Max comes to see Ms. M and Rose at the lighthouse. When he meets them, he asks Rose hesitantly, "Uh Rose. If you are not busy." Rose looking perplexed as
Max is blushing while talking to her. "Would you like to… To… Ugh! They always make this seem easier in the movies." Rose then asks, "Are you trying to ask
me out on a date?" "Yes! No! Maybe, but you don't have to. If that is what you…" "I would be delighted." Max with a look of joy and fear, "Great! I mean sure.
Um, how's about a movie at 6:00 PM?" "It's a date." Ms. M takes Max aside asking, "Are you sure a date is a good idea right now Max?" "After all that's been
happening. I think this could help take her mind off that and help her relax. Hopefully making what she is going through more manageable." Ms. M raises an
eyebrow, "Is this for her, or for you?" Max hesitantly responds, "A little. It's just, it couldn't hurt to get to know her on a more personal level." With a soft
smile Ms. M agrees, "Ok Max. It's alright with me. Just keep each other safe alright." "Sure thing Ms. M."
That evening while they are leaving the theater Max and Rose walk past an alley Rose is then snatched around the neck by a mugger with a knife at her
throat. "Don't make any sudden sounds or this pretty angle goes back to heaven." Then as he is saying that Max sees Rose's eyes become dino and her hands
get her claws, and she rips the mugger's arm and knife away. Slashing his arm and making him scream in pain before she grabs him by the throat in her right
clawed fingered hand as she has her spiked tail come out from her hot pants and her head looks like a raptor about to kill him. Max puts his hands on her
arm, and she looks at him with ferocity. Then he gently tells her, "Please let him go. Don't kill him out of rage. You are not a monster." She snarls as she
replies, "He's a monster and I will make sure he will never hurt or threaten anyone again!" "Please don't kill him! I know what he was going to do is
inexcusable. But ask yourself who is the real monster is here, and who will be seen as the real monster." Rose looks at the mugger who is gasping for air and
smells that he lost control of his bowls. Then her face starts to change back as she says, "If I let him go. He could reveal us, and he will hurt others again."
Max then gently tells her with a slight tear in his eye, "I know there is a risk and part of me would love to see you rip to pieces. To get what he deserves, but
what good would it really do if you kill him. You would be guilty of murder. That is taking the easy way. For doing what right is never meant to be easy. Please
let him go and do what is right. For me." She then looks at the mugger again who is passed out and looks at Max again as she reluctantly agrees. "Only for
you Max." She lets him go and Max takes out his phone to call the police. "911 get me the police. We were about to be mugged…"
Later after the police arrive. The mugger is put in the police car while the officers asks, "How did you subdue and incapacitate him ma'am?" Rose tells them,
"Self-defense class." The officer then informs her, "Had you not held back. This thief would be dead. Good thing you had your boyfriend here to keep from
doing something you would've regretted, and we would've needed to arrest you for killing." Rose, "Yeah I sure am thankful he was here." The officers then
leave them saying, "You two have a nice evening, but be prepared to deliver your testimony at the hearing." Max, "Yes officer we will." As the police car drives
off Rose takes Max's hand and hugs him tearfully. "I wanted to kill him. To make it hurt so badly." Max hugs her as he tells her, "I know. But then you'd be no
better. I believe you are stronger for the choice you made. Mercy is never weakness, and is never the wrong thing to do."
Looking up into his eyes, "Only because you were here to stop me. If only I had someone like you when I first turned. Maybe my… my… family would still be…"
He holds her close as tears go down her cheeks. "It's okay. I know it can hurt. And I know I can't relate cause I still have mine. But grandpa once told me. Let
what happened in the past stay in the past. It's okay to move on. To do the next right thing and to keep moving forward from there." Then she looks in his
eyes again soulfully as she tells him, "There's something I should confess." There is a long pause with Max having a curious look on his face. "I think I love
you." Max, "That's ironic." Rose, "Why?" Max, "Because I have been in love with you from the moment, I saw you." They give a passionate kiss and then Rose
asks, "Let's take the Humvee. There is a place I want you to see." Max, "Where?" Rose, "You'll see."
After an hour of driving, they stop at the edge of the road next to the woods about four miles from Ms. Moynihan's lighthouse. She then directs Max to follow
her through the trees until they come to a meadow lit up with the full moon shinning above and able to clearly see the arm of the galaxy. Rose, "Ms. M took
me here a few nights back. She says this is where she comes sometimes for quiet reflection." Then directing her focus to the moon tells Max, "She also told
me a human legend of how the sun and the moon are lovers who dance across the sky everyday while one shines brightly with passion and the other wanes
until he seems to disappear and then re-appear full and bright with life again. How sun's love brought her lover back from death. With them both creating
balance. I tell you this because tonight you were my moon when I as sun was ready to burn that man with passion born of rage. But your calm cool love
stopped me and helped me find my balance. That's why I love you." They hug again as Max replies, "I love you too. My beautiful sun fire." Then before his
eyes Rose goes dino into her T-Rex form. Then Max smells something in the air that makes him go dino UN-controllably. Then Rose and Max in their dinosaur
forms rub noses and lock jaws to let their tongues swirl with the others. Then stepping to the middle of the field Max uses his short arms to tickle Rose's left
flank. She then lowers her head and raises her tail. Max gets behind and they connect and begin mating under the moonlight with the sounds of the night
overlaid with the sound of dino love.
Both waking up the next day looking at each other and once they sniff the other. Everything from last night comes flooding back. Max, "Let's not tell anyone
about that and try to avoid doing that again. At least till after the wedding." Rose then looks at Max surprised, "Did you say wedding. As in marriage. Are you
asking me to marry you?" Max stutters and then reiterates, "I mean just something to keep in mind for further down the road as it were. But for now, let's
work on getting to know on another better and see if we work as well for each other as Sun and Moon do before taking that big step. Ok?" Rose, "Ok," then
she immediately gives him another quick kiss. Rose, "Now let's get back to the others." And so, they get in the Humvee and head back to join the others.
When they arrive, they find the rest of the group is already there with Caruso asking, "So how was your little date. Was it eventful?" Both blushing a little as
Max says, "Yup but the details are meaningless so please don't bother to ask us what else happened." Caruso irritated, "Oh come on I want to get the sweet
juice. Did you guys…" Fiona cuts him off and states, "He said don't ask. Now respect their wishes." Caruso in agitation, "Ah… You're no fun." Rose steps over
to Fiona to tell her, "Thanks Fiona." "Anytime girlfriend. What happens between the two of you is your business and no one else's. Though I hope it was good."
Rose looking back at Max before focusing back on Fiona, "It was the best."
