The Chateau
Kiara stared at the ceiling after all the boys had gone to bed, her mind was wide awake and she really didn't want to be alone. Kiara decided she needed to make herself tired, so she winded up cleaning the house; even the bathroom, which made her then take a shower due to feeling disgusting. "Why can't guys aim?" she muttered to herself getting out of the shower
"Because we half a brain" JJ responded.
"Oh god. JJ." Kiara said tightening the hold on her towel "Can you give me a second and I will be out"
"Oh yeah. Just go change in my room" JJ said stepping out of the door frame
Kiara nodded and walked past him to his room "Don't you dare mess it up in there, you can eat off that floor right now"
JJ laughed and shut the door behind him "Aye Aye Captain."
Kiara changed quickly and then opened up JJ's door, so he knew it was safe to come back in. Kiara didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay with him again but she didn't want JJ to think more into it then it was. She was hurting and she needed to feel close to something so she knew she was still breathing.
"Hey Kie. That is like the cleanest that bathroom has ever been, even like when John B's mom was living here, it was never that nice. Thank you"
"I couldn't sleep and I couldn't go out to the hammock without waking up Pope and I know you two sleep like the dead, so I could make noise without disturbing anyone." Kiara said as she looked at the floor and fidgeted with her hands.
"Are you still too awake?"
"I think I am actually tired. But I" Kiara started and then stopped herself. Kiara reminded herself that she was strong enough to go back on the pull out "So good night JJ."
"Okay." JJ said confused as it seemed like she was the opposite of tired "Well I was gonna say if you were still energized, I can stay up with you. Play cards or something"
"Umm. Did you plan to stay awake?" Kiara asked as she turned around back into the room
"Yeah" JJ lied "Are you actually tired Kie?"
"No" She laughed "I am actually exhausted I just can't turn my brain off."
"Sit down" JJ patted the bed next to him "I have an idea"
"This terrifies me" Kiara admitted as she sat down on the bed
JJ brought out his guitar "I am gonna sing you a lullaby."
"Absolutely not" Kiara said laughing hysterically "No"
JJ laughed "Well then. I have no other talents."
"Hey. You just being here is enough" She smiled
"Kie?" JJ asked "Do you not want to be alone?"
"I am fine being alone" Kiara lied
"Just like I was planning on staying awake?" JJ smiled back
Kiara smiled but with sad eyes "Yeah. Just like that"
"You can stay with me tonight, if it helps to have someone nearby"
Kiara didn't say anything, she just leaned over and turned off the light next to the bed and laid down on the bed fully. "I promise I won't try to jump your bones tonight"
"I am not sure you can be trusted" JJ laughed in response and Kiara turned on her side facing away from him with a smile on her face.
