Chapter 46
Marcel stood before the abandoned St. Anne's church, his face carefully blank, showing no outward sign of the temper roaring within him. The Petrova had managed to get him to agree to this meeting, allowing Davina the choice to go through with the Harvest all on her own. Admittedly Marcel, while not pleased with the terms, was intrigued by the young human who presented them, sitting beside the most powerful vampires the world has ever known.
Then there was Katherine Pierce, a woman renowned in the supernatural world for her ruthlessness and ability to stay just under the Mikaelsons' radar but still not permanently enough to keep them from hunting her down whenever they knew her location. No, Klaus Mikaelson was actually fond of their cat-mouse games and Katherine was perfectly happy not to have his full attention.
For a woman like her willing to do even the smallest of things for a human, now that was something worth looking into. Add in the humans deep connections to the Mikaelsons, Marcel was not dumb enough to ignore her offer. He earned his title of King of New Orleans, rebuilding the city destroyed by the Mikaelsons and their family drama.
Yet the city was not home to just vampires, it held witches and werewolves as well. Now whispers were emerging about the Mikaelsons working with the enemy factions to ensure his downfall. He heard that the human was spelled to a witch, Sophie, the sister of a witch that had recently broken one of his laws. Then if one considered how wild Davina's powers had started to become, it became clear that Marcel had to play ball if he wished to glimpse into the new playing field.
The Mikaelsons had been able to make far too many moves without him knowing about it. That had to stop now. The October air rolled over him like a summer breeze, Marcel waited impatiently for his visitors to arrive. Within moments he heard the sounds of a car pulling up into the abandoned church's parking lot.
A pair of heels could be heard along with what could be a pair of boots, Marcel turned towards the area the footsteps were coming from. Seconds later Katherine Pierce in her black skinny jeans, leather jacket and ridiculous high heels could be seen escorting black boots with a low wide heel, jeans and white sweater wearing blonde. The two couldn't look any more opposite if they tried.
He could hear multiple heartbeats coming off the blonde, Marcel blinked slowly allowing his face to mold into a mask of indifference. Every time he met the young Caroline, it shocked him that the Mikaelsons held a pregnant woman in their confidence, let alone one impregnated by the Hybrid himself.
And they left her alone.
"Ladies." Marcel greeted with a small bow as he bent his hips one arm outward for exaggeration.
"Klaus really was not exaggerating about you. I thought after the meeting that perhaps you had grown up but first impressions can be misleading." Caroline's voice held an amused tone, as if the blonde wanted to hold her emotions in.
"I'm simply honored he mentions me at all." Marcel smirks over at Katherine. "Lovely as ever, Katherine."
Katherine tossed her hair giving Marcel an eye roll, "There better be no witchy funny business. We have a powerful witch of our own and she is rather fond of the blonde."
"But not you?" Marcel couldn't resist saying, as Katherine pouted.
"The witch has yet to fully forgive me for lying about my whereabouts for years. Causing the death of her sweet grams." Katherine looked over at Caroline. "What no defending my honor?"
"I liked Bonnie's grams. She has every right to dislike you for your lie. She knows that they didn't really have to open the tomb and that Damon could have made different choices as well. Bonnie hates Damon more to be honest." Caroline shrugged.
"I'm going to have to save your sorry ass to get that witch to stop threatening me if harm comes to you, aren't I?" Katherine said exasperated.
"To be fair you did kill me first," Caroline turned towards Marcel,"Now, can we meet Davina before Katherine here throws a tantrum?"
"I am a woman. I do not throw tantrums." Katherine rebutted, placing her arms on her hips.
The only reaction the brunette received was a slight tilt of her lips. "Did you or did you not stab Stefan at Tyler's home during a party because he picked Elena over you."
"He insulted me! It didn't kill him either."
Ignoring Katherine, Marcel stepped back to allow the two females a view of the abandoned church. "Davina lives up in the attic. She will be expecting us."
Katherine allowed Caroline to follow Marcel first, taking up the rear. The five-hundred-year-old vampire kept her ears to the ground scanning the room. Marcel took them through the main room towards one of many hallways of the church taking the steps two at a time, occasionally glancing back to ensure the females were following.
"Davina!" Marcel called out, stopping at the door and knocking on it. Caroline and Katherine stood behind him.
"Marcel?" Came a soft feminine voice, as the door creaked open to reveal a petite long dark-haired teenager.
Immediately Caroline leaned over to the side allowing her head to peak out from Marcel's side. "Hello Davina. My name is Caroline and this is Katherine Pierce. Can we come in?"
The brunette smiled looking over towards Marcel as if asking for permission. Katherine tucked her bottom lip under her top teeth to keep from speaking out loud. Caroline subtly pinched the vampire, sticking her tongue out at the seductress when she glared back.
"Davina, Caroline and Katherine are new friends of mine," Marcel said gently. "They said that they had a friend who could help you."
"Bonnie would have come today but it seems like she made a breakthrough on a magical project she is working on." Caroline carefully crafted her words, not wanting to say too much near Marcel. If Bonnie wanted Davina to join in on operation Make-Caroline-A-Vampire-Again then the witch would say so.
"You're witches?" Davina asked skeptically, glancing over at the brunette. "She's a vampire."
Katherine let out a bark of laughter, "Of course I am a vampire. I did come from a witch bloodline before I was turned and Bonnie comes from a strong line of witches based in nature rather than ancestor magic. The Bennett line."

He didn't want to be here, no matter how much fun playing the bad guy was. No, Klaus would much rather be back in New Orleans. The city his family built working alongside the fiery Caroline to take back his city from his former protégé before his children could be born. Instead, he was in Atlanta watching as Enzo opened up the door to the latest of the Salvatore's residences, following them into the living where the Salvatore brother's coddle around the doppelganger as she glances over at the newest known doppelganger. Caroline had been right, Stefan was a doppelganger himself.
"Look what we have here." Klaus called out alongside his siblings, Rebekah squawking at the sight of two Stefans much to his own irritation. "Seems like you've had a busy few days."
"Just what we needed more doppelganger drama," Kol complained, "Let me guess Silas doppelganger is our own dear Stefan and...?" Kol looked over at the singular male human amongst them.
"Tom Avery." The doppelganger mumbled, staring at them all with distrust in his eyes. Kol was amused at the way Tom looked over at Elena looking simultaneously enthralled and wary.
"Okay Tommy," Kol nodded towards Tom before turning to his ancestor, "Alright Stefan, Enzo you two are the ones relatively worth trusting, what the hell happened here?"
"Not so fast, Kol." Elijah paused his wildest brother. "Perhaps Elena and Tom need more time to process what has happened. I am sorry it took us so long to get here. Even we have our limits."
"They just found us." Tom whispered towards Elena.
Rebekah smirked over her newest doppelganger. "Darling a few hundred miles really is nothing."
"Especially when we have a private plane." Finn snorted, earning a cackle from Kol.
"Rebekah! Finn made a joke!" Kol chirped happily. "Did Sage teach you that?" Finn leaned over from his spot behind Kol to slap him in the head, the younger brother looking over his shoulder with a scowl.
"Forgive my siblings,"Elijah butted in, his brown eyes narrowing at his youngest siblings before returning his attention towards the Salvatore's and their merry band of growing doppelgangers. "Let's start with telling us what happened exactly."
Elena straightened her back giving Tom an encouraging smile, hoping that he would see it was safe to step in. Elijah might be a Mikaelson but he was the most calm of the bunch. Honorable and always kept his word, Elena learned that she just needed to be very careful in her wording.
"Tom and I were out on a date," Elena was interrupted by a large snort and a snicker. Internally rolling her eyes knowing exactly who was mocking her, ignored them and continued on. "We were walking to the car when we were stopped by Hazel Parker, a witch from the Gemini coven."
Damon snorted from his spot beside Elena while Stefan, sitting on Elena's other side, gave him a disapproving look. Tom was sitting on the armchair where Rebekah was leaning against as Tom tried to subtly move farther from her. "Never heard of them." Damon's tone was dismissive as if a coven who had one of their own kidnap the supposed love of his life was not worth the worry.
"Just like you never bothered to know who I was?" Klaus smirked over at the dark-haired vampire. His fingers pressed into his palms in effort not to throttle the vampire where he stood. Perhaps Damon needed a reminder of just who he was. His smirk deepened at the way Damon flinched at his voice.
"Oh whatever," Rebekah pouted as Stefan's look-a-like scooted further away. "Elena, what did this Hazel say?"
"They wanted to stop the Traveler's." Tom spoke up upon seeing the undecisive look on Elena's face. Tom let out an inaudible sigh as Rebekah stood up returning to her siblings. He felt every nerve telling him to stay away, perhaps take Elena with him. She was just as human as he was, yet the way she was relaxed sitting next to two strangers who were most likely ancestors of his told him that as much as Elena protested, she was deeply mixed into the supernatural. The question was would she always be?
"And collecting doppelgangers does this how?" Elijah questioned, glancing at the way Elena bit her lip. Finn internally groaned seeing how the female doppelganger was barely cooperating. Judging by the way Klaus's foot began to tap and Rebekah kept glancing at her manicure it wouldn't be long before one of them snapped.
"According to Hazel, they need the blood from the last doppelgangers in existence." Tom spoke softly, earning a soft smile from Elena. He couldn't help but smile back, the supernatural stuff was rather hard to digest but Elena somehow managed to keep him calm. Even if he was wary of her future, Tom couldn't help but want her near.
Kol snorted, "Well that's all and good but in order for that to happen at least four people would need to meet their maker. Including the original Silas and his long lost lover Amara, who I have a suspicion is actually still kicking."
"What do you mean, Kol?" Finn asked, speaking for the first time. Tom had to shake his head, the man had stayed so still for most of the time it was not hard to imagine him as supernatural. His siblings all kept movement in their limbs even Elijah with the subtle movements of his hands tucked into his arms.
"The lovely Miss Bennett allowed me a peek at her family grimoire. We know the Bennett line is descendent from our mother's witch friend. I was willing to bet they also descend from Qetsiyah, the witch who made the immortality spell in the first place. Turns out I was right even after her death those that remained of her family kept the spell. It was how Mother managed to tweak it to fit her needs." Kol explained.
"How do you know Amara has to still be alive?" Rebekah questioned glancing warily over at Klaus.
"A lot of communicating with the ancestors who really hate me," Kol grimaced. "Yet they were still willing to pass on the information to Bonnie. Family lore states that the doppelganger curse was nature's way of ensuring balance. Both Silas and Amara took the immortality spell neither of them could die, this was nature's way to bring balance. As long as the immortal version of themselves exists the doppelganger will too."
"I thought the traveler's worshiped Silas?" Elijah questioned turning towards Kol, as the only member to have spent any time with the group in the past.
"They do. I doubt that has changed but their objective obviously has instead of raising him up, they want to use the power of the last doppelgangers." Kol murmured, looking thoughtful. "What else was said?"
"That's when he killed her." Elena said, pointing to Enzo with a glare. "You didn't have to kill her."
"Excuse me for helping your love toys rescue your sorry ass." Enzo rolled his eyes.

Davina's room in the attic of the desolate church was larger than Caroline had envisioned. The young woman she remembered visiting Hope, alongside the resurrected Kol Mikaelson, was fiercely protective of the youngest Mikaelson. The teenaged version of her seemed so pale in comparison. The brunette was just as beautiful as ever but she held so little confidence. Honestly, Caroline could see just how Kol would fall for such a beauty with raw magical talent. Not just anyone could tame the amount of magic in her body for the length of time Davina had.
Even Bonnie struggled with the extra strength of expression. Caroline had doubted that her friend would even believe her, the fact that the witch actually listened to her was shocking enough. Having the witch in New Orleans willing to help her, siding with her rather than going after and keeping Elena safe from Klaus, meant more to the blonde than Caroline would dare to admit.
"What do you want?" Davina asked, crossing her arms as Marcel went to stand by her side. Ever the protector. Too bad his protection is going to potentially cost Davina and her ritual mates permanent death. Caroline can only hope that none of the Mikaelsons actually buried their mother in concentrated ground.
The fingers tapping against her thighs came to a halt as she realized she wasn't quite sure if any of the siblings had ignored her warnings out of the happy memories they had of their mother when they were human. Katherine tilted her head noticing the sudden shift around Caroline.
"Carebear?" Katherine prodded softly. "What's the matter?" The other two occupants of the room immediately straightened their backs preparing for an attack.
"I just thought of something we need to check when we get home," Caroline reassured. "My apologies, there's just a lot going on right now. Davina, the reason we're here is because we wanted to know if you would be interested in learning magic from a friend of ours?"
The brunette looked startled, her gaze drifting from her guardian towards the two strangers before settling back onto Caroline. "Someone wants to teach me? After what I did?"
"You didn't do anything, kid." Katherine shook her head. "The ones who were supposed to love you, guard you…. Lied. They lied to you by not preparing you for what they were asking of you. You had every right to be afraid and distrust them." Caroline offered a small smile towards the vampire whose hands turned into fists. Caroline could only imagine the similarities that Katherine saw.
"Marcel?" Davina looked towards her savior looking for approval.
The two were betrayed by members of their families. Katherine was shunned and forbidden to keep her child, forced away from the only home that she knew, while Davina was tricked before having to run from her so-called family. There was a lot to be said about magic users, especially magical families as a whole. Majority of them seemed to honor the power that they have been given more than their own blood. Sometimes, Caroline could see the danger a singular member could pose, like with Kai Parker. Others like Bonnie's ancestors punished her for use of expression, were lines that Caroline could potentially see why such acts were taken but thought ultimately was far too cruel.
According to the Mikaelsons, it was a powerful witch possessing a living witch's body that siphons the ritual's power away. The only reason Caroline is even aware of this is because Davina shared her story with her during one of the family day visits. To fix the entire mess the Mikaelsons agreed to allow their mother to become a part of the ancestors Esther then used that power to resurrect herself along with Finn and Kol.
Luckily for her, both brothers were still among the land of the living. Davina has to finish the ritual or else she will die. Caroline would never ask another to give their life to prevent some superpowered witch from grabbing the power of the harvest. Especially when she knows the Mikaelsons had it handled previously.
They would be able to handle it again.
"I'd listen to them Davina," Marcel grumbled reluctantly, "you said so yourself that your powers are growing at a rate even you can't control."
Caroline internally rolled her eyes at the way Katherine smirked as the young witch pouted at her guardian.
"You're not with the French Quarter Coven?" Davina asked guardedly, crossing her arms as if that would truly protect her. Yet the way she stood tall beside Marcel told the blonde just how safe the brunette felt.
"We do have a working arrangement with them."Caroline winced at the way Davina's eyes narrowed in on her.
"Davina, no one is supposed to have the amount of power you do. You have the power of three other witches inside of you. Bonnie once told me when she was overwhelmed with magic not directly her own that it felt like suffocating from the inside out. As if there was a fire inside of you that you could barely be contain. Does any of that sound familiar?"
"They want to kill me." Davina said weakly.
"The ritual is real, Davina. '' Katherine butted in, telling the blonde with her eyes to let her speak. "Without the ritual your magic is going to burn you from the inside out. Now I've already died once, I can guarantee you that it's not fun. At least with this ritual you would come back with your magic intact unlike if you have vampire blood in your system."
"I can guarantee that as a witch you wouldn't want to lose your magic,"Caroline added softly, "It's the one thing Kol misses most about being human."
"Kol?" Davina raised her brow at her not that Caroline could blame her male witches were rare at most. And the majority of ones she had met were clearly psychopaths.
"Kol Mikaelson. The wildest original, who is also a huge pain in the ass. I think you two would get along well." Katherine purred suggestively cackling at the way Davina blushed.

Elena waited for as long as she could knowing that her vampire houseguests did not need sleep. They would never truly allow her privacy, in fact she was sure one of them was sitting outside of her door. As long as the brunette didn't leave the house, Elena assumed she was free to move around. It was still her house. It irritated her that she was forced to invite the Mikaelsons in but now that they knew some weird witch group was after her it would be difficult to get rid of them. It pained her how none of them once mentioned Caroline in front of her.
Opening her door, Elena sighed seeing Enzo leaning against the wall facing her bedroom. The handsome vampire looked up from his phone. "Hello love, which lover boy were you prepared to visit? I do hope it is Stefan. I would love to see Rebekah's face when you open the door."
The confirmation that the original sister still had eyes for Stefan despite everything that's happened since she awakened didn't surprise Elena. The fact that Stefan would allow her into his room made her stomach twist. Enzo chuckled, "Not surprised are you? But you hate the idea that Stefan could be with her when you are right there."
"She's tried to kill me before." Elena grunted. "What he had with her is in the past. Besides, I don't have the right to be upset… I left him."
"Ah for his older brother no less," Enzo hummed. "Yet, you're not really with Damon either."
Elena shoots him a look causing Enzo to grin, "While we were getting reacquainted, Damon couldn't shut up that you two were so close to being together and being happy. Why haven't you dived in? Stefan accepted your feelings for his brother even if he hates it. Which based on the ever present frown on his face he isn't quite so selfless as he wants you to believe."
"It isn't any of your business!" Elena snapped.
Enzo shrugged, "Still you stand here with me when you were clearly going to attempt a sneak-away. Who is it going to be?"
"Tom," Elena said softly, crossing her arms, "He's had a lot of information given to him lately."
"Sweet Elena will be enough to make him forget that he is a clone of a powerful witch, a vampire and his brother who is distantly related to him?" Enzo snorted. "Caroline was right. It is a bloody miracle you lot are still alive."
"Don't talk about her like that!" Elena whispered harshly. "You have no idea what my friends and I have been through."
"Sweetheart, do you have any idea what your friends have been through because of you? Because they wished to save you?" He countered rolling his eyes. "You don't like me talking about Caroline but that's exactly what she said. You all were lucky to be alive. Hell, she didn't survive a year with the Salvatore's in town."
"That was Katherine's doing." Elena snapped. "I tried getting her away from the supernatural but she was so jealous and –"
"Caroline was attacked because she was close to you. Bonnie lost her grandmother because you practically begged her to help Damon with his project." Enzo shook his head.
"I didn't ask for any of that to happen. We didn't know that the spell would kill Grams.'' Elena shook her head in denial. "It's not fair how they keep putting themselves into danger to save me. Now Caroline's somehow gotten this gift where she just knows things! She told me to bite her to become human again but now I'm not even allowed near her."
"You didn't have to bite her." Enzo pointed out.
"I didn't want to! She said it was safe but I was still shunned from my own hometown. My best friends left me."
'You chose to take the cure and you chose to leave. You fear the Mikaelsons so much but yet, you still do things knowing it would anger them if it helped you get what you wanted."
"I never wanted to be a vampire and when Caroline said it would be safe to take it from her… I couldn't think…. I just hated how it made me feel."
"And still you ran away with vampires?"
"Damon made sense at the time. I knew Caroline would be okay, she said so! But Klaus can be unpredictable in his rage. I was human now, he could have killed me before Caroline woke up!"
"And now you have found a second doppelganger and have a group of witches after you. Do you really think Klaus is going to let you out of his sights? His personality isn't exactly made for allowing others to get the drop on him."
"We have no idea what the Travelers want," Elena reminded him, "Hazel could only speculate, even the Gemini coven could not fully grasp their plans."
Enzo pretended not to notice how fidgety the young woman was during their exchange. It was clear therapy had done Elena some good but she was far from wise. The way she talked about it was as if she had no real way to change outcomes. Either someone else decided for her or she was overwhelmed and couldn't be held responsible. To an extent this was true for everyone, one cannot control others actions.
But Elena could control her own. She was far more content allowing others to make the plans for her. Even if she didn't understand that yet. So Enzo nodded at her, "Well I shouldn't keep you waiting, it's not as if you could escape the house. Say hello to the new loverboy for me."
He waited a bit before following after her knowing that as a human she had no hope of sensing him. Enzo listened as Elena's footsteps stopped at Tom Avery's door. The brunette knocked on the door softly aware that any vampire awake could hear. To her relief Tom's face full of sleep opened up the door.
"Elena?"
"Tom, let me in, we have to hurry." Elena whispered as the man opened the door allowing her access to the room. He watched as the brunette paced the room. Tom kept quiet as the woman continued to paced his temporary quarters.
"What's going on?" He asked her wiping sleep from his eyes.
"The Traveler's are going to come after us, no matter what we do." Elena said, smiling as Tom nodded his understanding.
"Isn't that why those people are here? From the sounds of it the Traveler's, whatever they truly want, are bad news."
"Not necessarily," Elena shook her head, "Hazel wanted to keep us from them. They were scared, assuming that the Traveler's would destroy magic. But Bonnie says magic is sentient. I'm sure magic would still exist just in a different form. How do we know that's a bad thing?"
"How do we know they don't mean for us to die to complete their goal?" Tom asked.
"If we don't do anything, we'll be kept prisoner or killed to avoid us being used in the first place." Elena countered, pausing in her pacing to stare Tom in the face. "The Mikaelsons will do anything to stay on top of the supernatural world. Caroline might be in love with Klaus but that doesn't change who he is. We have no idea what the Traveler's plans would do to the vampires or the witches. They could simply be a part of the change and have no harm done."
"Or all your vampire friends die." Tom murmured. "Your friend could lose her magic?"
"She receives her gift from nature. I'm unsure of what the spell would do. Let alone if that's their real goal to begin with. I want to find them and find out."
"That's dangerous!" Tom exclaimed.
"They need us. We will be safe." Elena promised. "It would allow us to find out their real goal and give us bargaining power. If Esther could change a spell to suit her needs then the Traveler's could change their spell to ensure a few people's safety in exchange for whatever they need from us."

"Where the hell are they?" Caroline hissed as the line on the other end went straight to voicemail. All of his siblings and Enzo's phone had done the same thing for the last two days. Angrily the blonde grabbed the "safe chemicals" I.E all the cleaning supplies that Bonnie and Liz could find that were natural and safer for a pregnant woman to be around. After they caught her trying to deep clean the kitchen a few days into the Mikaelsons' vanishing act.
She was carrying his bloody children!
Caroline's blue eyes narrowed at the already spotless foyer, grabbing the needed bucket full of supplies. Going to her knees, blue eyes gleamed in happiness as she zeroed in on a few missed spots. As the blonde started attacking the floor, Liz walked into the room to find her daughter on her knees scrubbing furiously muttering things under her breath.
The sheriff sighed, "Katherine!"
The only hint that anything changed at all was the soft swish sound quickly followed by a familiar voice saying, "What is she doing now?"
Caroline looked up from her spot on the floor, "I'm stress cleaning!" It was then that the trio turned their heads to see a familiar redhead coming through the front door. The ancient vampire took one look at the scene and shook her head.
"Who failed to hide the cleaning supplies?" Sage questioned tapping Katherine on the shoulder and pointed to the blonde. The brunette scowled but followed the redhead as they each grabbed an arm forcing the blonde up.
"Hey!" Caroline cried indignantly. "I was cleaning!"
Feeling the age-old signs of a headache that always came from one of Caroline's more dramatic episodes, Liz smiled gently at her daughter "Caroline, it's not good to be on your knees for so long. You are starting to show and eventually stress cleaning will mean you can't get off the ground."
Caroline huffed, glancing over at the two vampires who had yet to unleash her. "I'll worry about that when I am the size of a whale!"
Not believing the human, Sage tightened her grip slightly earning a glare from the blonde. "While I find it hard to believe anyone could love Klaus, clearly you are worried about him but doing this will only potentially harm your children."
"I'm cleaning! And they have been gone for a week with no contact for two days. Do you honestly expect me to believe you are not harassing Finn through voicemail?"
Katherine laughed slowly lessening her grip on the blonde once she was sure the blonde would sooner yell at them than get back onto the floor. "You do remember that they're all but indestructible right? Highly doubtful that anyone other than each other can tear them apart."
"You say that like they weren't at each other's throats mere months ago." Caroline grumbled crossing her arms as Sage also loosened her grip. The least Klaus could do was inform her that he would be unavailable! She'd be less likely to have to resort to stress cleaning.
"The Mikaelson siblings are rather fond of fighting aren't they?" Caroline was sure that Katherine's smile should not look quite so joyous at the thought of sibling infighting.
"They are on a trip together. We know that they are with the Salvatore's. If anything, Stefan will ensure they remain mostly put together." Liz comforted her daughter, pulling her into a one-armed hug. That was when Caroline noticed what her mother was wearing, her comfortable jeans with sneakers and a summer appropriate top and a light jacket.
A few years out of style but when your mother is the sheriff, shopping for non-work clothes tends to fly out the window. Caroline's eyes widened, hands flying to her mouth, "Mom! It's your first appointment today!"
Liz laughed, "Just remembered?"
"I'm so sorry!" Caroline babbled, her mind automatically switching things around on her to do list. "How much time do we have to get there? When is it?"
"It's at 3. The office is in the middle of the city, perfectly safe, and you and I will be taking her later. As long as you agree to stop stress cleaning because the Mikaelsons are flakey on the phone." Bonnie's voice came from up the stairs, growing stronger as the witch walked down the staircase.
"I really don't need special treatment." Liz shook her head. "You girls should be spending the day doing something fun. Soon you'll have your own babies to take up your time." The last part clearly meant for Caroline who blushed.
"I want to be there for you! Besides, you will probably forget to tell me vital information!" Caroline smiled in triumph, grateful that she had arguments already prepared ahead of time.
"Someone needs to be there to keep Caroline from harassing the doctors." Bonnie shrugged, with a smile wrapping her arms around Caroline.
