Hawkeye and Margaret walked to the mess tent; their arms around each other. Casablanca flickered on the screen. Hawkeye slid onto the seat and Margaret
squeezed his hand. Minutes later she returned with two bags of popcorn, handing him one.
Hawkeye kissed her cheek. "Thanks, Margaret."
"Don't be so melodramatic, Pierce. It's just popcorn."
"Actually it's much more than popcorn."
She smiled, grateful that he couldn't see her blush in the darkness. And it was then that she realized she was still holding his hand.
