Discontinuation Note:
Dear my respective readers, thank you very much for all of your support since the beginning of Infinite Cry. I have worked in this crossover for my love between Devil May Cry game and Infinite Stratos anime back in 2013. During those time, Infinite Stratos lived a short life from 2012 until 2015 due to the discontinuation of the anime and the light novel (In so far my knowledge goes) has been halted by Izuru Yumizuru until today. The same also goes to Devil May Cry which fans were outraged with Dante's edgy persona (I am not an exception) and by my personal experience, felt that Devil May Cry followed Infinite Stratos' suit into being forgotten by fans.
Trying to bring these two titles together is fun but at the same time a huge challenge. Aside from the writer's block really hit me most times in writing this fic for not being able to catch up with my update schedule, my English skills are still have a very-very long way to go for not being able to bring out the best I imagined before comitting those images I had in my mind into words. The lack of feedback from various readers also somewhat demotivated me to continue writing.
At this point I told myself that perhaps, maybe this is the point where I should drop the pencil down, give up those two titles, throw those scrap papers away, learn to be a 'normies' just like how the majority of people in my university are and focus on my study better.
I was about to take that step and quit writing in had not Capcom made a major comeback with Devil May Cry 5 and RE 2 Remake this year. Playing those games especially DMC 5 that I have been waiting for 11 years back in 2008 reignite my writing spirit. Rather than stop writing forever, I'll just sit this one out for a while. After all, my study comes first.
That brings me to my apology for your disappointment in reading this apology than enjoying Mary vs Dante's 3rd part that I promised to update next.
Looking at my review, then considering my situation and my writer's block, I have to thank you Dear Readers for suggesting me to drop this series. I see no point in forcing my ideas anymore. In my beginning of this fic, my idea was to integrate DmC into DMC universe while DMC casts living in Infinite Stratos timeline. The integration of DmC into DMC is the trickiest part for me. I don't think I could put them into words right now but it's no use in trying to revive DmC. That series better off dead. Forever. To be honest, I planned to write a part where DMC Dante killed DmC Dante for the claim of DMC Dante's body after DMC Dante was injured in the first battle against Squall Meussel chapter I entitled as 'Mission 15: Dante. Must. DIE!'. The details are not important since I have already decided to discontinue Infinite Cry: RE.
Throughout my writing days in , I was really lucky to be able to converse with other writers. Some of them also share the same idea like I have in writing my stories. Many thanks to Jackie Avocado, Awesomejason7777, Twilighter1602 and other writers I exchanged PMs before.
But from all of them, I cannot forget Kerlongsj Evert Orlejov, whose honest reviews have supported me since I began writing my 1st Infinite Cry. Like me, Kerlongsj initially worked in a crossover between Far Cry 4 and Infinite Stratos and we had a good time exchanging ideas for each other. Our love for Infinite Stratos and video games are what brought us together not only as a stranger in the internet, but friends separated by international borders. I also want to take this opportunity to extend my admiration for his writing spirit and his steps I have yet taken in my writing experience.
As for my future plans in , I will still be working in DMC x I.S crossovers. But this time, it will be taking a full fledged DMC universe. More like right after the events in DMC 5. As for the title, I still cannot think other names outside Infinite Cry.
