Earthlings

Raan; January 6th 2019; 4:08AM

M'gaan did her best to tear the terrain apart on her way through the jungle as to best ease her comrades journey behind her; Beast Boy now morphed into a green jaguar and Ben transformed into a cross between Jetray and Fasttrack ran behind her with Superboy leaping not too far behind. She tore two trees apart whilst Fastray sped through by foot with Beast Boy right behind, though; as Superboy jumped through the clearing she'd created he was blasted in the back by their pursuing enemy causing him to tumble into the dirt. Another was with them, a young adult Raanian with a jet-pack staying as close to M'gaan as she could but, failed when a piece of debris struck her pack and caused it to spark. She ditched it as soon as she could and was blown back by its explosion heading for the ground as well; Superboy clutched the dirt and jumped up catching her mid-air before being struck by a blaster in the neck landing back-first into a tree protecting the girl with his invulnerability.

This is when the enemy caught up with them, a massive spider-like tank with six legs and several barrel mounted weapons approached slowly aimed down at them before firing another bright yellow beam. Superboy immediately tucked over her to shield her from any damage; The beam sent him off the ground in pain clutching the woman by her waist as he tore through the dirt with his body. He approached a cliff and dug his nails into the ground to slow his momentum but, had little success when he went right off the edge holding onto her by her hand alone. He pulled himself up to his elbow when he saw the tank crawling forwards in pursuit, "This is not how the mission was supposed to go…"

6 Hours Earlier

Beast Boy gawked at the massive utopia-seeming city from afar as moon-light glistened across the glass buildings, "Woah, I'm totally walking on an alien planet…" he looked back to his team mates and smiled, "Wow, sis, you must say that like… every day on Earth."

M'gaan smiled heartily and ruffled his hair, "Actually, I kinda do."

"Wait," Beast Boy worried, "We can breathe the air here, right?" suddenly he grabbed his throat but, didn't feel anything out of the ordinary. They heard a voice shouting from a far announcing Strange's name, "Adam! Adam!" A Rannain girl with short black hair, freckles, and goggles wrapped around her forehead approached with a tall, skinny man in a lab coat and a smile, "Adam! Akal mian ayu, Adam?"

Strange chuckled, "Great, I think…" he turned quickly to the team, "Zeta squad! These are my Rannian friends, Zardac and… Allana," he hummed the girls name with emotion which sounded a bit odd for the others but, nothing they weren't used to.

"Zardac o Allana, cho akal niar Miss Martian, ay Superboy, ay, Ben Tene Thowlock ay, Beast Boy; ob lokc Earth," Adam introduced them as best he could in Rannian tongue but, likely butchered it none-the-less.

Zardac had no issues understanding, "Cho lokc Earthlings mai hlo tata theta? O mata leta?"

They all looked up to Strange who looked back with a confused expression, "I'm… still figuring out the language, this is usually when we start playing charades."

"No need," Ben announced as he focused his left wrist up at eye level, "Biomnitrx, translate all foreign languages; uhhh let's say continental-range," his watch illuminated with a bright energy suddenly expanding and flowing out into the surrounding area. Everyone was unaffected but, slightly spooked by the new feature, even his fellow team members.

"Oh, what was that?" Allana questioned holding her head and looking around for changes.

Zardac looked at his hands and coat with a sigh, "Such an odd sensation."

"Wait!" Strange nearly shouted as he approached them and looked about, "You made them speak English?"

"No, he didn't, his watch his just translating everything with psychic energy; I'm the one who helped him with that feature," M'gaan was almost annoyed but, simply stepped forwards leaving Ben with a frown, "They speak Raanian, we speak English; but now all hear the language they understand, I could do it too on a smaller scale."

"Amazing," Zardac announced.

Allana stepped forwards toward Strange, "It will make communicating so much… easier," She got close to his face with a seductive smirk.

Zardac peeked around after hearing nearby police-sirens before turning back quickly, "Perhaps we should take this inside, it is wise to use caution when harboring earthlings…" he motioned towards the entrance to his laboratory as the heroes followed suit behind him.

Once down the elevator and in safe quarters, Strange confronted Zardac directly for one of the first times which was still interesting to him, "So, Zardac, have you discovered why the Justice League is so hated in this part of the Galaxy, yet?"

Beast Boy smiled as he entered the room spotting a green dinosaur-like bird with three-eyes and a large beak, "Alien animal-age! Sweet!" He ran over to interact with it whist the others conversed amongst themselves.

Zardac released a long sigh, "The Raanian Science Command is very xenophobic which is why my research into inter-galactic zeta-beam travel is being done… quietly."

Adam continued for him, "And why you haven't reported the theft of your technology."

"Exactly, if Science Command learned I have made it possible for aliens, especially Earthlings, to zeta here to Raan, the consequences could be dire to myself and my daughter."

Superboy spoke up, "I still don't get it, why the big hate for Earthlings? How do they even know any Earthlings to hate?"

Allana stepped up to a projector in the center of one of her father's alien-computers, pressing her hand down it enlarged the earlier image of the wanted signs for the Justice League, "I'm sure Adam has shown you this, we are still unclear on the details."

"Science Command has not been inclined to share intelligence with its people," Zardac added as Beast Boy, now mimicking the head of the alien-bird saw the warnings for the first time and approached the screen.

"But, we have learned there was an incident on the planet Rimbor involving Earth criminals known as the Justice League," Allana continued.

Zardac frowned, "I assume you are not associated with these outlaws?"

Ben, Superboy, and M'gaan gave one another a worried expression before Ben cleared his throat, "We are not members of the League."

Zardac's expression softened at this as he continued his informational lecture, "Only these six were on Rimbor but, since then the Krolotaens have placed planetary watch alerts for every criminal in the League."

Adam Strange approached with a morbid expression, "The Krolotaens! That's who stole your zeta-platforms specs, they used it to secretly invade Earth which is how they found out about other Leaguers!" He grabbed Zardac's arm but, was shrugged off immediately.

"I know," he responded agitatedly, "I told you that last time you were here."

"Of course," Strange face palmed in regret of his misunderstanding, "Krolotaen! I thought you just meant the Raanian word for 'thief'!"

"It might as well be," Allana finished.

M'gaan stepped forwards, "Yea, Krolotaen culture revolves around stolen tech, we heard; question is what we do about it."

Allana smiled, "My father's zeta-shield will help…" She moved to the right and pressed a single button on the console projecting a spherical hologram of Raan, "If I can perfect the designs," her father finished, "Your primitive zeta-tubes will still function within the confines of your Earth's atmosphere but, unauthorized travel to and from other worlds will become impossible; in short, my shield will prevent more Krolotaens from invading your world via zeta-beam while trapping any still in-trenched there."

"And in the mean-time, Adam tells us you've located the Krolotaen zeta-platform here on Raan?" M'gaan questioned.

"Indeed," Zardac confirmed looking back to his holographic diagram, "But, the jungles of Raan can be dangerous, you Earthlings will need a guide."

"I'll go father, you must complete your work on the zeta-shield."

He nodded in response, "Your transportation out of the city of Raanagar is also not without risks, Allana, we must disguise these Earthlings!"

"Enough with this Earthlings thing," Superboy started, "I'm, half-Kryptonian, Miss Martian is Martian and Ben is… like a million different things."

Zardac raised a brow, "You come here from Earth, do you not?"

Superboy stuttered, "W-Well, yes but, we're not," he sighed in exasperation and gave up, "Never-mind."

Ben stepped up with his arms crossed, "Disguise will come easy for us three, however; for him?" They all turned to Conner who rolled his eyes.

"I guess I'll find something to wear…" Allana escorted him to the far left where she stashed some coats and linins for him to try.

Ben tapped one of his two watches as it glowed to life before Beast Boy spoke up from behind, "You going to use one of your awesome alien-fusion guys?"

Ben gave him a warm smile, "Nah, it'll drain too much power which isn't smart if I need it later; for now, I'll just use a normal alien," He slid through the settings of his right Biomnitrix before stopping.

"You can still do that?" M'gaan asked quickly trying not to be too interested but, still spitting venom with the sub-tone of her words.

"Took a while to figure out all the ins-and-outs of this thing but, yea, each of these watches can serve as its own Omnitrix; Biomnitrix, activate singular transfer mode."

"Activating; left Biomnitrix module switching to hibernation mode."

"There," he announced as his right watch silently illuminated; he then summoned a hologram of a normal alien of his older playlists. He flipped through for a while before selecting a Necrofrigian and slapping the faceplate with a far gentler touch than he used to; after the glow settled he was left as Big Chill with his turquois and navy-blue hood covering his appearance, "Command code 1010 Tennyson Benjamin engage life-form lock," his raspy voice commanded to his chest wear the Omnitrix symbol illuminated upon hearing his voice.

"Life-form lock engaged."

Superboy stepped over wearing a traditional male Raanian janitorial uniform colored red and white with a hood to cover his earth-like features found by Allana for him, "You can stop the time-outs, too?"

Big Chill turned to him and responded, "Yup, this new rig never had any restrictions, I just didn't know how to use it."

M'gaan shape shifted into a generic Raanian adult woman whilst Beast Boy morphed into the same alien bird in the lab beside him, floating onto her shoulder, "Than let's get going," she finished.

Raanagor Train Station; January 6th 2019

The six travelers casually approached a docked train-like alien transportation within a futuristic station with lights and signals of the like. The doors slid open for the passengers and they along with a few other average Raanian's boarded the hovering subway taking a seat on either side.

"We should be fine now," Allana noted but, was corrected when the doors were caught by two sets of hands before they could slide-shut, "Unless the Raanian science patrol comes in for routine ID checks."

Adam reached into the duffle around is neck, "I'll create a diversion, lead them off the train."

"No," Allana spouted within the telepathic communication, "It's not safe, I'll-"

"You're the jungle guide, remember? I'll ditch these guys and circle back to your father's compound; help him finish the zeta-shield."

Allana gave him a solemn stare whilst placing her hands on his, "Be careful…"

Big Chill and M'gaan who happened to be sitting next to each other shared a quick glance after seeing this before awkwardly turning away and looking in opposite directions; Conner rolled his eyes feeling the obvious tension. Beast Boy being in-between the two former-lovers gave a worrisome look before returning his gaze to Adam.

He quickly sat up as the gaurds approached, "Beware the Chabawok, my sons!" He ran up and placed his hands on their shoulders, "The jaws that bite, the claws that catch; beware the Jub-Jub bird and shun the fulminous vandersnatch!" he quickly tapped one of the guards faces and pulled back, "Got your nose!"

The annoyed officer reached out to grab him but missed as Strange took off out of the train and back into the station, "No time to say goodbye, hello, hello, I'm late!" he turned the corner as fast as he could, leading both officers off the train and back into the city.

Allana approached the window watching his run, "Vandersnatch? Jub-jub bird?"

M'gaan shrugged her shoulders, "His last name is Strange."

Adam was about to jump off the platform when he activated his jet-pack and flew off into the sky leaving the guards behind now having missed the trains departure, "And down the rabbit-hole I go!"

…

4 Hours Later

Allana pulled out her projector device and tapped a few commands into it, "We'll be in range of the coordinates, soon," She took of her pack and placed the projector inside.

Beast Boy looked between Ben and M'gaan before taking on a sinister grin, "Hey, sis…" he cooed as he stepped toward her, "Remember that time you and Ben visited me in Qurac? He picked flowers for you that were actually poisonous?"

M'gaan looked up with a very short smile at him, "That was a long time ago, Gar."

He rolled his dragon-like eyes and turned to Ben, "Noted… but, you remember, right Ben?"

Big Chill exhaled a cold gust as he turned to Allana, "How much farther, now?"

"We're close enough…" she waited a few crutial seconds, "Now."

Superboy stood up with a yawn and moved to the sliding doors before kicking them in and sending them off the train and into the massive jungle below; Allana led the way and M'gaan, Beast Boy, and Big Chill flew after her jet-pack with Superboy tailing with his enhanced agility.

They all landed in a dense set of trees as Beast Boy and M'gaan morphed into their normal forms; Big Chill spread his wings and tapped his Omnitrix symbol,"Code 1010 Tennyson Benjamin, disengage life-form lock."

"Life-form lock disengaged; 1,000,983 alien transformations available."

Big Chill transformed in a flash of light revealing Ben Tennyson in his human form, again; Allana pulled out her projector and analyzed the directions based off where they were, "This way," she stated as Conner tucked his uniform inside his duffle.

Beast Boy leapt into the air swinging on a vine and landing in front of them before spotting a bright pink flower, "Now, there's some souvenir material!" He jumped into the air where Allana shouted.

"Wait!" she shouted grabbing his tail just short of the sparkling soil beneath the plant as he hit the ground with his chin; she grabbed a nearby twig and tossed it into the soil which immediately swallowed the stick and erupted in burping purple flames.

"Carnivorous Balrog; lethal. Basically, if it looks pretty, don't touch."

Garfield chuckled, "Noted…"

45 Minutes Later

After traveling through the dense jungle, they finally came upon a large building resembling a football-stadium in size only; obviously not as innocent, "It's bigger than I anticipated!" Allana announced, "Even this far out into the jungle, how could something this size be built without the Science Command's knowledge?"

"I'm going in, I'll send you an image of where to rendezvous," M'gaan flipped her hood and entered camouflage mode which, Ben noticed, had gotten even more elusive than he remembered.

"Me too," Ben crossed his watches and transformed as the trademarked flash of light engulfed them leaving a fusion of Ghostfreak and Snare-Oh with a ghostly body covered in ethereal bandages and golden chains locking the Biomnitrix symbol to his body and pharaoh-like mask.

"I can handle it on my own," she argued with an annoyed look.

Snarefreak shrugged his bandaged shoulders, "That isn't the point," he said in a raspy-crackled tone, "Everyone needs someone watching their back…"

The Martian-girl scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Whatever, we don't have time to argue," she floated upwards and into the sky followed by Snarefreak who used his intangibility to appear invisible. They phased through the wall of the large facility and peered inside; what they saw was a large base not unlike Ben and Robin uncovered on Earth filled to the brim with Krolotaens working on something big.

M'gaan looked up and flew towards the ceiling where there was a small hatch waiting for some aerial-vehicle to land; she forced it open with her telekinesis without alarming anyone, "Found your entrance."

They used their individual powers and equipment to make it to the top of the entrance where Snarefreak announced, "All clear," as M'gaan used her telekinesis to lift them up and float them quietly down into the facility. Beast Boy landed and transformed into an Earth monkey as he crawled over and observed the workers below, "Six zeta platforms?"

Superboy pulled his duffle out and dumped the contents, "Not for long," he picked up a small case and opened it, "These are small target explosives; should take out the platforms without destroying the whole base, three-minute triggers should give us plenty of time to get out before the Krolotaens know what hit em'."

M'gaan picked up three of the six explosives and handed three to Garfield, "Beast Boy and I will plant them, you three stay here."

"But I can…" Snarefreak was too late to say anything as they'd already taken off to individually place the bombs; Superboy gave him an unsure glance before shrugging his shoulders in response.

They finished placing the bombs in seconds but, just as they completed the task; an alarm rang through-out the facility with the Krolotaens screeching at one another frantically, pulling levers and pressing buttons to prepare for something. They raised a massive antenna from the center of the building into the hatch they'd entered through.

"The escape routes blocked; we're trapped in here with the bombs!"

Suddenly, all six platforms lit up with an explosion of yellow light engulfing the entire building leaving six groups of ten Krolotaens each, "The bombs and a lot of angry company."

Snarefreak observed the situation and prepared a counter measure, "New plan, when the platforms blow, use the chaos to charge to the front door."

"And then we blow this popsicle stand," Beast Boy stated shrugging next to the last omb he'd placed, les than a few feet from it.

"You aren't the leader here so stop giving orders," M'gaan argued telepathically.

Snarefreak scoffed, "Do you have a better plan!?"

"I can think of one faster than you, that's for sure!"

Suddenly, all the explosives went off as one knocking beast boy forwards hitting him with debris in the back, "Beast boy! Gar, are you okay?

Then chimp slowly sat up holding his head, "Yea, I'm good, go!" He immediately morphed into a ferocious ape pounding its chest, with a roar he charged the exit and slapped midget alien's out of the way. Snarefreak approached the exit and used his control over his bandages to wrap around the door panels and rip them open leading into a corridor.

"The exit is clear! Move!"

The Krolotaen that zeta-teleported from Earth watched Ben lead them out the exit and narrowed its eyes, he started screeching now at the top of its lungs sounding insulted.

They sprinted or floated down the hall as they found a panel leading to the outside, shattering it and blasting their way to the outside. As they finally made it clear of the jungle, they slowed down and took a breath, "Where did all those Krolotaens come from?" Allana asked.

Snarefreak transformed into his human form and sighed, "Earth, I think; we raided their bases two nights ago and they've been in faster than light travel since… this planet is so far from home it must've taken them this long to get here."

Beast Boy sighed, "Can't the Biomnitrix translate for us, to be sure?"

M'gaan gave a sigh, "That function was based on my psychic ability so, it's only capable of translating one language at a time."

"Hm… noted."

Superboy stopped and turned his ear to forest behind them, hearing a loud rustling less than a mile back, "They're following us; or something is, something big…" Superboy used his infrared to look beyond the trees and spotted massive tanks clawing through the vines and greenery, "Move!" he shouted aloud as an explosion ignited at his feet.

He landed on his feet and immediately super-jumped across the jungle as the tank landed springing off its mechanical legs towards the Kryptonian. They landed as an explosion separated them by hundred of feet, Superboy was knocked into a boulder and blasted causing an explosion of smoldering smoke; Allana backed away as the tank followed him instead of her.

"In here!" Fastray shouted as she backed away and into a small cave covered by vines, hidden by nature, he transformed back to normal and ducked behind a rock as two more tanks quickly stepped by the entrance and continued on.

"Are you sure Superboy will be alright?"

Ben didn't look away from the entrance as he answered, "He's a big boy; he can handle himself pretty well."

"Ben, Allana, Superboy, are you?" M'gaan asked through the mental-link.

"Safe, for now." Ben responded.

"Working on it!" Superboy shouted as he leapt behind a tree and toppled it over with a punch slowing down the tanks lead.

"How about you? Did you?"

"We lost them," M'gaan said sitting atop a tree branch in camouflage mode while Beast Boy was morphed into the alien-bird from earlier.

"Now can we blow this popsicle stand!?"

M'gaan grunted, "Now? We stay put. Give these soldiers a chance to move on, we'll meet up below the mag-rail when it's safe."

Allana spoke up, "And then regroup with Adam and my father to determine what to do about this Krolotaen base."

Ben sighed, "M'gaan… be safe."

"You too, Ben," she gave a sympathetic tone to him for the first time this trip.

Allana cleared her throat as she slid her back down the wall of the cave, "So, how long were you and she together?" she asked aloud.

Ben took a glance back and sighed, "Three years, give or take a month."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No," He was quick to answer as he looked back out into the jungle as her eyes widened.

"Oh, can she hear us?"

Ben smiled, "Doesn't work that way…"

"Well than, talk. I live light-years away so you'll never see me again; I'm the perfect confidant," She gave a reassuring smile and scooched towards him ready to hear him out.

"It's complicated… and weird."

She bent her head in confusion, "Hey, I have a crush on an alien from another planet, who am I to judge?"

"You asked for it," He took a deep breath and exhaled, "You see I'm not only an alien to you I'm an inter-dimensional alien. My home was in another Universe where none of this exists; no Raan, no Justice League, no M'gaan. I suffered a tragedy there and I lost my home world but, when I got here, M'gaan was one of the first people I told about what happened and I felt comfortable with my past for the first time with her."

Allana raised a brow tapping her chin, "Complicated but, sweet, go on."

Ben closed his eyes and leaned his head back on the cave walls, "Well, an enemy from my past followed me here to this Universe and threatened to destroy a large city on this Earth if I didn't face him and give him my watch… Instead, I chose to fight and it ended with thousands of casualties. I made the wrong call."

She pursed her lips, "Sounds awful but, also sounds like an empathic telepathic shapeshifter would be the perfect person to understand what you were thinking and why you did what you did?"

"I used to think so… but after a while, I started drinking and smoking…" he lowered his head in shame, "The depression was too much."

"Drinking what? What is smoking?"

Ben chuckled, "Substance, ya know; it makes you feel good and effects your perception, I guess?"

She looked away in confusion, "We don't have that here… but, go on?"

"Not much else to say," he dragged his hands down his face, "The pressure was too much so, I left the team and my home; I didn't even say goodbye."

"Well, you still have feelings for her; perhaps, you regret leaving her?" She reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder.

He chuckled again, "I didn't leave her, she left me; I left her no choice…"

The dragon-bird that Beast Boy was mimicking watched as the sider-like tanks turned and fled the scene looking for them in the opposite direction now, he slowly morphed back into his monkey-human form, "Sweet, the soldiers are gone! Way to lead a mission accomplished; Up high, sis!" he turned a raised his hand for a high-five but, noticed no one around until suddenly he was tackled with a warm hug from behind.

"Ah!" Garfield shouted with a short smile, "What's that for?"

M'gaan hummed, "Nothing. Just family prerogative."

"Get off!" He shouted playfully as he jumped down from the branch they were on before swinging on a vine and landing on a further branch, "Race ya to the Mag-Rail!"

M'gaan giggled as she floated after him, "Gar, be careful, before another carnivorous tree tries to take a bite out of you!"

He flipped through the tree's and vines landing on a branch and leaping off like a real chimpanzee, "Don't worry, you can just give me another blood-transfusion," he grabbed a branch and swung around it launching himself into a vine, "Wonder what powers I'll get this time!"

M'gaan phased through the branches that were in her way and giggled at his dialogue, "The power to listen to your adopted sister, maybe?!"

He did a mid-air flip and landed in front of a small water-fall, "Sorry, didn't hear that!" however, the second he laid eyes on the body of water he froze and shifted from a monkey-human hybrid into a normal body with shorter hair and green skin. He lost his tail and about three inches of height; he simply stared on at the scene which felt too familiar to him.

"Beast Boy?"

M'gaan landed next to him and looked around before finally noticing the relevance of the water-fall pouring before them; it was similar to a water-fall on Earth in his home country of Qurac where a villain named Queen Bee used her mental-hypnosis to force Garfield's mother into driving her car off a cliff. It's the reason M'gaan adopted him as her little brother and moved him into the Cave to begin with.

"I'm so sorry, Gar; I should've been there. Should've done something, you never could have stopped her," he fell to his hands and knees as she held his head in her arms, "I miss your mom, too but, we have to keep moving. It's not safe here. Please?"

He gave her a hug and a smile as tears streamed down his lime-green skin; unbeknownst to them, a Krolotaen quietly snuck towards them in a spider-tank where he shot them with paralyzing non-lethal projectiles knocking them out-cold on contact. They flopped to the ground as two other tanks approached to secure the capture; they were grabbed and locked in pods attached to the tanks.

Ben and Allana reached the Mag-Rail with a sigh of relief; the mission was almost completed as they prepared to make the final trek to the rendezvous point, "M'gaan, we're almost there; how far are you?"

He received no response as he tried contacting Superboy this time, "Superboy, any track on M'gaan?"

Allana raised her brow, "Is everything alright?"

"No, M'gaan's link is down; something is off," Ben put a finger to his chin for a moment, "The only reason that the link would be down is if she was unconscious… that means the Krolotaens must have her!"

Allana pounded a fist into her palm, "Than we must go back and find her!" she pulled a projector from her pack and tapped commands into it summoning a holo-map, "Here are the closest Krolotaen tanks, let's go!"

After nearly 20 minutes of travel, they came across three tanks heading due-south, Allana immediately leapt out into their path and shouted, "Beware the jabawak!" obviously trying to mimic Adam Strange's earlier distraction tactic; she ran into the forest grabbing a vine and swinging over a large pool of purple sand, where-as the tank walked right through it. This was another carnivorous Balrog which immediately reached up and grabbed hold of the tank burning it alive with massive pink flames.

Ben crossed his watches and transformed with a flash of emerald light; he leapt into the air as a new fusion of Loadstar and Armadrillo, sporting a massive yellow-metallic body with two thick jack-hammer arms only now, he also black magnet-markings painted across his armor and two-pointed shoulder blades. The most distinctive feature was his silver head magnetically floating between his shoulders, "Armadrillode!" as he brought his two metallic fists down on the ground, the dirt beneath the tanks ruptured and swallowed the legs immobilizing them both. He lifted his hands at the pods atop the tanks, using his magnetic-prowess to rip them open; he transformed back into his human form, leaping onto a mana platform before sending two mana-discs into the tank's cockpit. He ripped open the door and tossed the pilot out as he stepped up and saw M'gaan and Garfield lying unconscious inside the pod.

He gave a short smile as he noticed her unharmed, she snuggled into his chest out of habit as her eyes flickered open, "Ben?" He was busy looking down at her and focusing on her injuries when another tank from behind aimed its canon at them. They had completely forgotten about the second tank with a Krolotaen still inside the cockpit.

It cackled until it heard a knocking on the glass; it turned it's head up and gulped with a nervous screech, "Get. Out." Superboy demanded with a torn shirt and tattered jeans, "Now."

The Krolotaen immediately ejected the glass and tried to escape only to be knocked out by Conner, "Is everyone alright?" He asked as Ben laid M'gaan out on the grass with Beast Boy hopping from behind re-morphed into his monkey form.

"We're good, I think…" Superboy, Allana, Ben, Beast Boy and a recovering M'gaan all had their attention drawn upwards at a massive ship rising from the jungle above them. It was the facility they had broken into earlier only, it had entire several levels that were hidden underground, now visible. It aimed several smaller cannons and open fired multiple lasers down at them; Ben transformed into DiamondArms and punched the ground with all his strength forcing massive diamond structures up and around them, giving them cover from the blasts.

"Are they still trying to capture us or is this just a bitter revenge thing, now?" Beast Boy shouted with his hands in the air.

Superboy leaned in, "Either way? We discourage them, Game?"

Garfield smiled, "Me? I'm big game."

DiamondArms cracked his crystiline knuckles, "Count me in," he looked down to Allana who now held M'gaan in her lap, "Protect her…"

"With my life."

DiamondArms looked towards Superboy, "I'll take care of it; you guy's just get M'gaan to safety!"

Conner raised a brow as he walked passed him, "What're you going to do?"

"What I should have done from the get-go," He slapped his chest-plate as a massive green explosion formed blinding Allana, Beast Boy, and Conner at once. From the light emerged an enormous alien with burning rocks for skin and a flaming skull.

"Big Blast!" It boomed with an echoing voice; he wasn't quite as big as Way Big, however; the ability to manipulate fire and heat more than made up for the loss of size. The massive ship attempted to fly higher to avoid the giant alien's grasp failing as he jumped into the air and used explosions from his heel to increase his agility. He gripped the ship by its side and ripped it out of the sky, melting it between his hands; multiple explosions went off throughout its hull but, it was less than a slight prick for someone of Big Blast's might.

On the ground, flaming debris rained down from above like a storm of fire and rock; one large red-hot piece of shrapnel aimed straight for M'gaan and Allana only being stopped by Superboy rushing in and catching it before it made land fall. He swung back and used it as a sharp-projectile to cleave a piece of burning rock out of the sky before it even got close to them.

"Please, M'gaan, you must awaken. You must awaken now!" Her eyes snapped open and looked up to see the ongoing battle above her.

"Oh, no…"

Big Blast shook the alien ship vigorously knocking hundreds of Krolotaens out of the ship; as they fell he slapped his symbol and reverted to normal dropping from several hundred feet up, he used a blue mana platform to catch himself and floated down until he caught up with one of the falling aliens. He reached out and used his mana to catch one by the ankle; "You're going to tell me everything I need to know," his eyes lit up bright blue as the massive molten chunk of metal fell to the ground behind him only a few hundred feet from his friends, causing a massive quake below.

It screeched back at him in refusal, turning its head and trying to escape, "Fine," he narrowed his eyes with anger and lifted his hand, "Exige Animas Omnibus!" the creature suddenly had a pink hue around it's body suddenly turning blue and absorbing into Ben's aura. The Krolotaen went limp, now completely void of life; he lowered it to the ground along with himself, dropping it and dispersing his mana as M'gaan and the others approached.

"Ben?" M'gaan questioned as she looked back to the dead Krolotaen with suspicious anger, "What did you-"

"Never mind that, we need to get back to Earth; I know what the Justice League did on Rimbor, I know what happened during their six-teen hours."

Btw, the spell Ben used on the Krolotaen was a soul absorption spell that leaves the effected without a soul aka dead as a doorknob. Charmcaster used it to try and revive her father in Ultimate Alien.
