Update time!

Despite her rather thin and harmless looking build, Anna Asakura was an incredibly intimidating person.

Of course everybody who knew her personally was well aware just how frightening she could be when she was serious but even those who were meeting her for the first time often were overwhelmed by the sheer presence she had.

Lyserg wanted to say that he wasn't scared of her, he really did. He knew Anna for almost a decade by now, she was the wife of one of his best friends and the person who saved his life and helped him countless times.

Logically he shouldn't feel anything but gratefulness towards her.

Unfortunately logic was something that had to be thrown away while interacting with a person who slapped the current shaman king on their first meeting and got away with it unharmed.

"Can you please tell me why you didn't call for me to help those spirits the moment you saw them and instead waited an entire day before doing that?" Anna asked with a smile so cold that it could freeze oceans.

When Lyserg met Anna early in the morning, he didn't waste much time and immediately brought her to the Fuyuki Central Park to relieve those poor spirits.

The moment Anna saw the amalgamations of spirits that reside in the park she became enraged at him for not informing her of it earlier. Contrary to her often aggressive attitude, the blond Itako took her duty and the welfare of spirits very seriously.

Apparently skipping on explanations in order to save the most amount of time wasn't the best and most thoughtful decision Lyserg could have made when asking Anna for help. In his defense he was still tired from bringing Bazett up to speed on the shaman side of the supernatural he was doing since waking up, his mind wasn't at it's best right now.

"I'm waiting for your explanation, Lyserg." Anna stated with a scowl, sending shivers down the dowser's spine.

Somehow even though Anna was directing her gaze at both him and Bazett, it was only Lyserg who was shaking in fear right now. The pink haired spirit seemed to be more intrigued than terrified of the clearly annoyed Anna.

"I like her." Bazett whispered to Lyserg.

"Yeah, you would." Lyserg answered with a sigh. Frankly, he had no idea how his new companion could so easily shake off the terrifying presence that was Anna and even joke while right in front of her.

Was she thinking that as a spirit there's nothing Anna could do to her?

If so then Lyserg wouldn't mind kindly not correcting her wrong idea and let her learn of Itako's abilities on her own. He wondered if she would still be as cheerful when bound by the one thousand and eighty beads Anna had at her disposal.

"And who's this ghost right next to you?" Anna pointed at Bazett with her finger. "She's been following you since before I found you here. Don't tell that she's your next guardian spirit. How many of them do you have already, five?"

Bazett shook a little the moment Anna mentioned her, likely because she still wasn't too used to people being able to notice her despite being a ghost. Well it wasn't like Fuyuki had any well known shamans residing in it so there wouldn't be anyone but them to see her anytime soon.

"I've only ever had three guardian spirits since the Shaman Fight ended." Lyserg whispered while rolling his eyes, it wasn't like he was the only one who used more than a single spirit in combat, Ren also sometimes took Bason's stallion into battle.

"She's just some person involved in the case that decided to help me. I accepted the help because she's a bit more in the know about the whole situation than I am. And I didn't call you earlier to help those spirits because I hoped I could have learned something from them before doing that. As you can probably guess, that idea went nowhere."

The answer seemed to be enough for the blond Itako as she didn't choose to berate Lyserg any further and instead already began inspecting the spirits she would be helping while ignoring the person who called her here.

"Wow, that was one of the worst introductions I've heard in a while. You didn't even tell her my name!" Bazett looked at the dowser with an annoyed expression before turning towards Anna and getting her attention with a shout. "It's Bazett Fraga McRemitz by the way."

Anna turned around and raised one of her eyebrows with an unimpressed expression on her face in response. Clearly, she was about as knowledgeable of anything related to the Clock Tower as Lyserg was if the Fraga name didn't get any reaction from her.

"Well, if she's useful then I won't be questioning your decisions." Anna said with a small nod and a sigh before making a swatting motion with her hand to signal them to move away. "Now make me some place so that I can do my job without any issues as well."

"Alright, we're on it." Lyserg turned around and began moving towards the edge of the park. "Come Bazett, you don't want to be caught up in that ritual if you don't desire to move on to the afterlife."

A quiet laugh escaped Lyserg when he saw the slightly panicked expression on Bazett's face. He had no idea where her irrational fear of passing on came from but it certainly was amusing to watch.

"I'm going!" Bazett said hurriedly before speeding to the very edge of the park so quickly that Lyserg could barely catch up.

It didn't take long for Lyserg to also leave the range of Anna's ritual and arrive next to his new ghost companion.

They probably didn't have to move so far away for Anna to be able to do her work comfortably but it certainly didn't hurt to be a little bit more careful when dealing with spirits as delicate as those amalgamations in the Fuyuki Central Park.

With both of them outside Anna's range they could see the blond Itako starting her ritual.

When most people imagined an Itako or any other holy shaman performing an exorcism they would almost always picture something graceful, shiny, and beautiful that would make the most stoic individuals gasp in astonishment.

As Bazett was about to find out and Lyserg knew quite well already, that image differed from the truth substantially.

The one thousand and eighty beads flew from Anna's hand like strings or wires that desired nothing more than creating a giant web that would encompass the entire park. Whenever a part of them would come in contact with a spirit it would immediately wrap around it before flying to another one and if more than a single spirit were huddled together then it would wrap itself around an entire group.

In the end, less than ten minutes later, dozens of spirits were trapped in place by the beads and Anna had to click her tongue in annoyance as the amount of ghosts in Fuyuki Central Park made it impossible for her to exorcise every amalgamation in one go.

A single move of Anna's hand made every spirit chained by the beads to be elevated higher into the air and sent into the afterlife with another twist of her arm.

"I-Is this how she always sends ghosts into the afterlife?" Bazett asked with a shaky tone while watching the frankly terrifying show of Anna exorcising a crowd of spirits.

"Not usually, more often than not using such measures would be a waste since most spirits aren't as hurt as those ones and for sure aren't close to being in such huge numbers." Lyserg answered musingly. "Most of the times a few Buddhist chants from her are more than enough but I guess that after seeing the state of those poor spirits Anna decided that she had to use the power of her beads to safely deal with them."

Bazett once again looked at the scene of Anna dealing with another batch of spirits. This time however she appeared a bit less afraid of the exorcism and a lot more curious of it than before.

"Is this rosary of hers special?" Bazett asked.

"Those beads are supposedly the greatest tool any Itako has ever wielded." Lyserg nodded. "When it comes to subjugating demons or exorcisms, few items in the world could be considered their equals."

Almost exactly as he said that, a third and last batch of the wounded ghosts in the park was sent into the afterlife. While sending them to the Great Spirit without healing them first might have seemed haphazard, it was actually the best thing they could have done for them.

The poor spirits weren't in a state where they could join with the Great Spirit on their own but the moment they would reach it, the Great Spirit would heal them completely on its own better than any Itako or spiritual healer could have.

"The job's done. All of those spirits should have rejoined with the Great Spirit by now." Anna said loudly from her location so that they could hear her, she was unconcerned whether any passerby would hear her as well or not.

Lyserg smiled a little and looked at his new spirit companion to see her flabbergasted. The fact that they were so blatantly clear with their activities must have come as quite a shock for a person who had to hide their job from the ordinary world her entire life.

With the job confirmed as done, Lyserg began to slowly walk towards Anna. He would have to repay her for that favor somehow and he would prefer if he could do this as early as possible.

It took Bazett until Lyserg reached the halfway point between her and Anna to recover from the shock the uncovered nature of shamans had caused her and catch up to him.

"Thank you for your help, Anna." Lyserg smiled a little. "If there's anything you want from me as a recompensation for that favor, you just have to ask."

"You are welcome, I will think about it when I leave but for now help me with finding some cheap apartment here. I don't want to end up having to borrow your apartment for my stay here." Anna answered shortly.

Silence followed Anna's answer as nobody said a word.

"What?" Lyserg asked, unsure if he heard correctly.

"I told you to help me look for an apartment." Anna huffed in a slight annoyance. "This is a problem that Hao believes to be important enough to send you here. There's no way I'm just going to go back to the South before this is dealt with. Besides, there might be more hurt spirits for me to exorcise here."

Lyserg turned slightly pale at his friend's declaration and even Bazett started shaking a little in fear after remembering the exorcism that Anna did.

"I-" Lyserg started only to sigh in defeat. "Alright, just please don't try to butt into my case. It's difficult enough as it is, there's no point in getting more people entangled in it."

A satisfied smirk appeared on Anna's face. Lyserg swore she was enjoying making his life more difficult than it ought to be by being so forceful, she wouldn't have been doing that so often if she didn't.

"Don't worry the case is all yours." Anna said. "Trust me, I know when my help is needed and when it's not."

...

An hour or so later...

...

Finding a relatively cheap apartment in Fuyuki was surprisingly easier than one would have thought. Especially, if you looked for haunted apartments and had no issues with sharing your temporary house with more than a few bored ghosts.

Sure, the place they have found wasn't the greatest and there were some rumors about the local mafia often using nearby buildings for their shady businesses but when a person living there was a shaman scarier than any of the mafias could ever be it stopped being an issue.

"Are you sure that you want this apartment specifically?" The flat owner asked for the eighth time as he handed them the keys to the haunted apartment the nobody wanted. "I have many better apartments that I could offer you at a similar price."

"We will take it." Lyserg smiled as he took the keys out of the flat owner's hands before lightly throwing them to Anna. "Don't worry, I'm sure that my friend here won't mind the apartment a single bit."

The skepticism on the flat owner's face made Lyserg sweat a little in worry that the older man would try to convince them against renting the apartment once more.

Thankfully, it didn't come to that as the man sighed before turning around and murmuring something to himself while walking away. All the contracts and disclosures were already signed so it wasn't like he had to stay here any longer.

"Well, that's dealt with." Lyserg whispered with some relief as he watched the old man disappear into the alleys of Fuyuki.

While the apartment wasn't in the very center of the city, it was still situated in a rather busy street and if it wasn't for the fact that it was supposedly haunted after the previous owners of the apartment were killed by some crazy mass murderer around a decade ago then it would have easily been worth way more than Lyserg or Anna could afford on a short notice.

"If there isn't anything else you need my help with at the moment then you can go and continue your case." Anna said with a confident smile before pushing the rusted doors open and entering her temporary lodging. "I have a haunted apartment to exorcise."

The doors closed behind Anna with a loud slam as ghostly weeps and whines echoed from the residence. Anna really didn't waste any time before doing her job as an Itako.

"You know, after meeting her I'm actually quite glad that you were the one who was ordered by the shaman king to solve the issue here." Bazett said with a wry expression on her face as she heard ghosts being sent into the afterlife.

"Most of the times she doesn't work alone." Lyserg patted the pink haired spirit on the back as he looked at the closed wooden door. "Usually, she's accompanied by her husband, Yoh Asakura, who's basically the opposite of her when it comes to stuff like this so it's not so bad. Sadly, this time Yoh has quite an important job in Africa so they couldn't both come here."

"What a pity." Bazett remarked shortly.

Knowing that there was no point in them standing there and doing absolutely nothing, Lyserg and Bazett turned around and, under the dead magus's lead, began walking towards the Tohsaka manor.

The location of the Tohsaka family's residence, while not known by the foreigners and people outside the Magi community like Lyserg, was actually something of a public knowledge for those involved in magecraft matters around the Fuyuki. It was all because of the family's position as the so-called second owners of the city.

The position of a second owner, from what Lyserg understood based on Bazett's explanation he had the previous day, was something of a supervisor role responsible for looking over all supernatural dealing in the local area. Supposedly every bigger city in the world had one of them and Fuyuki was no exception.

It made Lyserg wonder if the second owners were aware of the shaman side of the supernatural though, especially since based on his interactions with Bazett he could quite confidently say that ordinary Magi didn't see his part of the supernatural in a good light. Bazett was starting to look at the shaman matters in a bit more positive light but it probably had more to do with the fact that she was a ghost and not because of anything particular he had done.

Accepting the positions of shamans was significantly easier when you were a ghost, after all.

...

A short while later...

...

Their walk towards the Tohsaka manor didn't take them too long and within less than an hour Lyserg and Bazett arrived right before the impressive building.

If there was a single word that could describe the building before them then it would probably be 'old'. Despite the building's rather remarkable looks and size, for a mansion in the middle of a huge modern city that was, its design looked like it hadn't changed a single bit since the day the house was built.

It wasn't to say that the building looked uncared-for or shabby in any way as everything appeared remarkably clean and tidy, at least from the outside as Lyserg didn't have a chance to enter yet. If anything it reminded Lyserg a lot of how museums or cultural exhibits were taken care of.

A small thought of curiosity passed through Lyserg's mind as he wondered for a moment why would any modern person live like that but he discarded it almost instantly when he remembered about how Bazett mentioned to him that the Magi tended to not care for the modern inventions.

"First time seeing a mansion like that?" Bazett asked with something that resembled a smug tone. "I bet you haven't seen many buildings like that in your life as a shaman. It isn't even that great compared to houses of some of the more prominent Magi."

Lyserg chuckled quietly as he heard that. Bazett no doubt interpreted his quiet thinking as him looking in wonder at the old mansion and couldn't help but to brag a little at the wealth the average Magi were capable of having.

"Trust me, I've seen bigger and greater." Lyserg said with a small smile. "Have you heard about the Tao family or the X-Charity group that helps people around the world nowadays?"

"Y-Yeah, they are quite famous." Bazett stuttered a little at the sudden question. "What does it have to do with the mansions and shamans though?"

"Both of them consist almost entirely of shamans and both of them are way richer than most of the Magi families, I wager." Lyserg said with a smirk, remembering the giant castle in the mountains that was the Tao's family house.

Without a second thought Lyserg moved forward through the, for some reason, opened front gate of the manor while ignoring the befuddled expression on Bazett's face completely.

"W-What?" Bazett asked slowly, dumbfounded at the new knowledge.

A soft knocking on the Tohsaka's manor's front door was the thing that finally brought her out of the befuddlement and sprang her into action to catch up to Lyserg who had left her at the gate.

Lyserg stood in silence before the door after knocking as he waited for someone to answer him. It wouldn't do him any good if the person he wanted to talk to thought he was insane for talking to people only he was able to see right in front of their house.

He patiently waited for a few short minutes before frowning a little after not hearing any noises from inside the house. Even if that Tohsaka person was at the other floor and couldn't open the door at the moment, they still should be able to hear his knocking and at least loudly ask him to wait.

Another soft knocking echoed through the house as Lyserg once again knocked on the door.

This time he made sure to knock a little louder so that the person inside the building would hear him for sure. Unfortunately the phone number of the second owner wasn't something as commonly known as their home address so he couldn't simply call them to ask for an audience.

A few seconds passed as silence met Lyserg once again.

Was he being ignored? Or maybe the second owner was just simply wary of others because of the Holy Grail War that was happening, supposedly they were taking part in it after all.

Lyserg tensed a little, if the person inside the building was setting up a trap for him then he might start getting worried. He might be strong and be able to survive but he certainly didn't want to face another legendary hero from the past so soon.

"Bazett, can you do me a favor and fly inside to check what the second owner's doing and if they are even there in the first place?" Lyserg whispered quietly to his ghostly companion without moving from his position at all.

If someone truly was inside the building and was wary of him then doing any abrupt or unexplained actions might start a fight without him even knowing and if there wasn't then the worst that could happen was him looking awfully patient and awkward to the neighbors. A sudden fight was dangerous but he could survive people looking at him weirdly for a few minutes.

With a simple and quiet nod Bazett flew right into the building, she didn't seem to worry that someone inside might be able to see her and to be honest even if someone was there, they probably wouldn't be able to see her anyway.

The heroic spirits, despite how they're called, have a spiritual awareness that's only slightly better than an ordinary person's who couldn't see the ghosts and spirits at all considering how Cu Chulainn could only barely detect an Over Soul during their fight.

A spirit in its spirit ball form like Bazett should be completely invisible to any master or their heroic spirit.

As Lyserg waited patiently for Bazett to return, Morphine cheerfully flew out of his pocket before turning around and looking at him with a slightly questioning expression. If one were to look at her really carefully then they would have also noticed a small pout on her face.

"Yeah, I know you could have done it quicker if you were the one to search the house." Lyserg whispered with a roll of his eyes. "I asked Bazett to scout because unlike you or me, she has the knowledge about this Magecraft they are using and should be able to find any traps or other secrets that the second owner might be hiding in there. We both know, you are as new to Magecraft and Magi as I am."

Morphine looked down a little dejectedly at his answer.

Lyserg knew full well how his guardian spirit felt right now. They might be the veterans of the Shaman Fight and seasoned detectives with myriad cases under their name but it didn't change the fact that they were out of their depth here.

It was almost like they were once again participating in the Shaman Fight for the first time, learning everything as they went along the way and not being the ones in the know.

His and Morphine's musing didn't last for long as soon after they started to really wonder about things they saw Bazett slowly flying out of the front door of the house with a somewhat confused look on her face.

"Nobody's here." Bazett said.

Lyserg blinked a couple times. It looked like they wasted quite a bit of their time by staying here so quietly. Thankfully for a dowser like him there was always something he could do in situations like these.

"Well, there's nothing we can do about that." Lyserg shrugged. "Have you seen any object in there that might have any connection to Tohsaka?"

"Connection?" Bazett slightly tilted her head in confusion.

"Yes, connection." Lyserg nodded briefly. "Any relation will do really. An item that was often held by the person or even a photo or them, as long as there's something that connects one to the other I should be able to find them with my dowsing ability."

Bazett took a moment to think as she tilted a little upwards and turned around to once again get a look at the mansion.

"There should be some things like that." Bazett murmured to herself before turning to the green haired dowser. "Do you need to touch this object? Because if you do then I don't think there would be an easy way to bring you one, at least if you don't want to be accused of being a burglar."

Lyserg chuckled a little at the question. Yeah, he could live without being mistaken for a thief by the populace of Fuyuki.

"Don't worry, I only really need its description and location from you and if the connection of this item with the Tohsaka is strong enough then I will know the moment I use my Over Soul." Lyserg said in between his chuckles.

"Alright, in that case there should be some Magecraft books hidden in one of the shelves in the attic of the mansion. If Tohsaka is a Magus worth their salt then there's no way that there isn't any connection between her and those books." Bazett nodded before pointing somewhere at the roof of the building.

With a thoughtful nod, Lyserg quietly formed an Over Soul with Morphine and slowly extended out his hand to carefully fire the pendulum.

In reality dowsing for shamans meant only an ability to search for someone's life force. While that didn't sound impressive or useful on the first glance, it was only because most people didn't realize how much detecting one's life force was worth.

Humans and spirits left different signs and imprints on everything they interacted with, the cups they drank their coffee from, the books they read, or the people they met while walking down the street, all of those mentioned object had a spiritual imprint of the person who did it and those spiritual imprints tended to stay there for quite some time.

While those signs would have been useless or unnoticeable for ordinary people or even most of the shamans, for dowsers it was more than enough to get a sample of someone's life force that they could then follow to find the person so the moment Lyserg heard of the books with Magecraft that Tohsaka had to use often he knew that there would be no issues with finding them with his dowsing skills.

It didn't take long for the pendulum to tune in on the sample of Tohsaka's life force and soon the small crystal turned away from the roof of the mansion and started pointing in a completely different direction.

"Did you get it?" Bazett asked while carefully observing the crystal pendulum.

"Yup." Lyserg answered with a smile as he rolled up the wire back into the device on his arm. He already got the direction from it and he wanted to avoid gathering too much attention on himself by having a flying wire casually defying all the known laws of physics in front of everyone's eyes.

There was no telling what some of the more nosy Magi in the city would do if they saw him using supernatural abilities in the open like that.

"Let's go." With a smile on his face and a direction set, Lyserg, with Bazett right behind him, followed the path that his pendulum was showing them.

...

Some time later...

...

The walk to find the second owner was uneventful to say the least. Time seemed to crawl as they slowly moved in the same direction while making sure to stop in place every time they found themselves in a less crowded location to make sure that the Tohsaka didn't change their location.

They had been moving in the same direction for so long that Lyserg had begun suspecting that the second owner simply wasn't in Fuyuki anymore after deciding to sit the Holy Grail War out and simply ignore the battle of Magi happening in their city.

After they had passed the center of the city, he had even voiced his worries to his pink haired ghostly companion who knew way more about the Magi culture than he did.

"There's no way that one of the founding families of the Holy Grail War wouldn't take part in it. Maybe, it's just your dowsing that's wrong." She had told him when they passed another one of the city's alleys.

He, of course, hadn't reacted to the ghost's doubts of his dowsing ability.

Dowsing was an ancient art that he had perfected and if there was the slightest of possibilities that he was wrong then he would gladly renounce his position as a shaman. The chance of the second owner not being in their city during a dangerous battle was way higher in his opinion.

Thankfully, after they reached the northern parts of the city, which Lyserg noted were covered with traditional Japanese houses, the pendulum finally started to change its direction notifying them that they were getting close.

From there, it wasn't that difficult to find the correct building as they only had to quickly pass by the houses and activate his Over Soul for the briefest of moments to see whether the Tohsaka family head was there or not.

After the sixth or seventh house they checked, they finally found the place where Tohsaka was.

The estate itself didn't look different from its neighbors in any way and if it wasn't for the absolute trust Lyserg had in his dowsing skills, he would have been wondering whether the place was really where the second owner of Fuyuki truly resided.

Bazett was actually doubting the place, if the uncertain looks she was giving the place were anything to go by.

Lyserg merely shrugged at the uncertainty of his ghostly companion before walking up to the house. Although, this time instead of starting off with knocking on the door he turned his head towards the pink haired spirit before gesturing at the building with it.

There weren't any words spoken between them but Bazett understood his intentions very well and with a tired groan she flew inside to scout ahead in case the person they were looking for was preparing for an attack or was hiding.

The moment Lyserg saw her enter the building, he immediately looked up with a wary expression on his face.

On the roof of the building stood, or rather floated, another one of those weird spirit ball like spirits which were connected to the masters. Now that he knew that they were the ghosts of ancient heroes, Lyserg couldn't help but be vigilant around them.

Sure, based on his fight against Cu Chulainn, he could probably fight, or maybe even defeat, one if he were to go all out and use the Spirit of Fire but it didn't change the fact that they were dangerous. The one at the roof also seemed to be a bit different to the others, as its connection that he could barely see with the other heroic spirits in the first place appeared to be even more hidden and unnoticeable.

Was the connection of that particular spirit weaker?

Or did that hero simply didn't have the need for a stronger connection?

Either way, if everything was going to go well, he wouldn't need to find out this time around.

Thankfully, it appeared that there weren't going to be any unnecessary fights this time as the heroic spirit appeared to be perfectly content with merely sitting on the roof and observing him.

Less than five minutes later, Bazett casually floated back from the building.

"She's here." Bazett said as she stopped right before Lyserg. "There are two more people aside from her though and they seem to be aware of you though so be careful. I'm pretty sure that one of them is a heroic spirit."

"It means that we are dealing with two participants of this weird tournament then." Lyserg said quietly enough so that it would look like he was murmuring something to himself from afar.

He didn't bother with wondering how they knew that he was there. The spirit on the roof had to have seen him when they were still looking for the correct location and if what Bazett knew of the Servants was right then that spirit likely warned the two masters of his arrival.

Lyserg huffed a little before softly knocking on the door loud enough for it to be heard but not loud enough to be seen as aggressive. Well, it wasn't like he was trying to sneak around them in the first place.

"I'm coming." A boy's voice called out from the house before loud footsteps followed.

Curiously he heard only a single pair of footsteps and a quick check with his pendulum told him that the target of his dowsing was moving around only slightly. He wondered whether they were setting a trap for him in case he was an enemy or making sure that nothing looked out of ordinary to not reveal any Magi secrets in case he was an ordinary person.

Lyserg didn't have to think about it for long however as the doors of the estate opened not too long after.

"I-Is there anything I can help you with, sir?" The boy who opened the door asked with a confused look on his face.

A small frown appeared on Lyserg's face as he observed the boy at the other side of the door. On first glance the boy looked to be as unremarkable as anyone with the only thing that differentiated him from others being the red colored hair which was only slightly unusual for Japan nowadays and compared to his own green hair looked almost completely ordinary.

Yet despite that normal look, Lyserg knew full well that the relatively young boy, from his appearance Lyserg was guessing for him to be around seventeen, was anything but normal. Just as any other participant in this secret tournament that Lyserg had seen, the red haired boy also had a thin line of spiritual energy coming out of him and probably connecting him to a heroic spirit.

This boy's line also seemed to be a bit larger than the ones he saw in others but he had no idea what that could mean.

Knowing that he was staring a little bit too long and that the red haired boy was getting even more confused, Lyserg sighed lightly before reaching out to one of his pockets to bring out the identification he had and proof of his job as a detective.

"I want to say that I'm here as a private detective from London to ask you some questions regarding the recent strange disappearances but in reality I have a thing to discuss with the second owner of Fuyuki and my sources are telling me that I should be able to find them here." Lyserg said while occasionally glancing behind the boy he was talking to in order to see if anybody was hiding there.

"T-The second owner?" The boy asked with a slight confusion.

It looked like he wasn't the only one involved who was new to the whole Magi side of the world.

"Oh, come on! You are a master in the Holy Grail War and you don't know who's the second owner of your own city?!" Bazett shouted angrily at the younger boy, knowing full well that Lyserg was the only one who could hear her. "I can't believe I died before a newbie like that."

Lyserg did his best not to snort at his new companion's complaints and after making sure that the boy truly didn't know who the second owner was he opened his mouth to try to explain it to him only to be immediately cut off by a loud voice of a teenage girl from further down the house.

"I'm here! What is it you want to talk about?"

And... Cut!

I must say that writing this chapter was a nightmare for me (A weird combination of not having much time for writing it and having to take a long break from writing it somewhere in the middle of it) so if you feel that this chapter is a little bit worse in terms of quality when compared to the previous chapters then you are probably right.

I might end up rewriting this chapter later down the line or something.

Anyway, see ya later!
