1 week ago today Daniel was released from Grey Sloan, he is itching to get home, and not be a burden, even though Arizona has told him repeatedly he isn't one. Still, he would like to get back to his normal life and routines. Like anyone who is military, routine is everything. He waits patiently for Arizona to come home from work to discuss the matter of him flying home.
As Arizona walks in, she can smell the delicious meal her mom is cooking, and sees her dad sitting in the recliner in the living room. The first thing she says is "that smells great mom." Barbera smiles at her, then carries on with cooking. Arizona places her bag down by the door, and proceeds into the living room. "Hi dad, how are you feeling today?" Arizona asks. "I feel a lot better, I actually would like to discuss the possibility of going home." Daniel replies. "Have you had any pain or any discomfort in the past 48 hours?" Arizona asks. "None at all, I'm actually quite mobile now." Daniel replies. "Alright then, when were you thinking about leaving?" Arizona asked. "Probably tomorrow night." Daniel replies. "Okay, but make sure you grab a wheel chair at the airport before and after you land." Arizona said sternly. "Yes ma'am." Daniel said with a slight chuckle. They all moved into the dining room to enjoy the last meal they are going to have for a while.
Later that night, after Barbera and Daniel were asleep, Arizona called Callie and told her that her mom and dad are leaving tomorrow, a d her last shift at Grey Sloan is 3 days away. "That's great news babe, we are that much closer to being whole again." "I will let you know how tomorrow goes, I had a very busy day at work, and your not here to massage me." Arizona says playfully. "Oh, don't you worry honey, I will rub you everyday once you're here." Callie replies. "Ooo, I can't wait." Arizona replies seductively. Both of the ladies bid each other "goodnight", and exchanged "I love you."
