Chapter 27: Cure One, Cure All

WELCOME TO VALE
A sign that had been standing above Vale's entrance since the welcoming ceremony, as well as the chaotic state it had been put into. Several buildings and properties were broken thanks to the Husks inhabiting the area. Most of the citizens had fled, leaving those who stayed behind to fend for themselves as they waited for the cure.
Two police officers were seen hiding behind a rubble, exhausted by the seemingly endless wave of checked on each of their ammunitions as they recuperate.
"How much do you got left?" Burns asked his partner.
"Nothin' much. Only got a clip left. You?" Heyman asked back.
"Same here." Burns loaded his last magazine. "Think everyone made it out there?"
"I hope so. Far as I'm concerned, we're the only ones left uninfected in this precinct. You know, with most of the cadets spread out thin and all."
"God, that sucks..."
"Damn straight." Heyman sat on the floor. "Man, we've already got our hands tied with the Grimm already. We barely survived their onslaught and build a society above their sacrifice. Does it all really have to end at the hands of a... zombie pandemic?"
"Hey, I said this to you AND everyone else time and time again: Don't. Lose. Hope." Burns straigthened up. "Hikawa didn't whip us into shape for nothing. Right now he's out there, doing his superhero Rider thing like any Huntsmen would do. And even if we're not as flashy as those guys, we're all doing what we can. Holding to our hope is the least we could do."
"You sure took his words to your heart, huh?" He scoffed. "But yeah, we could REALLY use that right now. It's not like some miracle just gonna... well, fall from the sky and all that spectacle, you know what I'm sayin'?"
The two cops suddenly heard roaring bike engines heading straight towards Vale's entrance. The next thing they saw was a Huntress jumping out into the sky with her scythe, swinging it around the Husks and knocked them all away, followed by a Huntsman who shot them with his bike's guns and circled around them to pave a way for the others to come in.
The recon team had finally returned from their mission, ready to deliver the Ex-Aid Totem to cure the entire City of Vale.
"Do you always like jumping out of bikes, Ruby?" Kyle asked.
"With style!" Ruby chirped. "Superheroes always do that!"
"Believe me, I lost count on how many times she jumped out of mine." Yang remarked.
"Hey look! It's them!" Burns alerted.
"Well, what do you know? Superheroes DO exist." Heyman mused.
"It's been always that way in case your thick skull hadn't noticed!"
A Husk was sneaking behind the cops without them noticing until they saw a hammer being thrown towards the Husk, knocking it out of their backs. As the hammer vanished, they saw Emu approaching them and checking on their conditions.
"Whew... what a close call." Heyman sighed in relief.
"Everything good, officers?" Emu asked.
"We're both down to our last clips, but we held on. But the city, though..."
The recon team gazed upon the city that had almost looked like it had been deserted. Some buildings were broken into, rubbles everywhere, Husks seen lying on the ground as they had been knocked out on numerous occasions. Although, there is no telling if they would reawaken themselves at any time soon.
"Yeah... I get it." Emu replied. "Don't worry, we'll put an end to this real soon. We just need to get to the Genm Corp. Tower and work on the cure."
"You really think that'll work?" Heyman asked. "I mean, look at this city, already. Who knows how many people had been infected out there?"
"We are fully aware of that." Kuroto came in. "That's why we're going to cover the entire city, and we have the tools to do just that."
"Really?"
"You'll know it when you see it."
Beacon Academy frontyard...
"Cho Henshin!"
Kuuga transformed into his Titan Form to fight against the Tribe Kaijin. For some reason, the monster was able to copy his ability by using a great sword of his own to rival Kuuga's Calamity Titan. Their swords clashed against each other, letting out loud clangs as they struck one after another. Both landed a hit on each other and instinctively used their faster, nimbler weapons, being Kuuga Dragon Form's rod against Tribe Kaijin's rod, as well. Both of their movements were so fast that they were able to strike each other's blind spots as well as guarding their own, leaving almost no room for opening.
At this point, their battle would not be of power, but attrition. Both of them were evenly matched, especially with the resurrected Tribe Kaijin. The one who exhausted their strength first will be the one to be overwhelmed, and neither sides would be willing to give in.
Another problem that arose from Tribe Kaijin's arrival was the portals that he conjured, which contained the Husks from some parts of the city. Gaim's Helheim Flora could barely hold them as the Husks kept pushing through while Gaim himself was preoccupied by another Kaijin high above the sky. Kiva-la and Glynda stood on the front lines, reinforcing the defenses with their respective abilities.
However, both Glynda and Kiva-la could only do so much as there were some Husks that slowly broke through their barrier, as well as the Helheim Flora. The Husks kept on piling themselves into certain points that were out of their reach. If not being handled soon, they would tear the flora apart and make their way towards the people.
This is where Ozpin came in.
Using his abilities and trusty cane, he disabled the Husks as much as possible, giving the flora enough time to regrow themselves with Gaim's power. Ozpin had to admit that Kouta Kazuraba is truly something else, from being an ordinary human to becoming a godly deity of a foreign species and dividing his concentration to many points as much as possible thanks to his Golden Fruit power.
Even though this is what Ozpin is capable of, this is not much different that what Kuuga was facing. The question is, how long will they be able to withstand Dai-Shocker's onslaught?
Kyle and the recon team made their way towards their destination, where the cure machine awaits their arrival. Kyle checked on his pocket for a moment, touching it to make sure that the Ex-Aid Totem was safe inside. He took a glance of the Husks that were standing from afar and unaware of his group's existence. They headed towards the west of the city, where the Genm Corp. Tower stood tall. As they reached halfway however, they were struck by Drive and Mach, who were both turned into Husks, as well. This prompted Emu and Kuroto to engage them into combat.
"Grade X-0"
"HENSHIN!"
GACCHAN! LEVEL UP!/BUGLE UP!
MIGHTY BROTHERS! FUTARI DE HITORI! MIGHTY BROTHERS! FUTARI DE VICTORY! X!
DANGER-DANGER! (GENOCIDE!) DEATH THE CRISIS! DANGEROUS ZOMBIE! (GRAAAH!)
"Run... all of you...!" Mr. Belt warned from his belt form. His voice was strained due to the Shocker Virus infecting Drive's body attempting to silence him.
"You guys..." Weiss muttered.
More Husks were alerted by their presence as the result. With the dire situation at hand, Ex-Aid and Genm got off their bikes and prepared for their fight.
"They're here to stall us!" Genm said. "Just right when we're so close...!"
"Yeah, no kiddin'. Oh, and Kyle?"
Ex-Aid and Genm nodded to each other, both handing him their bulky Gashats: one was gray with a golden accent and the other was purple with a red accent. Each of them have their respective Rider forms sticking out of the Gashat' buttons. They are labelled as "Maximum Mighty X" and "God Maximum Mighty X".
Kyle held both Gashats in his hands. "These are...?"
"The cure machine needs to operate with 3 Gashats, all of them possess strong healing properties including those two. The other one is being held inside the Genm Corp. Tower called Doctor Mighty XX. Poppy's currently holding that one." Ex-Aid explained.
"You're going to need all 3 of them to proceed along with the Ex-Aid Totem! That way we can complete our ultimate Cure-All machine! Everything rides with its completion! Make sure you remember that every step of the way!"
"Yeah I get that, but you sounded like you wanna pick a fight, man." Kyle deadpanned.
"Now go ahead and make sure to clear this with no continues!" Ex-Aid ordered.
"And I'll make sure to clear your way, EVEN with continues!"
"Alright. We'll be on our way. Stay safe!" Kyle and team RWBY members nodded and took their leave. More Husks came towards them as the remaining group made their way towards the tower. Kyle took out his Decadriver and transformed in response.
"We'll definitely make it... I'll make sure of it!"
KAMEN RIDE:
"Henshin!"
GHOST!
LET'S GO! KAKUGO! GO-GO-GO-GHOST!
GO! GO! GO! GO!
The new announcement took the young Rider by surprise. DK-Ghost quickly regained his focus and swept the oncoming Husks away with both his Ride Booker and Gan Gun Saber. He felt more energy coursing through his body like never before. Much like Ghost, he was also able to swiftly avoid Husk attacks with his ghastly moves and strike them down the moment he found an opening.
"Okay, that's new..." he muttered.
"Is it just me or did your belt just get much noisier?" Ruby wondered.
"Must be from back in the Mirror World. Let's keep going!"
Ex-Aid and Genm continued their brawl against the brainwashed Drive and Mach with more Husks surrounding them. In terms of speed, both Drive and Mach were close to become unparalelled in their basic forms when compared to the Ex-Aidverse Riders' state at the time, thanks to the Core Driviar and Neo Core Driviar Systems.
On the other hand, Ex-Aid's Level X suit may look similar to his Level 1 suit albeit with some alterations, but he was much faster and tougher thanks to its advanced armor frames retained from his Level XX forms, making his moves nimbler despite looking like a "clown suit". With Genm Level X-0's power drain, they could slowly tire out the opposing Riders should they were given enough time.
However, the brainwashed Drive and Mach were not about to let that happen.
SPE-SPE-SPEED!
ZUTTO MACH!
With their respective Handle-Ken and Zenrin Shooter in their hands, they struck the heroic Riders in high-speed, preventing Genm from performing his task. While they were weakened, Husks piled up on them to restrict their movements.
"There's too many of them!"
"I'll get us outta here! Stand by!"
BALLOON-BODY!
Ex-Aid took out an energy item that he stored during the fight, inflating his body into a literal balloon that bounced from one Husk to another, effectively knocking down a large number of them. That way he could minimize the odds against the brainwashed Riders, as well. The Rider also noticed that he was being shot at by Drive.
REFLECT!
Next, he took the Energy Item to bounce back the bullets into the brainwashed Rider, giving him enough time to bounce his way through the Husks towards him and knocked him away before turning back to normal.
"And last but not least..."
SLEEP!
Ex-Aid tossed the Energy Item to the Husks and it sprayed a sleeping gas at them, effectively disabling their further threat. "Man, am I so glad I get to use this form!"
He glanced at Genm who was still holding on his own against the Husks and later against Mach's wild barrage of attacks. At this point, Genm was at risk of losing his stamina before he could take out Mach.
"Ex-Aid! Mind giving me some?"
"Comin' right up!" Ex-Aid gave an Energy item to Genm, causing a new effect to come into play.
EMISSION!
"BEHOLD! MY TAINTED SOUL'S ENLIGHTENMENT!"
Genm's visor emitted a bright flash that blinded the brainwashed Mach and the Husks. He took the opportunity to strike down the Husks with his Bugvisor and prepared another Energy Item as he grabbed the still disoriented Mach.
REVERSE!
"HAHA! TAKE THAT!"
The Energy Item rejuvenated Genm's strength at the expense of Mach's, instantly turning the odds against the latter. Genm relentlessly struck him with his Gashacon Bugvisor. As much as Ex-Aid wanted him to hold back for a bit, he knew that the Dangerous Zombie Gashat was the one that exacerbated his bloodlust persona, hence why at often times he became seemingly more unhinged whenever he's using it in battle. The best he could do was to give him some remarks down the road.
"You know what I'm gonna say for this, right?" Ex-Aid asked as Drive and Mach got cornered.
"Oh, don't worry! The virus dampened their pain, remember? Once we cured everyone, they won't remember the pain of our attacks! Which is why..."
"There's no need to hold back. Yeah honestly, I'm afraid you're gonna say that." Ex-Aid deadpanned over his exhilrated former nemesis. "Still... hold this one out for us all, guys!"
DOUBLE KIMEWAZA!
MIGHTY DOUBLE CRITICAL STRIKE!
CRITICAL END!
The two Ex-Aidverse Riders executed their signature multi-kicks: launching a flying side kick and continuing it with a barrage of kicks in mid-air. Multiple "HIT!" effects appeared and as the Riders ended their finishers, a "PERFECT!" sign appeared from behind.
"I'll admit... even if you never intended to hold back... your concern over them is what defines you, Emu. Even for a no-good bastard like me." Genm spoke slowly to himself beneath his ghastly helmet.
"Hey, Genm..." Ex-Aid panted from the exhaustion.
"What is it?"
"I dunno if I could hold for another round, but it looks like we're still not done yet."
"I know. This would be a long day, indeed."
The two Riders faced towards the oncoming Husks, as their future remains shrouded in mystery.
Several barricades were set around the streets near the Genm Corp. Tower. A huge wave of Husks were trying to get past the tower's defenses, and the ones that stood in their way were Ghost, Specter, and Necrom. The three Riders were drawing the Husks' attention towards them so that they wouldn't proceed further into the tower. However, the Husks' would never let themselves out any time soon, giving the Riders a little time to breathe.
A loud shout broke through the chaos and pushed through the wave of Husks from behind, glimmering with hope.
"MOVE IT!"
FINAL FORM RIDE/FINAL ATTACK RIDE : GHO-GHO-GHO-GHOST!
After the Ghost spectre turned into a giant Eyecon and its Parka latched onto Decade's armor, the Rider kicked the giant Eyecon into a group of Husks coming towards their way. The Eyecon also grew big enough to clear a path for them to come through. The remaining recon team finally reached the Genm Corp tower.
"Cavalry's here." Decade-Kai said as he turned back to to his regular form
"Finally..." Specter muttered in relief.
"The main stars are here." Necrom continued.
"Alright! You guys made it!" Ghost exclaimed. "Where's Emu and Kuroto?"
"They're dealing with Drive and Mach, back there."
"So they got turned, too..." Ghost muttered.
"I take it you have the Totem and Maximum Gashats, already?" Necrom asked. Kyle took out the aforementioned items from his pocket and waved them at him. "Good work. Meet up with Akari and Sento inside the tower. They should be expecting you at the 5th floor."
"We'll hold these Husks as much as we could. There's no telling how many of them are still out there." Specter said. Suddenly, "What the-!"
Suddenly, Tiger Kaijin struck down Specter and continued his assault on the others until Ghost stopped him in his tracks. Yang and Blake kicked and drove the monster away with their respective weapons as Necrom went to help Specter back on his feet. Tiger Kaijin kneeled as he recuperate from the attack, but behind him was another wave of Husks heading towards the tower.
"Now then, what can you possibly do while you're severely outnumbered? Tiger Kaijin mocked.
"You asked for it! Everyone, form up!"
Ghost lifted a huge Driver belt-sized, golden eyeball-like device to the air. 15 Parka Ghosts appeared from the device called Eyecon Driver G and circled around the tower to form a golden barrier to keep the Husks away. Tiger Kaijin was inside the barrier, but the Riders and Huntresses would not let him get away easily.
"A wise move, I admit." Tiger Kaijin mused.
"You're right. Can't risk have you outside and open a path for 'em." Ghost said.
"And I get to beat the crap outta 'ya real close." Specter said. "Right, buddy?" He said to Ghost as the latter nodded.
"You're not getting in our way, now! Not while we stand, here!" Necrom boasted as he and his fellow Ghostverse Riders went on their stances.
"In that case..." Tiger Kaijin summoned several Beowulfs and Ursai.
"So much for delivering a cure..." Blake cursed. She then told her teammates. "We'll hold down the line! Go!"
"You're gonna need a heavy-hitter, too. I'm up for the job." Yang pumped her fists.
"Yang! Blake!" Ruby shocked by their sudden decision.
"You don't need too many people just to plug that Totem in, right?" Yang said. "In the meantime, this big sis is gonna make sure no one gets in your way."
"What she said." Blake followed.
Ruby steeled her resolve, nodding to her two teammates and went on inside with Decade-Kai and Weiss. "We'll be going, then. Be careful, you two."
"We're gonna do this real quick. So hang in there, alright?" Decade-Kai patted both of their shoulders, replied with their nods before he went on with the others.
"Do us proud, guys." Yang silently wished as the menacing Tiger Kaijin stood in front of the heroes.
Decade-Kai, Ruby and Weiss had reached the empty tower hall. They were suddenly ambushed by the Cobra Kaijin, who teleported his way into the building. His sickles were violently swung at his opponents. Weiss engaged the Cobra Kaijin first, arming herself with the Myrtenaster. The two traded hits and clashed both of their weapons against each other.
"Since when-?"
"Oh, I simply waited for the chance to come, heiress."
After the two fighters broke away from the lock, Weiss gave her Rider companion a chance to attack. Cobra Kaijin swung his sickles at her, but Decade-Kai managed to quickly block his attacks with his Ride Booker sword, countering the Kaijin's moves with more precise attacks compared to when he first started. He could see where the Kaijin would swing his sickles and his quick reflexes enabled him to respond the attacks in quick succession.
However, this does not mean that the Kaijin did not have any cards up his sleeves. Thanks to his new Dark Dust enhancement, Cobra Kaijin was able to spray venom out from his mouth. Decade-Kai quickly jumped back as the venom hit his left arm, but luckily it was not too deep. He could not risk having his arsenals disabled before he could deliver the Shocker Virus solutions.
Weiss summoned her ice glyph to freeze the monster in his tracks, enabling Ruby to strike him rapidly with her scythe. Despite landing a few hits, the Kaijin quickly broke out of his confinement and slithered away to avoid Ruby's scythe. He went for the Huntress' back, but she quickly shot her weapon's gun portion to not only counter him, but also propel herself away to maintain her distance. Ruby then landed a few hits to the Kaijin before going in for the final blow.
However, Cobra Kaijin anticipated this by preparing his venom. Decade-Kai noticed this and rushed to reach her, but he was too far away to make it in time.
"I've got you now!"
"Ruby!" Decade-Kai shouted.
Weiss jumped towards Ruby to get her away from the venom's range. However, the venom hit her right shoulder. Weiss felt a stinging sensation on her right shoulder, which made her difficult to move her right arm. Her breath became heavier, cringing due to the exhaustion and pain.
"Weiss!"
Decade-Kai growled as he silently blamed himself for not being there to get Ruby away on time. He changed his form to engage the Cobra Kaijin once again.
KAMEN RIDE:
"Henshin!"
KUUGA DRAGON FORM!
As DK-Kuuga went against Cobra Kaijin, Ruby went on to check on Weiss.
"Weiss! Talk to me! Weiss!"
"I-it's fine..." Weiss assured, albeit her right arm limping. "He didn't get my sword arm."
"Dangit, I..."
"Hey." Weiss halted. "My duty is to keep you in top shape. There's nothing for you to apologize for. And besides..." she paused. "I'm not your second in command for nothing. I'll gladly do this again, if I have to. So keep your head up." Ruby nodded.
DK-Kuuga's water attribute and agility enabled him to go toe-to-toe against the slippery Kaijin. He was able to follow his movements, giving almost little to no openings for the monster. His Dragon Staff was the perfect countermeasure against Cobra Kaijin's sickles.
However, the Kaijin never planned to fight fair. He summoned several Combatants to attack the Rider from behind. This forced him to maintain his distance, but he also neeeded to consider his friends' safety, as well. He decided to regroup first.
"You good, Weiss?" DK-Kuuga asked.
"Just a limp arm." Weiss panted.
"Limp!? Must be the venom..." He cursed under his helmet.
"More importantly... We're surrounded." Ruby said as the Cobra Kaijin and the Dai-Shocker Combatants surround them.
Just in the nick of time, several beams shot out towards the Dai-Shocker forces. The blast came from Akari, who was holding a customized gun similar to Gan Gan Saber's gun mode, but with some devices attached on it. A device was also seen strapped on her left arm similar to Necrom's MegaUloader.
"Heya!"
"Akari!" Ruby said.
"Looks like I haven't told you guys yet, right? Now then..." Akari took out an Eyecon similar to Necrom's, but its iris was colored in yellow. She pressed the Eyecon's button and prepared to insert it into the MegaUloader, but not before chanting the magic word: "Henshin!"
LOADING!
A black Parka Ghost with yellow accents appeared from the MegaUloader, along with a black smoke that formed a suit of armor into her entire body. The Parka descended upon her as yellow lights flashed from the smoke. After the smoke dissipated, Akari had worn a Ghostverse-type Rider armor that looked a bit simpler compared to the others of the same type. She had finally transformed into Dark Necrom Y.
"Kamen Rider Dark Necrom Y!"
"Whoaaa!" Ruby squealed. "Akari's a Rider too?"
Dark Necrom Y shot her gun upwards, causing the beam to disperse once it stopped mid-air. The beams hit the Combatants and the Kaijin, pushing them back so that Dark Necrom Y could precisely shoot them all, one at a time. As the Combatants were still recuperating the Cobra Kaijin charged forward. The Rider had been expecting this move by shooting a powerful charged beam at him and sent him tumbling down the floor.
"I'll never get enough of using Shiranui like this." She referred to her gun.
"I-impossible! How could a regular human like you use an Eyecon!?"
"I was lucky to find a Ghostverse system that I could tinker with. And with the Rider League backing me up, I could whip this up into a fully-working Loader for a regular like me to use." Dark Necrom Y explained. "Plus, can't have the others leave me in the dust, can I?"
Weiss summoned her ice Glyph to partially freeze her right shoulder so that she could ease her pain. She regained her composure once more.
"I'll back you up, Akari." She volunteered.
"You sure?"
"I feel like I could still get myself moving. Just need to keep myself away from the venom, I think." Weiss twitched her right hand's fingers, noticing that she could still recuperate from the venom slowly. "Our priority is to get the cure working. We can't waste any more time, now We'll take care of them while you guys go on ahead." Weiss ordered.
"You sure about this, Weiss?" Ruby asked.
"Who do you think I am? It would take more than these whackjobs to stop me." she scoffed, preparing her Myrtenaster. She ordered with her authoritative tone. "Don't ever stop, no matter what. Got it?"
"You heard the lady!" Necrom Y said. "Everyone's waiting for you. Now go!"
"Just come back in one piece." Ruby nodded as she and DK-Kuuga went on ahead.
"I don't know how much I could do in this state... but I'll provide the support you need." Weiss said.
"In that case, let's do this!"
Kyle and Ruby had arrived in the room where Sento had been expecting them. The Rider opened his helmet to reveal his face once they entered the room. They went on to debrief their next step.
"We're here!" Ruby said.
"Where's Poppy?" Kyle asked
"She's resting inside that game cabinet. It'll take a while before she could be deployed." Sento informed, pointing at the blank-screened game cabinet in the corner.
He showed them a white big Gashat labelled as 'Doctor Mighty XX', "Poppy used all of her strength to deliver this to us, and it was thanks to Parad that she made it here. This Doctor Mighty Gashat has superior healing properties needed to get the cure working. With the Maximum Gashats and the Ex-Aid Totem backing it up, we can boost the process and its effects, completely eradicating the Shocker Virus. At least, that's the theory."
"Then we have to get it working now." Kyle firmed. "Everyone gave their all and willing to stay behind so that we could advance. We can't let their efforts be in vain. We promised to return back alive, after all."
"He's right." Ruby said, also remembering how her friends gave their all so that she could move on. "All the cards are on the table, as they say. With Kyle and the Totem being one of our essentials here, we can finally get the cure working."
"Essentials, huh?" Kyle took another look at the Ex-Aid Totem. It was true that all this time, Kyle was the only one who was entrusted with the possession of Rider Totems. He wondered if he could shoulder it all by himself. And so, he gazed at Ruby after reaching an answer.
"Ruby... I need you to do something for me."
A gray dimensional veil appeared in the depths of Emerald Forest. From it, came out Decade and Gamedeus. Both of them skidded into the ground beside them. The Rider then took out his card and changed into another form.
FORM RIDE: AGITO FLAME!
D-Agito took out his Flame Sword and locked both of his weapons against Gamedeus' sword, sending out violent sparks that burned the grounds beneath them. As the two traded hits with their swords, Gamedeus used his shield's arm to grab D-Agito and fling him away, but the Rider sliced the arm and walked through it so that he could tear the shield apart with his Flame Sword. Despite losing his shield, Gamedeus grew even more aggresive with his attacks. As the flames spread bigger into the trees, Gamedeus directed the flames towards the Rider.
FORM RIDE: KUUGA DRAGON!
D-Kuuga jumped back and extinghuished the flames away by spinning his Dragon Halberd and stabbed it to the ground. A sphere of water was formed and exploded, successfully extinghuished the flames and disoriented the Kaijin.
KAMEN RIDE: KUUGA!
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: KU-KU-KU-KUUGA!
Both of D-Kuuga's fists and boots were set ablaze as he threw a flurry of flaming punches. He kicked the monster forward through several trees, which cut them all down in the process. Gamedeus looked up to the sky to see D-Kuuga already aiming his kick at him. The finisher connected to his chest, piercing through the monster and caused an explosion.
However, it was still far from over. D-Kuuga looked back to see Gamedeus still standing up, seemingly unfazed by the attack. The Rider soon noticed that his attack did get through him, but the hole in his chest was quickly closed, or rather knotted back by a dark haze.
"What the hell!?" his eyes widened beneath his visors.
"Surprised?" Gamedeus gloated. "I am a virus incarnate. My cells will keep regenerating as long as a portion of me exists. You have my creator's Dangerous Zombie to thank for that."
"That won't be enough to stop me from reaching you."
"We'll see."
Gamedeus powered himself up with the Dark Dust energy that resided within him, causing a violent aura was released from his body. The monster dashed towards his enemy with unimaginable speed. Through this fight, Gamedeus was able to read the patterns of D-Kuuga's attacks due to the latte's exhaustion. The Husks clearly had taken a toll on his body. He knew that the Rider was desperate, and he would not miss the chance to take down the former Dai-Shocker General.
KAMEN RIDE: DECADE!
ATTACK RIDE: ILLUSION! SLASH! BLAST!
Going back to his basic form, Decade used every abilities at his disposal. He summoned his shadow clone and had them all powered up to attack the monster. Gamedeus let the attacks hit him first, then quickly recuperated himself to attack the Decade clones, tearing them all apart. Being a monster himself, Gamedeus could shoulder every pain that he took from the attacks.
The monster finally stabbed the only Decade left in the field. However, it turned out to be just another clone with the real one nowhere to be seen. Until...
ATTACK RIDE: INVISIBLE!
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: DE-DE-DE-DECADE!
Decade sprang out from Gamedeus' back and delivered a downward vertical slash, continued with consecutive slashes to ensure that Gamedeus could not grow himself back. However, Gamedeus took out his Dark Dust Crystal in time and stabbed it onto his remaining flesh. The crystal boosted his regeneration in time to stop Decade's attack and grab him. Gamedeus lifted him to deliver his own final blow.
"You're finished!"
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: DE-DE-DE-DECADE!
Decade shot his gun at Gamedeus, which got the latter thinking that it was a desperate attack. Gamedeus continued delivering his upward slash towards Decade, but he was too late to realize that Decade used the blast's recoil to send himself backwards. Gamedeus' sword connected to Decade, but it only sliced the Decadriver's core in half and grazed the armor's chest.
Decade was sent rolling into the ground as his transformation was cancelled out. His belt's core was broken from the immense attack. As a new breed of Kaijin, Gamedeus' power levels had reached the levels that his past self could never achieve.
"Impressive. You've managed to dodge my sword at the last second. I would've cleaved you in two, had you not."
"I'm gonna have to charge you for that." Tsukasa said, making the Kaijin chuckle.
"You are strong, or perhaps one of the strongest indeed, Decade. But as you are the unstoppable force... I am the immovable object. I'll make sure to take you down before I finally greet my one true creator for the last time."
"Let me guess, you're planning on showing that ability to Kuroto once you reached him. I know full well that you and the Shocker Virus are the result of his folly. With you turning my friends and Remnant's people into Husks, you wanted to make him wallow in despair. But I won't let that happen."
"Oh?"
"Let me tell you this, Gamedeus: that man spent countless efforts to reform himself once he joined the All Kamen Rider League. It took me and Emu quite a long time to get him open up to us. All this time, he had always wanted to be recognized and acknowledged for his talents. He released the Bugster Virus because... he doesn't know how to deal with people who's just as talented as him. He had never knew how to make proper friends."
"Nonsense. A maniac like him would never have such thoughts."
"Sometimes it takes other people to recognize one's true self. I know that Kuroto never claimed it himself, but I happen to be a perceptive guy. I can see through him from his actions. His progress was rather slow, but it's still there. And it's my job as a Kamen Rider, and the League's leader to show him the way."
Tsukasa took out a device resembling a smartphone with his trademark barcode motif. He inserted a card with symbols of other Riders, including his own.
"Then again... it's not just Kuroto you should be concerned about." He taunted. "In case you forgot... there's a new kid in town."
The heroes had finally reached to the top, where they prepare the cure machine. The plan was to convert the serum into a gas using the Maximum Gashats, Doctor Mighty XX, and the Ex-Aid Totem which took the form of the original Mighty Action X Gashat. The serum gas would then be launched into the sky and have it explode so that it would spread the entire town and sterilize it from the Shocker Virus, thereby eradicating it once and for all.
Sento had already set up the machine at the designated perimeter so that it could launch the cure safely. Suddenly, the heroes were approached by the resurrected Spider Kaijin, who had been expecting their arrival.
"Long time no see."
"You... you're the one that we fought, back then!" Ruby exclaimed.
"I knew it..." Kyle muttered. "Of all the resurrected monsters that I've encountered... I've got a feeling that you'll be the one who's gunning at me in the end. Somehow..."
"Poetic, isn't it?" the monster chuckled. "Master Xiphon is the one who ordered me to specifically come after you. He told me that you'll know the reason why if you look at yourself, first!"
"What the-?" he muttered, unsure of what to make of the monster's words.
"In that case, we'll just take you out, again!" Ruby prepared her weapon,
"I doubt you'll have it easy, little red!" Spider Kaijin summoned several Dai-Shocker Combatants at his disposal, surrounding the heroes and the machine behind them. Surprisingly, the Kaijin was able to set up a Game Field that engulfed the entire rooftop. Not only did it trap the heroes inside what appeared to be a city covered with massive webbings, but also put the cure machine inside a web bubble as if it was a game trophy.
"A Game Field? But how?" Sento wondered.
"A gift from Gamedeus that I asked for upon my resurrection." He answered. "It's just a simple game. Whoever wins will claim the machine for themselves. I have been longing for a payback after my death for the Rider and little red over there, but your participation would be welcome, Kamen Rider Build."
"Guess we've got no choice. You guys ready?" Kyle asked.
"Heck yeah!" Ruby twirled her sycthe and prepared her battle stance.
"Then I'll have my belt ask it again." Sento answered as he and Kyle took out their Driver Belts.
KAMEN RIDE: / RABBIT! TANK! ARE YOU READY?
"HENSHIN!"
DECADE! / HAGANE NO MOONSAULT! RABBIT TANK! YEAH!
FINAL FORM RIDE: GA-GA-GA-GAIM!
Decade-Kai slowly swung the FFR to the back as both Build and Ruby got on top of the blade tip. The Rider swung it forward and propelled both of them towards the enemy, taking out their respective weapons so they could reach the Spider Kaijin. As Decade cleaned up the rest of the Combatants, Ruby both slashed and shot the monster using the Crescent Rose's existing functions as Build struck him with the Drill Breaker's spinning drill. They struggled against Spider Kaijin's spider legs and claws that effectively countered their attacks, until they created an opening to strike him.
TANK! VORTEX ATTACK!
Build used the Tank Fullbottle on his Drill Breaker and shot Spider Kaijin's back at the same time as Ruby shot him with her weapon's shotgun mode. Despite this however, Spider Kaijin's durability had rendered unscathed. The two switched over to Decade-Kai, who quickly equipped his Kuuga Form and threw his punch right towards the Kaijin's chest.
KAMEN RIDE: KUUGA!
D-Kuuga charged up his flames on his gloves and boots, throwing punches and kicks that slowly burnt the monster's skin. Spider Kaijin withstood the attack so that he could spit his web into the Rider's helmet, blinding him as he caught his hand and slammed him into the ground. D-Kuuga regained his composure and quickly dodged away from Spider Kaijin's attack from behind. He took out 2 more cards from his Ride Booker and used them.
FINAL FORM RIDE: KU-KU-KU-KUUGA!
KAMEN RIDE: GAIM!
ORANGE ARMS! HANAMICHI ON STAGE!
A pair of shiny swords and pincers made their way towards the monster, effectively countering the spider legs in quick succession. Spider Kaijin had finally realized that this is a much different warrior that he was fighting from when they first met. His approach became more tactical as he used his new equipments effectively. Had Decade-Kai was still the same, the Kaijin would have made a quick work out of him.
But enough is enough. Spider Kaijin had held himself back for quite some time. It is time he unleashed his new power.
"It seems that I have underestimated you... Kyle Morgan. But no more!"
Spider Kaijin's body was glowing with a violent Dark Aura that caused several glitches in the Game Area, including the bubble that encased the cure machine. The spider legs on his back slowly mutated into a huge spider body that made him look like he was using a giant spider mechsuit made out of Grimm flesh. His hands were changed into razor sharp spider stingers and the spider body's legs lifted up his body.
"It can't be..." Build muttered. "He had the Dark Dust inside him this whole time!?"
"I never thought I'd see him again, like this...!" Ruby gritted her teeth.
"I've desired this very power from the moment I've returned, Rider! With this new power, I'll make sure you and your pesky Huntress suffer the same fate as I had!"
"Wha-Pesky!?" Ruby growled.
"Not if we have anything to say about it!" D-Gaim countered.
"Let's go!" Build shouted, the others nodded in return.
SAME! BIKE! BEST MATCH!
FORM RIDE: / ARE YOU READY!
"Build up!"
"Henshin!"
GHOST MUSASHI DAMASHII!
KETTO, ZUBATTO, CHO KENGO! / DOKUSOU HUNTER! SAMEBIKE! YEAH!
As Kamen Rider Decade-Kai assumed his Ghost Musashi Damashii, Kamen Rider Build adorned his new form made out of navy shark and red bike halves, with the latter having a similar motif as his own Machine Builder bike. He was armed with a razor-sharp fin on his right arm and a bike wheel buzzsaw on his left arm. His visors' shapes turned into a red bike grip on the right and a diving navy shark on the left.
"Ruby, right now our forms have matched your abilities in speed and sharp weapons. I think you should take the lead, this time." Build suggested.
"Ready when you are, Rubes." D-Ghost said.
"Alright, gentlemen... HERE WE GO!"
Ruby sped up with her Semblance as D-Ghost and Build followed her from behind. Her Scythe connected to the monster's pincers as they clashed against each other. It was so strong that not even the Crescent Rose could slice it apart. She used the gun portion next to change her trajectory upwards so that she could gain a higher ground and give an opening for the Riders to follow suit.
D-Ghost's Gan Gun Saber went against the pincers next and Build used his shark fin and bike wheel buzzsaw to cut the monster through. However, the enhanced Spider Kaijin used his quick reflexes to counter every single of their attacks. When Ruby descended and delivered a heavy slash from above, the Spider Kaijin quickly jumped out of the way and caused Ruby's scythe to hit the ground instead.
Despite how he looked, Spider Kaijin's body was nimble and agile. It was made clear that the Dark Dust crystal was able to defy the laws of physics with this predicament alone. The heroes engaged the monster once more in a high-octane battle, trading hits in high speed until one of them tires out.
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: GHO-GHO-GHO-GHOST!
READY GO! VORTEX FINISH!
As Ruby used her Semblance, D-Ghost and Build used their finishers to match up with her speed. Both sides were seemingly balanced until the Riders managed to injure his spider legs to disable him and cut off his pincer hands, giving Ruby a chance to use her gravity Dust to speed up and delivered a heavy blow to the Spider Kaijin, causing him to explode.
However, the heroes turned back to see the Spider Kaijin's body already withered, and they were too late to react to the monster's counterattack. Sparks flew from the Riders' armors and Ruby's clothes were torn out as they were being attacked by his high-speed combo. The Riders were cancelled out of their transformations.
It was revealed that despite being injured, Spider Kaijin was able to heal himself. He used the opportunity to strike back and in turn, successfully claimed the trophy: the cure machine itself.
"Wh-the hell...!?" Kyle muttered.
"You... you rigged this all from the start!" Ruby gritted.
"It seems that I've owned the game now, Rider." Spider Kaijin said. "Now you understand the true power of Dai-Shocker. You never had any choice because the winner has already been decided from the start. Now, if you excuse me..." The Kaijin approached the cure machine as it descended in front of him.
"Dammit...! Is there really no other way to beat this guy?" Sento growled. "To think that we already fought in a losing game from the start..."
"Game?" an idea suddenly popped up in Kyle's mind. "Say guys... what do you think will happen if I went to far from the Game Area?"
"I'm not really sure... how that would help." Sento said.
"Well, if it's a fighting game... normally there would be invisible walls... wait, you don't mean?" Ruby's eyes widened in realization, knowing what Kyle was about to do.
Kyle nodded as he took out his Agito card. "I'm gonna ride everything on this, guys. Wish me luck."
"Wait, Kyle!"
KAMEN RIDE:
"Henshin!"
AGITO!
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: A-A-A-AGITO!
D-Agito performed a gesture that caused his horns to reveal more sets of horns. A bright golden light took a form of the Agito crest as it swirled around D-Agito's right boot, slowly crushing the ground beneath him due to its sheer power. After taking a deep breath, D-Agito wasted no time in rushing towards the evolved Spider Kaijin and kicked him off the roof. The monster was too late to react as his kick connected to his giant spider body. This also caused the Rider to fall off, as well.
"I'll leave the rest to you!" he shouted as he regained his composure in mid-air.
"Kyle!" Ruby screamed.
"Impossible! This is what you're after all this time!?"
D-Agito punched the Kaijin in the face. "Might as well rig the game myself!"
The two exchanged one hit after another as they fell. The Kaijin's face and body were slowly bruised and disfigured from the Rider's attacks. However, D-Agito also received a damage on his armor as sparks flew from the monster's stinger hands grazed him. Spider Kaijin headbutted him and kicked him away, maintaining his distance so that he could launch a web and deliver a final blow at him. However, D-Agito gathered himself back together and took out 2 cards from his Ride Booker.
FINAL FORM RIDE: A-A-A-AGITO
The FFR Agito Tornader caught him in time and accelerated to avoid the Spider Kaijin's trajectory, thereby enabling him to hit the monster from the side and activate his finisher.
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: A-A-A-AGITO
Decade rammed the monster with his finisher and ran him through the Genm Corp. Tower and several building blocks down below. Electricities began running through Decade's body as the form's drawback began to take a toll on him. Despite the pain, Decade pushed through until both he and Spider Kaijin hit an empty warehouse near the tower. His transformation was cancelled once again due to the drawback. Spider Kaijin also took a considerable damage as well, forcing him to discard his evolved spider body due to the damage and returned to his bipedal legs.
Kyle gathered his remaining strength to stand up, but he was too late to react when the Spider Kaijin pinned him to the wall.
"Curse you... curse you, Decade-Kai!" Spider Kaijin growled as he slowly crushed the Rider. "I'll admit, your persistence amuses me to the very that pesky Huntress, you were able to keep me hooked onto this fight. How unfortunate, Rider, that you were not able to save the world by yourself!"
In the midst of total despair however, Kyle Morgan chuckled as he revealed his trump card.
"You think... I don't know that?" Kyle said. "I understand why Xiphon told you to come after me. All this time, you Kaijins are always driven by the same thing: you all desire the power of Kamen Riders. I know that because Xiphon's the one who made you. That's why you're gunning at me... at this very moment... because you knew that I'm the patient zero... the Kamen Rider who began all of this in the first place."
"So, you've realized, Rider. But it's far too late."
"That's why... I've got someone up there to finish the job... or should I say, the game."
The Kaijin's eyes widened as he had just realized, "What!? It can't be... you don't have the Totem, do you!?"
"You see, Dai-Shocker... we don't always hog all the glory to ourselves." Kyle pointed up at the sky. "So, why don't you take a good look at the sky?"
Earlier...
Ruby and Sento went on to prepare the cure machine, having the Doctor Mighty and Maximum Gashats inserted into their respective slots. Thanks to Kyle's efforts, they were able to set everything up undisturbed. They were still concerned as to what happened to Kyle after the fall, especially Ruby. But looking at the Gashats and the Totem that Kyle entrusted to her, she knew that she still had a part to play.
The final preparations were set as Sento had already finished the check-ups. All that is left is for Ruby to insert the Ex-Aid Totem into the last cure machine processed the materials necessary to generate the solution, making sure that its effects would be widely spread as much as possible in order to eradicate the Shocker Virus. Finally, the machine was fully operational and ready for deployment.
"All systems are operational. We're ready to go."
"This is it." Ruby said."Kyle gave us this chance. Everyone gave us this chance. It's time to save them all."
"Punch it." Sento instructed.
Ruby nodded and pressed the button to launch a module carrying the cure high into the sky. After it reached a certain altitude, the module exploded and released a blue cloud that spread many kilometers away. The cloud rained down several blue particles that went through many corners of the city, turning the Husks back to normal humans, releasing the brainwashed Riders from the virus' control, and at the same time, weakening the Dai-Shocker Kaijins.
Spider Kaijin felt his body became heavier than usual. His strength slipped away as the blue hazes surround the area. At the same time however, Kyle's energy was rejuvenated due to the hazes' healing properties. Since the cure was designed to combat the Shocker Virus, and that the Kaijins were powered by said virus, it was made evident that the tables had finally turned.
"No! My... my powers are...!"
"Beautiful, isn't it? No matter how many times you tried to bring us down... not a single one of us backed down. The Huntsmen protected this world for many years. They sweat and bleed so that others may live. Their fighting spirit is why the Kamen Riders came to help them, even if we're worlds apart. Your mistake, Dai-Shocker, is that you overlooked their potential."
The Kaijin growled as Kyle continued. "You know, I never really told this to anyone, but deep down I used to think that I should've handled Dai-Shocker all by myself so that the people of this world won't get hurt. The more I spend my time in Beacon alongside my friends, the more I realized that I could only do so much, even with all the power that I have. I guess I'm starting to understand why Ozpin assigned me to 2 teams, even though I still don't have a team of my own unlike them."
Kyle's body began flickering with static imageries, faintly changing some parts of his body into Decade and Ex-Aid's suit.
"So hear me out, you freak: you can try tearing me apart all you want... BUT I'LL NEVER YIELD TO YOU!"
The Ex-Aid Totem was lifted from the machine's slot by it's own and flew towards Kyle's position. It arrived and circled around the Rider.
"Because I'm the one who's going to clear this hellish game!"
KAMEN RIDE:
"HEN...SHIN!"
EX-AID!
MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MIGHTY-MIGHTY ACTION X!
And so, the war horn was sounded for the battle that would change Remnant once and for all.
(A/N)
Hello there, and here is the 27th chapter of RWBY : DCD!
First things first, it's been a long while since I've posted a new chapter for this fanfic (once again! Lol XD), and I gotta say, writing many of these scenes took quite a toll for me, especially since I'm working on all of this alone and that I had to pay attention to all of the build-ups that I had set a long time ago. It's still a long road ahead, both on and off the net, but I ain't quitting anytime soon!
Also yes, I turned Akari into a Rider, too! Since the Dark Necrom series is basically a mass-produced Ghost Rider System, I figured that a genius like her would get her hands easy on that device especially with her under the tutelage of Sento Kiryu himself. It's also an idea that I had for quite a long time, especially before the Reiwa era came to be, and I'd like to stick with that.
As Kamen Rider Decade-Kai gains his new power and the cure being deployed, the raging battle between the Huntsmen and Kamen Riders against Dai-Shocker will soon reach its climax! Who will triumph over the fate of Remnant?
As always, leave your comments below and remember, BE CONSTRUCTIVE.
Until next time.
