I own nothing
Jon lay in the bed in his chambers. He was shirtless Ghost laid near the foot of his bed. Sam was working on closing some of the stab wounds that were still very much there. Tormund was in the room talking with Jon about the battle that happened as he was dying. Vellella was also in the room helping Sam close other wounds. She was the only one that was truly getting on his nerves. Where Sam and Tormund treated him the same after his death and rebirth, she had taken to tell him he was Lord of Light chosen one or the Prince that was Promised. Before she would not even look at him.
Robb came into the room with Greywind clearing his throat. Causing Jon to look over to the doorway. Robb looked over to Vellella, Sam, and Tormund and meet each of their eyes. Vellella finished her stitches bowing to Robb before she exited, she looked over to Jon with a longing and desire.
"My wife needs you Vellella please see to her," Robb told her snapping her out of staring at Jon.
"Of course, my king, her time draws ever nearer," Vellella said.
Sam finished his stitch taking Tormund's arm. It was clear that did not catch Robb's meaning or if he did, he did not care. As they left the room, Greywind and Ghost had a reunion. Robb shut the door Ser Barristan took up guard outside the door. Robb and Jon looked at the wolves for a time.
"Robb, I'm no king," Jon said finally.
"I told Rae you would not take it. All the same, she said we had to offer it to you. I more so want to know what you like to be called," Robb explained.
"I always wanted to be a Stark…" Jon started. They both remembering their lives before the war. What either would not give to go back to those days. But life had taken so many turns, and at the same time, they would not change their decision for the world. Robb more so than Jon in that regard. But he did not regret his decision. "I would like to remain Jon Stark," Jon finished.
"It will be done, Jon Stark," Robb said coming to sit by his brother. They sat there in silence for a time. Jon and Robb smiled at each other. "The dragons are settling in with Rae. She told me to tell you they are yours to do with what you want," Robb told him.
Jon paused thinking about the dragons. He really had no clue how to raise them. He saw six of them flying overhead.
"I have no clue how to raise dragons. You and Raenera have done it so very well. Has she named them," Jon said.
"Her and Daenerys, her half-sister, and your aunt did. Right now, we have a baby ice dragon that Rae named Snowstorm. Rae also named the dark grey and sand-colored one Nightfyre. Daeny named sapphire and silver one Vhagar. Rae and Daeny named amethyst and blue one Meraxes. Daeny suggested naming him after Maester Aemon. But Rae said you may one day name your son that," Robb told him.
"I made vows to never father any child Robb" Jon argued.
"Those vows were made before you knew the truth. And those vows ended after they killed you" Robb argued back.
"Robb I am no Lord," Jon argued resigned to the fact he was not winning this argument.
"Yes, you are as of this day forward until you decided if you take those vows again. You are my heir to the throne in North until Torrhen comes of age. Rae would have the name Lord of Dragonstone. But I told her no. You don't belong in the south any more than I do. That's why I named you Lord of Dreadfort. The Bolton's betrayed me and now that house is extant. Most people who lived there are gone. The few that remained were those whose loyalty is to house Stark. It will be a place for you and wildlings to settle," Robb explained
"You are allowing them to stay in North," Jon asked shocked.
"Yes, I don't know everything Rae has seen but she is damn afraid of this coming winter, and a man she calls the Night King," Robb told him.
"She knows about them," Jon said in shock.
What that truly meant slowly sank in. She had seen things. Seven hells gods knew what she had seen. Did she have green sight or was this something different? Robb and Jon exchanged looks.
"That is why she ordered all people from the realm of men brought south of Wall without telling me before she did it. But don't worry about that now. Recover and in time, we will head back to Winterfell. I want you to meet Torrhen, Lilliyan, and Lyanna. You have to until then to make up your mind if you take your vows again or remain lord of Dreadfort," Robb told him.
"Thank you," Jon said knowing Robb was giving him time to think about it before forcing him to choose.
"You are welcome, you are my brother, no matter what. Do you want to know the name that Lyanna, your mother, gave you? Jaehaerys. If the baby in Rae is another son. We are going to name him Jaehaerys after you," Robb told him.
"Why did you and father tell me my name is Jon Targaryen," Jon asked confused.
Robb rubbed the back of his neck. He came back to the foot of the bed. He looked down they had considered telling him Jaehaerys was his name, but Rae had cautioned against it.
"That was Rae doing," Robb confessed. Jon looked ready to argue again. Robb paused for a moment trying to find the right words. "She wanted you to have a piece of you that remain unchanged. You see Raenera is her full name. Raena Stone or Raena Arryn is what she use to go by. Even Rae is shorted form of Raenera. She wanted you not to have all of this change thrust upon you," Robb finished.
Jon thought about it for a time. Her reason made sense. It was a logical decision. The only thing that made Jaehaerys and Jon the same was that both names started with the letter j.
Rae and Daeny were in her room in Castle Black. Starlight lay curled up by the fire. Rae was resting in a chair by the table in the room. There was a plate of cooked and raw meat sitting on the table. Daeny sat across the table from her. They were feeding the baby dragons. All of the babies minus the ice dragon were eating.
"Come on Snowstorm you have to eat" Daeny tried to feed him.
Snowstorm climbed off the table and up Rae's arm. Until he came to rest around Rae's neck. Rae petted his little head. Rae picked up a bloody tiny piece of raw meat bring it to his mouth. He took the raw meat in an instant. Rae smiled as he tried to get the blood off Rae's fingers.
"How?" Daeny asked.
"Robb, when Selaera, Rhaenys and Visenya were young. I tried to get them to eat raw meat they would not take it. He feed them a piece of cooked meat off our plates. They ate it so fast. I asked him the same question you did. He stated that if they won't eat raw meat, they must eat cooked meat. So, if Snowstorm will not eat cook meat, he must eat raw meat. In reality, it makes sense. I mean he breathes ice and cold meaning he would freeze the meat not cook it like the fire dragons. So, he needs to eat raw meat." Rae explained as she continued to feed the baby ice dragon raw meat.
Snowstorm stopped eating and started to doze on her shoulder and around her neck. She lovingly cooed at him. Nightfyre climbed off the table and started to curl up on her large baby bump. He was making little chirps and clicks to bump like he was talking to the baby inside. Vhagar and Meraxes moved closer to Rae as well. It was like they were now looking for a safe place to sleep. Meraxes and Vhagar curled up with Nightfyre on the bump. Daeny looked at them with a slightly hurt look. She quickly hid that fact. Part of her longed to be the mother figure to Nightfyre, Vhagar, and Meraxes. Her thought moved to Jon. If she married him those three would be hers.
"Have you given any thoughts to who Jon's wife will be?" Daeny started eating a piece of cooked meat. Rae gave Daeny a weary look. She had sinking feeling she knew where this was going. Even Starlight perked up at that question. The baby in Rae's belly kicked, causing Rae's hand to go to where the kick was at. "You know the Targaryens have married each other for eons," Daeny reasoned.
Rae regarded Daeny in shock. She could not believe what she just heard. She gave Daeny a look that said it all. Rae took a deep breath before returning to her gaze to Daeny.
"I would no sooner do that to him than I would do that to you, sister. I once promised you I wouldn't force your hand. Now you ask me to do that very thing to our nephew. I swore I wouldn't do that to you. I will not force his hand anymore than I can force yours!" Rae stated leaving no room for argument.
"But" Daeny started
"Now, don't get me wrong. If he chooses you. I will not stand in your way. But that matter is up to him not me." Rae explained.
Daeny started to come up with a plan to win Jon over. So he would choose her. So she and he would be King and Queen of Seven Kingdoms if her plan all worked. Her mind went back to Ser Jorah.
"Before, I left Winterfell on Drogon's back. I was with Ser Jorah. He knew something has happened at Wall. I have little doubt that Stark army will be here within the week or fortnight at the latest," Daeny told Rae.
"We will not be here in a week. As soon as Jon is stable enough to travel, we will leave. See if you can get a raven to Ser Jorah and army or Lord Umber to stop the army there. Robb is eager to have me in a castle with best maesters for the birth of our child." Rae explained.
"I'll do that" Daeny said.
Daenessa and Tyrion sat in the tower of Hand of King. They were having the noon meal. She wore a red halter top southern gown. It had gold rope holding the halter up with a golden lion where the fabric met the rope. The lion had amethyst eyes. Tyrion looked at her lovingly. She ate a bite of an apple. She looked at him lovingly. She took a sip of her golden wine. She licked her lips.
"How do you know so much my lordly lion?" Nessa asked.
"I drink and I know things. It's what I do, my dragon." Tyrion explained. Nessa smiled at him. They both took a drink of their arbor gold wine. She looked at him longingly. Tyrion noticed the look. He knew her worries and concerns. "I love you Daenessa Blackfyre or not. Bastard or noble. Marry me," Tyrion proposed to her.
Daenessa looked down. She was very saddened by the proposal. She wanted to accept so badly. But she knew as much as she wanted to, she couldn't. She let out a loud sigh.
"What would the Queen say to that?" Nessa asked.
Tyrion looked at her deeply. Their eyes locked. She bit the bottom lip. She looked down. Tyrion reaches across the table taking her hand. They met eyes again.
"You are not at fault for your ancestors any more than she at fault for Areys II and his madness. I'm sure she be pleased I found happiness. And in time come to care for you herself as she does care for me," Tyrion told her.
A pounding sounded at the door right as Nessa was about to answer his proposal. The moment was now gone. They broke apart. He squeezed her hand reassuringly.
"Enter" Tyrion yelled.
Lord Varys and Ser Markas entered the room. They both looked deeply worried. Tyrion sighed taking a drink of his wine. Lord Varys came to stand at end of the table. His arms were folded into his sleeves. Ser Markas held back by the door.
"What is it?" Tyrion asked.
"Lady Margaery is in labor," Ser Markas told him leaving quickly to head back to his post.
"A moon's turn early," Tyrion said in shock.
"It is worse," Lord Varys stated. Tyrion gave him a look, that read how. Nessa squeezed Tyrion's hand. Her eyes stayed locked on Lord Varys. "Grand Maester Davith has been delayed by about a week," Lord Varys told him.
"Call all midwives and lesser Maester to keep. We hope and pray that Grand Maester Davith get her quickly and in time," Tyrion ordered.
Lord Varys nodded. Tyrion thinks his friend left. He took a large drink of his wine turning his attention to Nessa. Her eyes linger on Lord Varys. Tyrion rubbed his chin and looked at Lord Varys.
"What?" Tyrion asked annoyed.
"Ravens have been intercepted Daenerys has called for Golden Company and the second sons. She's gearing up for a war," Lord Varys told him giving Tyrion a look.
Daenessa looked at Tyrion and Lord Varys. She knew in her mind what war Daenerys was preparing for. It had nothing to do with white walkers or the great other. It had everything to do with power. She saw it in the way she looked at Raenera before they left Winterfell. Her mind went to her siblings; Daemon, who was a commander of the Golden Company, Jaerys, a member of Daenerys second sons, Eraella wife of one Triarch of Volantis, Vaera wife of a powerful merchant in Braavos, and her baby sister Alyna who now went by Asavvi when she married a Dotharaki Khal Jhaqo. She knew Daenerys may not know the game, but she did. Tyrion and Varys may think her naïve, but she was anything but naïve. She would send them a letter later today. Lord Varys caught a cunning look in Daenessa's eyes. But quickly as it was there it was gone in an instant it reminded him of Rae when Robert was alive.
"Send a raven to the North and High Garden informing them that lady Margaery is in labor. To expect the child as soon as the baby is able to travel," Tyrion stated.
Lord Varys stared at Daenessa for a long moment, and she regarded him before she lovingly squeezed Tyrion's hand. He smiled over at her. He brought their joined hand to his mouth kiss the top of her hand. Lord Varys bowed slightly to Tyrion as they left.
Rae stood on top of the Wall overlooking the Land of Always Winter. She watched the dragons circling overhead. She felt her belly contract for the first time. She placed her hand on the top of her bump rubbing it lovingly. Ser Barristan stood by her side along with Velella who had been glued to her side since Robb called her to Rae's side.
"Your Grace," Sam said coming up to her.
"Hello Sam," Rae greeted.
"You wanted to see me," Sam said coming to stand next to her.
She looked out on the land; her eyes went to the dragons circling overhead. The tightening in her belly and pain in her back left little doubt in her mind she was in labor. She pulled her cloak closer to her body.
"Yes, Evalyne is excited to see you. And for you to meet your nieces. When we reach Winterfell, she will be overjoyed to see you," Rae spoke.
"I'm coming with you," Sam asked confused.
"Well, the Wall does need a new Maester," Rae started. She moved closer to the edge as Selaera flew closer to her mother. Sam had never seen a dragon up close. She nodded her head for Sam to move closer to her. Sam nodded at her moving over to Selaera. He placed his hand on the scaled neck of Selaera. Selaera looked at her mother with knowing eyes. She was definitely a true dragon queen. Rae shifted as pain and tightened happened again. Other than the slight shift she made outward signs of pain. "On to my point, Evalyne told me the story of you coming to the Wall. Tell me, Sam, were you forced to make your vows?" Rae asked.
"No more than any other man here," Sam answered removing his hand from the dragon.
He stared at her in shock. She tilted her head as regarded him. She looked over to Ser Barristan. He had a ghost of a smile on his face when he realized the game that Raenera was playing. This was like something that Rhaegar would do. Selaera flew off dancing with Drogon and Visenya. Rhaegal and Rhaenys dance in beautiful dance above the Wall. Viserion joined Visenya in dance as Selaera rejoined.
"Hardly, rapers have the choice between the Black and the knife. Other criminals take the Black to avoid other punishments for their crimes. Orphans come hoping for a better life. Are hardly the choice you were given between the Black and death. Killed by your own father's hand in a hunting accident. At least it is what he would have claimed. I know your father, as you know your father. You believe his words like I too believe his words. Any sane man given those choices would choose the Wall," Rae said. Sam looked at her in shock. Her eyes lifted skyward. He remembered writing to his sister after he came here. He knew his letter likely was not given to her by their father. It was only after Evalyne started serving Raenera did he start getting letters from Evalyne. Rae looked back at him. He looked like he was not sure how to respond. "In other words, I'll support you if you choose not to return to the wall once you are a Maester," Rae finished.
"I made vows" Sam argued.
"But what will happen to Gilly and her son. After someone else is the Lord Commander of Night Watch. Jon's vows are broken," Rae reasoned.
"I will think about it," Sam replied.
"That is all I ask," Rae looked out beyond the Wall. Her mind went to where Gilly was from. Questions plagued her mind something about her. Sam turned to walk away from her. Leaving Rae to her thoughts. "Sam, I would like to meet her," Rae stated.
Sam turned to look back at her. She and he locked eyes for a moment.
"Your Grace," Sam said.
Lady Valaena came to Jon's room. He sat on the bed dressed. He looked up as she entered. Ghost laid by his side. He raised his head to look at her. Unlike Vellella, who as soon as she entered Ghost would growl, but when Lady Val entered any time in past weeks Ghost would just raise his head then put his head back down.
"Lady Valaena," Jon greeted.
"How are you feeling today Jon," Lady Val asked moving to sit on the chair by his side.
"As well as I can be under the circumstances," Jon said trying to sit up.
Lady Valaena and Jon had developed a great friendship. The part was because she treated him no different than any other man. She smiled at him her amber eyes lighting up. He returned to the smile.
"I understand. Do you feel up for a walk today? The Sooner we get you walking sooner we can head toward Last Hearth," Lady Valaena said petting Ghost's head.
Jon went to get up Lady Val instantly supported his back. There was a genuine look of concern on her beautiful face. Her amber eyes met his dark eyes. She looked down as her hand brushed his bare skin as his shirt rode up. His hand brushed her chin making her look at him. Ghost looked in between the pair.
Rae still stood by the flames on the top of the Wall. She watched the six full-grown dragons dancing overhead. Daeny had joined her. She looked up at them a smiled. Rae's belly tightens again. Her mind went to Robb, Ned, and Jon. He had overheard Ned and Robb talking about the progress Jon was making. They hoped he would be able to travel Last Hearth in the coming days. Her labor pains were sporadic, she had not to alert anyone that she was in labor. Daeny looked over to Rae. She seemed like she was lost in thought. Daeny hugged her sister, and head back toward the courtyard in the hope of getting closer to Jon. Ser Barristan moved closer to Rae sensing her unease. She looked over at him as the snow started to fall.
"Your Grace," Sam and Ser Barristan said at the same time.
Rae looked at both of them. Her eyes then fell on the young woman holding a young toddler about the same age as her own children. She let her real smile show as she looked at the young woman. Gilly looked uneasy. This was the dragon queen. She had heard the stories about her. She was so unsure why Raenera wanted to meet her.
"Your Grace, this is Gilly as you requested," Sam said.
"Thank you, Sam," Rae said motioning for Gilly to come closer.
Gilly looked at Sam unsure and with an unease look on her face. She looked to Ser Barristan and Vellella who stood by the dragon queen. She was still in shock that she requested to meet her. She shifted little Sam in her arms. Gilly swore she saw something in Rae's eyes. Rae shifted as another pain came. Sam went to take little Sam from Gilly. Rae turned giving them a gentle smile.
"He can stay Samwell. He reminds me of my son," Rae said softly.
Little Sam looked up at the dragon in the sky. They seem to circle and dance behind Rae. This side of Rae, Sam never saw. This was the side that earned her the title of the people queen and The Mother come to life. Little Sam wanted down Gilly reluctantly put him on the ground. He toddled over to Rae. Amethyst eyes of Rae met Gilly's brown eyes as Rae picked up the young boy. Rae started to tickle the little boy's side. Causing the boy, they let out infectious giggles. Sam and Gilly exchange looks. Gilly moved closer to Rae. Sam departed leaving them alone. Rae's eyes followed the boy's gaze. She smiled and moved closer to the edge.
"Torrhen is the same, Rhaenys" Rae laughed then called for her gentlest dragon. Gilly looked in horror as a fully grown purple dragon flew down to her mother. Rae let Little Sam pat the dragon. Rae looked over to Gilly. "You can touch her. I promise you no harm will come to you or your child in my presence," Rae reassured.
Gilly hesitantly reaches out and the dragon head. Rae smiled as Gilly started to become more at ease.
"This is Rhaenys she is the gentlest of larger dragons. Do you want to meet the smallest dragons," Rae asked more so Little Sam.
Little Sam gave her a huge smile and happily nodded his head. Rae handed Little Sam back to Gilly. They head back to the lift to take them down to Rae and Robb's Room. Starlight brushed against Rae's leg. Her eyes met her mistress's eyes. It was as if she could sense what was wrong with Raenera.
On the way down on the lift, they stood in silence. As they got the to the apron of the Castle Black. Rae's eyes followed Lady Val and Jon walking through the courtyard. He was getting better. The tighten in Rae's happened again. This time it came with pain in her back. Her hand went to rub her back. Her eyes watched Robb and Ned talking with Daeny. She noted how Daeny eyes were locked on Jon longingly. There was a fire in her eyes as she regarded Lady Val. Jon laughs at something Lady Val said. A ghost of a smile played across Rae's face at the scene. Then was quickly replaced by a frown as her eyes locked with Robb's eyes. There was a concerned and worried look on his face. He knew it was only a matter of time before Rae would go into labor and there was no Maester at Castle Black. He was not willing to risk her but at the same time, he did not want to risk his brother's life. He was in a rock and hard place. She mouthed I'm Fine to Robb before turning back to Gilly and Little Sam. Little Sam was talking excitedly about dragons to his mother.
"So you are from beyond the Wall right," Rae asked trying not to think about being in labor.
"Yes," Gilly answered.
Snow started to fall at an increasing rate. They head inside towards Rae's and Robb's chambers. As they spoke Gilly slowly became more at ease with Raenera. That was when she noticed that the queen was showing signs of being in labor. It was right as Edd opened the door for them to pass.
"You're in labor" Gilly gasped in shock.
"How," Rae asked not denying it.
Edd took off towards the courtyard. A worried look was clear on his face. Rae paid no mind to Edd. She now knew it was a matter of hours before they would be at Last Hearth.
"My sisters, you see from the time we first bleed my father would force himself on us. Thus, making us his wives. The way I grew up I can pick up on the early signs" Gilly answered.
"What about your brothers," Rae asked. Gilly grew quiet. She looked down. That would make Little Sam her brother and her son at the same time. Rae placed her hand on Gilly's shoulder as they walked. Causing Gilly to look at Rae. "Surely, he made more sons than little Sam?" Rae questioned reassuringly.
"That's why I'm here. You see my father after a boy was born. He would take the baby from its mother and take it wilderness. Then leave the baby for dead. My sisters and I were in agreement, it was an agreement between the white walkers and my father," Gilly told her.
Rae sighed as they reached her chambers. She sank down into a chair. Gilly rushed over to her side worried. Snowstorm flew over to her climbing up her arm and around her neck making little clicks as he did so. Little Sam placed on the ground ran over to the bed where Meraxes, Vhagar, and Nightfyre sleeping in a curled-up ball.
A flash of a baby being picked up by Nights King as a finger touched the baby's face. The human blue eyes went to inhuman blue as his pale skin went pale blue.
Rae shook her head as she went paled. Gilly and Rae's eyes met as Robb came into the room concern clear on his face.
"Rae," Robb started worry clear in his voice.
Sansa sat in garden of Highgarden. She was dressed in a rich green velvet warmer southern style gown. She was sewing golden roses and direwolves onto a baby blanket. The child in her belly kicked causing her to place her hand on her belly. She was attended by Avyana, wearing a golden gown with red apples on the bodice, Maryska, in a dark blue gown, and Jasmyn in a dark green gown. Leonette was sitting near her sister. They were working on baby clothes for Sansa's child. Lady Alerie and Lady Olenna both dressed in mourning clothes were also sitting with the group of women. The tree in the garden had gone from rich green to fall colors of orange, golden, and purple. Winter sat by Sansa's feet.
Willas came up to the group with two letters in his hands. It caused all the women to look up. Sansa looked lovingly at her husband. He walked over kissing her softly. His hand traveled to the bump.
"What is Willas" Sansa asked.
"Margaery is labor," Willas started. He looked over to Leonette. He sighed looking over at his mother and grandmother. "I have sent Garlan to bring the baby back to Highgarden with a nurse," Willas said
Leonette nodded it was for the best. She knew Willas would not abandon his post with Sansa with child and Reach in full harvest mode. Lady Olenna noted there was more to her grandson's look.
"Willas what else happen," Lady Olenna asked.
"Winter is Here a white raven arrived from the Citadel," Willas said.
Night had fallen in King's Landing. Daenessa made her way back to the Red Keep. She pulled the cloak closer to her body. She prayed she did the right thing. Lord Varys came up to her.
"Daenessa isn't it," Lord Varys started. She looked at him. Their eyes locked with each other. Her lip twisted into a frown. "Tell me where are coming back from at this time of night," Lord Varys asked.
"Receiving letters " Daenessa replied as they moved together toward the Red Keep.
"from whom," Lord Varys asked.
"Well, there from Jaerys. Then there was a raven from Eraella Vhassar and Vaera Vollel. And final one had to letters one from Daemon and other from Alyna or as she goes by now Asavvi," Daenessa replied not ashamed of what she has done.
"Vhassar, Vollel, as in Orella Vollel and Melirah Vhassar," Lord Varys asked in shock.
"You really didn't think I was the first Blackfyre to try to get the throne back," Daenessa laughed. She smiled shaking her head. Lord Varys caught her meaning quickly caught up with her linking arms with her. "But I gave up on the dream when I fell for Tyrion. I do truly love Tyrion that is why I haven't accepted his proposal until he has Queen Raenera's blessing," Daenessa said.
"Then why did you write I'm assuming your siblings," Lord Varys asked.
"You said it yourself Daenerys is planning a war. Jaerys is in the Second Sons her second sons. Daemon is one of the Commanders of the Golden Company. Eraella's husband is one Triarches of Volantis with vase wealth. Vaera is the wife of a merchant with great ties to the Iron Bank. Finally, Daenerys claims to be Khalessi of Great Grass sea does she not," Nessa started. She waited for Lord Varys to nod. "Asavvi is the first wife of Khal Jhaqo and has borne him three sons, Kaffo, Assollo, and Virsallo. A Khalessi place after a Khal death is in Dosh Khaleen in Vaes Dothrak. It is the duty of blood riders to bring Khalessi to Vaes Dothrak to Dosh Khaleen as my sister Asavvi knows this it may be the only thing to bring khalasar with across the great salt waters." Daenessa told him.
Lord Varys' mind thought of everything she said. As his mind came to clear meaning behind Daenessa's moves. It couldn't be, could it?
"You did it for Queen Raenera," Lord Varys said in shock.
"Why is that so shocking Lord Varys," Daenessa said walking into the throne room of Red Keep.
They stood in front of the iron throne in the throne room. They both looked at as cries of Margaery in labor echoed through the halls. She had been in labor for three days now. As each hour passes the concern for her and the fate of the child grew even more pressing. Lady Margaery may be facing a trial by combat and gods would decide her fate. A gold cloak ran up and headed toward the Tower of Hand.
"Something has happened," Daenessa said.
"Yes," Lord Varys said
Moments later, one of his spies a maid walked up to him. She whispered in his ear. His eyes went wide. His eyes along went to the throne. Daenessa looked at him but followed his gaze. The maid quickly left.
"What is it," Nessa asked.
"Queen Raenera is in labor and has been for days. And Winter is here" Lord Varys said.
Jon, Ned, and Robb along with Smalljon and Greatjon Umber stood by the Hearttree in Last Hearth. It was the only place where they could not hear the cries of Raenera. They were all in silent prayer. Robb's only positive thought was she was attended by Maester Snow and Lady Val, Vellella, and Daenerys. Most of them had some healing knowledge or had gone through labor themselves. Greywind and Starlight stood on either side of him giving him support. The dragons circled overhead. The birthing room was Lilliyan Umber's old room. Snowstorm refused to say with his siblings and instead lay sleeping about Robb's neck. Jon came over placing his hand on Robb's shoulder.
"She will make it," Jon said reassuringly.
"The Gods have smiled on her before, I see no reason that they will not smile on her now," Greatjon Stated.
Robb turned to Jon. They met eyes. Tears were glazing Robb's eyes. He did not want to think about losing his wife but with each passing hour, that threat grew. He thought the triplets' birth was hard. This had to be what the Seven Hells was like. A soldier quickly came to the group of men.
"What is it?" Greatjon shouted.
"A white raven arrived from the Citadel," the soldier stated. Greatjon and Ned exchange a look. The meaning sank into their minds. The sound of silence echoed through the group. The group all knew what it meant. "Winter is here," The Soldier said quickly leaving them.
The group fell back into silence. Robb placed his hand on Jon's shoulder as their eyes locked on the heart tree with its blooding eyes.
"Most assume that if anything would befall Rae before Torrhen is of age. That Daenerys would be named regent. But that not who she named," Robb started.
Daeny came up to the group with happiness on her face for Raenera had given birth to a healthy baby boy and mother and child were both fine. She paused when she heard her own name.
"Who," Jon asked.
"You, she named you," Robb told him.
Ned spotted Daeny as she steeled her spine as made her way to the group. There was an unhappy look in Daeny eyes that Ned caught.
"Your Grace, you have another son. Mother and Child are fine," Daeny said formally.
Tyrion and Daenessa sat by the fire in Tower of hand. They were both dressed for bed. The cries of Margaery had stopped. Ser Markas busted into the room. They both turned and looked.
"Lady Margaery gave birth to a daughter, she has named Delyah. The baby is healthy but the mother started to bleed uncontrollably after the birth. The Maester and midwives have done all they could but…" Ser Markas started.
Tyrion caught the meaning without needing it explained. It seemed that gods had decided Margaery's fate. In many ways was a blessing and curse that she had died by a twist of fate.
I hope you like this chapter.
