So I had this idea for a story for quite some time now after I got into the Fate/stay night fandom and wanted to give it a try.
First things first, before we begin I have to warn you that my knowledge about Nasuverse is not the greatest as most of it comes from the single watch I had of UBW and the Dean's Fate route adaptation that I dropped after the first few episodes so expect many inconsistencies with the lore of the Fate world as I juggle my lack of knowledge with trying to mix it with Shaman King world and keep it vague enough so that different supernatural stories could be fit into it.
I don't plan to update it regularly like my other story but I should be able to update it every month or two (I wrote this chapter whenever I had time on weekends and it took me around a bit over a month.).
Anyway here's the first chapter!
Fuyuki city was a place of many mysteries.
Every sixty years or so for the last few centuries unexplained gas leaks and disappearances had been periodically taking noticeable portions of the city's populace away. Overall thousands of different people had simply vanished from the city throughout the years.
And that wasn't taking in to account all the unsolved murders that were all blamed on all the mafia families present in the city.
The amount of unsolved murder cases in Fuyuki was so high that some people thought the city was cursed and in the last couple of days that amount inexplicably skyrocketed.
That and a couple of other, a bit less important reasons was why the regional police office of Fuyuki recently became a small stomping ground through which countless people were going every single minute.
It also was the official reason why a certain famous private detective from England was going to visit that particular office.
"Quick! Make sure to clean everything spotless. There cannot be anything out of order!" The police sergeant shouted at his subordinates. "The person arriving is practically a VIP and we can't afford to not be at our greatest!"
As the impatient voice of the sergeant spread through the building every police officer present hurried to finish their assigned tasks and help with the cleaning.
Sheets of paper flew through the air, voices drowned each other and even some coffee was spilled as everyone rushed to make the place look somewhat presentable.
Everybody was trying their hardest to clean as fast as humanly possible.
"Sir, can I ask a single question?" One of the younger officers asked shakily with one of their hands raised, afraid that they would offend their superior by doing so.
"What is it?" The sergeant asked impatiently. "We don't have much time for unnecessary questions."
"I know you told us we have to be at our best today but who even is that VIP we are going to welcome?" The young officer asked.
The moment those words left the young officer's mouth a bunch of gasps and murmurs from all the other members of the police echoed through the building. Everyone acted as if they've just heard something unbelievable.
"It's Lyserg Diethel! He's the detective who's going to help us with all these murder cases we are getting lately!" The sergeant said sternly. "Didn't you do any research earlier? Now hurry up and get back to cleaning!"
"O-Of course!" The young officer saluted before quickly grabbing a big pile of documents and rushing to one of the storage areas.
At the same time, while the police office was being overwhelmed by chaos and haste, a rather frail looking green haired man was slowly walking towards the building.
The man wore a simple white shirt with black pants and was talking through his phone at the moment. Nobody paid too much attention to him besides a cursory glance of acknowledgment as even the most bizarre aspect of his look, his green hair, wasn't that unusual in a place where a famous young playboy had his hair colored blue.
"I'm sorry I couldn't visit you guys but this mission is simply too important." The man said wryli to his phone before rolling his eyes when hearing the response.
"Yes, I will make sure to visit you and Hana after I finish it. It's not like Hao will give me another direct mission right after this one."
The person with whom the man was talking must have said something funny because after a few seconds of listening, the man suddenly laughed out loud at whatever he heard.
"Yeah, he could." The man said absentmindedly while intently watching something before him. "I have to hang up now. I will make sure to contact you later, okay?"
The man stopped in place for a few seconds to listen to his conversation partner's last few words before nodding with a hum.
"Bye." The man said with a smile before turning his phone off and hiding it in one of his pockets. "So, did you find out whether they are ready or not? Seriously, what's the point of preparing an entire office for a person like me? I'm just a private detective."
If any person were to hear that, they would have most likely thought that the green haired man was crazy and talking to himself but that couldn't be further from the truth for the man was a famous private detective and an Ex-Shaman Fight Competitor, Lyserg Diethel and the person he was talking to was his family's guardian spirit, Morphine.
The little pink fairy, Morphine, who just returned from scouting the police office responded to his questions with a silent giggle and a 'So-so' motion with her hand. Even though she couldn't speak, throughout the many years of working together they learned how to reliably communicate without using words.
"Let's not keep them waiting then." Lyserg said with a small laugh. "I doubt they would be more ready if we waited anyway. Besides, I don't feel like waiting outside just so that they could make a better impression on me."
His guardian spirit giggled lightly at his words before carefully sitting down on his shoulder just like she had done countless times in the past before, earning a small smile out of him.
With no reason to wait Lyserg gently pushed the door open and entered the office to immediately be welcomed by dozens of people running around in a hurry and ignoring him entirely.
"Is there anything we can help you with, sir?" A young police officer near the entrance asked him after noticing one additional person who wasn't wearing standard police uniform.
A small grin appeared on Lyserg's face as he reached into one of his pockets for his documents.
"Yes, actually." He said while showing the officer his I.D. "I'm expected to be here to help solve the many unexplained disappearances that were reported around here in the last few days."
As he said that, and the officer checked his I.D., their eyes suddenly widened and they began to shake a little after realizing with whom they were talking.
"Would you mind pointing me towards one of your superiors?" Lyserg asked.
"Of course, sir!" The police officer shouted stiffly before hurrying to the higher floor. They clearly were surprised that the world famous private detective Lyserg Diethel would look so unassuming.
A genuine laugh escaped Lyserg. After a few years of repeatedly solving seemingly unsolvable cases with the help of his guardian spirits he managed to gather quite an imposing reputation among the ordinary side of the world. The fact that he had become a professional detective at the young age of fifteen certainly added to his image.
It didn't take long for the young police officer to notify the person in charge of this police office of the private detective's arrival as not even two minutes after the young officer went up the building a loud noise of someone rushing down the stairs was heard by everyone on the ground floor of the building.
"I'm sorry for the wait!" A gruff and panicked voice echoed through the floor as the door leading to the higher floors was smashed open.
A weary looking man wearing a clean police uniform barreled through the now opened door and upon finding out that there wasn't anything that could quickly stop his dash nearby almost fell to the ground.
Luckily for the weary man, Lyserg had already somewhat expected such a thing to happen and with a single step forward while expanding his arms he managed to catch the hurrying man before falling.
"You know, when I arrived here and asked that young officer to point me towards you I thought that it would mean me going to you and not the other way around." Lyserg said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood.
"Y-Yes, of course." The weary man got out of his arms before coughing into his hand to hide his embarrassment. "Please excuse us for not following the standard procedures on this occasion."
The young officer who rushed to the top of the building to inform the man of Lyserg's arrival scratched the back of their head in embarrassment as well.
"It's alright." Lyserg said with a light smile. "I assume that you are the police lieutenant who sent the request for me to help with the recent cases."
"Yes, I am." The police lieutenant nodded. "Although I have to say, I'm genuinely surprised that a person of such fame and history like you sir actually accepted our request and came all over to Japan to help. Not to sound too self depreciating but with how many requests you probably get all of the time, a single unusual case from the other side of the world shouldn't be important enough for a person like you help solving it."
Even though it might have sounded a little disheartening to hear a huge murder case be called unimportant, it was the honest truth.
If the information attached to the request was everything Lyserg had to work with then there would be no way he would actually take it. Not only he had dozens of way more severe cases to solve than this one lining up at the very moment but Japan wasn't usually the place in the range of his ventures, it being more often than not left for his friends living closer to it to help.
This case was different however for the moment he got it Hao, his previous number one enemy and the most recent Shaman King himself, asked him personally to stop whatever was about to happen because of it.
With command like there was no way for him to refuse.
"I haven't done any work in Asia in a while so I decided to make my next job take place somewhere around here and it just so happened that your request was the most recent one I've gotten." Lyserg said, giving the excuse he had already prepared beforehand.
"That explains a lot." The police lieutenant said with a grin. "Well, since you will be helping us anyway it doesn't really matter anyway. Let's go to my office, I will share with you everything that we managed to find out for ourselves first."
With that said, the weary lieutenant turned around and started to walk towards his office, making Lyserg wonder why the man had come down in the first place again.
After a small shake of his head to stop himself from the pointless wondering about things that didn't really matter, Lyserg quietly followed behind the police officer with a steady step.
The way towards the office was quiet and uneventful as both Lyserg and the police lieutenant knew that any sharing of information could wait until they were in the office with all of the clues and evidence. Although, throughout the short way to the office Lyserg did become quite tired from all of the stares of awe and admiration that were directed at him during the short walk.
"We are here." The police lieutenant said after both of them entered his office. "I assume that you did go through all of the basic info we attached to the request already, right?"
Seeing that the lieutenant was waiting for his response, Lyserg nodded his head before sitting down on one of the few chairs in the office.
"Yes, I did. About thirty or so people were found either dead or missing right after the end of a night with next to no evidence as to what might have been the reason. The most likely theories as of the moment I received the request were mass murders and suffocation because of a gas leak."
The second one of these theories was highly improbable considering that most of the bodies were found out in the open so there was no chance for suffocation. It was also the first thing after the command from Hao that made Lyserg truly suspicious of this case.
Gas leaks and other explanations like these were clearly cover ups for deaths caused by supernatural activities.
While it might sound like he was jumping the gun a little with that conclusion, he was actually considering that because of his experience. It wasn't the first time he was working on a case where the matters related to the hidden side of the world were involved.
Whether it were rogue shamans murdering strong willed people in search for powerful spirits or secret cults trying to contact their deities, he had dealt with things like these before. It was just a matter of finding out which one it was this time and dealing with them.
"In that case we can skip straight into our current hypothesis." The lieutenant said seriously while firmly putting his hands on his desk. "The main suspect at the moment is an infamous Fujimura mafia family. While the recent incident might not match their usual dealings, the fact that these incidents are recursive and the last one had been almost precisely ten years ago crosses out most other possibilities."
Lyserg hummed quietly in response and pretended to listen carefully as the police lieutenant started listing many proofs and statements that helped this theory. He did made sure to listen to a couple of interesting facts about the mafia family in case he would ever need them though.
The chance of them being the true culprits was astronomically small considering that the Shaman King himself ordered him to investigate this case but it was highly likely that he would need to find an ordinary scapegoat for the supernatural crimes.
The green haired detective winced a little in his mind as he thought about that, he never enjoyed pinning the blame on people unrelated to the crime, even if those people were bad on their own, but in the world that they were living more often than not it was sadly a necessity.
Lyserg blinked as he saw the policeman reach under his desk for a pile of documents. It looked like he would finally get the thing he was in this office for in the first place.
"Remember that despite them being the main suspect at the moment, we've found no clear reason why they would be doing that and the Fujimura family rarely deals in murders so it's definitively possible that we're wrong. Either way, here you have all the available for us information on this case that we can give you. I hope it will help you find the true culprit and that you'll be able to clear this case before more people lose their lives."
After nodding with a determined expression on his face at the lieutenant's words, Lyserg politely took all the files that the police were willing to share with him.
"Don't worry, I will do my best. Now please excuse me as I'll take my time to explore the Fuyuki city." Lyserg said with a gentle smile before slowly leaving the office in measured steps.
He hadn't really needed to visit the police office since with his permit and shamanic abilities it was entirely possible for him to complete the task he had from Hao without alerting anyone of his presence and there was a possibility that the file he came here to collect wouldn't be useful for the true investigation at all anyway but he always preferred to have an ordinary world cover for his supernatural cases.
It also helped that if he was here officially he could help the people around here in other ways besides solving the single case he had here.
With a small smile present on his face, Lyserg slowly left the police office while ignoring the stares of awe that every low ranking officer was giving him. He still didn't understand why would so many people direct so much attention at him, at least Morphine was happy with all the attention they were getting.
...
Some time later...
...
Lyserg was slowly walking through the Fuyuki Central Park with a concerned frown on his face. The sun already began to set and the temperature started to become a little chilly.
If there weren't any issues demanding his immediate attention, Lyserg would have already been on his way to one of the police stations to ask for any recent cases that could help him with his investigation.
It just so happened that the place he had stumbled upon was such an issue.
From his exploration of the city during which he visited most of the locations that could be important for both the official and real investigation, Lyserg had come to the conclusion that the Fuyuki city on the surface wasn't that much different from any other city he had visited.
There were normal buildings and skyscrapers, ordinary schools and shopping malls, even the graveyards were completely normal at the first sight. If he wasn't already suspicious of the city and sent here by Hao then he would have tossed it aside as another one of countless usual cities that didn't require his attention.
That conviction however was broken the moment he took a single step in this forsaken park he was in.
All around him were countless disfigured, melted and wallowing abominations of spirits. The bravest of shamans would have fainted from shock after witnessing the state of all of these spirits.
Lyserg swallowed audibly as he passed by a particularly harmed spirit. If the Spirit of Fire hadn't been one of his closest partner spirits by this point in time, he would have suspected all of this pain and suffering to have been caused by the burning giant.
The idea that it had been caused by Hao in the past also entered his mind for a second but was instantly tossed aside. He might have hated the current Shaman King like no other but even he had to agree that the old Asakura wouldn't pointlessly send him somewhere only to show him the consequences of one of his actions.
It did leave him perplexed though. He couldn't think of many beings or items aside from the Spirit of Fire that were capable of leaving the ghosts in the state he was seeing them be at the moment.
Lyserg brought one of his hands to his chin while deep in thought.
He had heard earlier that the park was built in memory of all the people who had died in a terrifying incident that engulfed the Fuyuki city in flames. There were no explanations as to what was the reason behind the incident but the most common theories spoke of chain explosions from gas leaks or a divine punishment.
It was clear to him that the incident was related to the case he was working on though he couldn't say how or why. As of now he only had one certain conclusion about the whole thing.
Whatever had caused all of this must have been horrifyingly malicious.
A quiet and somewhat cheerful humming brought Lyserg out of his thoughts with a shock. He was certain that he was the only living person present in the park and all the spirits around him weren't in a condition to hum.
With his entire body tensed and ready for a fight, Lyserg quickly looked around in search for the source of that humming. A cursory glance was enough for him to identify the person who startled him.
A young frail white haired girl was happily walking by with a skip to her step.
If it was all there was to it then Lyserg would have easily considered whatever was happening as not important and chucked his earlier shock to a paranoia from being in such an unnerving place but there was something remarkable about the girl who managed to scare him.
A giant and menacing ghost in its spirit ball form was closely following behind that young girl.
No, after a more careful look at the strange pair, Lyserg could see that the spirit wasn't actually following the girl on its own. It was more accurate to say that the spirit was somehow connected to the white haired girl.
A thin line of either the spiritual energy or the spirit itself connected the spirit directly to the body of the young girl.
Was it some form of an Over Soul?
Standing around and wondering about it wasn't going to get him any answers. From the way the girl was connected to the spirit Lyserg could assume that even if she wasn't a shaman, the girl must have been at the very least related to the supernatural side of the world so he should be able to get some information from her.
"Excuse me!" He called out to the girl politely.
"Hm?" The girl stopped her humming and turned towards him before slowly tilting her head as if to ask if he was talking to her.
"My name's Lyserg Diethel. I'm the private detective tasked with solving the many mysterious death and disappearance cases that have been popping out around here lately." He introduced himself. There was no reason for him to hide his identity and it always helped with creating a favorable impression on the people he was going to ask for information.
"I haven't been in this city for long yet so my knowledge is a bit lacking. Would you mind answering some of my questions to help with my investigation?"
"Ah." The white haired girl slightly widened her eyes in acknowledgement before childishly smiling and saying. "Of course, I wouldn't mind. Although I don't think I will be able to answer many of your questions since I'm not from around here either."
Lyserg frowned a little while making sure that it wouldn't be easy to notice. The smile on the girl's face seemed weirdly off to him for some reason but if he had to describe what was wrong with it then he wouldn't be able to say anything other than it just felt weird.
"Thank you." He said with a warm smile of his own before reaching into his back pocket for a small notebook and subtly giving a sign to Morphine to fly out and inspect the white haired girl as well.
While the spirit behind the girl was certainly proof good enough for him to believe that the girl was involved with the supernatural side of the world, it didn't necessarily mean that she was a shaman and Morphine could easily check that.
With the notebook already in his hands, Lyserg opened it on a random page before clicking his pen and preparing to ask the girl some questions.
"Don't worry, I wasn't planning on asking any tough questions anyway." He said reassuringly while tactfully observing his guardian spirit fly around the white haired girl without the girl noticing anything. "I will just ask about some general knowledge on the city. You see, I didn't have the time to research Fuyuki before my arrival so I'm a bit lost."
"In that case, I will try my best to inform you about this big city." The girl said with a smile.
Lyserg took the chance to quickly scribble something on his notebook while the girl answered. He could already confirm that the white haired girl wasn't a shaman, it did however leave countless of different possibilities for the girl's relation with the giant spirit behind her and his case.
Sadly, he probably wouldn't have a chance to get that information from her this time.
"Let's start with the formality I need to have for my report then." Lyserg said through a half quiet grumble to make sure that the girl would hear that. "What is your name, young lady?"
"It's Illyasviel von Einzbern, Mr. Diethel." The girl said and Lyserg immediately scribbled it down.
"You are from Germany?" Lyserg asked with genuine curiosity in his voice.
Throughout his years as a detective he had been to many countries and often questioned people of different nationalities and more often than not he could tell from where they were from based on their speech alone but he wasn't able to do that with Illya. Therefore when the girl said her name it was a genuine surprise to him how not Japanese it sounded.
"You are correct." The girl said with a chuckle, not revealing anything else.
"Alright." Lyserg spun his pen on his finger to give himself a moment to actually think about the questions he wanted to ask. "Could you tell me if you were aware of the missing people reports from around here that were on the news before coming to Fuyuki?"
Illya slowly tilted her head to the other side, acting like a confused child who didn't have a clue what he was talking about.
"Some people went missing recently?" Illya asked loudly with a gasp and widened shocked eyes. "That's the first time I heard about that, mister detective. If I knew about it earlier then there would be no way that I would visit this city as it is."
"Hm..." Lyserg hummed while scribbling some more in his notebook.
If he wasn't already suspicious of Illya and there wasn't a giant menacing spirit being connected to her then he would have likely believed what she said solely because of how genuine the expression on the young girl looked.
It still wasn't easy to decide whether the girl was faking only her fear or the lack of knowledge about the missing people too.
"That's the case I'm investigating right now so don't worry about it too much. I will take care of it in no time." Lyserg said slightly absentmindedly as he tried to piece together the puzzle that the young white haired girl was. "Just keep in mind not to wander alone at late hours and you should be fine. Now let's get back to the rest of the questions I want to ask, okay?"
"Okay!" Illya answered cheerfully before grinning and adding. "Oh, and please have no fear about my safety."
Lyserg carefully looked at the young girl before curiously raising one of his eyebrows as if to ask what she meant by saying that. Luckily, he didn't have to wait long for a peculiar explanation from the white haired girl.
"I will always take my strongest friend with me when I'm out at night."
...
Late evening...
...
Police sirens echoed through the alleys as the police cars were gradually arriving at the place where another mysteriously dead body was found. The crime scene was separated from the rest of the alley by a thin yellow tape hanging on a couple of cones surrounding the dead body.
A few police officers were standing nearby and trying to get as many clues from the unfortunate victim as they could.
No unauthorized person could come close, not like it would make any difference since there weren't any civilians nearby anyway. The crime was almost perfectly hidden with how few people were actually aware that something happened around here.
It was a quiet neighborhood where any person who could have been able to see what happened had probably been already asleep by the time the poor person died.
The police lieutenant scowled as he inspected the dead body. As far as he was aware there wasn't anything about this body that could help them in pointing out the kill method either. The most he could say was that the person here either suffocated or was killed by some undetectable poison.
It could have quite likely been an explosion from a miniature gas leak as well but writing it off as that so quickly was way too unprofessional for them.
A frown appeared on the lieutenant's face as the sounds of people awkwardly moving and embarrassed apologies entered his ears.
"You are finally here." The lieutenant said before turning around. "When I learned you were going to work with us, I expected that we wouldn't have to wait for you at the crime scene for so long."
Despite arriving late, the green haired detective the police lieutenant had just called out, looked as professional as ever with his white shirt tucked in his black pants and the feeling of cleanness radiating off him. The lieutenant also noticed that in the time he didn't see him, the detective managed to arm himself with a gun attached to the belt of his pants.
"I'm sorry." Lyserg answered a bit abashedly while ruffling the back of his hair.
When he got the call about another reported body from the police, he was on the complete opposite side of the city. He wasn't doing much there aside from exploring the city a little and double checking all the information he got from Illya.
Aside from learning her name and that she was somehow related to the case, Lyserg hadn't gotten much information from the young girl. At least not information that he couldn't get from somewhere else. That was why after their conversation had ended he spent the rest of his time getting acquainted with the layout of the city.
It took him a lot of time but he could now say that he was somewhat aware of the most important places in Fuyuki.
He also used that time to pick up the Sword with Archangel Zelel he had from his time with the X-Laws from his apartment. Usually he didn't need to use the spirit he got from Marco since Morphine was way more useful and Spirit of Fire was way more powerful but after witnessing the amalgamations of spirits present in the Fuyuki Central Park he decided against holding anything back.
It also helped that the Sword No.008 he used as a medium for Zelel was conveniently shaped like an antique gun that worked decently with his job as a private detective.
"Forget it." Police lieutenant said with a huff. "At least you are here, that's what's most important right now. Come here and look at the body, maybe you will get something more from it than we did."
"I'm on it." Lyserg said before stepping forward to see the victim.
He had to hide some confusion he had about the way the lieutenant just referred to the victim as the body though. People wouldn't usually call someone a body if the person was still alive yet despite the lieutenant referring to the victim as such, Lyserg couldn't see any ghost around here.
Upon arriving next to the police officer and seeing the body, Lyserg's eyes couldn't help but widen.
The person he was looking at was unquestionably dead. There wasn't any pulse, breath, or movement yet what was worrying Lyserg the most was that there wasn't any soul either.
Sure, it was possible for a person to immediately move into the afterlife in the Great Spirit after dying but it never happened after a person was murdered or even died in an accident. Humans simply weren't able to accept their deaths so quickly if they weren't natural, sometimes they still couldn't even after a natural death as well.
Lyserg gulped audibly as only one logical yet frightening conclusion appeared in his mind.
Whatever killed the victim here must had consumed its soul as well.
It wasn't his first time seeing a spirit being devoured, his own Spirit of Fire was capable of it as well, but he had never seen someone killing living people in order to consume their spirits. It was just too cruel and ineffective.
"Looks gruesome, doesn't it?" The lieutenant said, mistaking his shocked state as a reaction to seeing the near mummified state of the victim's body. "Seeing them on the photos we got on the reports is nothing compared to now."
"Yeah..." Lyserg started while subtly looking from side to side with his eyes in a quiet hope of finding the spirit of the dead person. Unfortunately, he found nothing. "I didn't expect for the wounds to be so unnatural."
"Unnatural?" Police lieutenant asked in genuine confusion. "What're you talking about? It's clearly the after effect of the death caused by a gas leak. Just look at the clear lack of muscle mass on its neck."
If it wasn't for the authentic certainty in the policeman's tone, Lyserg would have found that he was being made fun of. The body looked like anything but the result of a gas leak.
"Did all the other bodies you reported as the victims of gas leaks look the same?" Lyserg asked. If it wasn't a singular case then he would have to suspect some kind of hypnosis working on the majority of the police force.
"Well, obviously." The policeman scoffed. "What else is it supposed to be if the body looks like that after dying?"
An attack by a vampire-like creature, Lyserg wanted to say but knowing that response wouldn't satisfy an ordinary uninvolved with the supernatural person, he didn't. Actually now that he thought about it, it could be the work of some powerful shaman with a skill set similar to that one Dracula descendant he and the rest fought back during the Shaman Fight.
What was his name again?
Boris? Or maybe was it Barry?
Lyserg shrugged inwardly as he couldn't remember every single one of his opponents from the Shaman King Tournament. He also doubted it could be that man since the vampire wanna be was nowhere near cruel enough to devour spirits of the people he fought.
He scribbled some more info into his notebook. All that he had right now were a bunch of concerning leads and theories that led absolutely nowhere.
"It could always be some other form of an explosion or poison. Who knows?" Lyserg said with a small shrug, fully aware that no matter what he would say the police lieutenant wouldn't put it any thought.
Not a single day had passed since he came to Fuyuki yet he was already starting to get annoyed at his task. Hao really knew how to get on his nerves despite technically not doing anything.
"Yeah, I doubt that. We have had weird cases like these since literally decades ago and they always were caused by the gas leaks." The police lieutenant shook his head.
"Just because it was always the case before doesn't mean that..." Lyserg stopped himself briefly upon noticing a lightning quick glowing projectile soaring through the sky above them.
It was faster and stronger than anything he had seen in recent years. The power behind it was so great that it could easily compete with many of the more capable shamans he fought against during the Shaman Fight.
"Are you alright?" The police lieutenant said only to recoil when a huge explosion echoed through the entire city in the middle of his question.
Lyserg frowned before quickly running out of the alley to see where the explosion happened. From the sound and the direction he saw the quick projectile fly towards, he estimated it was somewhere around the Park he had visited earlier but he couldn't be sure before seeing the effects of it.
The police lieutenant and all other police officers nearby soon followed right after him before stopping right after leaving the alley and getting a clear view of the park in the distance.
"Let me guess, another gas leak?" Lyserg asked with a dry chuckle. He didn't expect anyone else to laugh with him but depending on the answer he could determine the limits of the hypnosis placed on the police officers.
"It must be." The police lieutenant said while squinting his eyes and looking towards the now destroyed park in hopes of noticing something more.
Lyserg's dry chuckle continued as he cursed the current Shaman King under his nose.
Hao certainly picked the most irritating job he could find for him.
And... Cut!
Not much really happened yet besides Lyserg's introduction but I felt that if I did much more then it would feel a bit too rushed for my tastes.
I hope you enjoyed it and see ya later!
