After for what seems like a week of traveling Rose and her group of alter egos along with Ms. M. finally arrive at the tower looking a cone covered in upward curving spikes.
Cera, "Well here we are gang. The tower of Ultima." Veronica, "How come there are no guards, guard dogs, a dragon, or just super scary dinos guarding it?" Rose, "Ultima
potentially in her arrogance probably assumed we would never get free of the chains or would just never make it here." She looks up and asks Sora, "Hey Sora can you fly up
there and see if you tell us what's at the top?" "No problem." Sora begins to fly up, but then suddenly spiked lined blasters appear around the perimeter and all over the tower
and fire purple plasma beams at her. Striking and shocking her that cause her to crash. Kattie starts positioning herself, "I got yah, I got yah…" Landing in her arms. "Guess
flying is not all it's cracked up to be." Sora, "Will you put me down already." "Sure." And Kattie drops her with an "Ow."
Sora, "Well trying to fly up is no good and I don't think digging under is an option either." Cassie in her cowardly tone, "Then how do we get in?" Rose looks around and
notices the door, "Hey look at this. This door has a symbol of Ultima and nine people under her. Nine people, nine of us. This must be the way. We'll be fine…" She tries to
open it and the entire steel door falls on top of them. Cassie, "We're never fine!" Rose, "Ms. M can you give us a hand." Cera, "Think about what you just said." "Oh, that's
right. Alright everybody push." They all push but then the door just falls back on top them again. Rose, "This can't be how it ends! Was everyone pushing their hardest?"
"Yeah!" Rose, "Cassie?" "What?! I've got tiny noodles for arms. You know being the smallest I am also the weakest." Rose, "Never mind that. This time everyone, even you
Cas, push as hard as you can on the count of three. Ready?" "Ready?" "On my count. One, two, three…" They successfully push the door off and get out from under it before
it falls back again. Inside Rose shouts, "We did it! Nothing can stop us now?!" Then looking at hearing her echo return seeing an almost spiraling flight of stairs going up. "Ah!
Come on!" Sora, "I know I'll fly up again." Rose, "Wait Sora I don't think that's a good…" Too late when Sora passes the first flight of stairs and gets struck by electric arcs
from the walls before falling all crispy and black as Rose finishes saying, "Idea." Ms. M tries to float up, but then is held back when she sees a red cord connecting her to Rose.
"Looks like since I came here to help you. I am now bond to you." Kattie, "Looks like we're going to have to take the stairs." Gladys, "Oh my knees hurt already. Literally." As
they start up Kattie sees written on the wall, 'Pull this and off you go to the fun slide.' Unable to resist she pulls it just as Ms. M shouts, "Kattie don't pull that!" "Too late."
The steps go out from under them, and the staircase becomes a spiral slide and the floor at the bottom opens up and Cera sees spikes at the bottom with the purpose of
impaling them. "Oh no you don't!" Cera braces herself and wedges her feet in the floor to stop her from sliding. She sees the rest of the group is coming down on her, "Guys,
land on me." They land on her, and she almost loses her footing. They all see the pit of spikes covered in bones and skulls 100ft below them. This makes Cassie pass out. The
floor closes, the stairway collapses, and the floors above them seal up with solid ceilings above them.
Rose looking at Kattie now in anthro T-Rex form, "What were you thinking pulling that? You almost got us killed." Kattie steps back an cowers in fear and shame as she
replies, "I wasn't thinking. That's all I seem to be. The big fat walnut sized brain idiot." After recomposing herself Rose changes back to her human form and then gently says,
"I'm… I'm sorry I yelled at you like that. And for the record I don't think you are an idiot devoid of any sense. You might not be the smartest, but you have a big, good heart.
Maybe that's the part of me you embody." With a sniff and a tear, "You really think so." "I believe you are still an important part of this team. And of me." Then turning back
to Cera, "And thank you for saving us." Cera, "Uh… Whatever, just don't expect that to be a regular thing." "Right, right. Okay now what?" Another door opens and letters of
gold appear, but in a language none of them recognize. Rose, "What is that?" Ms. M, "I recognize it. It's ancient Mesopotamian. Ultima must be trying to use a dead language
that she learned. While Rose's consciousness was asleep. Fortunately, I remember it." Veronica, "Not such a useless spirit after all." Rose, "Well what does it say?" Ms. M, "You
escaped the trap, but now your first means to a goal is no more. To reach it now you must face the gauntlet of challenges to achieve that goal of escape. You will face trials of
mind, body, and heart. Enter here and face the first stage of the trials of mind and solve the puzzles with-in to pass or be trapped forever in limbo." Cassie, "Well that doesn't
sound ominous in the least. Hash tag sarcasm." Rose, "Well it seems we have only one way to go now. So, we're going to take it." They all enter in with Cassie turning around
to head away from the door with Kattie having to grab her, "Come on Cas." "But it's scary and I don't want to." Entering and the door slams shut behind them.
