It has been a month since Arizona moved to New York, and everything is going well thus far. She is working alongside Dr. Herman at the Center For Women's Health. Callie is doing more study and work with veterans, now that there is a second parent at home she can. Sofia's attitude has changed as well, and her grades are improving. Things seem to be going well for everyone.

4 Months Later.

Life in New York was still fairly new to Arizona, she is still adjusting to the people and how hectic it can be at times. Callie is usually there to remind her she isn't alone, but lately, she has been a little distant due to work. Her new study keeps her busy, which is starting to bother Arizona. "This isn't what I came here for," Arizona thought while sitting alone in the living room. Sofia had her own social life when she wasn't busy with homework, so she was occupied most of the time, but Arizona understands that though, she deserves to have good friends. Arizona finished her glass of wine and then went to bed.

Two hours later, Callie walked through the door. She kicks her heels off to the side and goes into the kitchen to get a glass of wine. Instead of sitting down and relaxing with it, she gulps down the wine and then goes upstairs. Arizona stirred a little because she could hear Callie walking down the hall. Callie walked into the bedroom and headed straight to the bathroom and climbed into the shower. Arizona didn't say anything, she had her back turned, so Callie thought Arizona was fast asleep. By the time Callie was done in the shower, Arizona was fast asleep again. Callie checked her phone one last time and then went to sleep.

The next morning, Arizona is sitting in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, and a short while later Callie walks in and grabs a cup. "Good morning," Callie said to Arizona. "Good morning," Arizona replied. "Is everything okay, something felt off last night," Callie asks with concern in her voice. "I think we need to sit down and talk," Arizona responds. "Okay, can I ask what it's about?" Callie asked with worry. "I need to go to work, but can we please sit down and talk once I get home?" Arizona asked in return. "Sure, of course, I will leave early," Callie replied instantly. Sofia walks into the kitchen shortly afterwards, "good morning," she says disgruntled at the idea of being awake early. Both Callie and Arizona replied "good morning," and then chuckled to themselves. They all left shortly after to go on with their days.

Noon rolls around, and Callie gets a call from Sofia's school. "Hello?" Callie answers quizzically. "Hi, Dr. Torres, this is Sofia's principal, Mr. Roth, I'm calling about the fight Sofia was involved in this afternoon. Is it possible to come in and discuss the matter?" Callie was taken aback by this news. "Yes, of course, I can, what time would you like me there?" she asked. "Could you come by in 30 minutes?" Mr. Roth inquired. "Sure thing," Callie replied. "Thank you, see you soon, Dr. Torres," Mr. Roth says before hanging up. Callie sighed, then called Arizona to let her know what was happening.

Callie parks her car in the visitor's lot and proceeds to walk into Sofia's school. As she approached the office door she sees Sofia sitting in the waiting area, she swings the door open, but before she could talk to Sofia, Mr. Roth calls out, "Dr. Torres." Callie looks over at Mr. Roth and then starts walking towards him, "please explain what is going on, I want Sofia in here as well so I can hear her side of the story," Callie persisted. "Well, Sofia was involved in a physical fight with another girl earlier this morning, but I can't get a straight answer out of either as to who started it first," Mr. Roth answered. "It seems that if I can't get an answer, I will have to suspend both of them," Mr. Roth continued. "Suspend?" Callie exclaims angrily, "Let me talk to her and see if I can get her to talk to me before you jump ahead and suspend her, this sort of thing will stay on her permanent record," Callie asked, almost begging. "Alright, you can talk in my office," Mr. Roth replied. Callie walked back into the waiting area to get Sofia, then went back into the office with only her. "What the hell were you thinking? They are considering suspension unless one of you owns up or talks, so spill it, now!" Callie demanded. "Amanda started saying harsh things about you and mom, and how you "people" are gross and shouldn't be allowed to exist," Sofia explained almost in tears. "I wanted to explain it all to you before I explained it to Mr. Roth," Sofia added. "There will always be people who don't accept us, it is a part of life sadly," Callie replied. "Forget this Amanda idiot, she is ignorant," Callie continued. Callie waved Mr. Roth to come back into the office, and they explained the whole situation to him. "I will be dealing with Amanda as soon as you two ladies leave, and don't worry Sofia, you are not in trouble for this," Mr. Roth assured.

Later that evening, Sofia and Callie explained everything to Arizona, and Callie apologized for not being home to talk, but Arizona completely understood. "Maybe tomorrow we can sit down and talk?" Arizona asked. "For sure, as long as Sofia doesn't throw more fists around," Callie says jokingly. They all had a good laugh and went on with their night.
