The heat was unbearable and not one of us could sleep. We did our taxes, read letters from home and even practiced new trades. It wasn't right that Korea was so dad blasted hot in the summer and frigidly cold in the winter. The war-and the hell of it, just made everything worse. But I commend my camp for taking it all in stride, no matter how hot it was. As for myself, a walk around the camp in the middle of the night actually did me a world of good. For some reason, I saw things differently at 3am.
