Luke was right, if she were to attack the big walker it would just overcomplicate things. It would be cool to show him her skills, but Clem was sure he had already heard of the bandit who helped kill Omid and what happened to him. Her toughness was already acknowledged. She crept behind the small one, raised her right arm high and pierced through the skull of the walker with her knife. It croaked, dying almost instantly while Luke slipped his machete straight through the tall one's head. It dropped dead.

"Ngh.." Clem attempted to pull the knife out of it's skull, but it was jammed in there pretty good. Lee came up behind her and helped her pull the knife out. "Thanks."

"That thing isn't good for melee combat. Here, I've been meaning to give you this." Lee handed over the monkey wrench he kept on him from the train all the way back in those first three months. She took it, pocketing the knife.

"You don't have a weapon that doesn't shoot?" Luke questioned, sheathing his machete.

"Aside from my axe, which I can't do much with anymore, no. Don't worry, I'll pistol whip any walkers coming our way." Lee explained, holding onto the combat pistol by its barrel.

"Works for me. Alright, let's continue. Oh, and good work, kid." Luke smiled down at Clem before strutting forward to the bridge.

"Thanks." She deadpanned, however the smile on her lips betrayed her tone. The three shimmied between some vehicles and broken bits of iron that barricaded the bridge. Luke noted Rebecca would have to be extra careful crossing. Eventually, they made it halfway across the bridge, without a walker in sight.

"That's the house you saw with your binoculars, right?" Luke asked the eleven year old, whom in return nodded.

"Yeah. Still looks abandoned to me."

"Don't get your hopes up just yet. We should still check it out." Lee passed by Luke, taking the lead. The southern man just shrugged, following behind him. Ahead of them was another barricade of cars, iron and trash that would make crossing to the other side a huge hassle for the fragile, less agile members of the group. Before they could even get close enough to climb past this blockade too, a groan could be heard from under a car jammed between the rest of the barricade. Lee stopped in his tracks, Luke and Clem doing the same.

"Lurker?"

"Eough…" The zombie groaned, slowly climbing up to the surface. It weakly stood on its feet, preparing to wobble over to the group. From behind, Clementine could hear the faint noise of gurgling too. She reacted by spinning around and clutching her monkey wrench, though she was caught off guard when the walker jumped at her.

"Ah!" She hopped back, narrowly avoiding the swinging hands of the corpse. Lee turned around to see if Clem was okay.

"Clementine?!" The walker had gotten surprisingly close with this time, hungry for human flesh.

"Lee, look out!" Luke sprinted past Lee, pushing him away before the walker Lee had his eyes on could reach him. Unfortunately, the second Luke was in stabbing range, the bridge gave in and a chunk of it broke under their combined weight. Luke yelled as he fell back-first with his walker adversary. The walker thankfully got the worst of this fall, being impaled through its stomach. This didn't kill it though, and it continued to try and grab Luke, who was lucky enough to drop on some steel that kept the bridge airborne. Lee and Clem both took notice of his fall, but Clementine was far too busy defending herself to act.

"Holy shit, Luke!" Lee screeched in surprise, his head zooming towards the source of the sound.

"I-I'm fine.. I'm just stuck -- I need help, I need you to pull me back up!" Luke's cry for help stung his now injured cheek and bleeding lip. He must have hit his face on his way down. His feet and elbows were the only things keeping him from a watery demise below.

"I'm on it, just give me a second-" Lee shouted, turning back again to see Clementine smacking the attacking walker in the teeth with her wrench. The once female walker stumbled, facing away from Clementine before she jumped up and slammed the wrench down into its skull. It landed on its face to the ground, but was still alive, prompting Clementine to take yet another heavy swing to it's once human brain. She destroyed the back of his head with a sigh of relief, turning her attention to the now distracted Lee.

"I-I got it! Help Luke!" She commanded her caretaker. He nodded, but was suddenly grabbed by the ankle. A third walker they didn't spot before without legs pulled Lee down to the ground, causing his gun to be ejected from his hand. He grunted as he fell down, trying to kick the reanimated corpse to death, but he couldn't quite get a good enough angle.

"C-Clem! Give me my gun!" He reached out for the combat pistol, with the gun being just barely out of his range. He was getting slightly closer, but so was the walker's teeth to Lee's ankle.

"I-I'm slipping! Lee, Clem, where are you?!" The farm boy tried desperately to reach the bridge's top once again, but his only hope was an iron pole that was also out of his range. If he could just reach it and put it under himself before the walker could reach his foot, he may be able to get out in one piece. Clem could feel the pressure on her as she struggled to make the right choice. Would Lee be able to save himself if she helped Luke, or would Luke reach the pole if she just stomped out the walker? What if one of them dies, or worse, is bitten..?

((QOTC: Is there a minor character in the Walking Dead you always wanted more from? By minor I mean characters like Glenn, Sam the dog, Omar, Dorian, etc. I've always wanted to see more of Aasim, Omar and especially Chuck, as you can probably guess by the latters heavy involvement in this story.
