Fawcett City

The Regime Soldiers were marching into the streets of Fawcett City. They loaded their guns, getting ready to shoot and kill.

"Remember, leave no one alive!" One of the soldiers said.

"Sir, yes sir!" The others said, carrying out their order.

A few hours later, citizens were either taken out of their houses, captured or killed during the rampage. That was when the soldiers were getting another family out of their house, and they were protesting.

"Hey, let us go, you jerks!" Darla said, trying to hit them.

"Darla, stop! They'll kill us if you keep doing that!" Mary advised, not wanting her sister and the rest of her family hurt or killed.

"B-But, Mary-"

"Darla, listen to your sister," Rosa said, "I don't want you, Mary, Freddy, Eugene, and Pedro getting hurt."

"Listen to your mother, everyone," Victor said, "As long as we cooperated, we won't die"

"For how long?!" Freedy whispered angrily, "These guys killed our brother, your son!"

"That's why we don't want to lose any of you next."

The Regime soldiers were taking them into the center of the city where the statues of the SHAZAM family were.

"Heh, nice statues… Too bad they'll be painted in your blood." One of the Regime soldiers sneered at them.

The Regime soldiers loaded their guns and aimed at them, intending to kill them right in front of everyone in the city.

"This is what happens when someone betrays the High Leader of the One-Earth Regime!" The captain said, ordering his men to fire, "Men! Ready! Take aim… FIRE!"

The soldiers then pulled their triggers and the bullets came out of their guns and went straight towards them. However, all of them disappeared when a red blur zoomed in and grabbed them.

"What the?!" The captain was shocked to see the least, "No… I-It can't be!"

The red blur appeared, dropping the bullets onto the floor and glaring at the regime soldiers. "Stay away from my family and my city!"

"BILLY!" The whole family couldn't believe that he was alive, and neither did the citizens of Fawcett City.

"Told ya I was right" Harley (who was also captured by the soldiers) said with a smirk, making the kids and the parents smile and giggle, expect for Mary, who only glared at her.

At the Fortress of Solitude…

"Doomsday's not today" Prime Superman said to the defeated Regime former-mind-controlled Doomsday.

The monster tried to attack him again, but the heroic Kryptonian dodged the attack, grabbed him and threw the Kryptonian monster into the Phantom Zone. After all of that, he looked up and saw his Regime counterpart.

"I knew they would pull you over eventually." His hand, once pointing an accusing finger at Superman Prime, now clenched into a fist. "You don't belong here."

Superman Prime placed his hands on his waist, Yul Brynner-style as the High Councilor lowered himself to the ground. "That may be true, but my obligations don't end at my dimension."

"They do here," Superman shot back. "I'm this world's savior. I will protect it!"

Superman Prime couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Is that what's happening in your world? Protection? Is that what you call what you and the Regime are doing out there? Trying to wipe out Gotham and Metropolis? That's Protection?!"

"You're a father yourself. Everyone knows that when a child disobeys, they are punished accordingly."

"Children?" Superman Prime repeated. "Listen to yourself. We're not gods. We don't get to decide who lives and who dies..."

Superman cut his good side off. "THE DECISION IS MINE! IT BECAME MINE WHEN JOKER TURNED ME INTO A WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!"

Superman Prime looked at his counterpart with pity. "I know what you've lost. Bruce told me. Your Bruce, not mine."

Superman's eyes glowed red. "And he still fights against me! And you?! You dare judge me?! I brought peace and order to this planet! How many more innocent people die before you and everyone else accept that some lives need to be taken?!"

"Were Shazam, Lex Luthor and Green Arrow innocents?" Superman Prime shot back, "Were they criminals?!"

Superman Regime calmed down. "No. They were casualties of war. They stood against me, and they paid the ultimate price." He stepped forward. "I know about Lois. Once I've killed you and subjugated your dimension, I'll bring her here. When she sees how I perfected this world, she-"

Superman Prime rebuked. "She'll be afraid and disgusted."

Regime Superman exploded. "SHE'LL BE ALIVE!"

"Lois' death doesn't justify-!"

"He stole everything from me!"

"And you've stolen this planet's freedom!" Superman Prime cracked his knuckles. "And now, it's time to give it back!"

Back at Fawcett City…

Shazam was fighting multiple Regime members all by himself, catching their guns, bullets, attacks, etc. The citizens and Billy's foster/adopted family started cheering, happy to see their hero alive.

"W-What is this guy?!" One of the soldiers asked in shock.

"Don't worry, he's only a kid in a man's body!" The next soldier said.

"Um, I'm 17 years old, thank you very much!" Shazam reminded them.

He continued to fight the Regime soldiers to protect his family and his city.

"H-How is he still going?!"

"If we don't take him down, Superman will kill us all!"

He defeated most of them. That was when he heard one of them scream at him. He turned around and the captain of the Regime Soldier Squad held Harley Quinn hostage at gunpoint while the rest of them aimed their guns at his family.

"Okay, kid, here's what this is about to happen," The captain started to say while holding Harley Quinn at gunpoint, "Right now, I got your psycho girlfriend and your little family. Why you ask, well, because we're about to play a little game. Let's see who you care about the most… The woman who helped that psychopath destroy Metropolis… Or, the family that adopted you while you were at your lowest…"

Everyone couldn't believe what they just heard. Was Shazam really going to make that choice?

"I made my answer… None of the above!" Shazam declares as he does a massive shockwave, blasting every soldier (luckily, they were still alive) and knocking them out.

"That… was… AWESOME!" Freddy Freeman exclaimed, running up to him and hugged his brother.

"Billy, we missed you."

"I miss you guys, too-MM!" Shazam was about to say before getting interrupted once Harley ran up to him and kissed him on the lips.

Everyone was shocked when they saw that.

"Umm, Billy, are you and Miss Harley here…You know" Mary asked, not trusting the woman who came to help.

"I-It's complicated," Shazam admits, "I'm so glad that you guys are okay."

The Shazam family then gave each other a hug.

"Awwww" Harley started with a smile.

That was when Billy Batson/Shazam went to her attention, "Harley, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be guarding the Joker from the other universe back at Gotham?"

"I was… Until the whole fight was happening, so, I told my boys to guard him while I was out, so I came here to help out, or at least try before I got captured by those Regime clowns…"

"Heh, you're one to talk" He chuckles before remembering something, "Shoot! Superman needs me!" His family and Harley got confused when he said that so he corrected himself, "Not our Superman, the other Superman from the other universe. I got to help him!"

"I'll come with ya, Shazzy!"

"Heh, okay, fine"

Shazam picked her up (bride style) and took to the skies while saying goodbye to his family and the citizens of Fawcett City.

Back at the Fortress of Solitude...

Superman Prime didn't expect this much. While worn out from his fights with Black Adam, Sinestro, Yellow Lantern, Aquaman and Doomsday in rapid succession, he still had enough in the tank to fight on his doppelganger's level.

"You're pathetic!" Regime Superman said as his Heat Vision knocked Prime Superman back. "Weak!"

"At least I'm not a child-killing, people-slaving tyrant who destroys cities and kills innocent people!" Superman Prime retorted, fists flying.

"THERE ARE NO INNOCENTS! NOT ANYMORE!" Regime Superman fought back, knocking his good counterpart all over the fortress. "EVERYONE HAS BETRAYED ME! BRUCE! THE JUSTICE LEAGUE! THE TEEN TITANS! LUTHOR! BILLY! BARRY! I MADE THIS WORLD SAFE! I SAVED THIS WORLD!"

This is what Prime Superman was counting on. Provoking his counterpart to lose all traces of sanity. That made him predictable, prone to making mistakes. Mistakes that would ultimately bite him in the ass. Tanking the insane Kryptonian's punches hurt like crap, though. But Prime Superman powered through the assault.

Prime Superman caught the High Councilor's fist, stopping Superman mid-rant. "No. You've become the one thing you hated…. And now, I'll save it from you."

That was when Regime Superman punched his face, grabbed his neck and threw him into the wall. He then zoomed towards him and grabbed his neck again, "You think you can beat me?! Beat me with compassion? Love? Kindness? Mercy?!" He screamed at him before picking him up, "I know your secret, you were holding back." He declares before turning around while holding his good counterpart by the neck and punches him into the air.

He then flew into the air and prepared to attack once again.

"You always hold back…"

WHAM!

"We both used too…"

WHAM!

"But now I don't," He then grabbed him by the throat again, "NOT ANYMORE!" He then punched him straight into space. He then flew up and punched him straight back down into the Fortress.

Prime Superman tried to get up, but he couldn't. He then saw his Regime counterpart floating above him and landing right next to him.

"This ends… NOW!" Regime Superman declares as his eyes start going pure red, ready to kill his so-called good counterpart with his heat vision.

Then, all of a sudden Superman gets hit by a lightning bolt, sending him into the wall and saving the good Superman from his cruel fate. He then slowly got up and looked around to see who attacked him. That was when he landed up… And he couldn't believe who it was.

Sup everyone! Sorry that I haven't talked in the last chapters. Trying to finish with the rest of the stories and all. I just a new job in the real world and I've gotten a bit better, I'm not sick anymore. Anyway, we're so close to the finale, everyone!
