Robin was currently busy patrolling atop of the walls that surrounded his hometown when a to him well-known voice called up to him.

"Hey Robin, the stranger has finally woken up!"

Robin looked down, seeing the familiar face of Anturia, a nurse in town who was a good friend of his.

She was also one of the first to help a few days ago when he had found the person at the beach, causing quite a spectacle when he was back in town.

The next surprise followed quickly after. When the doctor had taken off the man's armor, they discovered that a few parts were more or less attached to his body with no clear way of removing them. The most noticeable was some form of curious sphere that was attached to his upper back utilizing a metal and wooden contraption.

The sphere In question was semitransparent and made out of an unknown material that constantly emitted light, making it almost look like a piece of ice with lightning trapped inside it, due to the strange arcs of light inside the sphere.

It was theorized that the sphere did in fact contain lightning in some way or another, as when a nurse had attempted to remove it for better inspection of his wound she had collapsed almost instantly, static electricity running up and down her body.

While she didn't carry away any visible injuries and recovered not too long after, it was decided to keep her under medical supervision for now. As for the armor, it was left alone and they instead treated his injuries around any remaining pieces that covered his body.

Nothing interesting happened after that… until now. Climbing down the ladder he greeted the nurse with a smile, who returned it warmly.

She was a young woman with light skin and brown hair. While she looked quite pretty in Robin's eyes, she was still pretty average and didn't stand out too much from other women In terms of looks. Her personality did, however, which he liked about her.

"You're coming?" she asked, to which he nodded, following her.

The two of them headed towards the infirmary, and Robin couldn't help but feel somewhat curious about the person he saved. He noticed that a small crowd had gathered around the building, but they were not allowed inside.

"Our patient has just recovered enough to properly speak, so we can't allow any visitors yet." the nurse explained. "But we thought we make an exception with you as he would probably want to meet the person who saved him… and we probably couldn't keep you out anyway if you wanted to enter. Your determination is a whole other level on its own."

Robin merely chuckled at that, deciding to not reply for now.

A bit later he entered the infirmary, gaining a few jealous looks from some people, but nobody complained.

The stranger was sitting in his bed, looking around curiously with a hint of uncertainty. Robin inspected his face, which he saw for the first time today as the stranger had worn a helmet the last time he saw him. He had light skin with short brown hair and carried a scar above his left eye. Talking about eyes he noticed that they were blue, but more importantly glittering with an almost scary amount of intelligence and knowledge.

While the stranger was below average when it came to strength and quite skinny his instincts as a guard told him that this person could be very dangerous. Considering that he had so far not shown any aggression, Robin decided to keep this to himself for now, which however didn't mean that he would be letting his guard down.

The stranger finally looked up, and Robin noticed that his eyes were quickly scanning over him before he finally spoke.

"Hello… I'm going to assume you're Robin? I was told you were the one who brought me here"

His voice sounded strange, almost artificial with an unknown accent in it.

"Yes, I was indeed the one that found you passed out at the beach. You're in Blue Wave Harbor by the way. A town near the Noth-East of the continent."

"I thought so." a smile appeared on his face. "Well, guess that means that I can finally thank you for saving me then."

"What exactly happened for you to land there if I may ask?"

The stranger fell quiet. "I can't remember…" he finally replied. "To be honest, I can't even remember my name…"

"Oh…" Robin wasn't sure how to respond to that. "Well, I'm sure that you'll remember again eventually. You're still in shock after all…"

The stranger merely nodded, rubbing his head. "If you excuse me, I would like to be alone for a while… nothing personal."

"Alright then…" Robin replied, before respectfully leaving the infirmary where he was immediately bombarded by questions from the curious crowd that was still outside. Not feeling like answering them for now, he fought his way through the mass of people, Anturia joined, following close behind. It took a bit, but eventually, they managed to reach the entrance of Robin's house.

"He has suffered strong head trauma and shock as well as hypothermia," Anturia explained once they were safely inside. "In fact, he should have died out there, but that armor he wears seems to have somehow kept him alive. When we removed the helmet we noticed that it was dry on the inside meaning that it must've supplied him with air and prevented him from drowning. It overall seems that he didn't have a single injury despite the armor being quite beaten up and damaged… he also seems to be fine on water despite him not having eaten for days. First, we thought he had water with him, but then we found a bottle of water stored inside the armor with a hose that went into his body." she shuddered at the memory.

"That must've been the reason why we couldn't take it off… It's connected to him, literally!"

Robin looked at her unsurely. "Are you pulling my leg?"

"I swear, I don't. That wasn't even the scariest thing. It almost seems to me that armor is in some way alive…"

"What do you mean?"

"When we tried to get it off so that we could inspect his injuries, we found that it seems to be made out of two layers of armor, and between these layers were cogs, wires, tubes, strings, and god knows what more, and they were all moving Robin, moving! Everything seemed to be connected with everything and I can only guess what it was for…"

"Well ok, that's indeed strange, but that still doesn't mean that that armor was alive. We all have seen machines before that's nothing new…" he replied carefully.

"Then how was it powered genius? It's not as if he was operating it, he was unconscious. The only other alternatives are windmills or water wheels, but both are impossible here…"

Robin started laughing. "So you're suggesting that we're dealing with someone who has supernatural sci-if armor?"

"That's not funny, I'm being serious here!"

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry." Robin replied, not wanting to upset Anturia even though his mind was doubtful of the information she provided. "What you're telling me so far is simply hard to believe…"

"You can check it out anytime you like." She retorted. "I'm not lying."

"Fair enough. Tomorrow I will go back to the infirmary and ask him about that matter. Then we will see about this machine armor…"
