Jacob felt like he was gonna be sick. His head was spinning and he was ready to throw up his lunch. His eyes slowly opened and he noticed the roof of the car and quickly shut them. His gut twisted as he held himself back from shaking. This wasn't good in the slightest. Now he and Priss were now being taken to aqua city by two boomers. At least he had proof now that he was right, or she'd think he was a rat and would put a bullet in his gut for it. It's gonna be a long night. He thought as a pair of voices began. Obviously the boomers.

"I can't help but think we should end those two and be done with it" The one in a passenger seat said, jutting his finger to the two in the back.

The larger one and shrugged. His dark eyes locked dead front. "Frederic want's info from them and I'm not pissing him off" The driver responded with a light sense of fear from his voice box.

It took his skinny companion to process it and he nodded in agreement. Frederic wasn't one you cross lightly, unless one had a death wish. Jacob listened mostly waiting for Priss to wake up. Peeking with one eye he saw both Boomer's in front. None in the back thankfully due to lack of space. Two vs two, just like my highschool days. He mused to himself. Those fights were against humans around his age and strength, he didn't even win most of them for pity's sake. The boomers were either 2 to 5 times stronger than a human unless Jacob was wrong then it could be 7 times or even more. Christ this is gonna be rough. Jacob lamented sardonically. His head rested on the window and he saw car after car pass. He would have prefer to be in either one of them than this one. If only. It was then Priss started to wake. She meekly moaned as her eyes slowly opened. Jacob readied to brace himself.

"Faster we get to Aqua city the better. The longer I have to wear this skin the more I feel like them" The skinny one said and Priss realized Jacob had told her it was true.

She glanced over to see him giving her a 'I'm ready when you are' look. She slowly nodded. What he says is true or a Genom rat. She thought as the conversation continued.

The larger one chuckled amusingly. "I see little buddy. Once we wring it outta them well ditch the skin" the larger one sounded more intelligent and Jacob had expected.

Anything other curve balls?. He thought about waiting on Priss. He knew he was gonna feel it in the morning, if Priss did kill him afterwards. Priss either by coincidence or universal design leapt forwards, grabbed the steering wheel and jerked it fully to the right. Grabbing on Jacob suddenly thrown into the door as the car tipped violently off of its wheels. Déjà vu. Jacob thought as the car flipped on its side and then its roof before slamming into the reinforced concrete wall. Jacob could feel his bones rattling as he pulled himself out along with Priss. Both boomers remained stunned as they slowly recovered from the crash. Both looked at each other in bewilderment.

Priss pulled herself up right and staggered away from the crash. "Fuckers can't even crash normally" She cursed as the shaking slowly faded away.

Jacob then found his footing. His brain felt like he had been smashed into the front of his skull. "Two crashes and I'm still alive!" He said his voice growing shaky.

Priss looked at him oddly as if he was crazy. Two crashes?. She mused when suddenly the car exploded. Jacob grabbed Priss and dropped down to the ground using himself to shield her from shrapnel. Bits of metal shot over the two and by sheer luck didn't hit them. Jacob internally chuckled. Priss's plot armor at its finest. He mused as the two pulled themselves back up. Feeling around his chest Jacob found nothing.

"You ok?" He asked Priss, his eyes finding the biker who was currently on the phone. Now he was calling the cops.

Jacob shivered. Don't wanna be here when the fuzz shows up. He thought fearfully. Priss breathed a sigh of relief.

She then saw the bike and its rider. She then looked at Jacob. "Yeah I'm fine. You're a real dumbass... thanks" She grunted reluctantly.

That Boomer will be out any moment. He thought before nodding. "It's alright. We're gonna need a bike" He jutted his thumb towards the biker who was on the pay phone.

Priss nodded silently. If he is a rat I'll blast him. She told herself as they began towards the motorcycle. Jacob then could hear a loud grinding noise from the car.

"What the... oh fuck!" Priss said seeing the boomer pulling itself up through the hole it tore open with its hands.

All of its synthetic flesh had been burned away as its dark blue metal gleamed in the light from the street lights. Jacob stepped back in horror. He'd never been this close to one. It turned its dense metal head towards them, its optics flashing brilliantly. Oh fuck me he's pissed. Jacob began moving more quickly as Priss reached the bike.

Priss quickly mounted the motorcycle with its engine still running. "I'll bring it back!" She told the owner before gunning the throttle.

"Hey!" He said but fell silent when he saw the boomer. The man began running the other direction in pure fear!. They could have the bike for all he cared.

Priss slowed next to Jacob and he quickly mounted behind her. Before he could even say anything Priss gunned it and Jacob held onto her for dear life. Blaring towards the boomer Priss kicked the bike onto its back wheel. Jacob yelped as they slammed into the boomer sending it spiraling to the ground. Racing down the road Jacob looked back to see the boomer rising to its peds. On its back a rocket booster engine extended outwards. Jacob gulped and shuddered. I forgot they could do that. He chided himself as they continued putting distance from the robot. Barely from the corner of his eye he saw a police car blazing by before it slammed on the brakes.

Leon swerved the car around and slipped through a 10 foot gap onto the other side of the highway. Watching the boomer he gritted his teeth. These things won't quit. He thought of slamming the gas and shooting after them. Tires squealed and kicked up smoke as they gripped the asphalt for dear life. Grabbing the police scanner microphone he hooked it to his collar.

Shifting up in the third gear he watched as the boomer continued to gain distance on him. "This is officer McNichol, I'm currently in pursuit of a Bu-55c class boomer down Aqua city highway. Send backup immediately!" He barked into the microphone before shifting up to fourth gear.

Across town.

Nene picked up on the stress in her coworkers tone as she looked over to where Sylia was standing. She was waiting on Priss to make contact again. There were no reports of anyone being dead yet so if she was alive she would report. Despite the cool and calm nature she actually wanted to scream.

Linna leaned forwards reading the full thing. "Both female and male being chased by boomer. Both early 20s and racing to Aqua city" She mostly read herself but others listen anyway.

Sylia found that disturbing, the man she saw on the phone looked 20 or a year or less. Surely it can't be?. She wondered about the odds of it being boomers that wanted the girl. Anything was possible in Mega-Tokyo so it wasn't too far of a stretch.

Nene slid off her headset. "It has to be Priss. She probably slipped away with the other guy" She threw her two cents in.

Linna agreed with her. "She has a knack for getting in trouble and will need us to help bail her out" She said looking at Sylia.

Sylia followed her gut and went with it. "Ladies, let's move out" She said, which was music to the other's ears.

Nene grinned before standing up. "They won't know what hit them" She almost cheered making her way to the door.

Sylia was the last out. Hoping Priss could avoid the boomer till they got there. She didn't want to bury another close one. She couldn't bear to think of it.

Back with Priss and Jacob.

"What do you want me to say?" Jacob asked as walked with Priss.

They left the bike outside on the bridge and basically ran across the rolling bridge towards the incomplete Aqua city. The boomer had blazed over them moving deeper into the city. Priss kept a hand closer to her pistol as they continued walking. She glared at him as they rounded a corner.

She then grabbed her pistol and unholstered it. Grabbing him she yanked him to her. "First you know those bastards were coming. Second, you know what's really going on and I want to know now" she pressed the barrel into his chest right where his heart would be.

Jacob looked down, his blood going cold. That was a gun pointed at his heart and she was ready to outright murder him!. He had dodged death at least twice (or so he thought) and this looked up in the end if he didn't tell her.

Nodding he relented. "Genom staged the kidnapping with boomers. The girl's a boomer created by the USSD and is a part of the laser satellites currently over our heads" Priss now satisfied pulled the gun away from his chest. Jacob shook as he stepped back.

"Now was that so hard?" She said sliding the gun away. Jacob shook his head, remaining silent. "Good, come on. Let's see if you're telling the truth" She added before walking again.

Jacob followed her, his right hand shaking as he continued. Grabbing it with his other hand he forced it to stop. As much as he was tempted to smack her he found it hard to blame her, besides she had the gun.

He grimaced, staring directly into the back of her head. "You're fucking crazy" He muttered as she glared at him again.

He remained firm this time and did flinch. Priss then smirked. "You too" She muttered back to him.

Jacob grunted but didn't add fuel to the fire. It was about to get a whole lot worse from here. If I survive this I'm gonna drink myself to sleep. He thought as he continued following her. If he didn't need her and the others' help he would've left a long time ago.

Just outside of Aqua city.

Leon glanced over to the hulking mass across the bridge. From the forward trunk he grabbed a high powered rifle. If there were multiple boomers he would be swarmed and torn apart but the thought of taking as many of them out with him brought him a minor bit of comfort. Grabbing a small belt of grenades as well he loaded the gun. I should have become a real estate agent. He thought with a joking grin. He knew his partner wasn't gonna like it but if Leon died he wouldn't have to worry about that. If only Daily was here. He mused. Packing a few extra rounds he took a long breath.

"Good night Aqua city" He muttered, now walking across the bridge.

Quickening his pace he briskly walked across the bridge keeping his eyes darting around for any attackers. Old habits die hard and he knew it from his days as a grunt. Those were the worst of times. A much younger man who was molded into the one that you see today. No he had business to take care of... of the Boomer kind.

With the Knight Sabers.

Mackie was driving roughly 20 km over the speed limit down the highway towards Aqua city. It was relatively deserted all things considered and was tempted to floor it. If he did that a sudden deceleration wouldn't actually be a good thing. Sylia would most likely kill him for it. Priss really got herself into trouble now. He thought. His grip tightening around the steering wheel. She was a bit of a handful at times and even he found her a bit much. But she made up for it in being the hard hitting one and being more chill when not pushed around. At least it wasn't her time of the month, those Mackie knew were when Priss was one you don't wanna go near on bad days. Mackie shivered. He could still remember the lamp she threw at him, nearly took his head off. Crazy but she had to calm down in the year of knowing him. Time did he some of her wounds.

With Priss and Jacob.

The area was brighter than the others. The light source was coming from the opposite side of the room at a wall. On the wall was a hand-drawn map of Mega-Tokyo and a little girl with pure blonde hair looking no older than 6 or 7 years old continued to pay them no mind. Jacob felt his blood cold as he and Priss looked at one another.

He then held out his hand. "Give me the gun" He said flatly.

Priss wasn't so forthcoming. "And blow me away... I'm that dumb" She chided him.

Jacob sighed. "I want you to grab her and run. I'll deal with the boomers who'll waste no time in tearing us to fucking shreds" He retorted. "Would you want too use that'll peashooter on them?" He added with a slight tilt of the head.

She shook her head. "Just grab a girl and fucking run" She replied firmly.

Jacob sighed. "Your funeral" He said with a shrug of the shoulders.

They then continued their approach. Priss eyeing him as they got within spitting distance. The little girl Cynthia looked at them and then turned her attention back to her work.

Jacob then took a knee next to the girl. "Hello Cynthia, mind if I ask where your parents are?" He asked in a kind tone.

Priss then tilted her head. The little girl that looked at him and shrugged. "I've never had a family. Family's don't want boomers" She admitted continuing to sketch with a piece of chalk.

Priss looked in surprise. That clever fucker. She thought, swallowing her hatred. Jacob glanced around a bit of dread beginning to boil from the deepest part of his gut. He hated times like this.

"Well Priss, do you know anyone willing to take her in aside from the USSD" He said as the two looked at her.

Priss saw how adorable Cynthia looked despite being a boomer underneath that fleshy exterior. 20 million right there and he was talking to it as if it were a real person and not a boomer. He didn't even seem afraid of her.

Priss very reluctantly nodded. "I do, but I didn't expect this" She then gestured to the map.

Jacob smirked. "That's because you're looking at a part connected to a satellite. One of the many weapons hanging over our heads" He said, catching Cynthia off guard.

"How did you know?" She asked him curiously.

He then turned his attention to the boomer girl. "Saw it on TV" he grinned.

Cynthia looked at him confusingly as Priss only face palmed. He's a nut. She thought getting real tired of it. She just thought he was another loon who was off his meds. Suddenly there was clapping from the other end of the room and it only drew closer along with several heavy footsteps. The main event was about to begin. Jacob stood looking towards the clapping with the others. 4 boomers, one was completely shedded out of its skin while the others still have theirs for now. Jacob quickly saw Frederic.

"Well isn't this cute. Rather kind to her despite what she is..." Frederic said, hinting at the obvious.

He looked at each of them. "Mason is committed, I'll give him that. But I'm afraid I can't let that happen" He said as he saw Cynthia shivering in fear.

"Oh he is but I doubt there's anything you can do about that" A female boomer with short brown hair and wore a red jacket with black pants laughed and began charging at him.

Priss instinctively drew her pistol. Jacob run!" She bellowed.

Jacob then grabbed Cynthia and began running like hell!. Cynthia was quick enough to keep up with him mainly thanks to her enhanced strength.

Frederic then pointed to the boomer who survived a car accident. "You after her and don't kill them, we need that info!" He demanded. Once the skin of Boomer was gone he smirked. Humans were fragile creatures and one going up against a boomer with only a pistol was suicide.

Priss brought the gun up and with the rapidly approaching Boomeroid. Her hand gripped tightly around the pistol he felt pulled the trigger. Shot kicked the gun up but the bullet remained true and landed in the gut area of the female boomer. She staggered a bit as Priss brought the gun back down and braced herself this time. Firing another 2 went into the chest and another went in the gut. She doubled forward landing on her hands and knees. She gasped and gagged before orange fluid began staining her shirt and quickly shot out of her mouth along with the 4 bullets. The others only laughed as the femme pulled herself up.

Priss felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "Oh shit" she muttered, pulling out another clip from her pocket. Sliding it in she began backing up.

Bringing the gun back up the female boomer charge him once again this time ducking when she fired. Then she rammed Priss in her midsection, sending her sprawling to the ground. Her gun launched from his fingertips across the floor. Damn it!. She cursed as she coughed. She hit like a truck going lightspeed!. Groaning she suddenly grabbed by the back of a shirt and hauled up to her feet. She caught a glimpse of the gun only 10 feet away. It was practically taunting her. A wash of fear came over her. So this was how she was going to die?. Wasn't the best way she imagined going out but there were probably worse ways than this.

The female boomer then pushed Priss up against the wall and stared him down. "Should've brought a bigger gun" She told him before punching her in the gut.

Priss heaved out a breath as he shuddered from the the hit. She nearly fell over but was held up one handed. That hand quickly found her neck and lifted her off his feet. Slowly the boomer began to tighten her grip but not enough to crush her neck. She squeezed just enough so he couldn't breathe. Priss began clawing at her in desperation panic filling her eyes. The other boomers watched as the humans struggled trying to breathe but unable to. The female boomer smirked as she continued to hold Priss up. Her desperate clawing had no effect on her. She enjoyed watching him struggle. She was beginning the weaken. Priss was beginning to grow sluggish in her movements. Her lungs were burning for air as he vision slowly began to darken. So many regrets began flooding to the surface as she now saw her death rapidly approaching. Priss wanted to cry for help but it would be useless. All she could do was die and hope Jacob and Cynthia made it out. Suddenly without warning a blast tore through arm of the boomer. Orange fluid begins splashing everywhere as the fingers locked around Priss's neck suddenly loosened. Pulling a hand away she gasped deeply as the boomer clenched it wound.

The boomers looked up seeing 3 armor clad figure's above. Frederic cursed under his breath. Knight Sabers. He realized in horror. Every boomer's worst nightmare was now on their doorstep. Priss quickly ran grabbing the gun before feeling. Frederic paid it no mind.

"Oh just great. Everything was going to plan and now this happens to me" Frederic groaned lightly.

The lead one dropped down kicking the female boomer away from Priss. The hard rocker was surprised and relieved to see Sylia again. Sylia's teal colored armor glinted in the moonlight as she deployed her blade.

Suddenly an electronically filtered voice sounded from the hardsuit. "Miss, I suggest you leave this to the professionals" Sylia said, faking not knowing Priss.

"Smart ass" Priss whispered.

Sylia smirked underneath her helmet. It was standard procedure and the hard rocking Knight Saber acknowledged by running after Jacob and Cynthia who were being pursued. He'd better not be dead or so help me god!. Priss thought as Sylia began engaging the boomers with the others.

With Jacob and Cynthia.

Winded was one way to put how he felt. Cynthia didn't have this problem and looked around. They had taken many turns and even looped around a few times and it seemed they had lost their pursuer for now. Thank goodness. She thought, leading Jacob to a wall to catch his breath.

She was only as tall as his waist but she managed to keep Jacob upright. "Easy now, I think we lost him" She said, continuing to look around nervously.

Jacob nodded, wiping the sweat from his brow. "I'm not so sure about that. We've gotta get moving again" He said in a hurried panic.

She could see the fear in his eyes and wondered what he knew that she didn't. "What's gonna happen?" She asked him as they began moving down the access corridor.

Sounds of explosions rang out behind them in the distance. Jacob grimaced as he walked. Don't have much time. He thought grimly. There was also the fact he was kind of lost and trying to find his way out. It was an absolute mess!.

"Frederic is gonna start tearing through the place like tinfoil and not too long after he's gonna be killed and that's when the satellites begins firing" He explained the matter factly.

Cynthia looked at him in confusion. "I'm currently connected to that thing unless someone overrides me. It won't be firing anytime soon" She told him, earning a brief sigh of relief.

Last thing he needed was a laser round falling on top of his head. He and Cynthia then reached an intersection. Looking up and down each passageway Jacob grunted.

"Do any of these lead out of this mess?" He mused to himself.

"Left leads to a Service ladder which leads to the bridge out" Cynthia said moving towards the left passageway.

Jacob looked at her confusingly. "Satellites?" He asked her.

She simply nodded. Jacob then followed her. Hopefully she's right about this. He thought continuing to follow her. Despite her childlike appearance she was far more intelligent than him and mature for that matter. Suddenly he was kicked from his thoughts when loud thudding footsteps approached up from behind. Jacob looked and gasped in horror. Skinless boomer from the car had found them!. The massive downside was they were in a narrow passage with nowhere to take cover. Picking up Cynthia Jacob broke into a mad dash. She saw the boomer as it began after them in a leisurely jog. It was practically taunting them.

"There no escaping me boy. Give her up and I might let you go" It said thunderously.

Jacob wasn't buying it. Increasing speed he continued down the hall knowing full well what would happen if caught. He looked for a smaller access way where it couldn't reach them. Come on, give me something to work with. He continued looking as he ran. The Boomer was now coming at them even faster now. Jacob could practically feel like not even 10 feet away from him. Then he saw an access corridor rapidly approaching on the right. The door was practically wide open and it was small enough for him and Cynthia to get in and too small for the boomer. Quickly turning he and Cynthia dove straight in and into the darkness. The boomer paused its mass looming over the entranceway. Scanning inside it saw the boy continuing to move down the access corridor away from the boomer. It hesitated firing its laser knowing most certainly he would destroy Cynthia in the process.

"Blast" It cursed in dismay. Frederic wasn't gonna like this. Then the sounds of explosions got louder. "Great the Knight Sabers are here" It grumbled to itself. Now it was at a crossroads. It could either go back to help its comrades or remain on the hunt and most likely be the last one alive. It was a pretty easy choice. He'd rather die with his comrades and then be the last one to face the Knight sabres alone.

With the Knight Sabers.

The female boomer was pretty much handicap due to having only one arm left but it was still dangerous regardless of the slight disadvantage. Linna backpedaled a few feet as the female boomer swung a fist at her and missed. The suits computer calculated a perfect striking angle and Linna smirked. The femme through another punch and Linna quickly swung her nanomolecular ribbons which sliced for the arm without resistance. The boomer howled in pain as it staggered back. Not missing a beat Linna jumped at it plunging her knuckle bombers into its chest which suddenly exploded from the inside out. Retracting her right hand she turned her attention to the others. One down, the rest to go. She thought, seeing the leader engaging Sylia. Nene was dealing with the other two and was holding up surprisingly well. She wasn't the best of the Sabres but she was capable of at least taking care of herself.

Most of his shirt was shredded and the skin underneath was completely gone. He didn't resemble the others. Underneath the clothing was nothing but long metal wires which allowed him to move. What he truly was is a mystery to the Knight Sabers.

"I expected more from a group of your reputation" Frederic said.

Sylia swung at him with her deployed blade and he quickly dodged to the right. She then roundhouse kicked him across the face. Part of the synthetic flesh tore away as he staggered sideways as orange fluid spilled out. He straightened himself quickly and glared at Sylia. In a brief burst of electric energy the last bit of his clothes and skin burned away revealing everything. Even his arms were metal cables.

Sylia couldn't believe it!. "What are you?" She couldn't help but ask.

The boomer chuckled. "I am just an experiment. A harbinger of your destruction!" He said his long almost tentacle-like cables digging through the metal.

Suddenly he began to the suck power from the construction site. Lights dimmed and electrical panels slowly died.

Sylia extended her wings and quickly jetted away. Not a second too soon was when the boomer began to strike with extending cable alarms but now she was out of reach in the sky above. Things just got a whole lot more hectic. Firing down upon him he shrugged off each of the shots as if they were pellets. Sylia landed on an upper level section with a sense of dread coming over her. Never had she ever seen anything like this!.

With Jacob and Cynthia.

"Well now we're really lost" Jacob commented with arms extended in front of him.

Cynthia trailed behind her enhanced vision allowing her to see in the pitch blackness. She could see the outline of another passageway. Human eyes are so weak. She thought, switching over to night vision. Checking her connection to the satellite above she found an exit quickly.

She moved up ahead of Jacob. He was practically blind. "There's a turn up ahead" She told him before grasping his hand. "Come I'll get us outta here" She added.

Jacob sheepishly nodded. "Ok, lead the way" He said meekly.

With Priss.

She finally reached the opposite side of the bridge to see Mackie waiting. He waved her down, relieved to see she was even alive. Priss barely noticed his concern. Moving up close she stopped.

"Did two others come by here?. A guy my age and a girl who looks around six or seven with blonde hair" She asked Mackie.

Mackie shook his head. "No, they must've gotten caught or gotten lost" Mackie said, keeping a level head.

Priss gritted her teeth. "Damn it!" She cursed, pushing her way past Mackie as she marched up the truck's ramp.

Mackie recovered and saw her close the door. "You're not in the condition to fight you psycho!" He shouted, knowing full well she would ignore him anyway.

Mackie sighed leaning up against the side of the truck. She was probably already naked by now and he didn't even turn the cameras on. Oh just my luck. He thought as he looked down at his watch. It was almost 12 o'clock at night and the battle was still raging.

Inside Priss slid on her legs into the hard-suit. The cushion inside slowly heat it up to her body temperature while she leaned forward. Sliding her arms in she pulled back locking the back part with the front part. Automatic locks slipped into place as Priss grabbed her helmet. Grabbing her helmet off the rack she slid it on and locked it into place. The internal processor came to life and now she could see as a targeting radical popped up along with several other vital functions from power consumption to pressurization which she wouldn't need at the moment. Sylia did built them tough as nails. Priss mused, linking her hard-suit to her motor-slave. She couldn't help but smirk a little.

"Time to crash a party" She said before opening the door.

With Jacob and Cynthia.

Both pulled themselves out from the small access way just big enough for Jacob to squeeze through. He was tired and ready to collapse. The only thing keeping him up at the moment was Cynthia's safety.

He looked up now seeing the dark night sky again. "So where are we now?" He asked Cynthia who was looking around getting a lay of the land.

She then looked at him. "1000 feet from shore. Officer McNichol is currently around the corner and coming our way" She told Jacob.

Jacob felt better knowing that. "Thanks, best you play like a real kid" Jacob said, picking her up.

"I know that. Just make sure you don't sell me out" She replied.

Jacob halfheartedly looked at her. "Never crossed my mind" He muttered as they began walking up to the corner.

The Leon rounded The corner with a high-powered assault rifle in hand. Jacob slowed raising a hand. Leon saw him and Cynthia nearly shouted in suprise. A child in a place like this!. He thought completely taken aback by it.

Leon lowered the high powered rifle. "What the hell are you two doing here?" He inquired.

Jacob looked Leon dead in the eyes. "Boomers kidnapped the girl. I had to do something" Jacob said, telling half truth of it.

Leon was a bit puzzled. He could've sworn he had seen this guy before. He looked very familiar to the detective's eyes. Leon brushed it off thinking he was overthinking everything.

"Is this true?" Leon asked Cynthia.

She nodded. "They were big and scary... if not for Jacob, I'd be a goner" She said shivering in his arms.

Leon nodded and pointed. "Around the corner and two rights and that'll put you on the road out" he told them, stepping past them with the rifle at the ready.

"Thanks, good luck in there officer" Jacob said before he began moving again.

Leon paused, he didn't tell him he was an officer of the law. He then brushed it off and just focused on continuing. Not many people carried A.D. police hardware and The only ones to were officers or crooks with a lot of money.

Once Jacob and Cynthia went around the corner they relaxed and both looked at one another.

"You can let me down now" She said dryly.

Jacob compiled. "Not bad acting, hopefully this ends after we cross the bridge" He said as they continued.

Cynthia smirked. "If I really wanted, I can blow this place up in a heartbeat. Just say the word" She saw the disturbed look on Jacobs face. She practically gave him the bomb detonator.

"I'd rather not, I don't plan on becoming the next Oppenheimer anytime soon" Jacob responded.

Cynthia nodded respecting his opinion. "The destroyer of worlds, interesting analogy" She commented.

Jacob shrugged. "It was less obvious than Brain Wilson" He responded.

Suddenly there was the roar of a motorcycle engine. A red motorcycle with press on it in full hard-suit barreled around the corner and passed them at breakneck speeds. Everything's going alright. He smirked as the entire area began to shake. Frederic was becoming a monster.

"Oh that's not good" Cynthia said clearly seeing something he couldn't.

She could probably see everything from up there and he could tell she wanted to fire the satellite. "Don't do it. Trust me they can handle it. I know it" He told her resting her hand on her shoulder as they continued walking.

"How can you be so sure?" She inquired of him.

Jacob then smirked ever so slightly. His eyes were ever so slight but yet so sure of himself. "Because I've seen it before. On TV" he responded.

Cynthia then let go of her connection to the satellite. Deciding to trust him. If it did not go as he said she would waste aqua city without hesitation.

Back with the Knight Sabers.

Multiple metal tentacles snaked at her. Priss duked and fired her rifle, taking out as many as possible in a single burst. Gritted her teeth as her targeting computer was going crazy trying to ping them all and feed the data back to the motor-slave. Come on don't crap out on me. She internally begged the computer. The long tunnel seems like it went on forever but the end was only logical. She felt one of the tentacles slam into the thruster on the left shoulder area. Quickly she blasted it off. Orange fluid splashed over her and the motor-slave. She could see a faint red glow in the distance and felt a bit of hope. Almost there, just stay on target. She told herself shunting power to thrust. The engines roared louder as she raced down the tunnel way towards the end. Firing round, after round she shot down more of the snaking tentacles. More orange fluid spilled out onto her as she reached the opening. The chamber walls were entirely made up of rows of wire colored dark gray as in the middle a head rested on what was left of Frederic's body. As she slowed, multiple tentacles sneaked around her from the arms and legs pinning her in place.

"Shit!" Priss cursed with venom.

Pulling one of her arms free she lined up a canon with the tentacle holding the motor-slaves gun arm. Firing a few kinetic rounds it loosened just enough for her to move it into firing position. Doing so she lined it up Frederic's head. Her finger hovering over the trigger she channeled all of her hatred for the killing blow. The boomers' eyes glowed as it looked at her. It could've ripped her apart by now but it didn't want to. He hadn't wanted to end up like this and now here he was waiting on her to end him.

"Come on baby, light my fire!" She sang, switching to full auto and pulling the trigger.

Suddenly the head was impacted by nearly a dozen bullets ripping into and tearing off bits as it's brain was shredded to ribbons as bullets bounced about inside. The head rolled back, it's neck joints completely shot. Suddenly the whole structure began to groan. Priss then triggered the ejection sequence. I'm not sticking around for the after party. She told herself thinking Aqua city was falling into the sea. The explosive bolts detonated and she was launched back up the corridor away from the motor-slave. Using her JumpPack she avoids obstacles as she flew out the gaping maw that was the boomers' large form. Sylia caught her midair bringing Priss back down to the ground.

Nene cheered. "Yeah not even a Kaiju can stop the Knight Sabers!" Her own armor was stained with boomer fluid too and had also taken a few hits.

Priss smirked at that remark. "Oh please, I'd like to see you try flying down that passage" She shot at Nene.

Nene shook her head. "No thanks, Unlike you I don't have a death-wish" The former hacker said immediately backing off.

Sylvia then noticed something approaching quickly. It was an osprey coming in. Linna saw it too and the markings on the side.

"What's Genom doing here?" She said everyone watched as the helicopter hovered over the dead mutant boomer.

One of the helicopter doors opened and a man peeked out with black hair. Nene zoomed in with her camera, getting a full view of a man's face. She immediately began recording.

Sylia resisted the temptation of fire on the helicopter. The pilots were most likely innocent along with the other passengers. As much as she wanted to, she didn't need the blood on her hands.

She then turned to the others. "Come on, let's get out of here. Just being near him is enough to make my stomach turn" She said, beginning to move away from the site.

The others began following her. "I've got a tape if we ever need it" Nene said the thought of 20 million on her mind.

Linna smirked. "How about we print a copy off and put it on a dartboard. Or better yet create a training dummy we pummel" She said slyly.

Priss laughed. "Oh, I'd love to see that, I'll have the first 20 rounds with it" She said with a glance back to the helicopter as it left.

The job was done.

With Leon.

He had seen it all from his vantage point. A few feet in front of him was a dead boomer, its head completely blown off by a high-powered rifle round. It was a small consolation prize. Either way the monster they fought was dead and now laid lifeless beyond. How many men would it have took to kill it?. Leon wondered in respect for the Knight sabers already at an all-time high. Tonight he wouldn't have to see more friends die. He then turned and made his way back to the ladder. Hopefully those two are alright. He thought regretting leaving them. Shaking it from his mind he slung the gun over his shoulder. Tonight's report was going to be interesting to say the least. What he didn't know was someone else had a story to tell and it was more far-fetched than what Leon saw tonight. He too probably wouldn't understand it just as the one telling the story.
