Jake Long III (Season Five)
Chapter/Episode Five: The Spying Dogs
Lime had just met up with Caribou, the Kooikerhondje and the Karelian Bear Dog, not knowing that Jake III, Lin-Lin, Jackal and Cadence were spying on them. "I must say..." Lime started the conversation. "...I hope you didn't have to wait for too long."
"We didn't." Caribou said. "We just got here."
"Good." Lime sounded relieved. "The principal of this school asked Pixel and myself to go get Fu Dog and bring him in for his test. Fortunately, Pixel came up with an idea so he could take Fu Dog and I could come out here to meet you three."
"Will we be able to get to him during his test?" Caribou asked.
"I'm afraid not." Lime said. "He's being watched. It would be almost impossible to assassinate him and get away with it during his test."
"Almost?" The Karelian Bear Dog grinned. "So, you're saying it's still possible."
"I'm saying not to risk it." Lime told him.
"How long will the test last?" Caribou asked.
"It really depends." Lime answered.
"Then we should just bide our time." Caribou decided.
"Good." Lime nodded. "Now, there is one more thing that I feel we need to talk about."
"Yeah?" Caribou asked. "And what's that?"
"Fu Dog knows that you're after him."
Caribou scoffed, both the Karelian Bear Dog and the Kooikerhondje snickering in response to this news. "That doesn't make a lick of a difference." Caribou declared. "We'll still get him."
Just seconds after she said this, the doors to the school opened once again, this time, Pixel exited the school, walking down the steps. Reaching the bottom and walking up to Lime's side, he smiled.
"Sorry, I'm late." Pixel said. "I had business to take care of. Fu Dog's test is underway. With any luck, he'll be done soon."
"Perhaps we should take them to hide in Fu Dog's room for when he finishes with his test." Lime suggested as she turned her head to the side to look at Pixel.
"But what about those girls and those two Dragon Council Agents?" Pixel asked as he also turned his head to the side.
"We'll just have to keep them away." Lime suggested.
"Yes, that won't look suspicious." Pixel said sarcastically.
As their conversation continued from below, on the roof, Lin-Lin grunted as she got to her feet. "What are you doing?" Jake III asked as he turned his head to the side. "Get back down or you'll be seen."
"I'm not really worried about that, Jake." Lin-Lin looked down at him. "Cadence, Jackal and I are going back inside. Remember, Fu told us to come and get him when the assassins got here."
"Okay, so what about me?" Jake asked.
Lin-Lin smirked. "You wanted excitement, right?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"You're going to distract them while we go get Fu Dog." Lin-Lin said. "You're the distraction."
"Wait, so you're leaving me to face them all by myself?" Jake asked, not believing his ears.
"You can handle that, right?" Lin-Lin asked, still smirking.
"You bet." Jake smiled.
Back down on the ground, the five dogs wrapped up their discussion. "So, it is settled then..." Pixel said. "...We will keep you hidden in Fu Dog's room. When he returns, you will be able to attack him and eliminate him."
"Sounds good enough." Caribou said. "Lead the way to his room."
"Follow us." Pixel said before he and Lime turned around and started to walk forward, leading Caribou, the Kooikerhondje and the Karelian Bear Dog toward the stairs. However, just as Pixel and Lime reached the steps, Jake III dropped down from the roof.
Turning her head to the side, the Kooikerhondje watched as Jake turned to face them, pulling his sword from its sheath. "Um, who is that?" She asked, prompting Lime to turn her head to the side.
"Ugh, that's one of the Dragon Council Agents that is with Fu Dog." She groaned.
In response to this, the five dogs all turned to face him, all watching as Jake took his sword in both hands. He smiled cockily. "Your plot to eliminate Fu Dog has come to an end." He declared. Then, with a grunt, he charged for the five dogs.

As Jake III got closer and closer to the five dogs, the Karelian Bear Dog growled for a few seconds before he grunted, leaping towards Jake and hitting him, making Jake grunt and fall onto his back.
"Well done, Jughead." Caribou said with a grin as she watched as Jake put both hands on each side of the Karelian Bear Dog and tried to push him away, but Jughead was able to hold his ground. "Kill him."
Gladly." Jughead said with a wicked smile before he snarled and looked down, hoping to start to maul Jake in the face, only to have Jake quickly bring his head up and head-butt the dog in the face. As Jughead reacted accordingly, Jake finally managed to roll over, taking Jughead with him, slamming the dog onto his side.
Snarling, Caribou started to run towards Jake, who, with Jughead dazed on the ground, rushed over to his fallen sword. Snarling, Caribou leapt up and landed on Jake's back, making Jake cry out as he was thrown down onto the ground, right in front of his sword.
Lifting his head up, Jake reached out and grabbed hold of his sword. Once he had it, he grunted and rolled over onto his back, making Caribou scramble back, her eyes widening as Jake put the tip of the sword close to her neck.
LINE BREAK
Lin-Lin, Cadence and Jackal all ran down the halls of the school. As they neared a corner, they had no idea that a young girl was turning the corner, making the three of them stop so they wouldn't hit the girl.
"You look like you're in a hurry." The girl noted.
"We are." Lin-Lin replied. "We're looking for the testing arena."
"Do you know where it is?" Jackal asked.
"Sure." The girl replied with a small smile.
"Do...Do you think you could take us there?' Lin-Lin asked. "We're looking for, um, a friend."
"Sure." the girl shrugged. Starting to turn around. "Follow me." She then started to walk forward, Lin-Lin, Jackal and Cadence all starting to follow her.
LINE BREAK
Back outside, Jake III was forced to walk backwards; even though he was holding his sword at the five dogs, they were all advancing on him, forcing him back. Jughead jumped forward, trying to bite Jake in his lower leg, but Jake managed to jump back and swing his sword down at Jughead's head. Unfortunately for Jake, Jughead managed to jump back, avoiding the sharp blade.
"You made the wrong choice when you came down here to fight us." Caribou said. "There's no way that you're going to make it out of this one."
"I don't believe that." Jake replied before he bent his knees, grunting as he jumped into the air and flipped over the dogs, landing on his feet. Quickly turning around, Jake lashed out with the blade of his sword, but all five of the dogs ran forward, dodging the blade.
A few seconds later, the five dogs all came to a stop and slowly turned to face Jake. "Okay..." Jake said as he took hold of his sword in both hands. "...We're clearly not getting anywhere fighting like this. Now, I suggest we do one-on-one."
All five dogs snarled at him. Ignoring his suggestion, they all started to charge at him.
LINE BREAK
Meanwhile, the girl led Jackal, Cadence and Lin-Lin to the two, big closed doors to the testing arena. Turning and reaching for the knob to one of the doors, the girl smiled. "This is it." She said before she turned the knob. Stepping to the side, she opened the door. "Whoever you are looking for should be right inside." The girl finished.
"Thank you." Lin-Lin said with a small smile as Cadence and Jackal hurried forward, turning and rushing into the room. Walking as fast as she could, Lin-Lin followed the two talking animals,
As soon as Lin-Lin turned into the testing arena, she found herself facing down a stairway that led down to several rows of seats, like a movie theater. The only light that was coming from the room was the arena.
Without a second thought, Lin-Lin started to walk down the steps, looking in both directions for any sign of Cadence and Jackal. "Psst, hey!" Upon hearing the shushed sound of Jackal's voice, Lin-Lin turned her head back to normal, seeing Cadence and Jackal at the bottom of the stairs, in the middle of two rows of seats. In the last seat on the left side sat the principal of the school, who was staring into the arena. In the first seat of the right-sided row was Nayeli, who was looking at Cadence and Jackal with her head turned to the side. Encarna, who was sitting in the second chair in the row, had turned around in her chair and was looking at Lin-Lin. "Over here!" Jackal instructed.
"Coming!" Lin-Lin called, continuing down the stairs.
As Lin-Lin finished walking down the stairs, Jackal and Cadence walked out from the in-between of the rows, allowing Lin-Lin to walk up to their former place.
Putting a gentle hand on the principal's shoulder, Lin-Lin and the principal both turned their heads to the side so they could talk together. "Are you here to watch?" The principal asked.
"No." Lin-Lin replied. "I'm here for Fu Dog."
"But he's just about to start his test."
"He hasn't started yet?" Cadence asked.
"No, not yet." The principal replied. "He's just about to start. You don't want to watch?"
"No, I need to get Fu Dog out of here." Lin-Lin said.
"But he's about to start his test." This was the principal's sole argument.
"But if he hasn't started it yet, then can't you just call it off and start it at another time?" Lin-Lin asked.
"I had to schedule this." The principal argued. "If I were to call it off, I have no idea when I'd be able to reschedule it."
"That's okay." Lin-Lin insisted. "Just as long as he can take it at another date."
"I don't understand why you insist that he shouldn't take it." The principal said.
Listening to the conversation between the principal and Lin-Lin, Cadence growled and rolled her eyes. "Oh, just let me handle it!" She blurted out before she moved over to Lin-Lin and the principal. Arriving at Lin-Lin's side, she used the side of her head to nudge Lin-Lin's leg, moving her to the side.
As Lin-Lin stepped to the side, Cadence grunted as she hopped up onto her hind legs, putting her front paws on the principal's leg. "There are three assassins from the Magical Mafia outside!" Cadence angrily told the principal, a glint of madness in her eyes. "They are going to kill Fu Dog! We have to get him out of here. Do you understand?! It isn't safe for him!"
Swallowing hard, the principal lifted his head up and turned his head to the side, seeing Fu Dog and a dragon-formed Shae facing another dragon, the dragon giving them the instructions for the test.
"F...FU DOG!" The principal shouted.
LINE BREAK
Back outside, Chopsticks, the Kooikerhondje, soared through the air, biting into Jake III's wrist, making him drop his sword as he lifted his head up and howled in pain. Hearing the sounds of panting, Jake lowered his head to see Lime and Jughead charging at him.
Thinking quickly, Jake grunted as he thrust his arm forward, making Chopsticks lose her grip on his wrist. Yelping, Chopsticks flew back, but while Lime grunted as she was hit, both she and Chopsticks flying back, Jughead moved to the side, avoiding the attack and continuing to charge at Jake.
Quickly, Jake turned and started to kneel down so he could grab his sword, but Jughead leapt into the air and tackled him down. Yelping, Jake fell to the side, hitting the side of his head down on the cement hard enough to knock him unconscious.
With the fight over, Lime, Chopsticks, Pixel and Caribou all met up with each other and watched as Jughead got off of the unconscious Jake. "He's down." Jughead said, turning his head to the side.
"Did you kill him?" Caribou asked.
"He's just unconscious." Jughead replied.
"Well, kill him!" Caribou ordered.
"No." Pixel interposed. "Don't kill him."
"Why not?" Caribou declared, turning her head to the side to look at him.
"Fighting has already wasted enough time." Pixel said. "We need to get you to Fu Dog's room before he finishes his test and comes back to his room."
"Then what are we going to do with him?" Caribou narrowed her eyes.
"Leave that to Lime and myself." Pixel said, turning his head to the side to look at Caribou.
"Wait." Jughead said, taking a step forward, making Pixel turn his head back to normal. "She..." Jughead used his paw to point at Lime. "...Told us that Fu Dog knows that we're after him."
"So?" Caribou asked.
"After he..." Jughead indicated back to Jake III. "...Came down to give us a fight, I think it's clear that they are well-prepared for us." Caribou scoffed, but Jughead continued. "It's clear to me that someone has told Fu Dog. Someone who could really put this mission of ours in jeopardy."
"Well, what do you want to do about it?" Chopsticks asked sarcastically.
"I think we should wait until we have found out who has told Fu Dog." Jughead advised. "Once they are out of the way, then we can get down to killing Fu Dog."
"I think you're crazy." Caribou said. "That's not important. Getting rid of Fu Dog is what is important.
"No, no, no..." Pixel said, turning his head to the side to look at Caribou. "...I think that Jughead has a point."
"You do?" Caribou asked with disbelief, turning her head to the side as well.
"Not only that, but I think your boss would agree with him." Pixel said.
"Just a second ago, you were talking about not wanting to waste time!" Caribou's eyes filled with anger.
"Well, plans change." Pixel told her. "And sometimes, they can be for the better. Jughead is right. Fu Dog knows about you. He knows that you are dogs and he knows that there are three of you. Someone must have told him. They can be a hindrance, and if not put down, they will continued to be a hindrance."
"So, you want to scratch the plan of hiding in his room?" Caribou asked.
"Yes, just wait outside." Pixel said. "Once we discover who has given Fu Dog this information, Lime and I will return to you. Once the informant is taken down, Fu Dog will be all yours."
BLACKOUT; COMMERCIAL
BACK TO THE STORY/SHOW
Lin-Lin, Fu Dog, Cadence, Jackal, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna all hurried out of the testing arena, all turning and starting to run down the hall.
"So, the three dogs are here?" Fu asked.
"Yeah." Lin-Lin said. "And you'll never believe it, but those two dogs-Pixel and Lime-they're working with the assassins!"
"What?" Shae asked, shocked.
"Well, I guess we now know how they fund the school." Fu muttered. "They must work for the Magical Mafia, and with the money the Mafia pays them, they become the school mascots."
"Good theory." Lin-Lin said.
"Hey, wait a second." Nayeli finally spoke up. "Where's that Jake guy?"
"Oh, don't worry about him." Lin-Lin said with a smile as she turned her head to the side. "He's doing his part."
"No, seriously." Fu said, also turning his head to the side. "Where's the kid?"
"He's fighting the dogs." Lin-Lin said, looking at Fu for a few seconds before she turned her head back to normal. "He can handle them. I have faith in him."
LINE BREAK
Down in the basement of the school, Jake III, who had regained consciousness, was sitting in a chair, which Lime and Pixel were tying him to. Pixel, with the rope in his mouth, stepped back, tightening the already tied rope that was wrapped around Jake's upper body and the chair. Jake, who had already had been gagged and had his hands tied behind the back of the chair, grunted in discomfort as he was forced even more against the chair, while Lime used her mouth to tighten the already tied rope that was binding Jake's ankles together.
Once his feet were tied, Lime let go of the rope, and walked around the side of the chair, meeting Pixel face-to-face. "I don't understand." Lime said. "Why don't we just kill him?"
"Because we need to find out who told Fu Dog about Caribou, Chopsticks and Jughead." Pixel replied. "After that's taken care of, then we can take care of him." When Lime gave him a questioning look, Pixel just smiled. "No one is going to find him down here."
Turning his head to the side, Jake watched as Pixel and Lime both started to walk back over to the stairs that would take them up to the halls of the school. "And he won't be getting free on his own, either." Pixel added.
Turning his head back to normal, Jake watched as the two dogs started to walk up the stairs, leaving him all alone. Knowing that the two dogs would now not notice him, Jake turned his head to the side, glancing over his shoulder as he started to test the ropes that bound his hands. Turning his head back to normal, he grunted as he pulled against the ropes that held him in the chair.
LINE BREAK
Meanwhile, back on the Island of Draco, Holly stood facing the now human-formed Councilor Yara and the also human-formed Councilor Agata.
Holly sighed. "So, you sent the three of them after Socorro?" She asked.
"It was the only thing we could think of." Yara said. "She was getting away with Dragon Harris. What were we supposed to do? Just let her get away?"
"I'm not criticizing your decision, Councilors." Holly said. "I'm just concerned.
"I'm sure they'll be back soon..." Agata said optimistically. "...And they'll have Dragon Harris with them, safe and sound."
"We can only hope." Holly said.
"I think your hope just became the real deal, Councilor!" Came the sound of Dynean's voice. Her eyes widening, Holly reacted immediately; she, Agata and Yara all turned, seeing Demetria, Dynean, Phoebe and Haley all reaching the island.
Within seconds, Demetria (who was still holding the box with Socorro's dark magic in it), Phoebe, Dynean and Haley all landed on the island.
"Haley!" Holly sounded relieved as she, Yara and Agata all walked over to the four new arrivals, who all reverted to their human forms together. "It's great to see that you're okay." Holly said.
"Thanks, Holly." Haley replied.
"What happened?" Agata asked. "How were you three able to rescue her?"
"We followed Socorro all the way to a cave in Central Park." Dynean explained. "Socorro, Kay and Cleo were trying to corrupt Mrs. Harris with their dark magic."
"Just like I told you they wanted to." Haley added.
"We prevented it from happening." Demetria smirked, and then held up Socorro's box for Holly to see. "And now Socorro won't be able to try again."
Holly's face lit up when she saw the box. "Excellent!" She exclaimed. "You got the rest of the dark magic back." Reaching out with her free hand, she took it. "After so long, we finally have this back in our possession, and now we can keep it safely hidden."
After Holly said this, she, Councilor Yara and Councilor Agata all turned and started to walk back towards the Main Hall. Not knowing what else to do, Dynean, Demetria, Phoebe and Haley all started to follow them.
Having fallen behind Agata and Yara, Holly walked all by herself for a few moments before she finally turned her head to the side, glancing over her shoulder to see Haley, Demetria, Dynean and Phoebe walking after them.
"Haley?" Holly asked.
"Yes?" Haley responded within a millisecond.
"Can I talk to you?" Holly asked before she turned her head back to normal.
"Sure." Haley replied before she started to make her way over to the head of the Council, finally stopping at her side. "Yes, Holly?" She asked.
Taking a deep breath and exhaling, Holly turned her head to the side. "I'm surprised that Socorro actually tried to corrupt you with the dark magic." She said.
LINE BREAK
Back at the Animal Guardian Academy, Pixel used the tip of his snout to push open the door to the room Fu Dog, Jake III, Lin-Lin, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna all shared. With the door all the way opened, Pixel walked inside, followed by Lime, who stopped at his side when he stopped after taking only four steps into the room.
After looking around the room for a second or two, they quickly concluded that...
"It's empty." Lime said.
"Then we'll wait." Pixel said, starting to walk further into the room.
"Um, we're just going to wait here until they get back?" Lime asked. "Wouldn't that be kind of awkward once they do get back?"
Pixel sighed as he reached the side of the bed. Slowly turning to face her, he said: "It won't be awkward, because they won't see us until the time is right. We'll hide here, under the bed."
Seconds later, just outside the room, Lin-Lin, Fu Dog, Nayeli, Cadence, Jackal, Encarna and Shae all arrived at the room. Failing to notice that the door was wide open when it had been closed when she and Jake III had left, she stopped at the side of the room while Fu Dog, Jackal, Cadence, Nayeli, Encarna and Shae all walked into the room. "Just stay in here for now." She said.
Once they were all in the room, she turned and stepped into to the doorway, seeing that they were all looking at her. "But you said that we were going to get out of here." Fu argued.
"And we are." Lin-Lin promised. "I just have to go get Jake. He's outside, and hopefully, he's defeated all of the dogs. Besides, while I'm gone, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna can keep you safe, right?"
"Sure." Shae said.
"Okay, good." Lin-Lin said with a small smile before she turned and hurried down the hall.
LINE BREAK
Moments later, the doors to the school were opened, and Lin-Lin quickly started to walk down the steps. "Jake!" She called out. Upon reaching the bottom step, she turned to the side, seeing nothing. Jake was gone, and so were the dogs.
"Jake?" Lin-Lin asked again, before it finally caught her sight. Jake's sword, on the ground. The only thing outside the school.
Still, as her eyes filled with worry, Lin-Lin tried to convince herself that everything was okay. Jake was fine. Everything was under control. "Jake?" She asked again, and as she continued to stare at Jake's sword, she once again received no answer.
As full-on panic started to set in, Lin-Lin jogged over to the sword, and once she reached it, she crouched down and took hold of the sword by its handle. Holding it up, Lin-Lin once again tried to see if she could see Jake outside somewhere.
After coming to the conclusion that Jake was nowhere to be seen, she turned her head back to normal and looked down at his sword in her hand. "Jake..."
LINE BREAK
Back in Fu Dog's, Pixel and Lime were under the bed, watching as Nayeli, Shae and Encarna all stood together by the bed. They were all staring at Fu Dog, who was lying on the bed, having no clue that Lime and Pixel were underneath it.
"So, I have a question." Shae said.
"Yeah?" Fu asked.
"So, if you're not going to take the test..." Shae asked. "...And they're going to get you out of here, does that mean that you're not coming back for us? We're not going to take this test?"
"Lin-Lin already said that he will be coming back." Nayeli replied.
"Yep." Fu smiled. "What she said. Once these dogs are out of here, we'll be able to take the test and I'll be able to become an Animal Guardian again."
From behind the three girls, Cadence started to chuckle evilly. "What?" Fu Dog asked. Seconds later, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna were all forced to step to the side as Cadence walked up to the bed. As soon as she reached the side of the bed, the panther grunted as she hopped up on her hind legs, putting her front paws on the bed.
"It won't be that easy, Fu Dog." Cadence taunted him.
"Oh, I'll have protection." Fu said.
Cadence seemingly ignored Fu's comment about protection, for she continued: "We may not meet again for a while, but we will meet again."
"I think it will take a few hundred years." Fu teased her. "If not longer."
From underneath the bed, Pixel turned his head to the side to look at Lime. "It looks like this is the informant." He whispered.
"Should we attack now?" Lime asked, turning her head to the side as well.
"No." Pixel replied. "We should try to wait and see if the girls will leave the room first."
"I will get you Fu Dog..." Cadence growled, and just as she hopped off of the bed, the panting Lin-Lin rushed and turned into the room. As she breathed heavily, Fu Dog turned his head to the side, while Nayeli, Encarna and Shae, and even Jackal, turned to face her.
"What is it?" Fu asked.
"Jake." Lin-Lin said once she caught her breath.
"Where is he?" Nayeli asked. "Did you get him?"
"Does it look like I found him?" Lin-Lin asked as she held up Jake's sword. "This was all I could find of him. He's missing." Fear filled her eyes. "I messed up. I...I need to find him."
"Well, do it." Fu Dog told her. "The sooner you find him, the sooner we can get away from this school."
"I don't know where to look." Lin-Lin said helplessly as she lowered Jake's sword. "God, what if something horrible happened to him?"
"Look around the school." Nayeli suggested.
Turning her head to the side, Lime watched as Lin-Lin turned and started to walk down the hall, although she only saw Lin-Lin's feet walking along the floor. "What if she finds him?" Lime asked nervously, turning her head in the other direction to look at Pixel.
"She won't." Pixel muttered, just as Nayeli turned back to face Fu Dog. Unfortunately for Pixel, although his voice was hushed, it was still loud enough for the girl to hear, her ear twitching.
Nayeli watched as Fu Dog groaned as he turned his head back to normal. "She screwed up, alright." He grumbled. "She prob-" However, he was cut off as Nayeli held up a hand to stop him.
"Shh." Nayeli said as she lowered her hand, Fu's eyes filling with anger.
"What?!" He demanded.
"Do you hear something?" Nayeli asked.
"Like what?" Fu asked.
"Like...voices..." Nayeli whispered.
Underneath the bed, Lime's eyes filled with fear. However, when Fu replied "No", she sighed with relief.
"Is it just me?" Nayeli asked as Cadence walked around her, walking back over to Jackal. Nayeli's question caused Shae and Encarna turned their heads to their sides so they could look at her.
"Where do you hear the voices, Nayeli?" Shae asked.
"Under the bed." Nayeli replied. Upon hearing this, Lime's eyes once again filled with panic.
"What are we going to do?" She whispered as she turned her head to the side to look at Pixel.
"Maybe she's on to something." Shae said, she, Nayeli and Encarna all looking at Fu Dog.
"I don't hear anything." Fu Dog insisted. "What do you want me to do?"
"Well, maybe we could look under the bed?" Shae suggested.
"What do we do?!" Lime asked urgently; she was panicking while Pixel was trying his best to calmly think of a solution.
"You can be my guest." Fu told the three girls. "But let me ask you two something..." He addressed Shae and Encarna. "...Do you hear anything? Do you hear any voices?"
"No." Shae replied, while Encarna just lightly shook her head.
"Well, did you ever just consider that she's just hearing things?" Fu asked. "She's the only one who hears these voices. Ever consider the possibility that it's all in her head?"
"No." Shae replied before she turned her head to the side again to look at Nayeli. "He brings up a good point, Nayeli..."
"How about this, kid?" Fu asked. "Have you heard those voices again?"
Nayeli waited a few seconds before she finally replied, like she was trying to think of what to say. Yet, when she finally answered, her answer was exactly what Fu Dog expected: "No."
"See." Fu smiled. "You're worrying about nothing. I'm sure it was all in your head."
"I guess." Nayeli admitted, although she didn't sound like she believed it. She could have sworn that she had heard a voice from under the bed.
"Now that that's cleared up..." Fu said, still smiling. "...We can relax as we wait for that Lin-Lin lady to come back with the kid."
"Hmm, yeah..." Nayeli said, sounding disappointed. Turning around, she took a step forward, only to stop when she saw that Cadence and Jackal were smiling at her. "What?" She asked.
"Isn't that sweet?" Jackal said mockingly, turning his head to the side to look at Cadence. "The girl is hearing things."
Back under the bed, as Lime shivered from her nervousness, Pixel raised an eyebrow as he heard Jackal's voice. "Who...Who is that?" He asked himself softly. A split second later, his eyes widened. "Wait...THERE'S TWO INFORMANTS?!"
Unfortunately for Pixel, he could not contain himself, and because of his outburst, Jackal and Cadence, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna, and finally Fu Dog all heard him. As their eyes all widened, they knew that Nayeli had not just been hearing things.
Quickly, Nayeli turned and hurried over to the bed, and as soon as she reached the side of the bed, Fu Dog standing up and watching her, she crouched down and started to lift the covers draped over the side of the bed up.
However, before she could get a better look at what was under the bed, she yelped as Pixel leapt out, tackling her to the ground.
