Author's Note: To those of you who are just finding this, welcome. I promise I will have an actual chapter here soon. To those who have already read chapter two, and are wondering where in blazes it's gone, I'm sorry. I wrote this second chapter in just about twelve hours, because I'm a moron and new enough to this that I thought that would be good enough. Now, after two days of bashing my head against a wall trying to write a third chapter, I've come to the conclusion that I need to re-write the second chapter to be... well, better for one thing, but also more easily able to flow smoothly into a continuing story. In short, I've decided to, more or less, completely re-write this chapter. I'll have a proper second chapter by Wednesday of this week, but I nevertheless apologize for the incompetent manner in which I'm conducting this.
