The next morning, Piper and Alex awoke at the same time. Alex walks into the kitchen and puts on a pot of coffee, then sits down to check her cell phone for notifications. Meanwhile, Piper climbs into the shower, she has her meeting with a buyer in an hour and a half. Usually, Alex would jump in with her, but there wasn't any time this morning for fun stuff, which made Alex a little sad, but she understood.
Thirty minutes go by, and Piper finally emerges from the shower. She makes herself look presentable, then walks out to the kitchen where Alex has coffee waiting for her. "You look so hot baby, wow, I wish I could take you right here, right now," Alex exclaims. Piper blushes and says "when I get back from this meeting I'm all yours." "I'll hold you to that," Alex replies sternly. The two of them sit and enjoy their morning coffee and check their phones until Piper has to leave.
Alex helped Piper pack the car with boxes of soap, they kissed goodbye and Piper drove away. Before Alex returned to the apartment, she hailed a cab, she had something she wanted to check out before Piper returned.
Later that evening while sitting down to dinner, Alex asked Piper how her meeting went. Piper responded indifferently like she was upset about it. "What did they say to you, babe?" Alex asked with concern. "They are going to take a couple of days to think it over," Piper answered. "Don't feel defeated, they didn't answer yet babe," Alex responded softly. "Besides, I can make you feel much better," Alex added, she could see a small smile on Piper's face. "Let's finish up and go for a small walk, there is something I need to do," Alex concluded. Piper was puzzled by this statement, "okay", Piper replied quizzically.
They head to the park near their apartment, Piper is questioning Alex as to what she needs to do, but Alex keeps telling her it's a surprise. After ten minutes, Alex grabs Piper's hand and gets down on one knee, "oh my god!" Piper said with shock. "We have been through hell and survived and I wouldn't have made it without you, my partner in crime, literally, and now figuratively. I love you so much Piper Chapman, will you be my partner for the rest of our lives?" Alex proposed to Piper. Still in shock, now with tears streaming down her face, Piper yells "yes, so much yes!" Alex stood up and Piper pulled her in for a long, passionate kiss. "Let's go home, I can't do what I want here," Piper said seductively.
