Chapter 3. Fragments
Wendy's eyes were fixated on the three exceeds laying on her bed. She wanted to watch to see how their talk would go and felt great joy for both Touka and Carla when she heard Happy's decision….but she never expected it would lead to sex. As soon as they pushed him down and started to rub and kiss him was when her eyes widened and her cheeks became red. She watched it all, the undressing, the orals, and the sex. She couldn't look away due to shock, but also because of curiosity. She had never seen or really experienced heated intamy, so the curiosity of it paired with it happening in front of her, locked her in place.
She stepped back, her body feeling warm and a great heat being felt between her thighs. She closed the door, gently so as to not wake the sleeping exceeds. She made her way to the couch and laid down on it. She wanted to sleep but the images of the three exceeds heated actions kept playing on her eyes. She grabbed a pillow on the couch and hugged it, closing her legs together in a hopeful attempt to calm down the growing heat coming off. She closed her eyes but the scene still played in her mind. The hotness between her legs became greater as it played on loop. She squeezed the pillow in her arms, starting to lightly sweat as she laid to her side and balled up. She wasn't getting much sleep tonight.
The morning rays pierced the windows of the room and shunted on Happys closed eyes, causing the blue exceed to slightly groan.
"Happy." Carla cooed
"Happy-sama." Touka cooed as well.
Happy groaned and felt soft pokes on his cheeks. He opened his eyes and was greeted by his two loves. He smiled. "Morning."
"Good morning." They said in unison.
"How did you sleep?" Touka asked.
"I slept great!" Happy stated, getting a giggle from the two. "You?"
"I slept lovely." Touka stated.
"I did as well. Best sleep I've gotten in a long time." Carla mentioned.
"Did cuddling Happy-sama help?"
Carla nuzzled Happy's neck. "Definitely."
"Better than that body pillow I bet, which probably needs some adjustments."
Carla blushed. "Touka!"
Touka gave a mischievous grin and Happy looked at Carla curiously. "What body pillow?" He asked.
"Well," Carla avoided eye contact, "a little while after you disappeared I may have gotten a small pillow that...had a picture of you on it."
"Oh wow, that's cute!"
Carla blushed harder. "You dont think it's weird?"
"Not at all!"
Carla smiled at him.
"And you said it was embarrassing." Touka remarked.
"Oh Hush you." Carla laughed.
They snuggled Happy a little more. Happy sighed contently before saying something. "We should probably get ready for the day." He said
"Hmmm probably." Touka agreed, however she, along with Carla, didn't get off him.
"Um, you girls gonna get up?" He asked.
"Nope. You're gonna have to make us." Carla stated.
"Wha? How?"
"Serenade us." Touka replied.
"What?" Happy blushed
"Sing for us." She said.
"Please Happy?" Carla asked cutely, rubbing her finger on his chin.
"Mmm fine but it'll be a short one!"
They smiled widely and snuggled up to him, closing their eyes.
He took a breath and started.
"I've been searching for the evidence of why I am here
In the end, it's been with me, just right inside my pocket
Today's sky seems bluer than ever now that the dark clouds have cleared
and the world has lightened up,it's peaceful everywhere
I once thought that I can't be saved and decided I should just give up
and then one day you came for me, just like the promise you once made
Now that we're together again let's start once more find the meaning of life
Just like a fading melody
All of the saddest memories disappear
Because a new day is here

Touka and Carla opened their eyes, looked at Happy, and gave him a warm smile.
"What's that song called?" Touka asked.
"Evidence." Happy answered.
"It was beautiful." Carla stated.
"Happy-samas voice or the song?" Touka asked.
"Both."
Happy blushed heavily. "Anyway, let's get dressed, I'm hungry!" He said.
They all got up and found their clothes, placing them back on. Touka and Carla didn't put their panties back on however, they said it's because they're sticky, so they left the room to go to their bedrooms to get new ones, raising their tails to lift the back of their skirts so Happy could get a good view of their butts before they left.
Happy chuckled to himself, stretching before leaving the room. He went to the living room and noticed Wendy laying on the couch, hugging a pillow, with her eyes half lidded. "Hey Wendy." Happy greeted.
Wendy's eyes opened up all the way and she looked at the tomcat. "Oh," she stood up, "hey Happy." She returned the greet.
"Did you sleep on the couch?" He asked.
She nodded. "I couldn't sleep in my bed."
"Why?"
Wendy gave him a silly "take a guess" look.
"Oh right. Guess we did take your bed, hehe." Happy chuckled a little nervously. "Sorry."
"It's fine."
"Um...you didn't hear anything did you?" He asked with a blush.
Wendy blushed as well. "Uh no-no! I plugged my ears when you first went in so you could have some privacy." She lied.
"Oh ok." Happy said. 'What a relief.' He thought, the red in his cheeks slowly fading.
"I did hear you singing though. It woke me up, in a good way of course."
"Oh, that's good." He said, his blush returning.
"Back!" Touka said, entering the room. She wore a green dress with white strips on its edge.
"I am too." Carla announced. She wore a sleeveless white dress top and a black skirt that went below the knee. "You look nice Touka." She complimented."
"Thank you Carla, you look fine yourself." Touka replied.
Wendy smiled, glad the two of them aren't fighting anymore. She got up. "Let's make some breakfast before heading to the guild."
"Aye! Sounds good!" Happy said.
"Hm. Y'know that's the first time you said aye since you've been back." Touka noticed.
"Oh? Monks did say I've been doing it less before I left. Maybe I've just matured."
"Maybe."
Wendy volunteered to make breakfast, and she made everyone an omelet with a side of toast and bacon. They thanked her and began eating.
"Wow that was good!" Happy complemented as he finished his plate.
"Agreed. Thanks Wendy." Touka said.
"You're welcome!" Wendy said.
"Next time, I'll cook for you all, sound good?" Happy stated.
"Sounds great, I bet you picked up a lot of recipes with the monks." Carla stated.
"Yep!" He looked to Wendy, who was grabbing the empty plates. "Maybe we could cook together Wendy."
Wendy felt her heart jump and she stopped in place.
"Wendy?" Happy said with some concern.
Wendy shook her head and looked at Happy with a smile. "I'm fine. That sounds good Happy." She took the dishes and placed them in the sink. She took a breath, wondering why her heart jumped like it did.
They all left the hills and flew their way to the guild, Carla holding Wendy as they did. They opened the front door and walked in.
"Happy!" Natsu yelled and dashed up to the tomcat, scowling at him with his arms crossed.
"Uh, hey Natsu...something wrong?" He asked nervously.
"Where were you last night, mister." He asked.
"Oh, um well, I was-" He felt Touka and Carla grab his arms.
"He was with us last night." Carla told him.
"That's right. Happy-sama spent the night with Carla and me." Touka collaborated.
"Is that right?" Natsu asked.
"Y-yeah! I was with them all night!"
"It's true." Wendy said. "I was there, in fact I'm the one who brought him there."
"Hm…." Natsu dropped his scowl and smiled. "Ok!" He turned and sat back at his table.
They all gawked at him, mentally pinching the bridge of their noses. They all joined him and the others of team Natsu at the table.
"What was that for?" Gray asked Natsu.
"What?" Natsu looked at Gray curiously.
"Don't you "what" me, what was the point of scolding him if you weren't worried at all?"
"I was worried but I knew he'd be fine."
"Contradiction, thine name is Natsu." Lucy said.
"More like idiot." Gray said.
"What was that ice breath!?" Natsu snapped at Gray.
"You heard me!" Gray scowled back.
"Calm down you two." Makarov said while wheeling up to the table.
"Hey gramps!" Happy greeted.
"Hello Happy, it's nice to see you." Makarov smiled. "Mirajane told me about yesterday when I got back, so you're a dragon slayer now!"
"Yeah!" Happy gave him a thumbs up.
"The means of how you became one is a real strange one, I have to admit, but," he reached into his pocket and pulled out a flyer, "that's beside the point. I have a quest I want you all to take." He placed the quest flyer on the table. "This came in this morning, it's a quest about a group of bandits who have been raiding a small village."
"Alright, let's kick some butt!" Natsu said, ready to go.
"Hold on, master is there a reason you asked us specifically?" Erza asked.
"Yes. It's because this quest maker requested for this team to take it, or more specifically, the one who held Acnologia's soul."
Team Natsu gasped and looked towards Happy.
"They asked for me?" Happy said with surprise, pointing at himself.
"Yes. Which begs the question of how did they know you had his soul in you?" Makarov questioned
"And so fast too. I just got back yesterday." Happy stated.
"That too is something I thought about. That's why I want you to take this quest and see what you can find out."
"Are you expecting a trap?" Erza asked.
Makarov nodded. "Be careful." He warned.
"I'm coming too!" Gajeel stated, walking up to them.
"Why are you coming?" Wendy asked.
"Cause the cat and I still have a fight to conclude!" Gajeel stated with a smile. "Besides, Lily's taking the wife and kid out to neo-extillia, Lily got Levy interested in a tour after he got invited over by Shagotte, so I got nothing better to do."
"Why didn't you go with her?" Touka asked.
"His invite was only a plus one and babies don't count."
"Alright, however," Natsu clashed his face with Gajeels. "I already told you, Happy's fighting me first, he's my little buddy!"
"And I told you he's finishing his fight with me first!" Gajeel told him, pushing against him.
"Take a number!" Natsu pushed back.
"I have and it says number one, so wait in line, number two!"
"Let's get going before they fight first." Lucy advised. "Where do we have to go?"
"By the looks of it, it doesn't seem far." Erza said, looking over the flyer. "It should take us about two hours if we take a train."
The word train made the fire and wind dragon slayers freeze up.
"Can't Happy just fly us there in his dragon form!?" Natsu pleaded.
"I already told you I don't have one, I just make a silhouette out of ether." Happy reminded him
"Why not use that then?"
"Cause I have to use dragon force for that, and you know how tiring that is!"
"Toughen it out, salamander!" Gajeel scolded Natsu.
"You'll be just a sick metal head!" Natsu yelled back.
"Hehehe that's what you think."
Wendy shivered. "I'm not looking forward to this."
They all got prepped and departed for the train station. While heading there, Natsu was still trying to come up other ways to get to their destination and trying to coerce Happy into finding another way.
"How bout an earth cannon!" Natsu asked his blue compatriot.
"You crazy!?" Happy asked.
"How bout carrying us by tornado!"
"That won't work!"
"Why not!?"
"Do you know how big it'd have to be, not to mention what I could destroy on the way!?"
"Ok how about-"
"Might as well drop it Natsu. We're here."
They made it to the station, Natsu and Wendy looked at it with unease. "Mercy…" Natsu pleaded.
"I don't wanna get on the-." Wendy started.
"Hey shrimp." Gajeel whispered in her ear, cutting her off.
"Hm?" She heard him whisper something quietly in her ear. "Oh!"
They all got into the station and grabbed a ticket. Now they wait for the next train.
"Carla do you mind if I take Happy-sama's lap on the way there? You can have it on the way back." Touka asked the white exceed.
"I don't mind that." Carla smiled and turned to Happy. "And I'm sure you don't either, right Happy?" She added a hint of seduction to her smile.
Happy had a goofy smile. "Ehehe no objections from me."
Natsu looked at them quizzically. "When did you all get so chummy? Something happen last night?" He asked the three.
The three exceeds blushed, gave a wry smile, and looked away. Wendy blushed as well, but noone noticed due to her not having everyone's attention.
"Maybe one of Happy's songs helped bring them together." Erza remarked.
Happy's face turned bright red and he gawked at Erza.
"It's sort of the reason...wait, how'd you know that Happy sung?" Carla asked.
"You sing, furball?" Gajeel asked Happy with surprise.
"Wendy told me, and apparently he's quite good at it." Erza stated.
"He's amazing at it!" Wendy stated, her eyes lighting up.
"It's true, Happy-sama has a beautiful singing voice." Touka remarked.
"I had no idea." Lucy said surprised.
"Happy singing? Never thought I'd hear that." Gray said.
"Maybe he can sing a song for us on the train?" Wendy suggested. She looked towards Happy. "Can you, Happy?" She asked him.
Happy felt steam coming out his ears. "Um I-I dont know about that, it could cause a disturbance." He said nervously.
"Aww he's blushing!" Touka said, poking his cheeks.
The train came up. "Trains here!" Happy said, trying to change subjects.
"So it is. Let us board." Erza said.
"I don't wanna!" Natsu whined.
"Get. On." Erza glared.
They got onto the train and made it to their seats, Natsu shivering as they sat down. Natsu, Gajeel, Erza, Lucy, and Gray took one section while Happy, Wendy, Carla, and Touka took the one beside them.
"Would you like the window seat?" Happy asked Touka.
"Thatd be nice." Touka answered.
Happy sat near the window and Touka sat herself on his lap, grinning as she wiggled her hips on him. "Best seat on the train." She said, causing the blue exceed to go red.
Carla sat next to the two. "Touka if you keep this up, reds gonna be his permanent color for him." She giggled.
Wendy sat herself infront of Happy and Touka, smiling at the three of them.
The train started moving, the whistle blaring as the engines roared to life. Not even a few seconds of movement had passed and Natsu was already getting motion sick.
"Blurg!" Natsu heaved.
"Come here you." Lucy placed Natsu's head on her lap.
"I hate trains."
"So what do you think we should expect?" Gray asked.
"I doubt we'll see regular bandits, or any type of bandits." Erza noted.
"Well they're expecting Happy, not us."
"Something that bothers me is how they worded it." Lucy said.
"What do you mean?" Wendy asked.
"They ask for the one who held Acnologia's soul. How did they know it was someone from Fairy Tail? Cause they never said Happy's name."
"That's true. Maybe they don't know his name?" Carla theorized.
"That just furthers the question of how they knew it was someone from fairy tail, and so quickly too."
"Do you think it was one of the monks?" Touka asked.
Happy shook his head. "Couldn't be. The monks hardly communicate outside their land."
"It couldn't be someone from fairy tail."
"Maybe someone saw our fight?" Gajeel asked.
"I doubt that….wait a minute." Happy looked between Wendy and Gajeel. "How are you two not sick?"
"Hehehe! Levy gave me a gift, pills for motion sickness!"
"He handed me some before heading on." Wendy admitted
"You jerks!" Natsu sickly yelled. "Give me one!"
Gajeel leaned in. "I'll give ya one if you say you're gonna allow me and the cat to finish our fight!" He grinned devilishly.
Natsu groaned.
"What's it gonna be, salamander?"
"Uuuurgh. Never! Hes my partner!"
Gajeel leaned back, smirking. "Alright. How long til we get there Gray?"
"About an hour and fifty minutes." Gray answered, giving his own evil grin.
"You're evil!" Natsu called them.
Lucy carried a sick Natsu down the path to the village while Gajeel was humming happily.
"I'm gonna kick your ass!" Natsu yelled. "Blurg! As soon as I can see straight."
"Ahahaha!" Gajeel laughed, Natsu may not have submitted, but tormenting him was fun.
They came up to the gate of a large wooden wall. They were greeted by two guardsmen.
"Hello there." One guard greeted. "Please state your business."
"We're wizards of fairy tail," Erza explained, "and we were given a quest to help deal with your bandit situation."
The two guards looked at eachother quizzically.
"May we see this quest?" One of them asked.
Erza took out the quest paper and handed it to him.
The guard surveyed it and handed it to the other guard. Both looked at it with confusion.
"Something wrong?" Erza asked.
"Well...we don't have a bandit problem." The guard told her.
"What?"
"Then why'd we get a quest for it?" Lucy asked.
"I don't know. It doesn't seem fake either." The other guard replied.
"Is there someone we can talk to about this?" Gray asked.
"Yes, our mayor may know. I'll take you to him." The guard led the team into the village. It was a medium sized village, about a fourth of the size of magnolia, tiled roads and walkways, and common buildings and houses. They were led to a big blue house in the center of the town. The guard pressed a button on the side of the door. A magic circle appeared above it. "Mayor Gale?" He called into the circle.
"Yes?" A voice called out.
A bald headed man with a gray mustache, wearing a blue tuxedo, sat at his desk. Team Natsu, plus Gajeel, were sitting at two yellow couches in front of the desk, besides a coffee table.
"How curious." The man said, looking over the quest paper. "I don't remember placing this quest, but this is my signature of approval."
"Well that's strange." Gray commented.
"Is it possible it was forged?" Lucy asked.
The mayor shook his head. "I don't believe so. Even if forged it would have to go through me since I'm the one who sends out these quests when outside help is needed, which, mind you, is rare. We may not have a guild but we do have some talented mages who keep the peace. The wall is there only to keep out Wild beasts."
"Then how did we get this quest?" Erza wondered.
"I haven't the foggiest."
"Mayor Gale?" The guard from earlier called to him. "When was the last time you sent out a quest?"
"Last week. We needed some help with out of town deliveries since most of our staff got sick due to fighting that large toad."
"Is it possible that someone who took the quest to post it also posted this one?"
"They'd have to get my signature, and I don't recall signing any extra quest flyers."
"This is strange." Touka remarked. "Does that mean the signature is forged?"
"Maybe...hmmm." Mayor gale pondered. "What bothers me is who was requested. Who's this holder of Acnologia's soul?"
Happy raised his hand. "That would be me."
"Any idea as to who would request you?"
"None. I don't even know how they knew about that since I just got back yesterday."
"Well," he leaned back, "I don't know what's going on but it seems like you were sent here for no reason." Mayor Gale pondered for a bit. "I'd hate to send you home with nothing to show for it...ah! How bout this? We've recently had a report that a hoard of wyverns were coming out of their territory, expanding their nests, and coming closer to the village. If you can take care of them, you'll be handsomely rewarded."
The team looked amongst themselves.
"Well it would be better than nothing." Natsu stated.
"You just wanna get on the train." Gajeel stated.
"Sh-shut up!"
"But maybe we can do that and ask about this quest later?" Gajeel suggested. "Either way we can leave with something."
"Sounds good." Gray agreed.
"I'm ok with that." Wendy said.
"I wanna find out more about this and why I was asked for, so yea, let's do it!" Happy complied.
The others agreed too and Erza told the mayor that they'd take his request.
The mayor told them where they expected the wyverns to be when they next wish to expand their territory. The team set up camp in that area, made a fire, and waited.
"So they've been doing this periodically, like on some clock? That's weird." Gajeel said
"When will they arrive next?" Natsu asked.
"They should be here within an hour." Erza stated. "So until then," she looked towards Happy, "Happy?"
"Yea?" Happy responded.
"Why not sing us something?"
"Huh!?"
"Oh yes! I'd love to hear a song while waiting!" Touka said excitedly.
"I'm curious on how the furballs pipes work." Gajeel said, piqued.
"Yea, let's hear something Happy!" Natsu asked.
Happy blushed. "Fine!" He leaned back and closed his eyes.
"From the beginning I thought that we were just simply good friends.
Starting to like you, who now has a boyfriend, is something not possible, am I right?
I, too, have somebody that's on my mind, and I have told you this many times as well.
But around these days, we no longer talk with one another.
The sound of the summer rain that began to fall,
and the sound of stepping on fallen leaves,
it was you who were listening to them right next to me.
You and he, me and she, we can't all fit under one umbrella, but even so…
Everyone started closing their eyes, getting enveloped by Happy's melody.
I love you, more than anyone out there. And I know that you love me deeply as well.
I know that much based from how you see me all the time, that's right.
In my mind I hope that you, and he, and me, and she,
All four of us will be able to laugh with each other even more, my mind.
Every time we meet, there's an ache inside me, and I know the reason why that is happening.
If you tell me that we can no longer meet, that's a promise that I will never ever keep.
The things I could never speak to anybody, why is it that I can tell you pretty much everything?
When I'm in front of you I just feel like I am completely free.
The scatter of the cherry blossom petals, and the piled snow that indicates it's winter,
it was you who were seeing the whole thing right next to me.
You and he, me and she, we can't all sit in two chairs, but even so...
I love you, more than anyone out there. And I know that you love me deeply as well.
I know that much because of the fact you're always right next to me.
In my mind I pray that you, and he, and me, and she,
All four of us will be even happier than ever before, my mind.
It was probably the timing of our meet that was off just by the smallest little bit.
Even so we were still able to meet with each other, and now's the time that I have to be fully honest with myself.
The sound of the summer rain that began to fall, and the sound of stepping on fallen leaves,
it was you who were listening to them right next to me.
You and he, me and she, we can't all fit under one umbrella, but even so…
I love you, more than anyone out there. And I know that you love me deeply as well.
I know that much based from how you see me all the time, that's right.
In my mind I hope that you, and he, and me, and she,
All four of us will be able to laugh with each other even more, my mind...
You're on my mind.
Happy finished and looked forward.
"Wow." Lucy said stunned.
"I know, he's amazing!" Wendy commented.
"Furball ain't so bad at it!" Gajeel stated.
"Why didn't you tell me you could sing?" Natsu asked.
"You never asked." Happy answered.
Carla laid her head on his shoulder. "What's the name of that song?"
"You, me, he, and she."
Touka laid her head on his free shoulder. "It was nice, but I was hoping for the extended version of the song you sang this morning."
"Oh me too!" Wendy asked.
"What song?" Lucy asked.
"It was one he sang for us this morning. It was called evidence right?" Touka asked.
Happy shyly nodded. "Yeah."
"I'm interested." Gray said.
"Yeah, sing that for us." Natsu asked with a smile.
"Alright alright." Happy submitted, on more. He closed his eyes.
"I've been searching for the evidence of my existence in this place.
Finally I've realized that it's been inside my right pocket all along.
Today's sky looks especially blue since it's completely cleared up,
as though it's made the entire world translucent.
Both for me, who believe it cannot be found and am giving up,
and for you, who comfort me by saying that it can be found,
the meaning of life does not change or vary.
If this melody, on the brink of dissipating,
could weave out just one unwavering timbre/memory,
then it will no longer matter if everything I've come to believe in
should turn out to be false.
Even if evidence of my non-existence in this place were thrust before me,
it has always been inside my right pocket.
Today's town looks especially dark and sluggish,
as though it's painted the entire world over with its color.
Both for me, who apologized, ran off, and hurt you,
and for you, who thanked me, smiled, and accepted me,
the meaning of life does not change or vary.
In this world on the brink of crumbling,
if I could seek out just one sure answer,
then even I, having gone through so much in the past,
will surely be able to begin forgiving others with smiles.
Words cannot fully convey what I want to express.
The evidence of our existence in this very place,
within this world that has started to fall apart,
just how much singing voice can it deliver?
If this melody, on the brink of dissipating,
could weave out just one unwavering timbre/memory,
then it will no longer matter if everything I've come to believe in
should turn out to be false."
Carla sighed. "Lovely."
"Beautiful, Happy-sama." Touka commented.
"Thanks." Happy said with red cheeks.
"Well I'm impressed!" Gajeel said.
"So am I." Erza stated. "I think we have time for one more."
Happy sighed. "At this point I should charge you al- hm?" He donned a serious look. "Someones coming!"
"Huh?" Lucy said, confused.
Happy got up. "I set up a magical trip wire with my magic and someone set it off."
"Wyverns are here already?" Gray asked
"No...the footsteps were too light."
Natsu closed his eyes and listened closely. "I hear about….nine of them? And they're coming quick!"
Everyone got up and got into a battle stance.
From the trees jumped a band of wizards, landing in front of the team. They all wore black hoods, blue shirts, white heavy duty gloves, gray pants with pockets lined down the legs, and sashes on their chests. One had three round silver emblems and one star emblem on their sash while the rest just had a silver star. They all word black scaly masks. The one that had the four emblems had blue a diamond shaped lacrama with a smooth round lens on its front and back edge.
"Who are you?" Erza demanded, wielding one of her swords.
The one holding the lacrama looked through its lens. "Hmmm," he said before pointing to Happy, "comrades, he is the holder!"
"Huh!?" Happy was surprised by his accurate announcement. "Howd he know!?" He questioned.
"Take the others away, take them down if possible!" The man said.
"Duck!" Happy yelled, grabbing Touka and Carla, and bringing them down.
A silver spiral darted above them and went straight for Gajeel. He blocked but was pushed far away.
"Gajeel!" Wendy cried out. She gasped when she saw a fist stretch out towards her and Erza. She dodged and Erza swiped the fist away only for the arm to wrap around Wendy and fling her upward.
Erza was about to cut at the arm before the ground below her broke and a pressured shot of mud striked her. She managed to block but was sent up in the air besides Wendy. The two assailants got between the two, one shooting Erza away with a whip of mud, the other enlarging its hand and punting Wendy the other way.
A wizard jumped above Natsu and Lucy and flung silver spears at them. They both jumped out of the way. A black golem hand suddenly appeared behind Natsu and grabbed him.
"Natsu!" Lucy called out. She was about to run to him until a Mage landed infront of her and thrusted a orb of water at her, the orb exploded and the water force sent her flying back.
"Lucy!" Natsu called out to her. The wizard that threw the spears created a silver greatsword and swung it at Natsu. Natsu lit up his arms and freed himself from the hands grip. He flipped over the swing of the greatsword and kicked at the Mage. His kick fell short as another hand grabbed his scarf and flung him away.
Gray was dodging the shots of one mage who was using two pistols, one black the other red, the red one shooting three shots per second while the other shot one a second. The black one had stronger shots. "Ice make," He brang his hands together, "wall!" He formed a large brick ice wall, which stopped all the shots. The mage snapped his fingers and black spots glew around Gray before exploding. Gray was quickly able to make a small spherical ice barrier around himself. "Phew." He heard his ice wall break and the Mage lept in, aimed his black gun at Gray, and fired, rolling the frost Mage away.
The mages all dashed to where the team was launched, leaving the leader with Happy, Carla, and Touka. He looked at them, took a stance and spoke. "Allow me to test your power."
A twisting wind sigil came up on Happys forehead, Touka gathered a swirl of water around each hand, and Carla crouched. "Guess I'll get to see the fruits of your training." Happy remarked with a smirk.
"Let's do this!" Touka said while Carla nodded.
Happy dashed to the lead mage, gathering winds wound his arms and swinging with his left arm, releasing a torrent of wind against him.
The Mage placed a clear blue barrier infront of him to shield damage, but was still pushed upwards. Touka and Carla met him in the air. Touka flung her arms at him, whipping to strands of water at him, while Carla gathered pink energy in her foot and kicked him.
The man rose his arms up and guarded, being sent crashing down but still landing on his feet. He dashed forward and dodged a flipping kick from Carla and water scratch from Touka. The two exceeds plunged towards him.
A solid blue silhouette emerged from the man, looking exactly like him, and punched at both of them.
They managed to dodge in time and looked at the silhouette mage. The real mage dashed towards Happy and encased his arm in a solid blue bubble, before swinging it down on Happy.
Happy blasted the wind gathered in his other arm to push him back. "Carla, Touka," he called out to them, "I'll take care of him, you focus on that thing he made!"
The girls nodded before focusing onto the silhouette.
Happy looked towards the real Mage before bringing his hands together. "Multi element! Fire!" The sigil on his head gained a red color and flames gathered between his palms, surrounded by a wind vortex. "Burning vortex!" He yelled, tossing it at the mage.
"Triple layer!" The Mage shouted, waving his hand three times in front of him, causing three blue barriers to stack in front of him. Contact was made and two of his shields broke apart while the last barely stood.
Before the mage could counter attack, Happy aimed his left palm at the Mage. Fire spiraled at his palms while the wind sharpened it into a spear head. "Enhanced burning spear!" He shouted and shot the spear of fire.
The man gasped as the spear launched at him fast. He didn't have time to make a new set of shielding as the spear already broke through his last barrier. He jumped out the way but got nailed in the shoulder. He rolled, ignored the pain, and stood back up, conjuring a blue saw blade, about to throw it at Happy till he lost sight of him. He saw the cats shadow and looked up.
Wind was shooting out of Happys shoulders as fire raged in his foot. He spiraled into a fast downward kick and nailed the Mage in the head, nearly knocking him down. Happy gathered a small tornado in one hand and flames in his other hand, about to strike the mage.
Before his hit could connect, the Mage swung his lacrimal infront of Happy. A white blast of magic shot at the tomcat, sending him back, but hardly doing any damage. "You are strong, but I am not surprised. You did receive Acnologia's blessing after all." He placed the lacrima on his chest. The magic item opened up and grabbed onto him, sinking into him a bit. "Hooooo!" He cried out, magic power surging through him.
"Moon tempest!" Carla yelled as she spun and triple kicked the silhouette in its leg, chest, and face, shockwaves from the pink energy enveloping her foot crashing against it.
"Twin tail!" Touka spiraled two of her water tendrils at its side, pushing it away.
The two exceeds stood side by side and then felt a surge of magic from where Happy was. They looked back and saw that the man was the source of the magic surge.
"Happy!" Carla called out in concern.
Touka placed a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be fine." She said and smiled. "Look." She pointed at Happy.
Happy was smiling confidently and preparing to fight. Seeing that washed away Carla's worries. "I guess you're right." She smiled. Just then a vision came to Carla.
In the vision she saw a vague image of Wendy, panting with her cheeks flushed red and her hair pink like when she uses dragon force. Next she saw a hand on a furry chest, rubbing it slowly. She then heard whines and groans that sounded like it came from Wendy.
The vision ended and Carla stood there stunned. "Wendy?" She said out loud.
"Carla?" Touka called out to her companion.
Carla looked to Touka. "Can you handle this alone, I need to check on Wendy!" She asked Touka.
Touka figured she had a vision and nodded.
"Thank you!" Carla kissed Touka's cheek, making her blush, before flying off.
Meanwhile, the man had started to attack Happy with a barrage of white orbs coated in blue magic, throwing them at him rapidly.
Happy had his guard up and took all the blows. The sigil on his forehead changed to one of fire, he lit up his foot and kicked a wave of fire at him.
The Mage made a single barrier and blocked it. He formed a big white fist around his and crafted blue claws on it. He lunged at Happy and swung at him.
"Multi element! Ice!" The sigil gained a light blue color. Happy created a wall of ice beside him to block the swing, and thrusted a fist of fire at the man's chest.
The Mage recoiled but stood his ground, punching at Happy with a spiral of blue and white.
Happy created an ice pillar under his foot and hopped over it. He then got behind him, swung both hands up to create slanted ice walls, enclosing the Mage, and thrusted an explosive flaming palm at him.
The explosion knocked the Mage back a few yards before he regained his balance. He looked forward and saw Happy create and surround himself in a tunnel of ice. He looked like he was prepping an attack. The Mage took the opportunity and gathered large amounts of magic into his arm. He created a giant fist of white magic energy and coated the knuckles in a hard blue casing. He made an explosion at his fist to launch himself towards Happy, quickly closing the distance, and punched his large fist right at him. When contact was made, what he punched shattered, revealing itself to be just another all of ice. He saw Happy, a mile away from him, smirking at him. He saw several panels of ice with his reflection on it and realised he fell for a mirror trick.
"Multi element! Earth!" The fire sigil on his head changed from the colored light blue to brown. Happy formed a tunnel with his hands and the ground around the Mage broke apart and rose, changing shape as cracks of fire formed on it. Surrounding the Mage were three pairs of fiery earth arms, all aimed at him. "Arms of Asura: rage mode!" Happy yelled and swung his hands together.
The earth arms reached back and struck at the Mage, bombarding him in a flurry of flaming blows.
"How could I be so foolish!?" One of the two mages facing Natsu said. The black golem hands he was controlling laid beside the salamander, broken and burned.
"It...is alright…. my ally." The other mage told him, kneeling, panting and beaten up. "You simply thought there was an opening."
Natsu stood infront of them, victoriously smiling. "Heh! That all you got!" He taunted.
"Damnit!" The Mage that faced Gajeel looked at the two blades he held in his hands. They were bitten up and alot smaller.
"Thanks for the snack!" Gajeel told him with a grin.
"Regulas Lucy Kick!" Lucy in her Loki star dress dealt the final blow to her enemy, knocking him to the ground. She stood above him, victorious.
"So much mud." Erza complained, wiping her blades above the Mage she defeated.
The Mage with the twin guns was frozen in place and shivering. "C-c-can't b-be-beleive I l-lost to this p-p-p-pervert!"

Happy gasped. "Multi element!" The fire sigil turned green. "Air!" He raised his hand up and created a fierce dome of fire around him and Touka. Touka squealed in surprise.
There was a flash of light from the mage and Happy braced for impact. A few seconds passed and nothing happened. When he felt no impact, he looked puzzled and dropped the dome. Where the Mage once stood was empty space. "Crap. Was it a trick?"

"I think that's the best course of action." Erza agreed.

"I see." The one at the window said. "How were the others?"
