It was a beautiful sunny day on Air Temple Island.

On a ship heading there were Mako, Bolin and Asami traveling to their new home, as the pro-bending arena was closed for renovations and the Sato mansion wasn't a safe place after discovering Hiroshi's secret.

When they arrived at the port, they saw Korra, Izuku and the young airbenders welcoming them.

"You're finally here!" said Ikki excitedly as a pair of air acolytes set up the ramp. "Welcooome to Air Temple Island. Your new home."

"Yes, welcome to my domain." said Meelo pointing a thumb at himself.

"Well, aren't you sweet, little monk child." said Bolin.

Pabu hopped off the earthbender's shoulders, stepped between Meelo's legs and rejoined Naga.

"What's that fuzzy creature?" asked Meelo pointing to the fire ferret.

"That is a fire ferret. An arboreal mammal common to the bamboo forests of the central Earth Kingdom." explained Jinora.

"He's cuuuute!" said Ikki before chasing after Pabu, who meowed like a cat before running away from the middle sister, as Meelo soared with airbending and landed on Naga's neck.

"Yip yip! Fly sky bison! Fly!" said Meelo tugging on the ears of the polar bear dog.

"Thanks for sending the Air Acolytes to help us with the move." said Mako.

"Yes, they've been amazing. Such tireless workers." said Asami as a pair of air acolytes carried a bunch of suitcases belonging to the engineer.

"Oh, I thought you were only bringing a few things." said Korra surprised at the amount of stuff they were bringing.

"I guess that was to be expected from someone who lived in a huge mansion." commented Izuku.

"Trust me, it could've been worse." said Mako.

"Relax. Everyone here wants you guys to feel welcome. They did the same for us when we first arrived on the island." said Izuku.

Soon after, the group arrived at the entrance of the temple.

It was then, when Asami noticed that Meelo was looking at her with a strange smile.

"You're pretty, can I have some of your hair?" asked Meelo making a 'give it to me' gesture with his hand.

Asami arched an eyebrow at the young airbender's request.

"Looks like I have some competition." said Mako with an amused smile.

"And now for the grand tour." said Ikki stopping the group for a brief introduction of the temple. "The flying bison sleep in those caves down there. And that's the temple Grandpa Aang built. And that's the greenhouse where we grow the vegetables we eat." said Ikki giving them a big toothy grin.

"I have a couple of questions. Is this an all-vegetarian island? Is that where you train airbending? Do we have to wear Air Acolyte clothes? Do we each get our own sky bison? And final question, how many trees are on this island?" asked Bolin.

"Yes. Yes. No. No. 10,552." said Ikki answering all the questions, to the surprise of the newcomers, even Izuku.

"So, where are we going to be staying?" asked Mako.

"Since you are boys, you will live to the boys' side with me." said Izuku.

"I'd be happy to show you to the men's dormitory." said Jinora to Mako before she, the green-haired boy and the firebender went off to the side.

"I'm a boy." commented Bolin following them.

"Meelo, why don't you go with the boys too?" asked Korra.

"We shall meet again soon, beautiful woman." said Meelo to Asami before leaving to catch up with the others.

"Ikki and I will take you to your room this way." said Korra.

As Izuku, Jinora and Meelo were leading the two brothers to their room, suddenly, Izuku stopped, something that caught the attention of the others.

"Is something wrong?" asked Jinora.

"I don't know why, but I have a feeling that someone yelled really loud." said Izuku.

"What makes you think that?" asked Mako with an arched eyebrow.

"Call it intuition." said Izuku with a shrug.

"Bah. I'm sure it's nothing." said Bolin thinking it was his imagination.

"Maybe." said Izuku.

After that, they took the two brothers to their corresponding room, where they were putting things up until someone knocked on the door.

Izuku stepped forward and opened the door, revealing Tenzin and Korra on the other side.

"Master Tenzin, what is it?" asked Izuku.

"First, I wanted to welcome Mako and Bolin to the island." said Tenzin.

"Thank you so much for accepting us, Master Tenzin." said Mako bowing in thanks.

"Yes, we owe you one." said Bolin with a thumbs up.

After that, Tenzin turned his gaze to the green-haired boy.

"Secondly, Saikhan, Beifong's replacement is going to be inducted as the new Chief of Police later. I think we should both be there." Tenzin told him.

"Understood." said Izuku.

As they made their way to the venue where the investiture would be held, Izuku noticed the worried expression on Korra's face.

"What's wrong with you, Korra?" asked Izuku.

"Oh, nothing, except for the fact that Ikki has told Asami that I like Mako right under my nose!" said Korra annoyed by what the middle daughter did.

"What?" asked Izuku in surprise. "Now I understand about the scream." thought Izuku remembering the scream he felt earlier. "And how did Asami take it?"

"Surprisingly, better than I thought, although that scares me a little. What if it comes to the same thing that happened with Mako and Bolin when I kissed him? Or worse, what if she finds out I kissed him?" asked Korra scared of the consequences.

"I don't know, Korra. I guess we can just wait and see what happens." said Izuku.

"*Sigh* I guess you're right." said Korra.

Later, the group of three found themselves at the gates of the police station, where a group of people had gathered to witness the speech of the new police chief who had the council members, Korra and Izuku behind him along with several police officers.

"It was an honor serving under Chief Beifong for so many years and I wish her a speedy recovery." began Saikhan as they were taking pictures of him.

"It is with great humility that I take her place as the new Chief of Police. Republic City is facing a threat like none the world has ever seen but there is one man who's been effective against Amon's revolution, Councilman Tarrlok." said Saikhan as photographers took pictures of the waterbender councilman.

"That is why for all matters involving the Equalists, I will report directly to him." said Saikhan, to the surprise of Tenzin, Korra and Izuku. "The police department will lend any and all available resources to the councilman and his task force until we quell this insurgency."

"What is that weasel snake Tarrlok up to now?" asked Korra with her arms crossed and narrowing her suspicious gaze on the waterbender councilman.

"I don't know, but I don't think it's anything good." said Izuku suspicious of him too.

Soon after, the people gathered in front of the police station left and Tarrlok was saying goodbye to the other departing council members.

"Tarrlok, I don't know what you did to get Chief Saikhan in your pocket but I highly doubt it was legal." said Tenzin suspicious of the waterbender councilman's actions.

"Oh, Tenzin. Always the conspiracy theorist. Did you ever consider Saikhan simply recognizes my talents and wants what is best for this city?" asked Tarrlok with his usual smile.

"Hmmh." expressed Tenzin still not trusting his words.

Just then, Korra and Izuku approached them.

"Well, Avatar Korra, Deku. Long time, no see. Now that your little pro-bending distractions are over, I look forward to your return to my task force." said Tarrlok.

"Ha!" expressed Korra crossing her arms with a frown. "Forget it! There's no way I'm rejoining your vanity project." said Korra as Izuku nodded in agreement.

"That is unfortunate to hear, but I'm sure you'll come to your senses as you have in the past." said Tarrlok.

"Then sit tight." said Korra.

"Tenzin was right about you all along. You have used Korra and me, as well as Beifong and now you are using the new police chief. All just for your own gain." said Izuku.

"Oh, how can you think that of me? I only want what's best for the city. That's why I need you." said Tarrlok with his usual smile.

"Yeah, well, I got news for you. You need us, but we don't need you. We are the Avatar and Deku." said Korra standing in front of the waterbender councilman.

"You're not, in fact, the Avatar. You are merely a half-baked Avatar in training, which reminds me, how is your airbending going? Made any significant progress with that?" asked Tarrlok giving Korra a low blow, causing her to lower her head in sadness and frustration.

He then turned his gaze to the green-haired boy.

"And Deku, didn't you say you would help this city? It doesn't look like you're doing that if you're all the time tagging along with the Avatar. In my opinion, she's a liability to you." said Tarrlok.

"She's not a liability! She's my sister!" declared Izuku to the surprise of the waterbender councilman and joy of the Avatar. "And she may not be fully the Avatar yet, but she still fights for the people of this city, unlike you."

"Whatever you say. If you will not be part of my task force, then you had best stay out of my way." said Tarrlok walking away.

Izuku gritted his teeth in anger at the waterbender councilman.

It was then that he suddenly received a hug from the Avatar, much to his surprise.

"Thank you for standing up for me." said Korra breaking away from the hug.

"That's what siblings are for, right?" asked Izuku with a smile.

Despite being happy that her 'brother' had defended her, she couldn't help but think about Tarrlok's words, about how, despite being the Avatar, she still wasn't completely the Avatar.

Later, the group was on the back of Oogi who was flying over the city.

During the ride, Korra was still thinking about what Tarrlok said.

"I don't understand what's wrong with me. I've memorized nearly all of the practice forms, but I still can't produce a single measly puff of air! I'm a failure." said Korra.

"You're not a failure, Korra." said Izuku trying to cheer her up.

"Thank you, but that doesn't make me learn to airbend." said Korra.

"You just need to work through this airbending block." said Tenzin.

"Amazing advice. I'll get right on that." said Korra sarcastically.

"I think you should let him finish." said Izuku sensing there was more to it.

"You see, Aang not only had his bending teachers, but also his past lives to call upon for guidance." said Tenzin.

"That's right, I read that the Avatar has the ability to talk to his past lives. Were you ever able to do that?" asked Izuku.

"No, of course I haven't. I'm a spiritual failure too." said Korra.

"You may have made a connection without realizing it. Perhaps something you mistook as a dream?" asked Tenzin.

"Maybe, I remember something similar happened to me once with the One For All." said Izuku, drawing the attention of the others.

"Really?" asked Korra full of curiosity.

"It was during the fighting round of the sports festival. My opponent had a Quirk that allowed him to control the people who responded to him." said Izuku.

"Sounds like a terrible ability." commented Tenzin quite surprised that there was such an ability in the world of the green-haired boy.

"Despite being warned about it, I couldn't help but talk back to him when he started insulting my classmates. At that moment, I felt I had no control of my body. When I saw that I was about to lose the fight, I wished with all my might to break free and that's when I saw them." said Izuku.

"Who?" asked Korra.

"The previous One For All users." said Izuku to the surprise of the other two. "Thanks to them, I was able to achieve enough strength to break free and after that, I won the fight."

"Hmm. No doubt that One For All is very similar to the Avatar's power." said Tenzin impressed by that experience the green-haired boy went through.

"Now that you mention it, maybe. I had a few weird hallucinations, but I hardly even remember them." said Korra catching the airbender's attention.

"And did you see any of the previous Avatars in these visions?" asked Tenzin interested in what the Avatar said.

"I saw Aang. It seemed like he was in trouble. What do you think it means?" asked Korra.

"I don't know, but if you're having those visions, it's possible that Aang's spirit is trying to tell you something. Something important." said Izuku.

In the early evening, Korra sat on the edge of a cliff looking at the statue of Avatar Aang, shedding a few tears.

As much as she meditated, as much as she trained, as much as she practiced, she couldn't airbend or talk to her past lives.

How was she going to save the city as its Avatar if she couldn't even airbend like the previous Avatar did?

She felt sad to think that she would never become a full Avatar like Aang and any of the previous Avatars were.

"Korra, are you there?" asked Izuku from a distance, causing Korra to wipe her tears away for us to see.

"Korraaa!" shouted Bolin from the distance just as Pabu came out from the bushes and climbed onto the Avatar's knees before licking her face to wipe away her tears.

"There you are." said Bolin as he, Mako, Asami and Izuku arrived just as Bolin bent down to get Pabu to climb onto his shoulders.

"Are you okay?" asked Izuku.

"I'm fine." said Korra lying.

"Come on, what's wrong? You can tell us." said Mako.

"How am I suppose to save this city when I can't even learn airbending? I'm the worst Avatar ever! I just feel… alone." said Korra depressed.

"No, that's nonsense! You're amazing!" said Asami.

"She's right," said Izuku sitting down next to his 'sister'. "You're the most amazing person I know."

"Yeah and remember. Aang hadn't mastered all the elements when he was battling the Fire Nation. He was just a little kid." said Mako.

"And he wasn't alone. He had his friends to help him." said Bolin.

"Before I was able to get into U.A. I had to train hard to be able to handle my newly released Quirk, but despite that, I kept fearing that I might fail. However, All Might never lost faith in me and it is thanks to him and many people that I have come this far. Even though there are no more pro-bending matches, we're still a team. The new Team Avatar!" said Izuku.

"I like the sound of that!" said Bolin.

"We got your back Korra, and we can save this city. Together." asked Mako as he, Bolin, Asami and Izuku joined hands.

Korra, feeling more encouraged, stood up and approached the group.

"Yeah, let's do it!" said Korra placing her hand on top of the others'.

"Yeah, let's do it! What are we doing?" said Meelo suddenly appearing on the scene.

The new Team Avatar laughed at that.

Soon after, they gathered at the entrance to the temple.

"Get ready, Republic City. You are about to be patrolled by Team Avatar." said Bolin with an excited smile.

Just then, Asami appeared, sporting a new outfit along with the electrified gauntlet.

"Asami, you always know how to accessorize your outfits." said Mako.

"I figure one way to fight Equalists is to use an Equalist weapon." said Asami.

"It always comes in handy to have an ace up your sleeve." commented Izuku.

"All right, let's ride." said Korra enthusiastically as she slammed her fist into her palm.

The next instant, Korra, Izuku, Mako and Asami were on Naga's back.

"Naga away!" shouted Bolin climbing onto Naga's back as well, but the polar bear dog jerked a bit before leaning forward, causing them all to fall off.

"I guess we're too much for Naga." said Izuku getting up along with the others.

"All right, scratch that. Any other ideas?" asked Korra.

"I think I have the answer." said Asami with a small smile.

Team Avatar went to a garage that Asami came out of driving a black satomobile.

"You think this'll do?" asked Asami.

The rest of the team smiled before getting into the vehicle with Mako sitting in the passenger seat and the others, in the back.

"I like the new Team Avatar's style." said Mako before Asami started the satomobile.

Later, the Team Avatar's satomobile could be seen cruising the streets of the city waiting for any crime or news about it, but so far they saw nothing.

"Unit two sixteen, cancel that ten fifty-eight at Harmony Tower. Come back to the station, over." sounded from the satomobile radio.

"My dad had police scanners installed in all of his cars. I guess now I know why." said Asami.

"It was probably to keep an eye out for police updates." said Izuku.

"Calling all units, Level Four Alert. Jailbreak at headquarters. Officers down, electrocuted. Chi-blockers and Equalist convicts are still at large armed and dangerous. Last seen heading east. I repeat, Level Four Alert. Equalist jailbreak!" sounded from the radio, which worried the team.

Just as they approached an intersection, they were forced to come to a violent stop as a group of bikers passed through the street perpendicular to them, surrounding a van.

"Chi-blockers!" shouted Bolin as he identified the group.

"That's them!" said Mako.

"Let's get 'em!" said Korra pointing in the direction they were going as Asami started the satomobile to follow them overland.

The Equalists continued their journey down the road, bringing a couple of vehicles to a sudden stop.

Halfway down the road, they were followed by Team Avatar in their satomobile, which circumvented the stopped vehicles.

Suddenly, a truck appeared and stopped in the middle of the Team Avatar's path.

"Korra! Bolin! Give me a ramp! Now!" said Asami quickly as the appointees stood up.

The two together made, from the ground, a ramp that Asami used to get the satomobile over the truck, managing to land safely on the other side as the chase continued.

"Mako, help me with those in the back!" said Izuku standing up.

"Got it!" said Mako getting to his feet.

Mako threw a lightning at one of the bikers in the back of the van knocking him down in the process.

"Delaware Smash!" shouted Izuku releasing a pressed finger, launching a blast of wind that hit the other biker in the back.

Bolin threw a series of small stones at another biker like bullets.

The biker dodged a barrage of stones before another barrage hit him and knocked him down.

Two of the bikers began to expel a bunch of smoke to block their view.

Asami put on a pair of smoke goggles.

Acting quickly, Izuku threw a horizontal kick into the air, thus launching a wave of wind that broke up the smoke in time to see the Equalists turning to the side so quickly that they wouldn't be given time.

"Help me out! We gotta make this turn!" said Asami.

Korra reacted quickly and caused rounded ramps to form from the ground.

The satomobile drove over the ramp, allowing it to successfully turn in the direction they went, even though they were still billowing smoke that completely covered them.

"They don't know we made the turn. Okay, get ready." said Asami without waiting for an answer as she flipped the gear lever and accelerated the satomobile until it slammed into the bikers, sending them flying.

Unfortunately, they landed on their feet on top of the hood of the vehicle.

Mako threw a fireball at one of the Equalist soldiers, but he dodged it before throwing a rope that wrapped around his hand.

He then tried to throw another ball at him with his free hand, but he also dodged it and wrapped another rope around his other hand.

Bolin tried to hit the other soldier, but he acted fast and hit him repeatedly in the arm, disabling him in the process.

Asami grabbed him by the leg with her electrified gauntlet, making him scream in pain before he fell unconscious.

The first Equalist soldier pulled his ropes to throw Mako out of the vehicle, but Korra grabbed him and with a yank, threw the soldier over the passenger seat, which Asami took advantage of to touch him with her electrified gauntlet to knock him down.

After that, Izuku decided to finish it off, so he took a huge leap towards the vehicle while having his fist pulled back.

"Detroit Smash!" shouted Izuku slamming his fist on the hood of the vehicle, causing it to tilt dangerously.

Fortunately, Izuku jumped out of the vehicle before it fell sideways and skidded to a stop.

Team Avatar's satomobile came to a stop next to the van.

"I hope I didn't overshoot." said Izuku.

"Considering where you hit, you didn't." said Asami as she and the others got out of the satomobile.

"That was impressive. You're really strong." said Bolin.

"And that only used a small percentage." said Korra knowing that Izuku couldn't control all of his power.

"Well good thing he did." said Mako mentally terrified of what the green-haired boy could cause if he used his power to the fullest.

Soon after, the Team Avatar was standing with the escaped prisoners and the Equalist soldiers in front of them, in front of a group of photographers taking pictures of them.

Just then, a couple of police vehicles arrived.

Tarrlok got out of one of them and didn't look happy, though Korra smiled when she saw the expression on his face.

"Avatar Korra, Deku, what do you think you are doing?" asked Tarrlok angrily.

"Oh, hey Tarrlok. Nice of you to show up finally." said Korra with a victorious smile.

"As you can see, we captured the escaped convicts for you." said Izuku.

"What you did was tear up the city and impede the real authorities in their pursuit of these criminals." said Tarrlok.

Korra arched an eyebrow in doubt.

"Hmm, that's funny. I didn't see your little task force or the cops the whole time. If it wasn't for Team Avatar, they would've gotten away." said Korra.

"This is your last warning. Stay out of my way!" said Tarrlok in a threatening tone before leaving with the police who had caught everyone captured by Team Avatar.

"You see, Korra? Working together, we can do great things." said Mako.

"Yes, that's right. Thank you all. I don't know what I would have done without you." said Korra.

"That's what friends are for, right?" asked Izuku before extending his hand forward.

The others placed their hands on top of the green-haired boy's.

"Team Avatar!" the five shouted in unison as they raised their hands high.

The next morning, a city council meeting was being held, with Tarrlok standing in front of everyone.

"Republic City stands as a beacon of freedom, but the Equalists are using that freedom to tear it down. The law I have proposed would make it illegal for anyone to be a member of the Equalists or even be associated with them. It also puts into effect a curfew, ensuring all non-benders are in their own homes by nightfall." said Tarrlok.

"This is going too far, Tarrlok! You can't punish all non-benders for the actions of a few!" said Tenzin standing up, indignant at the new law he was proposing.

"That kind of cowardice will cause our city to fall into Amon's hands. We must pass this law. All in favor?" said Tarrlok.

Unfortunately for Tenzin, the rest of the council members voted in favor of Tarrlok's new law, while Tarrlok smiled at his victory.

Later that evening, the Team Avatar was having a snack by the satomobile while resting from their night patrol.

"All available units, please respond to the fifty-six hundred block of Dragon Flats borough. Equalists have taken to the streets, consider them armed and dangerous. Proceed with caution." blared from the vehicle radio.

Wasting no time, they set off.

"I call front!" said Bolin sitting in the passenger seat while Asami sat in the driver's seat.

"After you." said Mako letting the Avatar go first.

"What a gentleman, thanks!" said Korra sitting in the back next to Mako with Izuku on his other side.

The Avatar and the firebender shared a smile which was seen by Asami from the rear view mirror and she frowned as she could tell there was something going on between them.

Putting that issue aside, Asami started the satomobile and drove it in the direction of the place mentioned on the radio.

However, when they arrived in the area of the city where that place they mentioned was, they saw a completely dark area, with no lights illuminating the streets, neither from street lamps nor from inside the buildings.

The only lights there were from the police blimps that were flying in the air.

"Why is the power out?" asked Korra.

"I don't like this at all." said Izuku sensing something very bad was coming.

It was then, when they stopped and as they got out of the satomobile they saw something that left them horrified.

In a square, the police had cordoned off an area where there were a bunch of non-benders demonstrating about something.

"Wait a second, these people aren't armed or dangerous." said Asami confused as the Team Avatar got a little closer to the area.

"Sure doesn't look that way." said Korra confused by the situation.

Suddenly, their gaze was directed to the roof of a police vehicle where Saikhan was standing with a megaphone system.

"All non-benders, return to your homes immediately." said Saikhan.

"Yeah, as soon as you turn our power back on." said a non-bender who received the support of all present.

"Disperse, or you will all be arrested." said Saikhan.

"You benders can't treat us this way!" exclaimed a female non-bender angrily.

"Mommy, look! It's the Avatar!" said the woman's daughter.

"And Deku!" said the woman's other son.

Korra and her friends approached the police barricade, as did some non-benders, but the policemen stopped them from going any further.

"Please, help us! You're our Avatar, too!" said the non-bender woman.

"Help us, Deku!" said the two children.

Korra and Izuku stared at all the non-benders begging for help with their eyes.

Not being able to stand it, they pushed aside a couple of policemen as they moved closer to the crowd.

Izuku crouched down to the children's level.

"Calm down. Everything will be all right. Because we're already here." said Izuku with a smile, making the children feel a little better.

"Everyone, please stay calm. I'm gonna put a stop to this." said Korra before leaving with the rest of the team to go talk to whoever was responsible for that.

And to their not-so-surprise, the person responsible was Tarrlok, who was standing near a tent talking to a policeman.

"Tarrlok!" said Korra catching the waterbender councilman's attention. "You need to turn the power back on and leave these people alone."

"Avatar Korra, Deku, you and your playmates have no business here." said Tarrlok.

"You have no right to treat these civilians like criminals." said Izuku.

"This is an Equalist rally. There is nothing innocent about it." said Tarrlok pointing to the crowd.

"They're not Equalists, they're just normal people who want their rights back." said Asami defending the non-benders.

"They are the enemy!" expressed Tarrlok before turning his gaze to the policemen. "Round up all these Equalists!"

The policemen advanced a couple of steps and used metalbending to manipulate the fences.

People started to panic as the fences began to surround them in groups like a rope.

Then they used earthbending to raise the ground on which the restrained people were standing.

This caused the people who weren't restrained to run in panic.

A couple of policemen opened the van with the intention of locking up the detainees, much to the horror of Team Avatar.

Izuku gritted his teeth in anger.

How could the police, who were dedicated to protecting people, detain people who simply wanted to live peacefully?

"That's enough!" shouted Izuku throwing a horizontal kick in the air that produced a wind wave that knocked the policemen down.

After that, Korra used her earthbending to lower the floating platforms, which the restrained people took advantage of to escape, much to Tarrlok's anger.

Suddenly, Tarrlok turned his gaze to Asami and threw a water whip at her, which became entangled in her left wrist, much to the engineer's surprise.

"Hey! Let me go!" demanded Asami trying to free herself from the water rope.

"You're under arrest!" said Tarrlok.

"What? You can't do that!" said Mako.

"Actually, I can." said Tarrlok pulling Asami to him before a couple of cops grabbed her. "She's a non-bender out past curfew and her father is a known Equalist conspirator."

"Let her go!" demanded Mako very pissed off.

"Arrest him and his brother!" said Tarrlok before metal ropes wrapped around the two brothers, preventing them from using their arms.

"Tarrlok!" shouted Korra as lifted two large rocks.

"I don't care anymore if you're a council member or if you have the police on your side. I will stop you." said Izuku with restrained fury as he activated his Quirk.

The two got into a fighting stance in front of the waterbender councilman.

"Unless you want to join your friends in prison, I suggest you put those down and go back to the Air Temple." said Tarrlok.

"Guys, listen to him. It's not worth it." said Mako.

In view of the situation, Korra and Izuku had no choice but to surrender.

Tarrlok smiled at their victory, but then…

"Although, now that I remember. Arrest Deku!" said Tarrlok.

Before either of them could react to that, metal ropes wrapped around the green-haired boy in such a way that they wrapped around him from the neck down.

"What are you doing?!" asked Izuku demanding answers.

"You recently directly attacked the police in the middle of work. That's obstruction of authority." said Tarrlok with his typical grin.

"I did it to protect the people YOU wanted to arrest!" said Izuku.

"Still, that action calls for punishment." said Tarrlok as a pair of policemen grabbed the green-haired boy and took him to the police vehicle.

"You're not taking him away!" exclaimed Korra lighting her fists on fire.

"Oh, you want to share the same punishment as your brother? That would be very nice of you." said Tarrlok.

Korra was about to direct a fiery punch at the waterbender councilman when…

"Korra, don't do it!" said Izuku managing to get Korra to put out the fire in her fists before turning her gaze towards him. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine!"

"Izuku…" said Korra.

"We'll be all right." said Bolin as he, Mako and Asami were taken to the van as well.

"Don't worry, I'll call Tenzin. He can get you out." said Korra trying to reassure them.

Izuku and Mako gave her one last look before the doors of the vehicle closed.

Korra was sad and disappointed with herself for seeing her friends and her 'brother' detained.

"So sad to see your little Team Avatar broken up. You had a good run." said Tarrlok with his arms crossed.

"This isn't over, Tarrlok." said Korra pointing her finger with a frown.

"Oh, I believe it is. Take them away." ordered Tarrlok as the police vehicle drove off with the members of Team Avatar inside.

All Korra could do was lower her head in sadness and disappointment at how things had ended with her friends.

Worst of all, she could do nothing to help them without there being consequences.

Later in the evening, Tenzin could be seen walking into the police station, where Korra was talking to a clerk who was checking a list.

"Hey!" exclaimed Korra as the clerk stormed off, frustrating her so much that she pounded her fist on the desk.

"I came as fast as I could. Are your friends all right?" asked Tenzin who had stood behind Korra.

"I don't know! These knuckleheads won't tell me anything." said Korra.

"I'll take care of this." said Tenzin just as the new chief of police passed by the other side of the desk, who upon seeing them, decided to be on his way. "Saikhan." said Tenzin managing to make him stop. "A word please."

"Councilman Tenzin." said Saikhan addressing him. "I'm pretty swamped at the moment. Can this wait?"

"No, it cannot. Four of Avatar Korra's friends were wrongly arrested tonight. I'd like you to release them immediately." said Tenzin speaking with authority.

"They're not going anywhere. They were interfering with police business." said Saikhan.

"Your so-called police business was rounding up innocent people and claiming they were Equalists. They should be released, too." said Korra.

"All Equalists suspects are being detained indefinitely. They'll be freed if and when the task force deems they are no longer a threat." said Saikhan.

"Those people are entitled to due process under the law." said Tenzin.

"You'll have to take that up with Councilman Tarrlok." said Saikhan.

"Oh, I plan to. At the council meeting, first thing in the morning." said Tenzin.

"You're officially the worst Chief of Police ever!" said Korra leaning closer to Saikhan before Tenzin pushed her away from him.

"Calm down, Korra. I'll get this sorted out, we just need to be patient." said Tenzin calmly before leading Korra to the exit. Halfway there, however. "But you really are the worst! Ever!" exclaimed Tenzin to the police chief before continuing on his way.

Back on Air Temple Island, Korra was lying on her bed with Naga nearby.

Despite Tenzin's assurances that she would get her friends released, she still felt a bit guilty and frustrated due to the fact that Tarrlok had her cornered and could do nothing to stop them from being taken away.

"Ugh." expressed Korra pounding the bed with her fist before getting up, opening the window and taking a look around the city.

Finally, Korra made a decision and she was determined to make it regardless of whatever consequences came to pass.

With her decision made, she walked over to Naga to wake her up before kneeling down to her full height.

"Wake up, Naga. Let's go." said Korra.

Soon after, Korra, who was on Naga's back, was on her way to the town hall.

Halfway there, Korra got off Naga.

"Wait for me here, girl." said Korra before the polar bear dog nuzzled her head in concern. "Don't worry, I'll be all right." said Korra hugging her animal guide's head to calm her down before leaving for the town hall.

Inside the town hall, Tarrlok was in his office, sitting behind his desk with a waterfall of water behind him and the council messenger beside him, filling out some reports.

Suddenly, the window opened, causing a breeze of air to blow the papers off the desk. The two present turned their gaze there to see the Avatar.

"You and I need to talk." said Korra before entering the office and walking slightly towards him.

"Are any of the other council members here?" asked Tarrlok to the messenger.

"I believe everyone has gone home for the night." said the messenger.

"Then you should do the same." said Tarrlok.

"Are you sure, sir?" asked the messenger a little nervously and hesitantly.

"Leave us." said Tarrlok before the messenger bowed and left the office. "You obviously have something on your mind? Spit it out." said Tarrlok wanting to get to the point.

"Don't you see? You're doing exactly what Amon says is wrong with benders. You're using your power to oppress and intimidate people!" said Korra.

"And you don't?" asked Tarrlok surprising the Avatar a bit.

"Of… Of course not!" declared Korra with a frown at the accusation.

"Isn't that what you came here to do? Intimidate me into releasing your friends and your dinosaurs?" said Tarrlok, causing Korra to grit her teeth in anger. "See, that's what I admire about you, Korra. Your willingness to go to extremes in order to get what you want. It is a quality we both share."

"You and I are nothing alike!" declared Korra.

"Look, I'll make you a deal. You fall in line and do what I say and I'll release your friends." said Tarrlok.

"That's why you arrested them? To get to me?" asked Korra beginning to understand the waterbender councilman's intentions.

"I need your answer." said Tarrlok.

"What about Izuku? Do you want him in your task force too?" asked Korra.

"If he is willing to follow my orders, yes. So what's your answer?" asked Tarrlok.

Even though that would mean freeing her friends, she knew full well that wasn't the right solution.

"No. You might be able to manipulate Chief Saikhan into following you, but it won't work on me and it won't work with Izuku either." said Korra as Tarrlok stood up and stood with his back to her, looking at the waterfall with his arms behind his back.

"You will regret that decision." said Tarrlok.

"You need to be stopped! You're just as bad as Amon!" said Korra, causing Tarrlok's eyes to widen.

"I've tried to work with you, Korra, but you've made it impossible." said Tarrlok before quickly launching a diagonal water slash.

Korra managed to dodge it in time, though a few hairs were cut in the process before the attack hit the furniture behind her.

Korra then threw an earth wave at it that sent Tarrlok crashing into the waterfall behind it before launching two blasts of fire at it with her fists, but Tarrlok used the water from the waterfall to form a shield with which to fend off the attack.

When Korra parried the fire attack, Tarrlok, with a grin, threw ice chunks from the water shield, but Korra dodged them all with a back flip.

Unfortunately, she ended up crashing into the wall and was forced to defend herself with her fists, but then, several chunks of ice began to cut her all over her body.

Faced with the continuous barrage of ice chunks, Korra erected a wall of earth to block them and then, with a groan of effort, caused the part of the wall behind the waterfall to turn to the side, catching Tarrlok by surprise before the wall hit him and sent him out of his office.

He almost nearly fell to the floor below, but caught hold of the bar in time.

Tarrlok looked up to see Korra in the hole he formed when he broke through the wall.

"Still think that I'm a half-baked Avatar?" asked Korra before launching a wave of earth that sent the waterbender councilman down to the floor below, into the central meeting room.

Korra then jumped up and landed on the ground in a superhero pose, causing a small crater in the process and sending whatever was around her flying through the ripple.

Korra gasped a little from exhaustion before standing up and looking down at Tarrlok who was lying on the ground and looking up at her.

"What are you gonna do now? You're all out of water, pal." said Korra advancing towards Tarrlok who was backing away with a frightened expression.

Korra generated two flames in her hands and lunged towards him, but then, Tarrlok stood up, pointed his hands at her and the fire attack stopped, as did Korra.

Korra began to moan in pain as Tarrlok moved his hands, causing her to move her body as well.

With a couple of movements, Tarrlok made her kneel before him.

"You're in my way Avatar, and you need to be removed." said Tarrlok already losing his patience.

Korra stared at him in utter horror as she remained paralyzed.

"You're… you're a bloodbender?" asked Korra horrified by the discovery.

"Very observant." said Tarrlok.

"It's not a full moon! How… how are you doing this?!" asked Korra remembering what she was told about the bloodbenders.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me." Tarrlok said before using bloodbending to throw Korra into a wall, knocking her down in the process.

The last thing Korra saw before she was knocked unconscious was the blurred image of Tarrlok.

It was then that she had those visions again.

In them she saw the mystery man, Sokka moaning in pain, Toph trying to attack the mystery man before she started to contract, and Aang going through the same thing.

When she regained consciousness, she found herself tied up inside a van, with Tarrlok at the back doors.

"Where are you taking me?" asked Korra.

"Somewhere no one will find you. Say goodbye to Republic City, Avatar Korra. You'll never see it again!" said Tarrlok.

Korra gritted her teeth in rage before launching a blast of fire out of her mouth with a roar, but Tarrlok shut the doors in time.

"You can't do this!" said Korra before she felt the vehicle start. "Let me out! Garh!" shouted Korra as Tarrlok drove the vehicle to who knows where.

"Korra!" shouted Izuku opening his eyes and sitting up with a start before gasping a little.

Looking around, he discovered that he was in a cell and that he was in a straitjacket.

Surely the police put it on him so he wouldn't use his power.

However, despite the situation he was in, he couldn't stop thinking about the feeling he had earlier.

It was as if Korra was screaming for help, but also as if she were asking for it right next to him even though she wasn't.

He didn't know how or why, but he did know that something bad must be happening to Korra, though deep down, he hoped that it wasn't.
