Chapter 3 Old Poké Pal and the new
As everyone was on board the Zillion Volt Ketchum airship, Yamato Naoe checks out his first earned Stone Badge. He shares it with his Slowpoke Yadon and Karin was once actual Hermit Crabs and then Mewtwo turns them both into Slowpoke. As he looked at Yadon and Karin as Slowpokes, Yamato Naoe thought about the battle he had with Roxanne. Soon then he along with his Slowpokes came to Ash Ketchum for help to get both of his Slowpokes stronger. Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu agrees to train with Yamato Naoe with his Slowpokes, and they go to the training field. As they were training, Yamato Naoe asked Ash Ketchum how he would reach both of his Slowpoke full potential. As Ash Ketchum was about to say, Jin Mazama, who suddenly appeared, told Yamato Naoe about evolving both of his Slowpokes.
Jin Mazama tells Yamato Naoe to check on his Pokédex and Yamato looks into the Pokédex. As he looked into his Pokédex, Yamato Naoe found out that Slowpoke can evolve into either a Slowbro or with holding a King's Rock can evolve into a Slowking. He also found out that there are regional forms that are in the Galar region. Yamato Naoe thought about it and he decided to work hard with his Pokémon Slowpokes Yadon and Karin to evolve. But he postponed going to the Galar region after they had found their fellow Anime Harem Male Protagonists. Yamato Naoe asks how Slowbro got the weird looking shell on its tail. Ash Ketchum replies that the weird looking shell was a Pokémon Shellder.
Yamato Naoe thought that he needed to get two Shellders to latch on to both of his Slowpoke's tails and will evolve into Slowbro. Jin Mazama mentions to Yamato Naoe that he can also evolve either one of his Slowpoke into a Slowking. Yamato Naoe thought deeply about it, when Ash Ketchum told Jin Mazama that it was between Yamato Naoe and his Slowpoke Yadon and Karin choice. Yamato Naoe said to Ash Ketchum and Jin Mazama that he will discuss the matter with Slowpokes Yadon and Karin. Ash Ketchum and Jin Mazama both agree with his decision. Soon then Kizuna Hida announced that they had somehow arrived at the Unova Region. So they landed in the Unova region to find if any Anime Harem Male Protagonists were there.
Ash Ketchum discusses with Yamato Naoe and the others, who will go searching with him and the others stay and watch the airship. After they had many ideal and truthful conversations, Jin Mazama, since he had more experience before the others landed, concluded with Ash Ketchum. Ash Ketchum decided that Yamato Naoe, Keita Suminoe, Mukai Naoya and Jin Mazama will join him on the search. Raku Ichijo, Basara Toujou, Kizuna Hida and their Pokémon watch the airship and the Pokémon. As everyone made an agreement with making a deal to switch roles as the guide, so Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu and the others with their Pokémon partners on searching in the Unova Region. Ash Ketchum along with his Pikachu, Yamato Naoe and the others with their Pokémon went searching through cities, towns and routes to search for any Harem Male Protagonists that had crash landed in the Unova Region. As they split up and had searched nearly everywhere and then soon regrouped back, neither Ash Ketchum nor anyone had found a single Anime Harem Male Protagonist.
When they decided to go back to the airship, Ash Ketchum said that they shouldn't give up. While Jin Mazama said that they should get help from Raku Ichijo, Basara Toujou or Kizuna Hida back at the airship, they are soon encountered by a mysterious cloaked figure. As the mysterious cloaked figure approached them to scare them off, Ash Ketchum told his Pikachu to use Thunderbolt on it. But Yamato Naoe told him to stop and Yamato Naoe asked the mysterious cloaked figure who it was. Soon the mysterious cloaked figure soon realizes that it was Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu, he reveals himself to be Akuto Sai which Ash Ketchum, Yamato Naoe and Keita Suminoe had a friendly reunion. Soon after Ash Ketchum introduces Akuto Sai to Jin Mazama and Mukai Naoya, Yamato Naoe asks Akuto Sai what he has been doing since he landed in the Pokémon World. Akuto Sai told them about what he did when they were escorting him back to their airship.
But soon Ash Ketchum's Pikachu soon heard a Pokémon in distress. Ash Ketchum and the others with their Pokémon all followed Ash Ketchum's Pikachu to where the noise was coming from. They soon found an injured Deino in the forest and Jin Mazama speculated that the wild Deino was trying to reach for berries to eat. Ash Ketchum attempted to carry the wild Deino but the wild Deino was defensive towards him. As Jin Mazama tries to convince the wild Deino that they wanted to help him, the others try as well but they fail. Yamato Naoe asks everyone for any ideas but soon Ash Ketchum asks Yamato Naoe to let Akuto Sai try to help the injured wild Deino. Everyone agrees and Akuto Sai tries to approach the wild injured Deino.
As Akuto Sai approached the injured wild Deino, he assures him that he didn't have to be defensive by acting viciously towards him. Akuto Sai reassures the injured wild Deino to trust him and the injured wild Deino trusts Akuto Sai. Soon then as Akuto Sai carries the injured wild Deino in his arms and rushes toward the Zillion Volt Ketchum Airship. There Jin Mazama treated the injured wild Deino but the Deino didn't trust Jin Mazama for treatment. Akuto Sai reassures him to trust Jin Mazama and that he is right by his side. As Akuto Sai had calmed the wild Deino down and Jin Mazama treated it. After the treatment was over, Jin Mazama told Akuto Sai to escort him to the Pokémon conservation area. Akuto Sai didn't know how to get to the Pokémon conservation and Ash Ketchum and Yamato Naoe lead him there.
When they had got to the Pokémon conservation, Akuto Sai was amazed at so many different Pokémon around. Ash Ketchum's Pikachu invites the wild Deino to the Pokémon but the wild Deino gives Ash's Pikachu the cold shoulder. The wild Deino walked away from any Pokémon and Yamato Naoe stopped him. As Yamato Naoe and Ash Ketchum tried to talk to the wild Deino, he even gave them the colder shoulder too. Ash Ketchum asks Akuto Sai to talk to him and Akuto Sai asks why he must talk to the wild Deino. Ash Ketchum told Akuto Sai that the wild Deino was hardened toward anyone but he was comfortable around Akuto Sai. Akuto Sai wasn't so sure and Yamato Naoe encouraged him.
So Akuto Sai spends time with the wild Deino while Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu, Yamato Naoe and his Pokémon Slowpoke watch them from a distance. As he tries to talk to the wild Deino, Akuto Sai suddenly recognizes himself. Akuto Sai then told the wild Deino about his experience in Constant Magick Academy and he can correlate it with the wild Deino. Akuto Sai said that the wild Deino must be lonely and Akuto Sai comforts him. The wild Deino was touched by Akuto Sai's story and was open to Akuto Sai. So Akuto Sai helped the wild Deino to interact with Pokémon and Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu and Yamato Naoe with his Slowpoke Yadon and Karin. Slowly but surely, with Akuto Sai supporting him to socialize with others, the wild Deino opened up with others.
When Ash Ketchum's tummy rumbles, Raku Ichijo, who came just in time, brought out Pokémon food for the Pokémon. He also brought food for Ash Ketchum, his Pikachu and the others since it was lunch time. So everyone was eating beside each other and Deino came beside Akuto Sai. As Akuto Sai pats on the wild Deino, soon Kizuna Hida announces to everyone on board that they have arrived at the Kalos region. Kizuna Hida has landed the airship at a safe and distant place, Yamato Naoe and Ash Ketchum both discuss with everyone who will go out on the search and who will stay and watch the airship. As Jin Mazama was about to finish with his suggestions, Akuto Sai voluntarily wanted to go on the search. So Ash Ketchum, Pikachu, Yamato Naoe, Basara Toujou, Raku Ichijo, Kizuna Hida and Akuto Sai went out and searched in the Kalos region.
As their Pokémon partners follow them, the wild Deino follow Akuto Sai unbeknown to Akuto Sai. When Yamato Naoe discusses the plan with everyone, Ash Ketchum's Pikachu detects with his ear that something was following them. As everyone prepares, the wild Deino jumps up at Akuto Sai. Ash Ketchum asks Akuto Sai that the wild Deino wants Akuto Sai to be his Pokémon partner. Akuto Sai wasn't sure if he wanted to be a Pokémon trainer by catching the wild Deino. As the wild Deino was disappointed, a mysterious boy was running and screaming. He soon bumps into Yamato Naoe and then tells them some ghosts were chasing him.
First, Yamato Naoe asks who he was and he quickly introduces himself as Nariyuki Yuiga. Soon Ash Ketchum's Pikachu sensed that there was something coming towards them. Then a group of Phantump appeared to them and Yamato Naoe asked Kizuna Hida for information about them. As Kizuna Hida gives the information about Phantump, the Phantumps used Forest's Curse to trap everyone except for Akuto Sai and his Deino. Ash Ketchum told Akuto Sai that he must use Deino and Akuto Sai asked why out of confusion. Kizuna Hida told Akuto Sai that Deino is a Dark/Dragon Type and Phantumps are Ghost/Grass type. He continues to explain to him that Ghost types are weak to Dark types Pokémon and Akuto Sai understood it.
Akuto Sai asks the wild Deino for help and the wild Deino refuses his help. Akuto Sai apologies to the wild Deino and then the wild Deino accepts to help Akuto Sai to free the others and fight off the Phantumps. But as he was ready to battle with the wild Deino, Akuto Sai didn't know the moves Deino could use. Kizuna Hida told Akuto Sai Deino's moves are Bite, Dragon Breathe, Dark Pulse and Headbutt. So then as he understood, Akuto Sai told the wild Deino to use Bite on the Forest's Curse to free the others. After the wild Deino had bitten the Forest's Curse Akuto Sai turned his attention to the Phantump. He told the wild Deino to use Dark Pulse on all the Phantumps by a direct hit.
As the Phantump were all fainted, Akuto Sai felt thrilled and embraced the wild Deino. But then Akuto Sai suddenly realized he was hugging the wild Deino and awkwardly drew back. Soon then a Trevenant appeared in the forest to Akuto Sai and the wild Deino. So then Akuto Sai told the wild Deino to use Headbutt on the Trevenant. But as the wild Deino was about to use Headbutt on the Trevenant, the Trevenant used Wood Hammer to knock the wild Deino down. Akuto Sai aids the wild Deino with concern if he is alright. As Soon as the wild Deino had gotten up, the Trevenant snatched up Akuto Sai with one of its claw-like fingers.
As the wild Deino heard Akuto Sai was grasped by the Trevenant, he saved him by using Headbutt directly on the Trevenant. The Trevenant drop Akuto Sai and Basara Toujou, Yamato Naoe and Kizuna Hida caught him placing a shrub underneath him. Akuto Sai got up and told the wild Deino to use Dragon Breathe on the Trevenant. As the wild Deino used Dragon Breathe directly on the Trevenant but did little effects. Then the Trevenant used Shadow Claw and Akuto Sai told the wild Deino to dodge the attack. Akuto Sai told wild Deino to use Dragon Breathe again but the Trevenant used Hex. As the Hex move did little effect on the wild Deino but it caused him to accidentally swallow the Dragon Breathe.
As everyone was surprised, the wild Deino was surrounded by a Catalina Blue aura. Soon then the wild Deino fires a multicolored dragon-shaped beam of energy out from his mouth at the Trevenant. It directly hit the Trevenant and everyone was surprised, even Akuto Sai was surprised. Akuto Sai asked what Pokémon move was that and Kizuna Hida responded that it was Dragon Pulse. But soon the Trevenant struggled to get back up and everyone was confused. As everyone asks each other what does the Trevenant want and all the Phantumps were also getting up, then soon Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu approaches the Trevenant. As Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu slowly approach the Trevenant, Nariyuki Yuiga asks what Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu were doing.
Kizuna Hida, Basara Toujou and Yamato Naoe explain to Nariyuki Yuiga that Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu were being themselves. Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu asked the Trevenant what was the problem. With his Pikachu to translate with, Ash Ketchum understood what happened. The Trevenant said that it was Nariyuki Yuiga who landed into the Pokémon world out of nowhere and ate some of the Phantumps and Trevenant's berries when they were gathering it. So Ash Ketchum apologizes and asks everyone to help out the Trevenant and the Phantumps to gather more berries for them. Everyone was finishing gathering berries and Nariyuki Yuiga apologizes to the Trevenants and Phantumps for eating their food. Soon the Trevenant looks at Akuto Sai and the wild Deino.
Akuto Sai was confused and apologized to the Trevenant and Phantumps for fighting them, but on the contrary the Trevenant nodded at them and they all left. As Akuto Sai was even more confused, Ash Ketchum told him that the Trevenant approves of him and his Deino. So Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu complimented Akuto Sai that he and the wild Deino were a great team together. But as soon as the wild Deino was about to leave, Akuto Sai stopped him and asked if he still wanted to be his Pokémon partner. The wild Deino soon was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed that he tackled Akuto Sai and licked him. So Kizuna Hida gave Akuto Sai a Poké ball and threw it towards Deino. Soon then Akuto Sai had caught his first Pokémon partner, his Deino.
But soon his Deino popped out from his Poké ball and Akuto Sai was surprised and confused. Ash Ketchum told him that his Deino wants to be around him and Akuto Sai accepts it. Akuto Sai exchanged a high-five but his Deino instead headbutted his hand and so it was a fist bump. While Akuto Sai and his Deino's new friendship had begun, Nariyuki Yuiga felt lonely as everyone was walking with their own Pokémon partners. Yamato Naoe noticed Nariyuki Yuiga and asked him if he was okay. Nariyuki Yuiga said that he was fine but Ash Ketchum asked him if he wanted a Pokémon partner. Nariyuki Yuiga admits it and Ash Ketchum encourages him that they will help him find a Pokémon partner for him.
As everyone encourages him, Nariyuki Yuiga was gladden and he asks if they will do it. Ash Ketchum said they will but first they must go back to their airship. When everyone went back to the Zillion Volt Ketchum airship, it was getting late and so Ash Ketchum said to Nariyuki Yuiga to settle in for the night time. Ash Ketchum assures Nariyuki Yuiga that they will look for his Pokémon partner tomorrow. But Yamato Naoe said to them that they must find the other Anime Harem Male Protagonists. Ash Ketchum responds to him that they must help Nariyuki Yuiga find a Pokémon partner for him. When Yamato Naoe looks at his Slowpokes Yadon and Karin, he agrees with Ash Ketchum and apologizes to Nariyuki Yuiga.
Nariyuki Yuiga accepted his apology and soon everyone went to bed with Nariyuki Yuiga as their new member. The next morning, when everyone ate breakfast and did their daily routines, Ash Ketchum with his Pikachu, Yamato Naoe with his Slowpokes Yadon and Karin, Nariyuki Yuiga and a few others like Jin Mazama, Kizuna Hida, Raku Ichijo and Keita Suminoe with their Pokémon partners went out. They went out for Nariyuki Yuiga to find a Pokémon for him. Ash Ketchum and co. adventure around the Kalos region but either it was they having a hard time finding one or Nariyuki Yuiga couldn't bond with the Pokémon. So then everyone was taking a break and Yamato Naoe talked to Nariyuki Yuiga. As Yamato Naoe asked Nariyuki Yuiga questions and then soon Jin Mazama said to Yamato Naoe that it is the Pokémon who decides on the trainer it wants to be with. Soon Yamato Naoe and Jin Mazama were arguing with each other about the Trainer or the Pokémon who chose it.
Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu calm down both Yamato Naoe and Jin Mazama of their argument. But their argument causes Nariyuki Yugi to run into the forest. As Nariyuki Yuiga ran as he could, he was confused about the choices. He soon sat down on a log due to exhaustion. Nariyuki Yugi was discouraged that he'll never find a Pokémon partner. But soon a rustling in the bushes and Nariyuki Yuiga was startled. As Nariyuki Yuiga was preparing to fight with a stick, an Espurr came out from the bushes. Nariyuki Yuiga was at a standstill with the wild Espurr.
