Ciro leaned her head on Storm's shoulder as she still was behind Storm, tears streaming down her face as she breathed, "Oh, Ororo...She's perfectly beautiful. Hello, Minna Charlotte Munroe.".
Storm glanced at her in surprise, "Charlotte?", barely noticing Jean freeze in place, surprised as well, and Ciro smiled softly, "Why not? If it wasn't for Professor Charles Xavier, he would never have guided you or everybody else, and he indirectly brought you to me, my thunderstorm. So, if he wouldn't have, I would be alone, or not have this beautiful girl together...".
"True...", Storm chuckled and Ciro smiled as she kissed Storm's cheek and helped hold the baby closer to them, "She's so perfect, my thunderstorm...".
"Just a little rain cloud right now she is...", Storm joked. "Raincloud, eh? I like that for a pet name...", Ciro smiled, and glanced at Jean, "Are you okay with her middle name?".
Jean nodded softly, "If Professor Xavier knew, I think he would be extremely honored to be part of Minna's life in her middle name. Minna Charlotte Munroe fits her perfectly.", with a warm smile.
Mo nodded, "Yeah, she's mighty pretty, alright...The whole family's gonna love her.", with a big grin before Minna gave a hungry whine, and Jean chuckled, "Let's get you robed up, and put you in the bedroom. You've been in the tub long enough.", levitating the robe, and grabbing it.
Mo smiled, "I'll tell the news to everyone. And Ciro, I am so happy for you, little sis.", and Ciro chuckled, "Thanks, big bro. And tell Gizmo to wait a bit longer. I'll call him when he can come in and meet his baby sister.".
"Will do.", Mo nodded, and headed out of the bathroom, and after Ciro helped Storm out of the tub, with Jean robing her up, with Ciro taking her to the bedroom while Jean cleaned up.
As Storm settled on their bed, Ciro removed the robe and shirt, and with a bit of adjusting, Minna instantly latched onto one of Storm's breasts, gulping down, and Storm sighed happily as Ciro held her, "This still feels like a dream in a little way.".
"It feels the same for me as well... when Giza was lost... I really didn't think I would have this sort of life again.", Ciro said as she gently brushed Storm's hair. "Just another reason to somehow thank Mo for getting captured.".
"True... never would've led us together and I might have still been imprisoned by Gallaxhar.", Storm replied.
Ciro nodded, "Indeed...She looks so much like both of us...You truly chose her name well, Ororo...", and Storm smiled softly, "I really have...I only wish Evan was here to meet his cousin...Minna truly has his dimples...", with a soft sigh.
"I am sure he's smiling in the heavens, my thunderstorm. After all, he died a hero. That's what he wanted, yes?", Ciro murmured softly, and Storm nodded, "Yes, he did...", knowing a few of the stories about some of the younger survivors saved by Evan before he got bitten and all...
Ciro smiled, "So, he truly lives in you, and in our daughter. Part of the legacy he left behind.", gently caressing Minna's head gently and lovingly. Storm smiled and kissed Ciro on the lips, "You're very much right, Ciro. I love you so much, obim.".
"I love you too, my thunderstorm, and I love you too, Minna.", Ciro spoke warmly and kissed Minna's forehead as she kept suckling, and the newfound mothers watched their daughter for some time before finishing her first meal and falling asleep in Ciro's arms as Storm dressed herself and called Gizmo on Ciro's phone.
Indeed, Gizmo was over the moon when he finally met his baby sister, brotherly love at first sight, swearing to be there for her no matter what, and the mothers wouldn't be any prouder of Gizmo than they already were.
And so, Libra Haven was so happy to have another new resident in Minna, with Gizmo sharing Minna's picture with everyone. Later on, after having another poker session with Link and Bucky who replaced Mo, Wolverine aka Logan headed out to have a smoke. Not wanting angry mothers on his ass, he decided to switch from cigars to using a smoking pipe, shortly after he settled in. He hated cigarettes for its fake tobacco and all, plus the smell is strangely funny to him as well.
He saw Jean walking to the boundary fence near the main compound, and he exhaled, deciding to join her...He will leave if Jean isn't in the mood to talk.
"Hey, Jean...", Logan said as he got her attention. "Oh, Logan... didn't know you were out... the guys clean you out again at the table?", Jean joked as he chuckled.
"Won the first session. Lost the second session.", Logan smirked, and Jean snickered before sighing deeply, "It truly has been so long since we talked like this...".
Logan nodded as he leaned against the fence, "Sure has...I thought you died with the others down there, Jeannie, protecting the school to the last moment with the Professor, Emma...Scott...", mad at himself for bringing it up, but he was damn curious to find out what happened exactly...If it was up to him, he would have done everything to stay with Jean...
He was literally over head to hells in love with Jean in that damn crush, or maybe it was actually more than a crush, but he saw Scott literally sticking close to Jean almost everywhere, and how Jean looked so happy with him, so Logan was a gentleman for once, not going to be that kind of jerk, letting go of her, and he was glad for that after having heard about Dietl when he settled down here in Libra Haven.
And now, looks like he's still having embers of that crush as Jean looks so beautiful yet haunted in the early moonlight, and the light of the nearby lantern posts.
"Yeah... in many ways we all died then... just some of us, I guess, didn't get the message and kept going.", Jean sighed as Logan nodded.
"Isn't that the truth?... And sadly, some of us clearly must have suffered fates worse than death...", Logan tightened his fist.
Jean closed her eyes and exhaled shakily, "Yeah...Kitty was upset when she found out about Colossus. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for her in finding love again in Gizmo, but Piotr was Kitty's big crush in the first place.".
Logan chuckled bitterly, "Oh, I smelled the pheromones in that mansion...Too bad that Colossus was clueless in that department.", and Jean laughed airily, "You may have beat me there. Reading the auras everywhere was a literal rainbow everywhere, along with reading thoughts when I turned my mind on. Teenagers in a boarding school...".
Logan winced, "Call it a tie then. Do you think the Professor had it worse?", and Jean shrugged, "Never bothered to ask about it as he seemed to have massive control over his powers and all. Wish I had.".
"We all have wishes we should have done in the first place.", Logan murmured in agreement, and Jean replied, "Like admitting that you still have feelings for me.", and Logan looked at her in shock.
"Oh, don't worry, I didn't read your mind. I always keep my promises, but I didn't promise never to read your aura.", Jean replied. "Ah.", Logan simply said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, now I just feel...".
"Embarrassed?", Jean raised an eyebrow. "Of sorts, yes...", Logan nodded lightly with a sigh.
Jean replied, "Logan, I have grown wiser and older for two years, wandering in the X-wing ship, and four months, on Howard's Earth. I have grieved for everyone, for Scott, for you...I moved on for the sake of the others...Seeing you in the flesh...it's like you came back from the dead...I woke up every morning all this week, thinking that it was a dream...reuniting with Storm, Shadowcat, Beast, and you...".
Logan exhaled softly, "Me too...Jeannie, I..I'm not Scott...", looking at Jean with an almost concerned and gentle expression he rarely had before.
"I know.", Jean gave a small sigh as she looked back at him. "And I'm glad you didn't try anything to try and forge a rift between all of us.".
"Out of the stories I've heard about that Derek cocksucker...", Logan spat on the ground by just saying this name. "I know that's the last thing I would want.".
Jean smiled softly, "You don't have to change for me, Logan...I know you are different from Scott, and you aren't a monster like that Derek Dietl.", before exhaling, "My heart broke when I felt his mind dying when he fought to the last minute with that robot...I got better over the time I was up in space and all...I think Scott would want me to be happy again, and if you are that chance to make me happy again, I'll take the risk.", looking at Logan with a sincere smile.
"Even if I am far older than you, and well, rough around the edges?", Logan exhaled, and Jean chuckled, "Even then. Will you take the risk, and start with, say, a kiss? After all, like you said, we all have wishes we should have done in the first place.", with a soft, patient smile.
Logan shook his head, "Wait a sec, Jean... I... we're going too fast... I can't believe I'm saying that...", with a small huff. "Afraid that I'm only seeing you as like a runner up prize because of Scott?", Jean raised an eyebrow as Logan nodded.
"How can I not think that way? You obviously cared more about him to begin with; and I respected that. If I was just younger, I thought maybe I would've had a better chance.", Logan sighed deeply.
Jean walked closer, raising a hand to rest on his cheek, "Logan, you're not a runner up prize. You're special all on your own. Yes, I cared a lot about Scott, but he's truly gone. And I'm not the type of goody-good woman anymore, not ever since I lost everything I thought was gone, and I am not a teenager anymore nor a young woman anymore who wants to have fun...I want to be happy again, Logan, and if I am going to love a rough-tumble, gruff on the outside, and gentle on the inside, and passionate man like you, I don't care what anyone says.".
Logan exhaled deeply, "Jeannie, you're just as beautiful as the day I last saw you... I am terrified of losing you again...", and Jean whispered as she caressed Logan's stubble, "You don't have to be. I'm here, truly real.", before tiptoeing up to kiss him slowly, waiting for Logan to hold her closer or push her away.
Logan did nothing for a moment before he wrapped his arms around her tight and took her in for the kiss. The two stayed together for a good thirty seconds before they broke the kiss. "Still feel like a runner up?", Jean asked.
Logan shook his head softly, "Yes and no...", and Jean looked at him for a moment before speaking softly, "Do you trust me?".
"With my life, Jeannie.", Logan whispered, and Jean nodded, "Hold on tight, this might be a bit dizzy.", with Logan blinking in confusion yet held on tight, and Jean fire-flashed them to the small lake in the woods.
Logan looked around, "Are we..How did you-?", and Jean smiled, "Fire-flash, similar to Nightcrawler, except it's by phoenix fire. Discovered it on the day we escaped in the X-Wing. If it wasn't for me, I would never have saved the group including myself...", with a relieved sigh.
"Incredible...As I thought I knew you already, you keep surprising me, Jean.", Logan laughed softly before smiling softly, relaxing as it's the woods, and for some reason, he felt more comfortable in the woods all his life, probably because of his animalistic nature at times.
Jean giggled softly, gently walking out of Logan's embrace, "Thank you, Logan...But I am not done yet.", removing her shirt and pants and shoes as Logan stuttered in shock and awe, "J-Jean, what are you doing?".
Looking over her shoulder, Jean smiled, "Going for a swim...Care to join me?", turning around to reveal herself in her bra and panties. Logan stared at her, realizing that his beloved Jean Grey truly has changed from a quiet, caring, fiery, and self-conscious woman to a bold, brave, confident woman, and yet she's still caring, compassionate, and fiery, over the course of the past two years or so.
"Uh, yeah, but I didn't bring any-", Logan started to say. "I know.", Jean chuckled. "Of course, we can easily just keep something on if you don't mind some wet undergarments... unless, you don't mind if we got full on skinny dipping.".
Logan widened his eyes in even more shock, "You, you...", and Jean raised an eyebrow, "I can tell that you are still undecided...Maybe this will help.", before stepping into the water, diving, and resurfacing a moment later, whipping her hair over in the air, floating on her back, droplets of water everywhere, her undergarments transparent as she looked at Logan with a coy smile, "Well?".
"You really are not the same girl I know, Jean...", Logan said as she smiled. "I've matured, Logan... I've had to... I had to basically take the lead... and even then...", Jean glanced away.
"Burden of leadership, I know...", Logan stopped her mid-sentence. Jean smiled at him, glad that he understood everything in that sentence...After all, Logan was a teacher, a protector, a fighter, and a survivor himself...Heck, Jean has so much more in common with Logan now than ever before...
Logan looked at her, and exhaled as he removed his clothes, only keeping his boxers on...He is still a bit self-conscious about himself...He's rough around the edges, literally hairy, not that hairy as Beast, thankfully, but still, and he got some bad habits like smoking, his attitude at times, and of course, cursing.
Jean swept her eyes over him, a smile coming across her lips, appreciating the muscles, the hair, and the posture of his body, and she can't keep her eyes off the boxers, seeing quite the size of his limp manhood before it disappeared under the water as Logan swam into the water.
"Care for a race, Logan?", Jean smirked before swimming off into deeper waters, hearing Logan's roar of laughter, "Hey, no fair!", as he went after her.
The two of them enjoyed their time swimming and racing; though it certainly got competitive a few times as they keep trying to win a best of amongst each other.
Eventually, Jean had to surrender to Logan when he caught her during another race, and he laughed, "Got you, Jeannie! You sure are fast.", and Jean giggled as she looked at Logan over her shoulder, "Well, I had to keep in shape in the X-wing for two years somehow.".
"Sounds about right.", Logan smirked as he moved, and his limp manhood grazed Jean's vagina, and Jean gave a little moan of surprise and pleasure, and Logan froze, realizing that he is right behind her, "Oh, shit.", starting to back away when Jean whipped around, looking at him.
"Logan, please, don't go...That felt good.", Jean replied with an awed, curious smile, and Logan stopped, looking at her in confusion, surprised to see curiosity in her eyes when he realized something was up..."You...You didn't do the act, did you?".
Jean sighed heavily, "Scott expected me to be the better of myself meaning that I was supposed to wait until our wedding night, but he never proposed...I was so frustrated...I was literally pleasuring myself all the time...It was like he wanted to be the perfect student all around while I never worked to be perfect as everyone presumed me to be already perfect...".
Logan widened his eyes, "Wait, was that the reason you wanted to have a little break from him that one time before he literally went to beg you to take him back, thinking that it was serious?".
She gave a small nod as Logan sighed. "Christ, Jean, I'm sorry...", Logan apologized. "It's alright, it's not your fault, I... I just... it was so frustrating to try to keep up that act, to at least try to be a good role model... and mainly stop being human.", Jean sighed softly.
Logan blinked in surprise before he got closer and wrapped his arms around her, "Jean, you don't have to stop being human for the sake of being a good role model. I mean, your humanity is one of the best features of you. Without humanity, you would never have been able to be so caring, so compassionate, so good-hearted, and loving...That is what a good role model means to be...I mean, I saw you with all the kids at the mansion, and here...Hell, you were the midwife for Storm's baby girl!".
"I know.", Jean nodded as she looked back at him. "I've kinda figured it out now, but before, it just was a mess that I couldn't sort out.".
Logan chuckled softly, "Sounds like me...I was literally a mess myself before I came to the school. I kept sticking around for some reason, and I found why. The school became a home, somewhere I belonged, somewhere I could help...Storm, Hank, and Kitty kept me sane...I lost everything, but yet not everyone...And then you came back...Like you, I kept thinking that it was a dream...and now...you somehow want to be with me...well, all of me...for some reason I am still struggling to believe.".
