Tifa leaned forward on the counter, nursing her drink, and looked at Cloud with a half smirk. "Yeah, Sephiroth is a real pain in the ass. I think he and Cloud met in that Coliseum world and Cloud gave him his first good fight. Sephiroth has been trying to get a rematch ever since, but he and Cloud keep spontaneously teleporting into other worlds whenever they manage to find each other."

They gave me permission to use this idea here for my bird boys, so I went back over past interactions to make sure it'd work, and surprisingly does. Nice! (No changes were made).

Xemnas stands before the Mansions' gates at Twilight Town. Once again feeling like somethings' missing.

A missed opportunity.

Even Axel went missing. No matter.

What does matter is that this is strike two of a series of 'missed opportunities' and things that should have happened.

Looking up towards a moving curtain, he sees a figure in a brown coat. Beckoning him.

One portal later, he investigates.

Sora sits on a roof eating lunch near the workshop to watch the construction taking place across town. The triplets and Gullwings are around him also on break. The triplets started timing their lunch breaks with Sora after they became friends. The Gullwings joined soon after.

Both trio's were roughhousing and bantering behind him with Yuna perched on his shoulder. He smiled.

Then he looks up at the massive castle that towers over everything.

He missed Riku and Kairi.

They've been together so long, it's bizarre being without them for so long.

But, according to Genie, Riku and Kairi have no idea he exists as an alternate Sora.

That castle, it feels like so much has or will happen here.

He closed his eyes and took a breath to steady himself. Shaking, he focused on the here and now. No point in dwelling on what ifs, for that what he actually is!

A what-if.

No hero stuff. Here he is, having the opportunity to travel to other worlds! To go on fun adventures! To finally see what's out there!

A black feather slowly drifted towards him.

Turning to face the skies, he sees the two men from before, landing on the roof beside them.

Two the groups' credit, their appearance barely phases them.

Sora takes that cue to remain calm.

"Hey there! Sorry about the others earlier. But, my name's Sora. Who are you?"

In Land of Departure, both Princess and Villain stood in two lines as Aqua performed the ceremony to give them Keyblades.

Standing before Kairi first, Sora stands proudly beside Aqua to learn how to do this.

Holding the hilt of the blade (All knowing Kairi can already wield it, but playing along for the principle of it. To have it actually be passed on instead of an accident).

"In your hand, take this Key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend—no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love." (Quote from Terra to Riku in Birth by Sleep).

Scrooge McDuck laughed to himself as he set the controls to his own Gummi-ship he had already commissioned Cid to make before the worlds' were restored.

All those business opportunities!

Time to head to Hollow Bastion to regroup and plan his new business ventures.

With that he Disembarked.

As Aqua handled the Princesses, Sora handled the villains.

Arms crossed, he stares them down.

Eventually, he reaches out his own blade and goes to one end of the line.

He stops before Maleficent.

A series of silent conversations between them, Sora spins the blade and holds the hilt towards the witch.

A smirk, and she grips the handle smugly.

"So, wait! Let me get this straight." Rikku huffs as she tries to summarize what the two winged men just explained.

"You both are from separate worlds" She pointed to the men "and eventually met at a coliseum world a while back."

They nodded.

"You-" She points to Sephiroth "were the best fighter and grew bored without someone to match you. So when he-" Points to Cloud "showed up, you were excited to have actually found someone to best you."

The silverette grinned.

"So you then just wanted a rematch but every time you meet up to fight, you both spontaneously teleport away to separate worlds." She crossed her arms. Then, points to Merlins' house. "They don't like you because they think you are both stalking or trying to kill Cloud. That about sum it up?"

A shrug. "More or less." Sephiroth sat down.

Cloud huffed, but didn't comment.

"Maybe…" Sora starts, causing everyone to look at him. "Maybe it's because you both are so powerful it's the words' way of kicking you out before you cause too much damage?"

They stare at him. As if that never occurred to them.

The winged duo looked at each other.

"Huh." Cloud stated dumbly.

The Princesses breathed a sigh of relief. They all received their own Keyblade. As one, they looked behind them to the Villains.

Sora had a while to think about these villains and others he's encountered.

Maleficent was a given due to their every interaction.

The others?

Hades is the Lord of the Dead. That was a full time job on Olympus. But he still had potential once he got over that thing with Zeus. Shrugging, he held out the blade to him.

Oogie was a flat no. For one he was easy to take down and had a one track mind. Sora walked right past him. (The bag of Bugs grew pissed after the shock).

When he tried to retaliate, Sora simply held the blade to his chest. Oogie gulped and went back in line, pointed hands shaking into a fist.

Surprisingly, he did hold it out to each Trick or Treater, shocking Oogie and the others. (Belle grinned at them with a nod).

Sora walked on.

Captain Hook was a yes. Both for already having the ability to travel to other worlds, the seamless way he worked with Ariel and Alice, and overall zaniness. He'd definitely shake things up. Sora held out his blade to the Captain. (The Pirates cheered.)

Coming up to Jafar (Sora caught Jasmine giving an encouraging thumbs up to the Vizier and quirked a brow at the mage). On that encouraging note Sora considered him. Going over past interactions and Jasmine's vote of confidence, Sora shrugged. If nothing else, it'll keep the others on their toes. He held out the blade to the elder.

And lastly was Ursula. The sea witch changed the most. Who knew having students was what caused the most positive changes? Grinning, he held out the blade to the shocked witch. (Ariel definitely cheered at that!) Smiling, Ursula gripped the blade.

As everyone congratulated each other, Sora walked back over to Oogie.

Crossing his arms, he waited for the gambler to look up.

"The reason why I didn't was due to my past experiences with you. Why should I give it to you now? Here's your chance to plead your case."

When the lunch break ended, Sora looked to the sky.

Change is coming. Good and bad, he's excited.

He told them he's going to Disembark for the first time tomorrow after Cid teaches him how to fly. Since all but the triplets can teleport, Sora just asked them to pop in once he's airborne.

Hewie, Dewie and Louie had to stay because of their shops, but had an agreement with the Moogles to put their items with their off-world shops to help Sora in their own way. All Sora has to do is drop a glowing gem in a calm area and the shop will set itself up.

Sora hugged them and promised constant updates via Moogle shops.

It took a lot of convincing but... Oogie did plead his case. Very reluctantly, Sora gave him a chance. Besides, the Keyblades were semi-sentient. If they didn't approve, they would be in their possession for long, anyway.

Then Aqua gave a rundown on Keyblade Wielders responsibilities: Sealing Keyholes, stopping Dark creatures (they gave the smirking villains wary glances) , keeping the balance, and keeping the World Borders intact.

(Sora just shot Aqua a look at that, exasperated, Aqua facepalmed and was tempted , oh so tempted, to give the time traveler the finger.) Ven just looked excited at having other wielders around to do things with and talk to. He's only ever had Aqua, Terra and Master Eraqus.

New friends!

Luxu and Axel looked amused at the happy blonde.

Then, Aqua showed them how to make their armor to travel between worlds and Sora gave a rundown on Gumi ships.

After everyone set out, Aqua groaned and muttered: "I need a drink."

Cid spent the whole morning with Sora in the cockpit of the finished ship teaching the pipsqueak how to fly.

The ship sat in the open courtyard because everyone wanted to see the launch and crowded on the edges.

Not gonna lie, he felt like a proud teacher right now.

With an improv desk a safe distance away, he monitored the systems as Sora did the startup procedures for the ships' maiden voyage.

Cid observed the kid slowly raise the ship in the air in the courtyard, do a little spin and shoot away into the skies.

No, Yuffie, I'm not crying!

Check it out! The reason Moogles were able to set up shop off world is because of Kid Sora!
