Dino Squad: Endgame

I felt that Dino Sqaud ended with a cliffhanger with the last episode "The Trojan Dinosaur." This is my version of how I feel the show could've gone had they chosen to go in a more mature direction. This includes all the main characters plus my own originals. What if Veloci had learned the D0Squads secrets and was about to bring dinosaurs back and cause humanity's extinction.Enjoy!

12. Strength of The Heart

Once they have regained their strength. They then proceed to the entrance to the trials of the heart. Rose, "Okay everybody this is it. We get through the last set of trials.

And we have made it. So, lets clear these trials and give Ultima's ego a big punch in the face." Cera, "Yeah." Gladys, "You said it girly." Sora, "We'll soar to new heights."

Diane, "We'll take a big bite of her ego." Veronica, "To show her you can't something this good looking down." "Huhhh!" Goes everyone. Donna replies, "Moving on." Kattie,

"To show her and Veloci that you can't keep a good-hearted soul down." Cassie, "And to show that even the least of us is still able to do incredible feats of courage and show

true inner strength." Rose, "Now let's complete this last series of trials and show that jackass Ultima who really rules!" "Yeah!"

When they go in the door shuts behind them and the lights go out which makes everyone panic with a big "Yeow!" Except for Rose and Donna. Rose, "Wow! Get a load of

this." Donna, "Yeah it's just like having built night vision/thermal goggles." Then Rose turns around and sees the others fumbling around in dark panicking. Rose, "Everyone

calm down." They are still in a panic. "Everybody…" Still panicking and not listening. Rose then goes dino and roars and then shouts, "Shut-up and listen you panicking

hatchlings!" That gets their attention. Rose, "Alright now listen all of you. Follow my voice and you will find me." Cera accidentally steps on Kattie's tail spikes, "OW! My foot."

Kattie, "That's my tail." Sora accidentally backs into Gladys who goes, "Who's there?" "What do you mean who is it, it's me Sora." Rose, "Hey! Listen if are next to someone

keep a hand on them at all times and keep walking forward until you reach the others." Donna arrives with Cassie. Cera with Kattie. Sora with Gladys, and Diane finds her

way too. Rose asks her, "Diane how did you find your way?" "Simple I smelled you." Rose then speaks to the group. "Alright everybody listen-up. Me and Donna have the

ability to see in the dark. If we stick together and keep our cool. We'll get out of here. Now let's form a chain and keep a constant hand on the person in-front of you. I'll be at

the front. Donna you and Cassie rife on top of Gladys at the rear and keep watch of our rear. Now let's move it."

Sometime later. Cera, "How much further?" Rose, "I don't know." Gladys, "When can we stop? My arthritis is killing me." "I don't know?" Kattie, "Are we…" "I…!" Sora, "Ok,

ok, you don't know." As they continue on Sora then sees a light. "Hey, I see a light ahead." Gladys, "Wait I see it too. Are we dead? See if I'm alive." Sora gives her a big

poke in the rear. "Ow!" "Yep, you're alive." Gladys, "Thanks, but you won't be when I smash you…" Rose, "Hey! Knock it off back there." They come over a slight rise and

enter a lighted tunnel of glowing crystals. Kattie, "Amazing!" Donna, "Rose if that was a test of leadership. You definitely passed it" Cera, "Normally I am not one for praising

or for teamwork. But I agree. Good job back there." Rose, "Thanks. Now come on gang. We're almost finished." Then Cassie comments on the air getting hotter. "Hey guys

does it feel like it is getting hotter in here or that just me." Cera, "Actually it is getting pretty toasty here." Sora, "Like a sauna." Donna, "Like a barbeque." Gladys, "Like

someone's barbequing in a sauna." Rose, "I think I see why." She says as they approach a door with a red glow beyond its entrance.

They find themselves at the edge of a pit of fire with no way across. With the door behind them shutting with a loud slam. Then the writing appears on the wall to the groups

right. Ms. M. reads, "If one who is not strong of heart is willing to take the leap and sacrifice for the good of them all. Then all will fall. But one who is true of heart and willing

to fall. Shall insure the safe passage for them all." Cassie, "Wait does that mean…" Rose, "We can only go forward if one among us is willing to sacrifice them self and die. So

that the others can continue on." Then an hourglass appears in the air above the flames and turns over to let the sand begin to run out. As the sand falls the edge of the pit

starts to crack and crumble forcing everyone against the wall. Rose, "I think we only have maybe only a couple minutes before this ledge gives out." Donna, "I say we all fall,

because this a no-win situation like back at the trials of mind. Either way we are going to lose." Sora, "Maybe I can fly over and…" The instant she begins to flap her wings the

air above them is filled with sharp rocks being fired out of holes like thousands of machine guns and the ledge gets smaller. "Then again maybe not." Cera, "As much as it

pains to admit it. Donnas right, no matter how you play this we still lose. If none of us go we all perish. If one goes. The rest will get to safety, but we still fail and will not be

able to reach the end. Cause like with my challenge with the last trial of strength. As long as we play by what's expected. We will lose unless we do the unexpected." Gladys

steps forward, "Exactly. That's why the one who is going to take the fall is me." This shocks everyone especially Rose. Rose, "Gladys why?" "Look all I've done is slow you

down. And I have not been of much help this whole time. All I've done is complain and gripe. Always the cranky old lady holding the rest of you back. Because I once asked

you why we are going through all this? It's too do is right for those who care about. I'm not fast, strong, smart, athletic, or creative. But I do have a heart that helped remind

that I have. And right now, that's all you need from me." Rose, "No for all we know it's another trap. Maybe it won't do anything, and we will all still perish." Then with a look

of calm resolve Gladys says, "It's still a chance. And any chance is better than no chance." Gladys steps over to the edge looking down at the flames. Very scared but knows

it's what must be down. Kattie reaches out a hand, but then the ground cracks more. Gladys, "No stop!" Still with a look of concern at what will happen Gladys calmly assures

her and the rest, "It will be okay. You'll be okay." As Gladys steps back to the edge Rose says, "Gladys, I'm scared." "That's why I am doing this. I am scared of the pain I'll go

through, but it will only be a moment. And I do this because I am more scared for all of you if I don't do this."

She looks over the edge again and turns back to say, "And one more thing. Never choose to give into fear of what you do not know, and never choose to give into fear." With

big gulp and closes her eyes she leaps off the edge. Everybody shouts, "No!" A pillar of fire shoots up from the pit and then disperses. The shooting rocks stop. The flames

weaken and disappear, and a rainbow bridge of light appears to cross the pit. Rose looks over to see if Gladys is okay. Cera, "Well?" With tears in her eyes Rose looks back to

tell them, "Nothing. There's no trace. Even her scent is gone." Everyone cries and lets their tears run down their cheeks. Rose, "She may have been an old and cranky

ankylosaur, but we helped her find her heart." Cera putting her hand on her shoulder saying, "Come on. We can't stay here. She would want us to press on. As they stand

before the door on the other side after crossing the bridge. It opens and they receive the greatest of all shocks. Rose, "Gladys?"

Gladys turns to face them, "What's up?" Kattie runs up her and hugs her. "Oh, Gladys you're alive!" "It's great to see you too Kate, but if you don't ease off the bear hug. I

will be dead. Because I can't breathe." "Oh! Sorry, it's just that you're alive!" Rose steps forward to ask her. "Yeah, I mean how are you alive. We thought you were burned to

ash." Gladys, "Well so did I and I felt the heat from the flames, but then I was surrounded by golden light and felt myself disintegrate. Then I found myself in here alive and

without a single piece of charred skin."

Then writing appears on the wall over the last door. Ms. M., "Only those who are indeed true of heart and are filled with love will show love really the most powerful force of

all. Only love can change a heart from the inside out. That it would compel one to put themselves completely in harm's way with no chance of survival for the individual and

make the ultimate sacrifice to save those they love. One's own life." Rose, "I think I get it now. Love at its core is about being self-less. That you values another's life as much

and sometimes more than your own, and that you'd be willing to give up your own life to save theirs." Ms. M, "Wisely said Rose." The door opens and they find themselves

standing before a great step pyramid with a beam of light shining from its top straight up. With the base surrounded by black water.

Rose, "This must be it." Then writing appears at the base. Ms. M, "It says only when you are willing to fall to your lowest point and hit rock bottom can you go up. That those

who descend to the lowest of realms. Shall reach the highest of heights and shall receive everlasting glory." Kattie, "Another brain teaser." Cera, "Well who cares that light at

the top must be the way out." Sora, "Race yah!" Rose, "Wait Sora…" The ground glows and then she is pulled down by gravity and slams down. "Ouch." Donna, "I guess this

means we have to climb." After a while Donna and veronica reach the top and find, "Nothing." Donna, "No there has to be a puzzle. A switch, or…" After looking all over just to

find, "Nothing," she has to admit. When they get down back at base. They tell the others. Cera, "So we came all this way for nothing." Rose steps away and kicks a rock out

into the black water. It then shoots straight up out of the water before falling back again and doing the same thing again and again in an endless loop. Rose, "Hmm, that's

strange." She grabs it and then drops it again to see if it will fall up out of the water again. And it does. She then tosses it aside back onto solid ground and checks out the

water. She sticks her finger in and does not see it come up again. Then she sticks her entire hand and right arm in, and still sees nothing coming back up. Then she sticks her

head in and finds herself looking down towards a small light in a cave in the dark waters. She pulls her head out to tell the group, "Guys I think we've looking in the wrong

place. Look down under the surface of the water. I think I found where the real exit is." They all look and see the light from the cave as well. Gladys, "You think way out is

down there?" Rose, "Think about how each of the last challenges forced us to think non-intuitive. The first ended with a no-win situation where it was not a test of

intelligence, but a test of humility. The second was that the only way to defeat an unbeatable violent adversary was with non-violence. And last one that only if one was

willing to sacrifice their life for the lives of others could the rest pass. Well, it follows that with what Ms. Moynihan translated that those who descend to the lowest of realms.

Shall reach the highest of heights and shall receive everlasting glory." Sora, "All forms of non-intuitive reverse psychology. Feel like we should realize that by now. But there is

big problem here. Not many of us are good swimmers." Rose, "I don't think we need too. Just jump in and let yourself fall to the bottom." Cera, "But we could drown." Donna,

"No I believe Rose is right. It all fits. The way out is not up its down. I have faith in you Rose. I trust your instincts on this." Kattie, "So do I." Gladys, "Same." Diane, "I trust

you." Veronica, "Not like we got anywhere better to go." Cassie, "I'll take the plunge." Sora, "All for one and one for all." They all look at Cera again, "Okay. Kapeesh." Ms. M,

Good girl." Rose, Here we go." She jumps in and the others follow. Falling down in the water being pulled down until they fall up out the water and are about to fall back down

to the water until Rose grabs Ceras hand. Rose, "Quick form a chain." "You heard her." They form the chain and Cassie is the last to grab Sora. Cassie, "I feel like the water

wants to swallow me up." Kattie, "Not if we can help it. Come on gang, pull!" They pull against the inverted gravity straining themselves to their limit until they are all out of

the tar-colored water. Rose while panting, "Good work everybody. Now that's what I call real teamwork." Sora, "Look," she says as she points to a pedestal coming up out of

the floor behind Rose with a beam of light shining up from it. Rose, "We did it. Come on!" They run to the pedestal, but when they arrive Rose is disappointed at seeing what's

on it. A big red button.

Rose, "Oh come on! Are you kidding me? We came all this way just to find a single lousy button." Gladys, "Lousy button my wrinkled tail. Don't you realize what that is?

That's a reset button." "Reset button? What's it reset?" Gladys knocks her on the head as she says, "It resets you and your noggin. You push it and poof. You're just you

again, just Rose." Rose, "But then what happens to you?" Cera, "Yeah like what happens to us?" Gladys, "What part of poof just Rose did you not understand?"

Back out in the real world only a couple seconds have passed, and inside Rose's mind as Ultima is about to crush Ms. Moynihan in the real world. She then goes limp and finds

herself falling back into the sub-conscious. Standing up in her velociraptor form to find her citadel tower destroyed. "What? Impossible! Where's my tower?" She turns around

to see Rose in her human form as she says, "It's gone Ultima. It's gone for good." "No. How did you...?" "The nine of us did something you and our father Victor Veloci, yeah I

accept that now, would never do." She shows her memory.

"I… I can't! If pushing this destroys you all. Then I won't do it." Veronica, "Hey don't think of it as getting rid of us forever." Cera, "We'll still be a part of you in some way."

Diane, "It's worth it to stop Ultima." Cassie, "And double worth it to stop Veloci." Kattie, "We'll be one again." Sora, "And you will have all our strengths to aid you."

Donna, "And each strength also compensates for each of our short comings." Gladys, "Alright ladies enough chit chat. Let's do this." They all put their right hand on the

button. Rose, "Thank you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All for one." Everybody, "And one for all." Rose, "And all to become one again." They push it and the

tower explodes as it is destroyed.

Ultima, "You… You…! Roar!" She charges but is knocked back by Rose and begins to fade. "Hey what's happening?!" Rose, "You are ceasing to exist as a separate personality

from me." "Wait! Wait! Don't do this. Father only wants what's best for us. He is working to save the Earth." "Not the way he thinks." "Look no one will ever mess with me.

I'm a part of you." "You're right, you are a part of me. But you are a part I no longer need. You will still be a part of me, but no longer in control or separate. So goodbye

forever Ultima." "No, it's my time. My…! Time…!" She says as she finally fades out of existence. She hears Max's voice.

Max is in his human form about to be killed by being slashed by Dominus. But then Dominus is stopped. He turns and sees Ultima stopping him before she punches him and

knocks him over. Changing back to her human form as he falls over. Max, "Rose is that you? Like really you?" Rose, "It's okay my love. Ultima and all of Veloci's programing is

gone.

From now on. I'm my own person and so I am all Rose. All the time." Max, "I'm going to need proof." "How's about this?" She picks him up and gives him a big kiss while

holding his back and supporting him in her arms. Max, "Okay, I'm convinced." Rose, "Good. Now let's stop these guys so that we can have more moments together."
