Arizona's plane touches down in Seattle, she calls Callie to let her know, but there is no answer. Arizona pays no mind to it, she knows Callie is a busy lady. As she collects her luggage, she requests an Uber. Within no time she is back at her place unwinding with a glass of wine and thinking about her New York trip. At first she thought about that special night, which turned her on again, but she also thought about the move. Arizona is over the moon that she has her love back in her life, but it is nerve racking too. The endless arguments and resentment they felt towards each other when they broke up. A couple glasses of wine later, Callie returns Arizona's call, but Arizona is a little tipsy at this point. Callie giggles because she remembers drunk Arizona. They tell each other "I love you."
The next morning, Arizona arranges a meeting with the rest of Grey Sloan's board members to inform them she is leaving in a couple weeks. This angered a couple, as Arizona is the best in her field, aside from Dr. Herman, but Dr. Herman no longer practices medicine. Now the rest of the board members need to hire a new head of fetal surgery.
Later that evening, she calls Callie to let her know that she put in her notice, Callie is thrilled to hear this news. Before they ended their call, Callie brings up a topic that may or may not change Arizona's mind about moving out there. They both want to be with each other badly, but there are some issues that need to be addressed first. Arizona blamed Callie for long time about her leg, and Callie hated herself for having to make the choice to cut it off. Callie needs reassurance that there isn't anymore resentment towards her, she can't go through that again, nor can she handle the cheating. Arizona sat silent for a minute or two to think of a response that would put Callie's mind at ease. Finally Arizona takes a breath, then responds to Callie's concerns with "I'm so sorry I put you through before, that was not fair at all. I love you so much, Calliope Torres, I don't want anyone else. I hope you can forgive me for everything I put you through." All Arizona could hear from the other end of the line was a soft sniffle, like Callie cried. "Are you okay babe?" Arizona asks. Callie finally responds "I love you so much, I wish you were here right now." "Soon babe, soon." Arizona replies. Before they knew it, it was 1 am, they both need to work in the morning, so they tell each other I love you, and they both went to sleep, dreaming about their upcoming life together.
The next morning, Arizona receives a call from her mom, she is informed that her dad is in hospital.
