Sitting across from a police detective, Arashi feels rather… bored. Honestly, after all of that he just wants to go home and rest, which for him means work on new gear designs. However, he has to go through the followup work with the police. He understands, he really does, but does it have to be so boring?
The officer continues, "And you are aware that you will have to be punished in some capacity, yes? Due to the circumstances, the punishment will be significantly lessened, but there still have to be consequences for your actions."
Arashi nods, he had expected this, "What's the punishment?"
The detective grunts, "After having talked it over with Power Loader, we've decided that you're banned from the workshop until after the Sports Festival."
Arashi grimaces. It's not going to be fun, but then again, most punishment isn't meant to be. He only hopes Hatsume won't do anything stupid when she hears. After asking a few more basic questions, the detective lets him go.
As soon as he sets foot outside of the room, he's tackled by Mei. Looking her over from his position between her and the floor, he's glad to see she's unharmed.
She looks him in the eye, "Mochi! We need to make something that kills monsters! I heard that even after your light show the thing was still alive, so we need a way to put them down!"
Arashi gives a tired smile, "I'm glad you're in good enough condition to be thinking such things but," he frowns, "I can't."
She sits up, essentially straddling his waist (not that either of them notice), a confused look on her face, "Why not? Is your brain too tired for ideas?"
Arashi sighs, "No, it's not that. It's my punishment for using the Gungnir Cannon past the limiter with lethal intent. I can't go into the Support Workshop until after the Sports Festival."
Mei gasps, offended, "WHAT?!"
She shoots to her feet, pulling him up with her, "We need to go complain to Power Loader now!"
Arashi lets out a tired sigh, "No, Hatsume. This is what I deserve for breaking the law. Complaining won't change it anyway, Power Loader helped decide on the punishment."
She furrows her eyebrows, "But-"
"But nothing. I purposely broke the law, I deserve this."
Mei pouts, "Fine, I guess I'll have to manage without my partner."
Arashi gives a small smile, "Don't worry, when I get back the first thing we'll do is build a Gundam."
Mei's eyes light up, "Alright! You better keep that promise!"
She runs off to the Workshop, most likely to draft the plans for the Gundam, "I'll see you later! And text me! I need someone to bounce ideas off of!"
Arashi nods, his smile broadening, "I'll see you later."
