The Amalgam

Mount Justice; October 28th; 1:02PM

"Illuminatus!" Ben exclaimed as he held his hands out in front of him expecting something to happen but finding no result, "Illuminatus!" The same expectation along with the same result; insanity.

"You've been doing that for twenty minutes, try something easier already," Veronica propped her chin up on her hands as she leaned against the wall of the cave; Ben was in the center of the holo-ring trying to produce mana but, finding himself completely incapable. It had only been a few days since Ben had gone full Anodite for the first time as to stop the world ending catastrophe but, he only recently begun his training again, with Veronica as his mana specialist.

"A small orb of mana used to illuminate the room is the simplest spell in my cousin's book! She mastered it when she was eleven," Ben sighed and put his hands up once again, "Illuminatus, damn it!"

"You aren't a full Anodite," Veronica began as she stood up straight and walked passed him, "Meaning you can't just use your full Anodite form without consequences," she folded her arms and continued, "You have to wait for your body to acclimate before you can use your mana again."

"Mana is life energy and I'm alive so, itshouldn't be this hard," Ben sighed and sat back on his hands.

"That's not how it works, you know that."

Ben groaned and gave her a coy grin, "And how's that spell to keep Vilgax out of this dimension coming along?"

"I have mana and you dont," she lifted a hand which was enveloped by violet energy, "I'll turn you into a frog and squash you."

He shrugged with a chuckle, "Whatever," Ben got to his feet and walked off the holo-ring, "I have a date at two so, i'll catch up with you later..."

"Have fun," she announced as she looked back at the empty holo-ring; she was sent to this Universe for one purpose, to warn Ben of Vilgax but, by the time she got here, he already knew. She was stuck here with no purpose and hadn't contributed at all to the situation, none of the spells she tried could work for someone on her level so, what good was she. And truth be told, she had no idea what was going on with Ben's mana but, she knew he needed it to face Vilgax; maybe there was something down that avenue she could help with, restoring his mana shouldn't be too hard for her to accomplish.

LexCorp Tower; Metropolis; October 28th; 1:15PM

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention?" Lex Luthor called out to his associates in a rather dark room with a long table and many chairs lines up along its rim; Queen Bee, Ra's Al Ghul, the Brain, Albedo, Vandal Savage, and Black Manta sat waiting for Luthor's reveal.

"Please make it quick? I have more important things to do that are much less incriminating," Queen Bee asked from the back of the desk.

"Spite her rudeness; I think that would be the question on everyone's mind," Vandal Savage added as he folded his hands on the desk, if there was one thing he'd learned over the last ten-thousand years, it was manners.

"I've called you here to show you, Project: Amalgum," Lex stepped aside and revealed a holographic projection of Ben Tennyson and his Ultimatrix, "spite Albedo's refusal to allow us near his Omnitrix; the project proceeded as planned," The screen switched to a ladybug-like device with mechanical wings and a camera-unit, "Tiny micro-bots of my design were dispatched from Cadmus Headquarters to follow Ben Tennyson's every move, not only do we know his current location and headquarters but, we also know what his current mission set-up looks like," he sighed, "Unfortunately, all of my prototype nano-bugs were destroyed when Negative Way-Big fired his cosmic-blast at Ben Tennyson."

Albedo chuckled, "Oops?" He confidently put his feet up on the table, "If you had allowed me to design them, i can assure they wouldn't have been destroyed."

"If you had shown even the slightest bit of restraint, the outcome would have been beneficial for all of us," Luthor responded as Albedo simply scoffed.

Queen Bee sighed, "Get on with it, please?"

The projection changed to a DNA sequence of ten different aliens from Ben's Universe, "I've extracted DNA samples from almost every creature that Ben has transformed into."

All of their expressions changed from dull to widened eyes with the flip of a switch, "Excellent!" Black Manta declared as he banged his fists on the table, "We can reverse engineer these creatures and create an army to-"

"As appreciated as you enthusiasm is, there were complications..."

Mount Justice; October 28th; 1:13PM

Ben approached his room in Mount Justice casually, entering the bathroom and looking himself in the mirror; he sighed and grabbed a new black-tee with a green strike and replaced the one he was wearing drenched in sweat. He sprayed some cologne on and grabbed a comb, trying to get his hair to the least-frizziest level possible.

He checked himself out in the mirror trying to find any imperfections but, found none that he could see; what he did see was the green '10' jacket hanging on a hook near the shower, he had almost forgotten he owned it. He turned around and grabbed it, almost putt it on out of habit but, instead he just stared at it; there were plenty of good memories tied to it but, perhaps it was about time to put that time of his life behind him. He looked back into his reflection and noticed how much he'd changed, he was taller, he'd grown muscle and his shoulders had broadened, he even had some stubble showing in the form of a goatee. He almost looked like on of his future-selves but, he had a long way to go before he could change his name to 'Ben 10,000.'

He glanced back down to his jacket and gave a long sigh, the time in his life where this jacket was the only thing he'd wear is over, that place is gone and sadly, it reminded him too much of home to have around. He opened the bottom drawer in the bathroom and plopped the folded jacket in, closing it with a smile, he actually felt like he could move on now.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, his teeth sparkled in his reflection as he made his way out of the bathroom and into the hall, "Hey, Ben!"

Veronica walked up to him intercepting him in the space between his room and the teleporters, "Yea?"

"When did you first discover you could use mana?" Veronica had her nose in between the pages of a spell-book, peering at him from beyond the cover.

"Uh..." He raised a brow and thought for a moment, "About a year ago when Kent Nelson, Dr. Fate, showed me how to use it, why?"

She smiled and closed the book, "Just trying to see if i can get your mana to arrise any quicker is all," she walked away without a word as he shrugged and walked towards the teleporters again.

"Recognize, Ben 10, B01."

"What complications?" Ra's Al Ghul questioned as his tone became dangerously calm.

Lex smiled slightly calmly, "The DNA of these creatures can't be spliced so easily, the plan was to take as many samples as we can and then combine them into one powerful-being however; the To'kustar had skin far too dense to even take a sample. This is only the tip of the iceberg as further study proved that these DNA samples weren't at all compatible with each other," Lex turned to the room filled with villains, "We would need a conduit, someone who can absorb the energy naturally into his or her body and contain it themselves; it can't be done artificially with a clone like the Superboy."

Ra's al Ghul spoke up once again, "So, what you're telling us is that you failed and miscalculated?"

"With all due respect, Ra's, I don't miscalculate and I certainly don't fail."

"Superman would beg to differ," Ra's stated casually as if it wasn't a huge offence; Ra's was calm until he felt a metal barrel pointed to the back of his head.

"Mercy," Lex stated as the female android snarled before lowering her weaponized arm to her side, retracting it mechanically into an ordinary hand.

"I would advise you to keep you're bitch on her leash," Ra's stated as he stood to his feet.

Lex raised a brow and Mercy lost it; she turned around and fired a single shot that would have vaporized most people, Ra's Al Ghul is not most people. With a single motion, Ra's ducked under the blast, grabbed Mercy's rifle arm before twisting it and sliding behind her, he effortlessly pulled her arm up behind her back causing the android to grunt.

Several of Luther's armed guards ran into the room and pointed their guns at Ra's who didn't even notice them; Queen Bee's men entered and pointed their weapons at Luther's men while Lex himself simply closed his eyes and sighed. Vandal slammed his fists on the stainless steel table which left a huge dent before he stood coming to eye level with everyone, "I've lived a rather long life," Vandal started, "I've seen groups of powerful monarchs come and go; I have more experience than any other person on the planet and must stress that we cannot complete our goals if infighting is our only focus!" When Vandal Savage even raised his voice slightly it was threatening to anyone, even ancient assassins.

Ra's sighed and released his grip on Mercy's arm, "Vandal is correct; if this is to work, than we must work as a team or the Justice League will simply pick us apart."

All the weapons in the room lowered slowly one after the other; they all exited the room with a nod from Luthor and Queen Bee, leaving the master-minds to their own devices. Ra's sat in his seat and cleared his throat, "I apologize for my rudeness; please continue."

Lex smiled and closed his eyes briefly, "Thank You, Ra's, we simply need someone with the ability to absorb energy into his body; someone who can absorb large portions of power at once. Then if we control this person, we have our weapon, and of course Cadmus has given us many mind-control options with their research."

Black Manta spoke up having laughing behind his helmet the entire time, "Does such a person even exist?"

Vandal smiled and tightened his folded hands, "As a matter of fact…"

LexCorp was a busy place, people walked through the lobby of the main building constantly; the hustle and bustle of city folk getting from point A to point B was exhausting to even watch, it was also the perfect cover.

A man walked through the main revolving door of Lex Corp towers, he was dressed in a brown overcoat and a brown fedora, the rest of his body was covered by some sort of purple-suit hiding any and all features.

He walked to the front desk and rang the bell and was immediately greeted by a smiling secretary who was way too happy for the type of job she had, "Good Afternoon, how may I help you sir?"

"Joshua Allen here to see Lex Luthor," The man had a raspy voice; he sounded weak and deprived of nutrition.

"I'm sorry sir, Mr. Luthor is in a very important business meeting and-" the secretary was interrupted by her front desk phone ringing, "Hold on just a moment sir," she answered the phone and immediately darted her eyes up at the man in front of her, she smiled slightly and hung the phone up without another word.

"Right this way, sir," the woman stood to her feet and walked casually over to an elevator beyond the front desk, Joshua followed her inside as she took an I.D card from her jacket pocket and swiped it in the elevator floor selection; she pressed numerous buttons which Joshua frankly didn't care about before the elevator began moving down instead of up.

As the elevator moved further and further down, the floor counter got to twenty before opening up and revealing a laboratory of sorts. Test tubes and weird machines the uses of which Joshua may never know; one machine stood out though, a large man sized pod with green vials protruding from the top.

"This is your stop, have a nice day."

Joshua peered through the room with narrow eyes; there were many ominous machines in the room. Suddenly Lex Luthor walked through the room meeting Joshua and extending a greeting hand, "Nice to see you again, Parasite," Joshua extended his hand and shook Luthor's.

"If I didn't owe you, I wouldn't be here; let's get on with it." Parasite removed the trench coat and hat to reveal a muscular build with an even darker shade of purple running through his body resembling veins.

"Of course, you see this is actually benefitting both of us; I get the results of the tests and you get more power than you could ever dream of," Lex smiled and guided him to a large pod in the center of the room, "Just step in and we can begin," Lex pressed a short combination of buttons on the machine's holographic panel causing the door to swing open automatically. Parasite shrugged and stepped in the pod allowing it to close behind him; he pressed another combination of commands on the panel and a metal clamp sealed the door shut.

"What's the window for?" Parasite jabbed his thumb behind him with a one-way mirror.

"Ah, so you could tell then? A few of my head scientists agreed to watch the procedure; don't pay it any mind," Lex smiled and began typing on a keypad juxtaposed to the pod.

"You'd better not be screwing me Luthor," Parasite exclaimed as his bod was filled with gas.

"Don't worry, you were screwed the moment you walked in the door."

Parasite began screaming in agony as a flash of electricity filtered through the pod, super charging the gases. Suddenly, Parasite's right arm became engulfed in turquoise diamond crystals, his left arm morphing into burning molten-rock. His palms opened up to reveal a small node in each hand, his two eyes warped and split into four separate ones; he grew to nine feet tall as giant moth-like wings sprouted from his back and extended feeling the same excruciating pain that surged through his entire body.

As the electricity died down so did Parasites screaming; as the smoke cleared in the pod, the creature before them held his head in pain, the pod scanned him repeatedly as he caught his breath recording any and all data resulting from his transformation.

The pod ejected a robotic claw that extended and placed a collar-like device around Parasites neck which hummed to life as a crimson light signified it was operational. Luthor slid a holographic key which opened the pod and allowed him to examine the creature himself, "Magnificent, from the small samples of DNA I've gathered I've successfully created a perfect weapon!"

The window opened slowly revealing The Light watching in awe, all except for Albedo who was simply reminiscent of Kevin's own mutation multiple times over into a similar creature.

"You have out done yourself, Luthor," Black Manta announced as Vandal simply narrowed his eyes in suspicion, "With this creature on our side; I don't see how the Justice League can beat us."

"Let's test the theory, shall we?" Savage asked motioning to Luthor.

"How so?"

"If this creature can defeat the donor of its own power than I will consider this project a success, if not, the project will go back to formula," the immortal man turned around and walked out the door followed by Queen Bee, Ra's Al Ghul, Manta, and the Brain.

Luthor growled, "I'll show them all what my scientific prowess is capable of."

Metropolis; October 28th; 1:59PM

Big Chill phased through the roof of a popular restaurant in Downtown Metropolis landing in an unoccupied handicapped stall before transforming back into himself with a green flash; he didn't have an operational watch but, he knew he wasn't late. He looked in the mirror one last time to make sure he wasn't missing anything but, all was well in his appearance; he made his way to the door and opened it analyzing the hustle and bustle of the waiters bringing food to and from tables. He took a minute but, eventually found his date, M'gaan was sitting at a table facing him from across the room when she waved to him in her 'Megan' disguise.

He approached the table and pulled out a chair, "Hey," he announced taking a seat across from her, "You look..." he took a look at her outfit which was a bright-yellow blouse coupled with a white skirt that approached her knees, "Stunning."

She blushed with the rosy-shade contrasting on a Caucasian complexion even more so than her lime-green Martian skin-tone, "Thank you, you look really nice too;" the waiter approached and poured them both glasses of water.

"Are you two ready to order? Or should I start you off with an appetizer?"

M'gaan smiled and picked up a menu, "The cheesy-bread-sticks look really good, is that cool?"

"Fine by me," he exclaimed putting the menu down for a moment.

The waiter wrote down the order quickly and gave them a nod, "They'll be right out."

M'gaan tapped her nails on the table, "So? How's you day going so far?"

Ben sighed and leaned back, "My mana still hasn't returned, ever since i transformed in Yellow Stone, i haven't been able to perform even the simplest of spells," he closed his eyes for a moment, "Veronica say's because i dont have the spark like my Cousin did that using that form just has consequences..."

M'gaan looked down at the fork and knife on her side of the table, "I'm sorry about that; i'm sure there was another way; I should have thought of something else."

"Nah," Ben waved a hand at her looking into her eyes, "You did the right thing, i wasn't even considering spells at the time; I've been so reliant on the Ultimatrix for so long that I some times forget I can use magic now."

Someone approached their table and Ben could have sword it was the waiter, however; it was a glowing-pink figure that floated towards them drawing the attention of everyone around them.

"V-Veronica?" Ben stuttered.

"Hey," she announced her presence without looking up from her spell-book, "When was the first time your cousin Gwendolyn knew she could use magic, hm?"

M'gaan blinked as Ben nearly choked on is water, "What are you doing here?"

"Trying to get your mana back," she pulled out a vile of green-liquid and tossed it at him, "Here, drink this and answer the question..."

He cleared his throat and popped the cork on the vial, "She started using magic when were ten but, she didn't know about mana until around fifteen," he drank the entire vial down and shuttered as the substance tricked down his throat.

"Blegh, what the hell was that?"

She looked him in the eye and waved a hand on his face, "Unsuccessful," a flash of light exploded and she was gone, teleporting away.

M'gaan giggled as he grabbed a glass of water and chugged it down quickly, taking a deep breath after it was empty, "Man, that girl is a strange one," he took a glance up and noticed M'gaan gazing at him with love-sick eyes.

"What?" he raised a brow, "Do I have something on my face?" he wiped his cheeks as she giggled once again.

"No," she reached out and grabbed his hand, "You're just really cute, like, all the time," he smiled back at her and took her hand in his own.

"You're the best girlfriend ever," Ben smiled and leaned in as M'gaan did the same, their eyes getting lower and their lips parting ever so slightly; they could feel each others breath on their lips when suddenly an explosion went off just outside.

"Please tell me somethings not about to ruin our date," Ben practically begged the Universe for some dumb luck but, received none as frantic screaming followed the explosion as they witnessed civilians running down the sidewalk away from the scene..

"Wish I could," M'gaan got up and ran towards the exit and looked out the window where a mix-and-match creature was spewing flames into a car causing it to explode, she looked back at Ben and nodded as they both headed for the bathrooms of their respected sex.

Ghostfreak and Miss Martian phased through the ceiling and lowered them selves down to street level where they made themselves visible; the creature turned and stared at Ben, "Does that thing look like...?"

Ghostfreak spoke up in his raspy voice, "My aliens!" he slapped the dial on his chest and appeared as an eight-foot-tall werewolf-creature with a long dark mane and glowing green eyes, "Blitzwolfer? Yea, i can work with this."

The creature faced him and opened it's deformed Tetramand mouth but, a filtered and edited voice came through the collar on his neck instead, "Let the test begin," the creature abandoned hesitation and let loose a barrage of diamond shards from his right hand at Blitzwolfer who dodged accordingly. A shard of diamond was heading straight for M'gaan when Blitzwolfer stepped in front and caught the one inches from her face, "Good boy..." she laughed and rubbed behind his ear as his leg twitched for a moment.

The creature swung it's other arm in their direction spewing immense flames which Blitzwolfer braced himself for by standing in front of M'gaan, perching his feet, and allowing his mouth to split open releasing an emerald wave of sonic energy that blew away the approaching fire and knocked the beast back on its feet.

"Very well," the filtered voice spat as it aimed it's diamond shards at the corner of a building roof-top where a young boy stood on the sidewalk only a few feet below; she rushed over and used her telekinesis to stop the falling rubble. She quickly rushed to his side, he couldn't have been older than eight or nine years old.

"Where's your mom, sweetie?"

"I dunno," he said almost unaware of the danger of the situation; Miss Martian groaned and picked the boy up before floating away dodging a blast of fire in the process; "That was too close!" She set him down in front of a worried woman looking anxiously around the sidewalks.

"Is this your boy, ma'am?"

"Oh my goodness yes! Thank you so much! How can I repay you?" the mother grabbed M'gaan by the shoulders before the Martian looked calmly into her eyes.

"You can do me a favor and get as far away from here as you can, right now; tell everyone on the way to clear the street, there should be a police precinct less than four blocks away," she nodded to the woman as she turned and ran as M'gaan floated up watching the battle.

Blitzwolfer back flipped out of the way of a few diamond shards before maneuvering into the creatures close-quarters, sending a claw down it's crimson-torso but, it didnt seem to feel it, it just sucker punched him in the gut and turned whacking him with its Kineceleran tail.

Blitzwolfer transformed back into Ben and stood holding his head, "What the heck is with this thing; hey, are you an Osmosian? or a robot?"

The same automated voice filtered through the flashing collar around it's neck, "Not a robot, or whatever that is, it's an experiment, one I put together myself; this collar allows me to control the beast," it clasped its hands together and slammed them down on the ground causing a small tremor that shook the block and shattered windows including the restaurants. M'gaan grabbed Ben by the shoulders and lifted him up away from danger.

"Thanks but, I'm not exactly sure how to beat this thing..." Ben looked down at folded his arms mid-air.

"Maybe an Ultimate?"

He rubbed his chin as she dodged a pressurized blast of water coming from below, "No, I think that's over kill, let me try something else, drop me."

She trusted his judgement and dropped him from seventy-feet in the air, he quickly dialed up an alien and transformed just before making ground fall; Cannonbolt slammed armor-first into the back of the creature pinning it to the ground and ripping the asphalt apart forming a giant crater in the street.

a diamond-hard fist punched the two-ton armored sphere off of himself sending Cannonbolt up and onto his back, transforming back into Ben, "Rude..." he dialed up yet another hologram and transformed once again, this time into NRG, "So you're just controlling the beast remotely, right?" he scoffed and fired a beam of crimson radiation from his helmet, "Yea, cause that's so original right?"

The creature formed a crystaline-shield out of his arm blocking the energy-beam, "I'm aware of the cliché, however; this creature has the strength and speed of your best transformations so, I overlook the redundancies."

"Got a name for this… thing?" NRG pounded the ground forming a path of molten magma through the street where the creature slipped into it, ankle deep.

"I was thinking something along the lines of, Amalgam!" it looked down at the trap and exhaled a blast of cool air freezing over the magma allowing it to rip it's feet from within and fire diamond-shards like bullets which actually did pierce NRG's armor.

"Heh, I get it cause amalgam means mix or blend and this is clearly my aliens fused into one; Totally never seen this before by the way, bravo," NRG clapped sarcastically as M'gaan floated down next to him, ripping up a chunk of asphalt to shield them.

"Figured this out yet?" She asked as he ceased shooting diamonds and approached slowly..

"No," NRG stated bluntly, "He's got most of my powers but, I've dealt with something like this before back home," he slapped his Ultimatrix appearing as a massive bronze-clock alien with bulbous limbs and a single clock-spring extending from his head, "Clockwork?"

"New alien?" M'gaan asked floating closer as Amalgum back-handed the slab of asphalt apart and aimed at fist at them until it slowed down, eventually stopping. Everything had become frozen around Clockwork including the Martian; he grabbed her arm as green electricity surged over her and she sped up with him, suddenly being able to see everything frozen in time.

"Woah," she looked at her hand and back to the frozen beast in front of them.

"Clockwork controls time; I haven't seen him in a long time," his accent was thick-German but, he was still understandable.

"So time is frozen?"

"Yea," he reeled his thick metallic-arm back and socked Amalgum in the face so hard he flew off his feet but, was still frozen in mid-air; Clockwork kept his hand wrapped around M'gaan and got closer punching Amalgum again, this time towards a building across from the restaurant. His clock-spring slowed to a halt and everything returned to normal as, in the beast's perspective, he was attacked twice consecutively at high-speeds and this new alien moved like a blur of motion. He hit the building like a speeding truck as rubble crashed down on top of him; M'gaan smiled as he let go of her.

"Wow, impressive, controlling time is a handy-trick," She floated up lifting the rubble off of the beast but, noticed it was gone now, "Where did it?-"

Amalgum phased up from the ground and swept Clockwork's feet out from under him, knocking him onto his back where his unproportional body struggled to get up; M'gaan moved to attack when a flame opened up in his Pyronite palm, "Don't like the warmth? Here have some more," He pushed M'gaan to the floor and created a circle of fire around her causing her to fall to her knees and gasp for air.

A green light exploded as Clockwork was replaced by Chromostone who immediately blasted Amalgam in the back with an rainbow-cascaded energy beam before springing to help M'gaan, however; he was stopped by a volley of thick vines wrapping around his arms and torso dragging him back, "I'm not through with you just yet, hero," Amalgam yanked Chromastone towards him but, he stood his ground and grabbed the vines spinning around and swinging Amalgam into a lamp-post.

Chromostone rushed to M'gaan, kneeling down and grabbing her into his arms before flying up above the street, "Dude, why are you attacking me? What did I do to you?"

"You didn't have to do anything, boy; I'm going to kill you to prove my own genius!" a diamond sword formed in Amalgam's hand just as Chromostone landed and placed M'gaan to her feet.

"Will you be alright?"

She nodded and held her head, "I'll be fine, just finish this already," he gave her a smile before turning back to the beast who held the blade out in front of him; he lifted one hand at it and forced the sword from Amalgam's hands, using his control over diamonds to disarm the beast, the blade landed perfectly in Chromostone's hand.

"You may have my powers, but you don't know how to use them!" He pointed the blade's tip at the creature and challenged his energy through it firing a beam through the tip and into Amalgam's chest knocking him onto his back.

Amalgam grunted with anger as he stood to his feet, "You want to see how well I wield this power?" the creature let loose a wave of sonic energy from his mouth, much like EchoEcho, which caused M'gaan to cover her ears as windows all around them shattered. Chromostone shook his head at the sonic-attack before walking through it nonchalantly, and backhanding Amalgam knocking him tumbling to the ground.

"You don't listen!" Chromostone walked over and grabbed the creature by the collar picking him up with one hand, "You may have my aliens but, you dont know my aliens; and until you do, you can't win!" He reeled his fist back and right-hooked him in the jaw sending him through the street and onto his back again.

Amalgam leaned his head up fired a torrent of fire and pressurized water from both hands into Chromostone's chest but, the crystal alien persisted struggling through the attack with all of his strength. Once he was standing above the beast he charged his energy through his body and into his fists where he channeled it into one final left-hook to the face which ceased the elemental attack sending shock-waves out from the point of impact; rupturing the street, shattering what was left of the surrounding glass, and knocking any bystanders including M'gaan off balance.

"Had enough?" Chromostone huffed as he stared down at the smoking creature below, it was unconscious but, the collar was still working properly enough to project the same filtered voice.

"Oh, I think this test has gone on long enough," Amalgam awoke and began screaming in pain as his body morphed and shifted until he was just a purple humanoid again lying in a crater where Parasite fell unconscious again.

"You think you've won but, in reality you've only helped me; and soon you, like all things, will serve the light!" the collar flashed green as Parasite faded away, teleported by some means or another, out from under the heroes nose.

Chromostone gave a long sigh before slapping the Ultimatrix and reverting back into his human form, "Damn, he got away," the authorities arrived and began cutting off the area to civilians and examining the crime-scene.

"You!" a tall man in a blue coat with a detectives shield around his neck approached quickly catching Ben before he walked away, "What happened here!"

"Oh," Ben looked around in surprise, "There was a creature that attacked; i stopped it but, it got away at the last second..."

He scoffed at all the damage that had been done to the surrounding buildings, "I can vouch for him, officer," M'gaan floated down next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I know you, Martian Manhunter's sidekick, right?" The detective asked writing everything down on a notepad.

"We try to avoid the term 'side-kick' but, yea sort of," Ben reasoned as other officers used caution tape to cut off the area, setting up the area for CSI.

"So, who are you? For the record?" He pointed his pen down at Ben who raised a brow, almost forgetting what it was like for people to not recognize him.

"I'm Ben 10, I'm new around here," he gave him a smile to the detective who pretty much rolled his eyes and put his hands on his hips.

"Well, thanks for the help Ben 10, you did a great job here today," he turned around and faced the lean-up crew, "Let's get this block scanned and cleaned up!"

M'gaan and Ben stepped back onto the side-walk casually as they exhaled from the pressure, "This was a disaster," He announced dragging his hand through his brunette hair.

"Should we get back to our date?" She asked as they turned back to the restaurant noticing the glass windows shattered, diamond-shards protruding from the walls, and part of the inside on fire being put out by the fire-department.

"How's takeout?" Ben chuckled receiving a playful punch from his Martian girlfriend.

"Not funny," She chuckled as they walked down the sidewalk, slowly clasping hands.

"I'm serious, we could set up the holo-projector in my room, movie and take-out in bed, maybe desert afterwards?"

She put her free finger to her chin and smiled, "That does sound pretty nice," she gave a sigh and looked back towards the restaurant behind them, "But, i was hoping to have a nice afternoon out with you..."

Ben pulled her in close, putting his hands on her waist, "We'll have a night like that, I promise but, I don't care where we eat because it'll be fun and i'll be happy as long as you're there with me."

"You know you're a charmer, right?" She giggled as she grabbed the collar of his shirt pulling him closer.

"I can't help but be this smooth," Ben smiled and leaned in placing his lips on hers losing himself in her embrace, they separated and placed their foreheads together, "Let's go home."

"You failed!" Ra's Al Ghoul shouted towards Luthor, "rousing suspicion and allowing Ben Tennyson to see our most powerful project," Ra's and Luthor were the only two people in the same dark room of LexCorp where they had their meeting earlier on; The most dangerous assassin on the planet came closer to Luthor before being held back by Vandal whom placed a single finger on Ras' chest.

"Settle down, Ra's," A force of incredible strength knocked the air out of his lungs and sent him to his knees.

"How did you-" Lex looked up at Vandal who merely smirked.

"I'm not just immortal my friend," the man turned completely around and walked up to Luthor who took a single step backwards, "I enjoyed Amalgam's performance this afternoon; I'm sure you have plans to upgrade the project?"

Luthor sighed, "Perhaps but, I won't be able to do it alone, I need Albedo's alien expertise, and Professor Ivo's engineering skills; It won't be easy but, it can be done."

"Wonderful, I'll notify the others and we'll take it to phase two immediately," Vandal walked towards the door and exited the room leaving Ra's on the ground and a terrified Luthor to exit shortly after.
