Without realizing I must of dozed off to sleep when i woke up it was dark outside the window and Charlotte along with the pie and bag were gone. I sit up and rub the tiredness out of my eyes. I grab my tablet and head back into the base. I head to the gym to work off the pie i had earlier in the day. The gym was empty, i set my tablet in the holder and after stretching out I hop on the treadmill getting some cardio in.

My mind wonders as i work out, I stop running after two miles and grab a pair of gloves from the table and head to the bench press. Unable to keep my mind from thinking about James I lift out my frustration. I lifted until i couldn't get the bar up again letting the safety bars catch the bar and i slid out of under it just out of breath and covered in sweat. I re-rack the weights and head to the table dropping off my gloves and grabbing a water along with my tablet then heading out to my room.

I finish the water on the way to my room, tossing it into a trash can that was in the hallway. After i get to my room i toss my tablet onto my bed and take my clothes off, tossing them in the hamper before getting in the shower.

I let the water run down me feeling my sweat being washed off of me. I grab some soap and rinse down properly washing my hair deeply. Getting out of the shower i wrap the towel around my waist and walk out into my room. I grab some boxers and shorts from the closet and slip them on using the towel to dry my hair.

I grab my tablet and hop into bed. Not quite tired i look over the plans of buildings they wanted to add to the base to make it more comfortable. It looks like we are adding another bedroom wing as well as a surgical room. I look over onto other tab and see what task i am given and it is completely empty.

I refresh the page and see *Unable to give tasks until section H8 is complete.* I go back looking at the map and see the surgical room to be listed as H8. I want to be of more use to everyone in the base. I send Richard a quick message asking to give me some more work. I look at the departments and see which ones need the most help, it looks like the building of new areas and mechanical department are in the most need. From the time crunch building the second cyclops i was needed to help.

I didn't find it super challenging due to staying fit and being young, but I could stand to learn a lot more about the field if I plan to be any help. James would talk a lot about his work excited about how he got to build a lot of new things. I want to be able to help out in as many ways i can. I put the tablet in the wall holder and decide to get some more rest.

My alarm goes off at 6:30 i get up grabbing some nicer black shorts and a white short sleeve button up. I leave the top two buttons undone. I run my hand through my hair as i grab my tablet checking if it looks good in the mirror. I grab some black shoes tying them and then heading out to the dining hall. There were people sitting all around the dining hall with 3 lines of people still grabbing food. I hop into a line behind an older couple and grab the grits and biscuits from the serving table putting them onto my plate. I grab a seat near some other medics who are having a conversation.

I eat while they discuss what their lives were back on Earth, Richard comes behind me and pulls me away from the table. I excuse myself from the conversation, I put my now empty tray in the dirty pile before following Richard out into the hallway. "I hear you want to start helping more on the base" He states while walking, me catching up and walking beside him and nodding. "If you are feeling bored we can get you on some sorting jobs or even.." He stops looking over at me seeing the disapproval in my face.

"But i guess that isn't enough for you" He turns back forward walking again. " I have more than basic knowledge in mechanics I not only helped make the first cyclops but was a huge part of the second one and all of those long nights talking with James i know i can be of more help" I say turning into another hallway still following behind him.

"If anything bad were to happen then we risk losing our best surgeon." He says opening the door to his office. We both walk inside, having the door close behind us. "I was a kid before i was a surgeon, I know what can mess up my hands and i know how to avoid such stuff. I wont risk losing my skill to help out but i can't sit around and do nothing either. You will be wasting time of one of your more knowledgeable mechanics that has hands-on experience if you don't let me do this." I explain my hands on the back of one of the chairs on the other side the desk he is sitting behind.

After a moment of silence. "Fine" he said sighing after and meeting my eyes. After thanking him he waves me off. I leave the office and head to the library. I head to the Mechanic section and start grabbing some books. After grabbing a few i run into who was on the other side looking at a book about depth resistance.

"Trying to get into mechanics?" He asks looking at my stack of books. "Yeah i just want to be able to help out some more around here and i wasn't to bad at it when we were working on the cyclops" I say shrugging. He puts his book back on the shelf and takes a closer look at some of the books I grabbed.

"This one is way to confusing even to someone who knows what they are doing" He says grabbing the top book from me and putting it under his arm. "This one is a good one" he moves to grab the third one from the stack. "Oh definitely not" he takes another one of them and puts it under his arm. "The rest look like good refreshers and a few in there might even teach you a thing or two" He says handing me back the two books he took before. "Thank you Mr.A-". "Just call me Will" He says with a slight smile on his face."Will, thank you will" I say standing a little straighter.

He nods to me then checks his watch. He gives me a little rub on the top of my head before saying goodbye and heading out. I put away the two books he picked out of my stack and headed to the front. A girl with long black hair was at the front playing on her tablet when i walked up. "Hey i just want to check out these books." I say setting the books on the counter. She looks up at me giving me a once over then back to her tablet. She reaches under the counter and grabs a scanner gun and lays it on the table in front of me.

I chuckle at the action and start scanning my books, two books in Caleb walks up and smacks the back of the girls head making me stop. "Do your task! You were given this because you wouldn't do the data entries you were tasked with" He says taking the tablet away.

She puts on a pouty face and rubs her head and looks over at me before back at Caleb. I scan the rest of my books quickly and the girl in front of me types a few things in the pc in front of her and then makes eye contact with me.

"Name?" Before i can answer Caleb answers for me. "You know of me?" I ask confused since it was our first official meeting. "Well i think everyone knows of you the famous surgeon that wanted to be on the Aurora… but i know you from my brother, he would send videos explaining fun times you guys had together and he sent me way to many pictures i'm sure would ruin your pristine image" He said the last part with a smile on his face.

Taking a deeper look at him his eyes were red and he looks absolutely exhausted. "I'm glad that's the me you got to learn, i would love to meet up sometime and correct somethings i'm sure you've heard that were incorrect" I say grabbing my books from the counter.

"I would love that" He said a wider smile now on his face. With a nod to them both I was off. I spent the rest of the day in my room going over the books and making notes of things i was struggling with learning so i could ask Will about them or try to find another book to explain them better.

I fell asleep on my bed with my pen in my hand and my notebook and textbooks in my lap. I wake up stiff and uncomfortable, closing my textbooks i set them next to my bed and get up rubbing the stiffness out of it. I grab some blue jeans and a black t shirt. I slip on some comfortable black shoes and socks and head off to my first day. I get a quick light breakfast, looking over my task while i eat. I am one of the first ones out of the dining hall. I first focus on simple repairs. Unpowered outlet over there and a missing panel of the wall here. I fixed most of the easy fixes in the time before lunch.

I get a message when fixing a closet that was jammed. Quickly finishing up my task then i check my message. It's from Caleb he has invited me to hang out during lunch break. I rush to finish my next task and jog off to the dining room making sure not to be late. Not aware of how dirty i was going to be working on such simple fixes i have to take a stop at the bathroom in the hallway and wash down my hands. I head over to the dining hall grabbing a sandwich and water and looking around for Caleb.

I see an arm being waved and look over to see Caleb sitting with his parents the girl from the library and an older man i didn't recognize. I head that way and sit down across from the girl and next to . Giving them a nod when i sit down. They are talking about making a new floor where the materials gathered from the cyclops are attached to tubes automatically and sorted into the correct place for easier use.

Due to that being a heavy thing they are discussing what to put on the other side to balance it all out to keep the whole base more stable and not risk any chance of the base falling apart. The older man i didn't recognize pulls out a list while we are talking and writes down different combinations of what can weigh what in what area.

Caleb and Will grab the paper looking it over and marking things out for different reasons and then writing the reason next to it as to not forget when they go over this again.

While i listen in to their conversation trying to keep up i feel a stare from my side. I glace over to see a familiar hat on a very familiar girl. I see her turn quickly and face back toward her table making me smile.

I turn back toward my table hiding my smile with my hands. Feeling the stare once again my smile grows wider. When the lunch bell rang we all headed our separate ways.
