A/N: Hello everyone! This is my first Injustice AU story. I hope that it's fine for everyone to read it. Feel free to give out ideas, and maybe they'll be added to the plot.

"Billy Batson was a true hero, and a true friend..." The wizard explained, starting the story. "He was someone that everyone can trust...But that kind of trust somewhat disappeared since the day he joined the Regime. However, even he started to think about his life choices. He knew that everyone, including the Regime, especially Superman, should have limits. He was loyal to the side he thought was doing the right thing, but started having doubts about the Regime, even when he mention of Superman killing Green Arrow to his best friend, Barry Allen, also known as the Flash. Despite this, he was still a young hero. He would help the Insurgency members at times when Superman isn't looking, shows kindness to innocent people, and he still cared for others, even Harley Quinn, who started having a crush on him." The wizard chuckled on that part until he had a sad look on his face. "However... That would lead to his death at the hands of his former idol..." He finished the story with a sad tone. However, he kept himself up. "But What if... Shazam survived Superman's attack?"

The Snowy Graveyard

Solomon Grundy, the huge zombie and former villain, was carrying the body of the deceased Shazam, also known as the teenage hero, Billy Batson. The zombie kept on walking sadly towards the graveyard. Once he finally got there, he opened the gates and went to the tree.

"Grundy dig hole. Grundy bury." The zombie said sadly, placing the dead body on the ground. He then started to dig the hole.

Things went from bad to worse in this day... After Superman, the High Councilor of the Regime, killed Lex Luthor, his once trusted/second former best friend, for his betrayal, he decided to destroy both Gotham City and Metropolis to set an 'example' for the people who called him a murderer. He'll also set out to find the dimension the duplicates came from, wanting them to pay for interfering his plans. However, when Billy started protesting and how Lois Lane wouldn't want it, the tyrant killed him in cold blood next.

The big zombie still was crying, but finished digging up the hole. He got out of the it and looked at the dead body. More tears came out of his eyes... Despite him being a former villain, even he felt bad for what happened to Billy. Even Cyborg and Raven were shocked of what Superman did.

"Grudy pick up Billy. Grudy bury Billy." The big zombie sadly said, carefully placing the dead body of Shazam in the hole. He then started filling the hole up with snow. After crying a few minutes, he wiped the tears off his face and placed a gravestone on the buried hole. He then craved the words "Billy Batson, Shazam" on the stone. He then started walking away from the buried hole, until he looked up at the sky, seeing dark clouds at the sky.

"Grudy confuse."

The sky then started thundering. Before the big zombie regime member could get out of the snowy graveyard, he saw lightning coming from the sky, hitting the ground!

The zombie was terrified of this right now. He then saw a big lightning stroked the grave he just dug. Solomon closed his eyes, due to the light being so bright. However, after adjusting his eyes a bit, he saw the body of Shazam glowing and floating. He was even more shocked when the dead body said only one word...

"SHAZAM!"

The zombie got flown away a few meters, but grabbed the ground so he wouldn't fly up towards the sky again, including closing his eyes once again. Once he opened them again, he couldn't believe what he was seeing... It was revived Shazam!"

"It's good to be alive again." The young hero said to himself.

Shazam/Billy Batson has returned! I've always think about what would happen if Shazam survived Superman's attack. He was my favorite character in the Injustice universe and I didn't like his death.

Sorry if this chapter was too short. It is a Prologue.

For those reading, you guys will find out how Billy was revived like that in the next chapter.
