As I get to the Temple of the Lion, I hear Lisa say, "Hey cutie. Are you going to help me out too? How kind of you."
"Hey, Lisa. Why is it that a librarian like you, is at the ruins?"
"Hmm... Good question. Well, because Jean trusts me. So you should as well."
"It seems you and Jean have a close relationship."
"We do. Let's deal with the temple so I can be a little less... tense." As we head up the stairs in the domain, Lisa says, "I guess I could give this a go." As we walk further into the temple, we see an elevated area and Lisa says, "I knew it. There is strong elemental energy coming from deep within this temple. Paimon, are you able to float across?"
"She can't do much even if she does," I say.
"Good point. We better start looking for a way up then," Lisa says.
Turning the corner, I see a wind current. "There's a wind current there. Let's ride it up," I say.
Lisa and I both summon our wind gliders and glide up. We get to a room that has a door and one of the cube devices. I walk to the device and place my hand on it, opening the door. As the door opens, we see that there is a pyro slime.
"Leave it to me, cutie," Lisa says as she heads down to the pyro slime.
Lisa attacks the slime by summoning electro and shocking the slime. After two attacks the slime explodes.
"Nice job," I say and we head into a room with an electro monument.
"It's an electro monument. Let me try to activate it with a bit of electro. Stand back, sweeties," Lisa says as she hits the monument with a shock of electro and it lights up as the door to the right of us opens.
Walking down the stairs, we get to a room with water on the floor and four hillichurls.
"When it comes to wet enemies, I've got it covered," Lisa says.
"Got it," I say as I summon wind to keep me afloat above the water. "I don't want to get electrocuted."
"Smart choice," Lisa says as she electrocutes the hilichurls.
As Lisa finishes off the hilichurls, a door to the right of us opens, revealing a wind current. We both head towards the wind current and summon our wind gliders, gliding up. As we get close to the door, it opens, revealing another room with a large hydro slime and three hilichurls.
I stay up on the ledge as Lisa jumps down, summoning electro, shocking the large hydro slime. After she shocks the large hydro slime, lightning goes from the slime to the hilichurls, shocking them. Lisa finishes them off by holding her hand in the air, summoning a ball of electro. She lets it go, finishing off all the enemies.
"Chain lightning can be set off between Electro-charged opponents," Lisa says as I jump down. "The electrical discharge caused by friction is only a little less shocking than love at first sight."
Exiting the room as a door opens straight ahead of us, I ask, "Lisa, what is that gem on your neck?"
"You're kidding. You're seriously asking? This is a Vision. It's used by the chosen to draw on elemental powers. In terms of mysticism, I suppose you could call it a 'magical lightning rod'." After we cross the moving platform, Lisa asks, "What? You've never seen a Vision? Just where exactly are you from? Are you a hilichurl with some level of reasonable intelligence? No, I doubt it. After all, hilichurls aren't exactly known for their smarts. And you, you'd more or less qualify to be a magister's apprentice.
We glide up on a wind current, reaching a room with one of Stormterror's crystals. Approaching it, Lisa says, "Break it and we can head home and relax. The thought of putting my feet up and relaxing has me all fired up!" After I finish breaking the crystal, Lisa says, "Dragon of the East, Lion of the South, Wolf of the North, Falcon of the West. They are the Four Winds of Mondstadt, affiliated with Barbatos, the God of Anemo. The Dragon of the East, Stormterror - its real name is Dvalin. Though most in Mondstadt seem to have forgotten that in all this 'Stormterror' business. So now you know why Dvalin is only able to channel three of the Four Winds' power. Because it has been consuming itself from the beginning."
"Why would it go to such lengths?" I ask.
"Because of hatred, I presume."
"Hatred?" Paimon asks.
"Hatred for Mondstadt. Hatred drove it to become something more powerful than the wind itself - to become Stormterror."
"But why would one of The Four Winds hate the city it was supposed to protect?"
Lisa is silent for a while before saying, "As a child of Mondstadt, it's something that's really hard to say aloud. Here, take this." Lisa hands me a book titled, Breeze Amidst the Forest Supplement: The Dragon Tome. "It's a very old story from more than a century ago."
"Thank you," I say putting the book in my bag. "I'll read it when I get back to the hotel."
We leave the temple and Lisa heads off as Paimon and I stay behind for a bit. I notice that the skies have cleared up as Paimon says, "Phew, it's finally done. Well, all that 'ley flow' and 'elemental lines' stuff Lisa was going on about should hopefully be back to normal. Wanna go back and see how the Knights are doing?"
"Sure," I say and we head off toward Mondstadt.
