

"If he wants," Penny confirmed.

"Can we go home? I want to tell mom and dad that I ran around all the bases." Penny nodded, collecting the empty ice cream dishes from the table. As they approached the door, Levi asked again, "Can we do this next week, Aunt Penny?"

"Whenever you want as long as Sheldon and Amy are okay with it."

Levi wasted no time flinging open the back door of Penny's car after she pulled into the driveway of the Cooper home. Running through the front door, he quickly found Sheldon with Theo in the living room. His sudden hug surprised the physicist. "I love you, dad. Where's mom?"

"She's upstairs with Melissa and Sadie. She wanted to take a nap if she could get them to sleep, please don't wake her up," he called after the boy. Turning his attention to Penny, who had followed him in, he inquired, "What's he so happy about?"

Penny shrugged, "I don't know. He seemed a little down after his game, even though his team won and he scored a run, so we stopped for ice cream on the way home. He perked up after we talked a little. Nothing to worry about, though."

Reaching the top of the stairs, Levi peeked into the first room he came to; finding the nursery empty, the seven-year-old continued his search for Amy. "Mom?" He asked, knocking on the partially open door of the master bedroom.

Amy looked up from her phone and waved the boy in. "Hi. Penny texted me you scored a point and your team won. I'm sorry I missed it."

"That's okay. You can see me play next year. I'll be even better. Maybe Sadie and Melissa can come, too." By now, Levi had joined Amy on the bed and was cozying up next to her. "I love you and I love Sadie and Melissa."

"Aw, we love you, too." Amy tucked her arm around him. "I was about to lie down while your sisters are sleeping. Do you want to stay with me and tell me all about your game? I heard you got ice cream on the way home. Did you get strawberry?"

"How did you know what I got?" Levi's jaw dropped in surprise at Amy's correct guess of his ice cream choice.

Squeezing his shoulder, Amy whispered, "A mother knows. Now, I want to hear all about your game."
