Chiron trotted his way over to the archery field. He observed the several campers who were practicing their shots. He looked on over and saw two campers he had been looking for. One was Annabeth Chase. The other was Luke Castellan, a tall, athletic boy with blonde hair and a scar on his face.

"Luke! Annabeth! A word!" Chiron called out.

The two campers broke off from their formation to meet up with him.

"Hey, Chiron. What's up?" Luke asked.

"As you two may know, we've got some… unusual campers in Camp Half-Blood." Chiron said.

"We're demigods, sir." Luke said. "We're all unusual."

"Well, these people are extra unusual." Chiron said. "They are Sarge, Dexter Grif, Richard Simmons, Lavernius Tucker, Michael Caboose, Franklin Donut, an automaton named Lopez, and a new, unclaimed demigod named Leonard Church."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "What has my half-brother gotten himself into this time? Did he faint when he saw a snake?"

"Yes, but that's beside the point." Chiron said. "Mr. D is looking for a way to handle these campers, so in the meantime, he's decided to distract them in a mock game of capture the flag. And… I've decided that the two of you are going to join them."

"What?" Luke asked.

"You can't be serious." Annabeth said. "Sir, why?"

"Mr. D wishes for them to be at a stalemate for a while until he can figure out what to do with them." Chiron said. "I figure that maybe the two of your, our best campers, could insure that they don't get themselves hurt."

"But what about our other camp activities?" Annabeth asked. "I do have to teach Ancient Greek on some days."

"We can call for a ceasefire until you can return." Chiron said. "Look. I'm not asking for much. I just want you to keep those people still for a while."

"…Why not?" Luke asked with an amused smile. "Sounds simple enough."

Annabeth sighed and gave in. "All right. But this better not interfere with my usual camp duties."

"It won't." Chiron said. "Now, we've separated the campers into two teams: a red team and a blue team. Luke, you be blue. And Annabeth, you be red."

After receiving their directions, Luke and Annabeth separated to their respective bases. Annabeth followed the directions until she came across a whole new cabin with red banners on it. She sighed and entered.

"So this must be the Red Cabin." Annabeth muttered under her breath. She then called out, "Hello! Sarge! Simmons! Donut! Where are you idiots?"

Annabeth looked around and saw a red flag in the center of the living room. But there wasn't a single camper there. She was curious, so she kept looking in other smaller rooms. Eventually, she found a map of the camp. There were three red circles around where she knew the Blue Cabin was.

Underneath the circles were the words "KILL! EXTERMINATE! ASAP! DOA! XOXO, SARGE!"

It was then that Annabeth widened her eyes and groaned. "Oh, no. They're not."

"Nice to meet you, new guy." Luke greeted to Church as he met up with them in the living room where the blue flag was. "I'm Luke, son of Hermes."

"Good for you." Church said.

"Not really." Luke said. "My dad's not exactly… Well, none of the gods are real parents. They just like to mess around with our other parents and leave us to defend ourselves."

"I just wish I knew who I would be mad at." Church said.

"What? You don't know who your godly parent is?"

"Dude, I have no idea who I really am. All I know is my name, but nothing else. I don't remember anything before waking up in this crazy camp."

"That's unusual." Luke said.

"Yeah, but it's fun to mention." Tucker said. "'Look at me. My name's Church. Who am I?'"

"Yes! Tucker talked." Caboose said. "I won the quiet game."

"Yes, Caboose, you did." Church said uncaringly. "Hey, how's about another round?"

"Yes. You are all going down."

"So while we're living together, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to set up a training regiment." Luke said.

"Why?" Tucker asked. "All we have to do is stand around and talk until Mr. D gives us the word. What's the point?"

"It's to get us ready for the game to begin." Luke said.

"I'm sorry, but who died and made you the boss?" Tucker asked.

"I swear, any one of you guys are going to be the death of me." Church said.

"I… I JUST WON AGAIN!" Caboose cheered. "Man! You guys are really bad at this game! It's like you're not even playing at all!"

BAM!

A loud gunshot echoed through the cabin walls. Everyone jumped in surprise before taking cover. Several other gunshots were heard coming from outside.

"What the eff's going on?" Tucker asked.

Luke moved on up to the front of the cabin and checked out the window. Much to his surprise, the reds were firing assault rifles and shotguns to the exterior of the cabin.

"Eat lead, you blue bastards!" Sarge yelled firing his shotgun. "Now, drop and give me infinity!"

"Yeah! Suck it, blues!" Simmons cried out.

"Hoo-rah, bitches! I'm gonna blow you…" Donut fired a rapid fire round. "Away."

"Viva la revolución!" Lopez cried out.

"I'm almost out!" Simmons yelled. "Grif, hand me another round of bullets!"

"What other round of bullets?" Grif asked.

"Are those the reds?" Church asked. "What are they doing here?"

"I don't know. But I'll take care of them." Luke said. He stuck his hands up in window view making them into a T for timeout. "Guys! Cut it out! Look, I'm coming out!" He opened the door and took a step outside, only to nearly be shot. "HEY! I said I was coming out!"

"Yeah, we know. And when we do that, we're shooting you." Sarge said. "That's part of war, dumbass."

"YOU IDIOTS!" Annabeth cried out as she ran toward the red team. Several other campers and Chiron followed her. She had a furious look on her face. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Getting an early lead." Sarge said.

"Sarge, you're supposed to wait for Mr. D's cue to attack." Annabeth said.

"Yeah, which makes this the perfect time to attack. The blues would never see it coming."

Annabeth sighed heavily. "Simmons, what are you doing? You're a child of Athena like me. You actually went along with this stupid plan?"

"Hey, I don't make the rules, Annabeth." Simmons said. "I just follow them blindly"

"You know, sometimes, I wonder why Athena decided to claim you." Annabeth said. "And Lopez, I thought you were smarter than this, being an automaton and all."

"No tuve elección." Lopez said. "Sarge instalo un comando de anulacion para hacerme hacer lo que planeara. No es el major regalo que pudo haberme dado."

"All right. That's enough." Chiron said. "Sarge, why do you and your team have guns? The cabins are equipped with swords, javelins, shields, bows, and arrows."

"Oh. Was that intentional?" Sarge asked. "I just naturally assumed you gave us the wrong weapons."

"No. Why would I allow kids to fool around with guns?"

"Why would you allow kids to fool around with swords and javelins?" Simmons retorted.

"Look, Sarge, just drop your guns right now." Annabeth ordered.

"Couldn't if I wanted to." Sarge said. "I ordered all of my men to superglue their guns to their hands."

"What?!" Annabeth asked. "Why?"

"Because that way, there will be no chance that the enemy could possibly disarm us." Sarge chuckled proudly. "I know. Foolproof."

"Sarge, this ends now." Chiron said. "Either withdraw back to the Red Cabin or else I'm putting you on harpy cleaning duty. …Well?"

"I'm thinking." Sarge said before sighing. "Fine. We'll take a casualty-free win. Happy?"

"Do I look happy?" Annabeth asked.

"OH, HELL NO!" Church yelled out as he stormed out of the Blue Cabin. "Don't think you're getting away from this Scott-free, you vandals!"

"Stand down, will you?" Annabeth asked. "I'll take care of these idiots."

"I wasn't talking to you." Church snapped.

"Excuse me?" Annabeth asked in surprise. "I happen to be a daughter of Athena, the goddess of wisdom."

"Well, bully for you. You want an effing cookie?" Church asked making Annabeth's head vein throb. "In any case, we demand retribution."

Luke chuckled nervously. "Sorry, Annabeth. Let's just throw the new guy a bone and give him something."

"Them?" Simmons asked. "All you guys are getting is humiliation and shame!"

"We already got that!" Tucker said. "What else you got?"

"Well, what do you want?" Sarge asked.

"How about you admit that red team sucks?" Church asked.

"…How about we admit that one of us sucks?" Sarge suggested.

"Yeah." Grif said. "Wait. Who's gonna admit it?"

It turned out to be Grif. After a few minutes of discussion, he reluctantly walked out.

"Do I have to do this?"

"Hey! You're the one who forgot to bring ammo." Simmons reminded. "Just go over what we said."

Grif sighed heavily before making his declaration. "I would just like everyone to know that I suck… and that I'm a girl… and I like ribbons in my hair… and I want to kiss all the boys."

Both Church and Tucker laughed at that. "Oh, man!" Church chuckled. "This is really awesome."

On the side, Chiron shook his head along with Luke and Annabeth.

"You'd think Mr. D would be here to settle things." Luke said.

Chiron raised his head at that comment. "Good point. Where is Mr. D?"

Dionysus was near the camp border examining the forest ground. It wasn't long before Chiron caught up to him.

"Mr. D, what are you doing? There was already a dispute between your red and blue teams."

"As fun as it would have been to see, I've got other things on my mind." Mr. D said. "You said that you found the new guy around here passed out and unconscious. This is right behind the barrier. And when he woke up, he has no memory of who he is other than his name."

"Yes." Chiron clarified.

"Well, how did he fall asleep?" Mr. D asked. He took a second to look at the other part of the forest before him. He took a step through the barrier for another examination. "Maybe something happened on this side of the barrier. Maybe…" D's eyes caught sight of something poking out of a nearby ditch. "What's that?"

Chiron followed him right by the ditch. "I think it's… a foot. Or at least some kind of army boot."

Both men grabbed the foot and the leg it was attached to. They then pulled it out of the ditch only to find an unusual figure laying lifeless before them.

The body they found looked human shaped, but it was entirely covered by a pitch-black body armor along with a golden visor. But the scariest part was the large mark that stretched up and down the body. A rough, very noticeable cut was exposed from its head to its lower torso. But behind the large scar, there was a mess of cut wires and broken gears on the inside of the armor.

"Is this some sort of automaton?" Chiron asked. "What's going on?"

"I don't know." Mr. D said. "But something tells me the new guy's in a big heap of trouble."

He was right. What he didn't suspect was a figure that was watching the two. When they returned to camp carrying the gutted mechanical figure, their spy went from unseen to completely noticeable. Like the body they found, this was a humanoid figure in body armor. Only the armor was white and this guy was clearly big. He carried a two-handed rifle that had a large, curved blade on its side. He made an ominous growling sound as he kept watch on the border of Camp Half-Blood. He was waiting for something. The question is, what?

Author's Note: In case you didn't infer, the body that Chiron and Mr. D found was the gutted body of Tex. And the figure that was watching them was the Meta. Hope I was clear enough.

Anyway, I've got this fun little idea. At the end of each chapter, I was thinking of adding in a little segment where each RvB character tells a different Greek myth. If you've got an idea about which character should tell which story, I'd like to hear it. I think it'd be fun.

Any and all comments are welcome.
